How Two Brothers Make Pre-Prohibition-Style Whiskey in Colorado | Eater

"Using a rare three-chamber still—a pre-Prohibition method custom-built for the distillery eight years ago—this Denver producer makes a distinctive three-chamber rye that founder Todd Leopold calls “a true unicorn.” Whereas a modern continuous still can produce roughly 200 barrels a day, the three-chamber still yields only about two, but its batch process pulls oils and aromas from the rye mash that continuous equipment cannot, producing pronounced floral notes such as lavender and rose and other complex aromatics. The whiskey is aged eight to 15 years (with the team aiming for a 10–15-year target), and seasonal temperature changes plus sugars drawn from the barrel wood further shape a flavor profile that the distillers say sets it apart from contemporary rye whiskeys." - Avery Dalal

Google
What an awesome discovery. Only open on Saturdays, but you can't beat a $5 for 5 tastings and $10 cocktails. I personally loved the blackberry and apple whisky flavor. Super friendly staff. Can't wait to ride our bikes here again next week.

Google
An amazing tour and tasting experience worth a couple hours of your Saturday. We showed up at 11, didn't have a rez for a tour but Jeremy was happy to squeeze us into his 11:30 group. $20 and you definitely get your money's worth with the opportunity to taste 12+ different spirits - to include gin, liqueurs, bourbons, and rye whiskeys. Plus after the tour is done you have the chance to taste anything else they have on their tasting list. We snagged a few bottles to take home too. If you're in Denver and appreciate handcrafted spirits definitely give Leopold Brothers a try.

Google
What a great gathering spot! Enjoy some good food, great distilled spirits for every palate, and an estate-styled distillery atmosphere that warms the heart. We will definitely be returning back regularly with friends.

Leopold Bros. Distillery is a true gem in Denver and an absolute must visit for anyone who appreciates craftsmanship, flavor, and history. From the moment you arrive, the care and passion that goes into every aspect of this family run business is evident. The building itself is warm and welcoming, blending a sense of tradition with modern touches that set the stage for an unforgettable experience. The highlight of my visit was the distillery tour, which was one of the most engaging and educational tours I have ever taken. Our guide walked us through each step of the process with clarity and enthusiasm, showing off the equipment, explaining the philosophy behind their approach, and sharing stories that made the experience come alive. You can tell immediately that Leopold Bros. takes immense pride in doing things the right way, not the easy way. From their unique three column still system to their careful attention to ingredients, everything is designed to create spirits that are not just good, but truly exceptional. The tasting that followed the tour was nothing short of fantastic. We sampled twelve different spirits, each one distinct, balanced, and memorable. It was the perfect way to showcase the wide range of what Leopold Bros. has to offer, from classic whiskies and gins to fruit liqueurs that taste fresh and vibrant. Every pour revealed the artistry and patience behind the bottle. Two spirits stood out as personal favorites. The Three Column Still Rye was bold yet refined, with layers of spice and depth that lingered beautifully. The Three Column Still Peach Liqueur was equally impressive, capturing the essence of ripe peaches in a way that was both natural and elegant without ever feeling overly sweet. Together they represent the best of what Leopold Bros. can do, pairing technical mastery with a genuine respect for flavor. What makes the entire experience even more special is the atmosphere created by the staff. Everyone we met was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their work. That sense of pride and hospitality makes visitors feel not just like customers, but like guests invited into something meaningful. Leopold Bros. is not just a distillery. It is a place where tradition, innovation, and artistry come together to create something unforgettable. Whether you are a seasoned whiskey drinker, a curious newcomer, or someone who simply enjoys learning about how things are made, this distillery will leave a lasting impression. It is one of the best experiences Denver has to offer, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great tour!! Great tasting great whiskey. Would highly recommend visiting. I am from Michigan as well so seeing all the Michigan cherry drinks made me very happy!

