"Behind a 19C façade and within 18C walls, this contemporary hotel designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel has its own lounge-style restaurant adjoining the bar. The menu is in keeping with the culinary zeitgeist: for example, tuna sashimi, mango, avocado, with soy and sesame sauce, or sautéed calf’s sweetbreads, celery and lovage. For tables of friends, there are large dishes designed to share (whole seabass, rib steak etc). For those with a sweet tooth, there’s a choice of plated desserts or pretty pastries laid out in the display cabinet." - Michelin Inspector

Léonor (Strasbourg, Grand Est) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Right in the heart of Strasbourg, in a restored 18th-century landmark, designer Jean-Philippe Nuel has crafted the sort of luxury boutique hotel that instantly becomes a classic. The Léonor Hotel is as modern on the inside as it is neoclassical on the outside, filled with ultra-chic design furniture, carefully weighted colors, and vibrant contemporary artworks. The 116 rooms and suites are a touch more tranquil but no less inspired, and feature full-length windows with views of the city; the hotel’s versatile dining venue is a bar, patisserie, and restaurant all under one impeccably chic roof." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed five nights at the Leonor and were impressed by the friendly, attentive staff who go out of their way to make their guests welcome and comfortable. We were happy with our junior suite which looks out over a pretty courtyard, well used by guests in sunny weather. Breakfast was superb and we ate in the relaxed bar on several evenings, enjoying a mix of small plates. Patisserie is a speciality and unmissable. A hotel which manages to be chic, relaxed and welcoming while charging reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

LEONOR Hotel is a stunning, elegant hotel in a great location. My husband and I stayed for a few days in a Deluxe Room, which was small, but smartly appointed and well laid out. The bathroom had luxurious French shower gels and shampoo and conditioner which was a lovely bonus. We do not usually purchase hotel breakfasts and we did not do so here as there are so many affordable options nearby, but there was a Nespresso machine in the room which was perfect for a quick coffee in the morning. (Our room also had a kettle and teabags for those who prefer tea.) We also appreciated the air conditioning in the room as it was quite warm during our stay!||The LEONOR courtyard was a lovely place to relax with a coffee or wine and the staff at the bar/restaurant were kind and efficient. The location of the hotel is excellent - away from the main tourist areas, so it is a quiet, peaceful location, but still a quick walk to the attractions and the amazing restaurants and wine bars of Strasbourg. ||For those with mobility issues, it may be worth asking about the configuration of the room when booking. We do not have any issues, but our room was up a small set of stairs and our room contained a shower/tub which was quite high and could be difficult for some to step in/out of. ||Overall, Leonor is a beautiful hotel and we will stay again when we visit the area.

Amazing little hotel: great location in a quiet street within 5 mins walking distance from city centre, excellent rooms and service and an absolutely gorgeous courtyard. The people who work there also seem to enjoy it and you really notice it in how you’re treated ❤️ Beautiful interior design, atmosphere of calm, understated luxury - a very careful, thoughtful mix of old and new. The rooms are very good, beds super comfortable, the breakfast is excellent. But the courtyard is the star: it’s a quiet, intimate oasis with plants and parasols and lots of comfy chairs. If I could make a suggestion, the only things would be to add even more plants in the courtyard, to reconsider the floor lights there (they are too bright and their temperature is too cool - they hurt your eyes a bit when sitting in the courtyard in the evening) and to play quality jazz music rather than generic lounge - it would fit so much better with the atmosphere. The lobby and bar also have a relaxed, laid back vibe and comfy seating, I can imagine it’s super cozy on a rainy day. It was super convenient to be able to park in the hotel parking (it’s outdoor and round the back of the hotel) as most hotels in the center don’t have parking. Super happy with our stay!

I stayed here for a business trip and chose it for the strategic location — and it definitely delivers on that. The lobby and restaurant areas are elegant and inviting. Rooms are average in size with open hangers instead of a closet, which may not suit those who prefer a tidy look. Bathroom amenities are very basic — just shampoo, body wash, and hand soap — so bring your own extras. There’s no gym or spa, which is a downside for business travelers with limited time. Also, rooms don’t have ironing boards unless requested in advance. Overall, a great pick for location and atmosphere, but keep expectations modest when it comes to in-room amenities and facilities.

This is a very popular 4 star hotel in Strasbourg that is well located in town. It's walking distance to most key attractions and shopping in town. The best part of this hotel is actually a lovely courtyard right in the centre. You can eat, drink and relax here from morning to night. It is super crowded in the evening with folks enjoying their drinks. One part is smoking and another part is non smoking which is great. Breakfast is also very good with a wide assortment. The room is the only thing that is a slight let down. While it is large (we had one at the ground floor), it is not well equipped. For example, there was no iron and board. There was also no wardrobe but only a hanging rack. But bed was comfortable which is good. Overall service was good as well and they all speak good English.

Perfect location for exploring everything Strasbourg has to offer. The interior patio is the perfect place to hang out and take a break. The buffet breakfast is superb with lots of options. We were traveling with our two Australian Shepherds and the hotel was so welcoming - very pet friendly!

My wife and I both loved this hotel. One of the best we have ever stayed at. About five years old. Extraordinarily clean. Rooms are good sized, comfortable and quiet. Located in a very safe neighborhood. A short walk from the cathedral. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was extremely helpful and professional. Will definitely stay here again.

Great bed, not too soft, not too hard. Had a window looking out into the courtyard so there would be music playing periodically and you could barely hear it when going to sleep. They supply shampoo and body wash in the shower, no conditioner. The Vanity had soap to wash your hands. There were no small cloths provided, to use for your face or in the shower. Just 4 towels total, 2 large and 2 medium. This was in their standard classic room. Would have appreciated more storage, shelves, etc. More hooks would also have been appreciated. Mostly there are places to put down things but not hang up items. Just hangers for clothes and even then there were only 6. I realize you can call and ask for most of these things, but by default it seems so simple to just supply it anyway. My complaints are not for staff but for the Architect and Management. The Staff were perfect. There is no parking garage.
