Leona's Pizzeria - Irving Park

I write this review after having ordered a couple of times, both from their temporary location in Roma’s and their new Irving Park one. The Detroit and thin crust pizzas are great. We enjoyed the bbq chicken. We were disappointed with our most recent order of a Sicilian style “hot peppi” and an Italian beef. The Sicilian style is weird. It’s like a thick focaccia crust with 80% crust and the rest in toppings. It’s also not hot like the name promised. We paid extra to have cheese on the Italian beef and it didn’t come with it. We’ll give it another try or two before deciding whether to keep the place in our regular rotation.

Took a risk and ordered the “new” Detroit style motor city special pizza for delivery. It was unanimously voted terrible amongst our party. Way too doughy and the toppings were sub par. Will not order Detroit style again. Maybe their thin crust is better?

Mine was delivery. Overall the online experience was good. It was easy to navigate and customize my pizza. My order was delivered warm and on time. My pizza tasted great and I gave it 3 stars because it was well done NOT burned but well done. Leona's is a good restaurant and I only just came back to them because their new location is nearby. I will go back.

i grabbed a pepperoni slice first then saw the vodka chicken parmesan slice last billy hooked me up with one and that vodka chicken was fire the sauce was creamy with a little kick reminded me of some real good ala vodka pasta the chicken was tender and the cheese hit just right one of the best slices i’ve had in a minute definitely coming back for that vodka chicken again

My pizza was dry, needed more sauce. Chicken was very chewy and tough to eat. Even the onions were chewy. The crust was hard. I was not happy. I used to frequent their Rogers Park location years ago and it was delicious, so I was very disappointed when I got this. My whole meal is ruined and my money wasted. I will not order from there again.There are many other pizza places to choose from. I should have gone with my first choice.

I Love Leona's Pizza and am so Happy that they are in the neighborhood! They have such an Amazing staff that is very friendly, courteous and great at their job! Always a treat to get my order from here!! Delicious!

Food and service were great. I loved the 5 cheese lasagna. The salads are always really fresh. I tried the poppy seed dressing and it was great. Definitely recommend!

Leona's makes us feel at home - whether in the restaurant or catering one of my events. Love the service, and extra touches. The food is always delicious and tastes home made. My clients, family, and friends all appreciate when I take them to Leona's. Thanks for making us feel at home with an amazing atmosphere and variety of dishes.

Happy 4th. We had a random day planned and didn't account for dinner. We stopped at Leona's on Irving without thinking it was 7pm on the 4th. They were closing but didn't want us to leave empty handed and gave us this incredible Sicilian style pizza. We tried to pay but they insisted we just enjoy the pizza and the 4th. We had been in a couple times for Italian Ice and gelato (amazing) and noted how friendly and engaged the staff was each time. This was just another example of their way of doing business. They have a big menu for takeout including pizza by the slice. Walk over for dessert or order dinner for the family. What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood

I just ordered from your store a 16-inch half cheese half pepperoni pizza waited 30 minutes and you gave me a pepperoni pizza. My wife and daughter are vegetarians. I've called 5 times no answer.

RIP Leona's. I was pleasantly surprised to see that a Leona's still existed, even if not an actual restaurant. I stopped in for a slice of pizza, and should have turned around and left as soon as I laid eyes on their selection. Very sad looking slices that looked like they had been sitting there all day. Nonetheless, I ordered a sausage slice. The dude who tried separating two slices with a spatula was fighting for his life, which told me how long it had been since they were sliced originally. 6 bucks for an absolutely flavorless slice of dried out cardboard. Leona's used to be legit, back in the day. It's sad to see how far they've fallen. Once again, RIP Leona's.

The service was horrible. Can't get a hold of anybody. Online menu is wrong. Orders get cancelled because online menu is not representative of what they actually make. They forgot the spaghetti and meatballs and can't get money back or get order fixed because nobody picks up the phone. Thieves. Avoid restaurant at all costs

I was so excited to get a psychedelic salad from Leona's! Until I got home and opened it. There was no celery stick, no hard boiled eggs. I asked for balsamic dressing and received teriyaki sauce.