Google
Best way to spend an afternoon in Denver. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff will walk you through ideas to put together an awesome tasting menu of spirits. Over 20 things to try, ranging from vodka, gin, whiskey to cordials. I am generally skeptical of sweet stuff, but these are made from top quality fruit, not sugar and flavoring. Great cocktail menu and bottles to go. A winner all around.

Google
We did the tour on Saturday with Geremy and had an absolutely wonderful time. He is friendly, fun and you learn A LOT! The spirits here are delicious and you can tell they put a lot of love into their products and the process. We will be back!

Google
We had a tour with 18 persons and it was amazing! I highly recommend touring the distillery - even if you are not a Vodka drinker. It is so interesting. Our tour guide was personable, fun, and she knew her "stuff!" Not only did we learn so much about the history of the company, and the distilling process, but we were allowed to enjoy a number of samples of various products. I highly recommend this tour! Consider having a designated driver - or rent a limo bus like we did! It was amazing! #BlackCherryLiquor #OMGoodness

Yelp
Tasting room is open on Saturdays. Great experience. The place is definitely a hidden gem in kinda an industrial area off I-70 on the way to the airport. Really nice indoor tasting room with a beautifully landscaped outdoor garden area that makes you feel like you are up in the mountains -- don't be deterred by the location; there is plenty of parking as well. The mixologists are really kind, knowledgeable, and go out of their way to make the type of cocktail you want. For example, they opened up a cocktail manual to optimize a Vesper martini using a blend of their house-made spirits. Their products are diverse in style, and all are of high quality. Tasting value is wild at $10 per bespoke cocktail, and the Leopold sampler of 5x 0.25oz pours for $5 is extraordinarily generous particularly given the quality and also the interesting unique liquers and amaros they make. You should 100% plan to come here before your Saturday flight, and also any Saturday afternoon you are looking to have a drink in Denver.

Yelp
Hidden gem with $5 for 5 liquor tastings which gives you $5 off a bottle. I could just end the review right there.... But wait, there's more. Location is hidden in an industrial park but has an adorable lush garden as you walk up and the building is gorgeous. Cocktails are $10?! The fruit whiskeys are to die for - so sweet yet 80 proof? Yes, I will take that - to the face.

Yelp
been in Denver for a week and wanted to hit this whiskey place/distillery...It's only open on Saturdays but that will be changing according to Alex who serves behind the bar. They're known for their MD style rye whiskey and have a few flagship products available. The $20 tour is over an hour and a half so you get a lot of information and a lot of pours ! great value. MD five year aged small batch however, only a few barrels because it such a small shop so basically a single barrel ..,,little higher priced whiskey but the corn mash bill speaks to the mellowness Jeremy and Alex were great hosts .., nicer area. If you bring small kids in the tasting room is quite large it's in the middle of an industrial park but once you get behind the gates, it's a very attractive place. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere so you'll have to drive a bit if you want to hit some local restaurants in Central Park afterwards. I think you'll enjoy your visit !

Yelp
My son celebrated his birthday here with friends and family, and what a great way to celebrate! The staff are so knowledgeable and also passionate about what they make. We took a tour, and the educator in me, not to mention the gin lover, learned sooo much! I 10/10 recommend the tour and of course tasting one of everything (as long as you aren't driving). My husband, also a gin lover, may have a new love, the Rye. While we couldn't afford the $250 bottle, the way it is made was fascinating, so make sure you ask about it even if you don't get a tour. The drinks were well balanced and delicious as well as having interesting flavor combinations. I personally enjoyed the jalapeno drink the best, even though it was Vodka not gin, but can I really say I like one better than the other? The space is adorable and there are tables both inside and out. We will definitely be going back and only wish they were open more often!

Yelp
The tour was fantastic! Such great knowledge and history of Leopold! We enjoyed the tour very much. Such unique features in the building and part of their distilling process! Great experience. The whiskey is my favorite and we bought a few bottles! The outdoor seating area is perfect and all the buildings are really cool! Would highly recommend!

Yelp
Y'all need to go see Jeremy! He does a fantastic tour! And go early/stay late for more tastings at the beautiful tasting room. All the guys there are knowledgeable about the products and are very helpful and friendly. Great experience!

Yelp
This place is about 5 minutes from my home and I had no idea it existed until about a month ago. What a treasure! Our tour guide Geremy was awesome. He's so knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining! We learned about their unique processes and tasted 9 different products, all made in site. the facility is beautiful. The bourbon is so good. The gin might be the best gin I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and try more of their seasonal batches.

Yelp
Great place to hangout in the afternoon Outdoor space very pretty. Apparently landscaped by the father of the Leopold brothers. Also apparently helps with natural fermentation of the mash as it's right outside fermentation room The cocktails are well mixed. Not overly alcoholic and well balanced We did the tour and got to see and taste a plethora of distilled spirits. My favorite were the Maryland style rye and the bourbon Would be nice to just come for the drinks
google avatar

Christina D.

Yelp
The cocktail was refreshing, but the staff were not very friendly or engaging at the counter. I understand that the place is busy, but a bit of courtesy and basic engagement would help. We would have bought a bottle of whiskey or liquor, but no one even greeted us when we were looking at the offering list. A simple "How's it going?" would have been nice. I also wish the tasting room had some sort of sound buffering as the echo is intense when there are 15 people in there.
google avatar

Annette M.

Yelp
Our group of 6 had so much fun on this tour and tasting event. $20 per person and you get $10 off a bottle. This would be an excellent idea for birthdays, team building, or when you are hosting out of town guests. Why had we not done this sooner? Very informative and a great way to learn about and sample spirits that you may have not enjoyed before. We left with a bottle of the Summer Gin and the Peach Whisky and plans to come back for a future cocktail class, Cheers!

Yelp
Tried two of the flights: one with the vodka and whiskey and the other with liqueurs. The whiskey and liqueurs were delish and bought 5 bottles . So, essentially, highly recommend.

Yelp
Leopold Brothers is one of my favorite distilleries, and I've been to quite a few. I'm not sure what I like best about them: their tasting room, their staff, or their spirits! The tasting room is awesome, and has many gifts and bottles to buy. When I went, it was very crowded, and I had to squeeze my way up to the bar. However, once we flagged someone down, the tasting experience was excellent, and they were not stingy with how much you could try. While I liked their whiskies and other spirits, my favorites were absolutely the full-strength flavored whiskies. The woman serving us recommended the Michigan Cherry, and it was so good that I used 2 of my samples to taste it. I took that as a sign to buy a bottle, even though we only had 2 more days in Denver. Luckily, it was not a problem to polish the bottle off; this wasn't because we have a drinking problem, it's because every family member and friend we let try a sip wanted seconds! There's truly something for everyone here, and the prices are very reasonable. I don't recall specifics on tastings, but I know that we paid 5 or 7 dollars for 5 or 7 tastings (sorry for the ambiguity), but when we wanted to try another one or two, they had no problem offering us tastings beyond the set amount we paid for. When we bought the bottle, they put one of the tastings toward the price of the bottle. They also do tours, which I am very interested in taking since they also include tastings and a tasting glass, but we didn't show up at the right time. You can book the tours online and they're $20. Finally, the area outside Leopold is very beautiful, and it would be great to visit in the warm weather to hang out on the patio.
google avatar

Yelp
This was, hands down, one of the best distillery tours I have ever done. At first, the price seems a bit steep ($20), until you realize what you get for it. You get: 1. An hour and a half long tour 2. A Q&A session after your tour with a distiller 3. A bunch of samples during the tour (I think I counted 8 samples, but after awhile, I lost count, ha ha, oops) 4. A tasting glass 5. $10 off 2 bottles of booze I enjoy their spirits, although they do some fruity ones that are not my taste. But that's just personal preference. I really dig their gins, and they have an aperitivo that makes a great Negroni. The location is beautiful, with a lovely garden which would be fantastic in the summer. I like their commitment to sustainability and using environmentally-friendly distilling practices. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and cheerful. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes spirits and cocktails. It's a very fun place to take out-of-town guests.

Yelp
I am the owner/manager of Hugo's Colorado Beer & Spirits. I have always been a fan of Leopold's product, even before I got into the booze business. All of their products are so carefully tested and tasted. I have never been disappointed in their product. When all of this B.S. is over, I want Leopold to be the first in-house tasting that we do. It would be an award for my shop, my employees, and all of the neighborhood customers that have earned great kudos for their patience, loyalty and support. No pressure. Leopold's delivered gallons of hand sanitizer for my staff this week. No cost, no questions asked, no sales pitch...."Here you go!" This is the kind of company I want Hugo's to be permanently associated with. High quality product, great price, caring for the community, putting others before self. Disregarding the gift, Leopold's has the most consistently solid line of product. If you haven't tried their cherry whisky, you are missing out. Thank you from all of us at Hugo's, and Tobin.

Yelp
For someone that doesn't drink a significant amount of spirits, I sure have experienced my fair share of distillery tours. Add Leopold Brothers to the list, along with Stranahans (twice), Laws, Anchor, Distillery 209, and Lost Spirits. Leopold Brothers exceeded my expectations! Going in with a bit of a hangover didn't even matter, that's how good the tour was. Highlight reel in words: + Beautiful site to visit, even in the winter. It's in an industrial park, but there's nothing industrial about the tasting room. Also, there's pretty gardens in the warmer months, which they grow to use in their products. + Informative tour, whether you're a novice to the distilling process or have seen this before. The Leopold way of open fermentation was new to me, as were the different kind of stills (three chamber what?!) and adding fruit to whiskey. + So many tastings! With the aforesaid hangover, I didn't really go for gold, sniffing and dumping mostly instead of swallowing, but the products I tried were all interesting: vodka (really, really clean), Cherry liqueur, bourbon, and Three Pine Alpine were some of the highlights. + A portion of the tour fee goes back to local charities. The 90-minutes flew by with our guide Matt. He'd been part of the company for less than a year, but it felt like he'd been a friend with the real brothers and team for much longer. Whether you're a Denver local or entertaining out of town guests, this is a fun foray into Colorado spirits.

Yelp
My wife and I attended a cocktail making class for Valentine's Day. An excellent espresso martini and charcuterie table greeted us and about twenty other cocktail enthusiasts l. A short tour of the distillery followed, then it was time to learn to make some cocktails. All tools, gadgets and potions are provided, which I liked. We made two different cocktails, and enjoyed them both. The staff was friendly and attentive, and kept things moving. Each month's class has a different theme. We will be returning for sure!

Yelp
This tour is excellent. It is informative and the staff make everyone feel right at home. I was impressed with the organization and thought that goes into their operation and the company focus on environmental impacts and sustainability. I was even more impressed by the products we sampled. Their apertivos, amaros, and fruit liqueurs are very good, but my favorite was the outstanding straight bourbon and took home a bottle along with their apertivo for Negronis, and a blackberry liqueur that mixed with prosecco over ice is a real treat. They also make an absinthe that matches any other I've tasted. This is a first rate operation and a tour not to be missed. They just received a National nomination from the James Beard Foundation for the quality of their liquors and it is richly deserved! I'm looking forward to their three chamber rye whiskey due to be released in a couple of years. In the meantime, Leopold Brothers has a firm place in my liquor cabinet.
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
This is a distillery tour you do not want to miss! We've been on numerous distillery tours and this was the absolute best! We almost didn't book it, as we were initially put off by the number of liquors they make. But after reading all of the reviews and the history of the company, we decided to give it a shot. And they did not disappoint! Everything we tried was amazing - so much so that we flew home with 4 bottles (American Small Batch Whiskey + Rocky Mountain Blackberry Whiskey + Absinthe + Three Pins)! Use your discount at the end of the tour or you will regret it! So glad that our local Binny's in Illinois carries Leopold Bros, as we have already bought their Silver Tree American Small Batch Vodka since being home! BTW - Jeremy is a fabulous tour guide! He works on Saturdays, so try and book your tour with him!

Yelp
Amazing distillery, awesome selection of Whiskey, Spirits and flavored Liquors. We had a private tour with 18 people. Got to sample 13 along the way, and more at the end. Of course couldn't go home empty handed!!! We even got to meet Todd Leopold. Thanks for everything, and we'll be back soon-

Yelp
Great service with knowledgeable staff. Made us feel welcome walking in the door. Only disappointment is they are out of Summer Gin! Worth a visit

Yelp
What an absolutely wonderful distillery. Have worked in this area going on five years and had no idea this beautiful facility existed. Once you walkthrough the gate it feels like you're deep in the country. It is decorated perfectly and the courtyard is a place I see myself enjoying many a drink in the future. We did the tour for $20. Well worth it if you're interested in the chemistry and science behind the booze you drink. A load of samples were tasted before during and after the tour. I almost want to keep this place a secret, but they deserve all the success in the world. Will definitely be back and this will become a "go to" spot for people who are visiting from out of town.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow, we really enjoyed the tour of this distillery! There was plenty to learn and most importantly taste. =) We were very fortunate to meet one of the owners on our visit. Todd was friendly and extremely knowledgeable - we really enjoyed his company.

Yelp
Fun spot! This place is hidden within corporate and industrial buildings and I would have never found this place if I didn't find it in the 5280 magazine. I live 2 miles from it and had no clue it was near me!! The place has a large in door area to hang out and while you drink your whiskey or gin. They do also have a couple outdoor tables as well. We did the tasting which was super cheap and had a lot of variety of gins and whiskeys to choose from. Most of the gins and whiskies were good except for the fruity ones. For me they almost tasted like cough syrup. The employees are very nice and accommodating. Definitely check this spot out if you have a chance!!

Yelp
This was by far the best tour I have gone on. It was a special occasion as one of the brothers gave us the tour to train others on it. It was awesome and everything they do is healthy, amazingly good and most made in colorado! We returned again for one of their craft cocktail classes and it was yet another fun trip! Can't wait for their next...anything!!!

Garry M.

Yelp
I had high expectations after reading some reviews of the Leopold Bros. tour but I was not disappointed. Addison, our tour guide, was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable regarding the distilling process. Plus the samples were a nice touch. They do need more merchandise.
google avatar

Yelp
When my wife suggested we go on the Leopold Bros. tour I was a little skeptical. Mainly because there was a $15 fee and they claimed it was "3 hours". We went this past Sunday and it was well worth the $15 and drive up from The Springs. Alec is not only hilarious, a great host, but also knows his stuff about distilling and mixing a cocktail. Over the course of 3 hours, we got to hear about the company's family oriented history, and see all of the distilling processes. Alec kept things flowing and "light" throughout the tour even at points that were rather heady. Definitely a highlight = 15 samples ranging from gin to whiskey to vodka and absynth.

Yelp
Lovely Gin (and I never enjoyed gin previously) Delicious Whiskey Bountiful, pure Liquors I know about Leopold Bros. from my old town of Ann Arbor, MI where they used to have a brewery and distillery. I learned about the art of brewing unfiltered beer and how to love it through these guys who are originally from Colorado. They are environmentally aware and responsible (make liquors from fresh fruit local to the best regions to grow them). When I was in Denver, I contacted my old friends to arrange a visit. Such friendly people, such lovely flavors. I wish they had a distributor in New York... I ended up going to local stores in Denver and brought home 3 bottles of their Whiskey (one for me, 2 for friends) and a bottle of Gin. Until they are in NYC, I am savoring...
google avatar

Christopher R.

Yelp
I'm still sad the Brothers abandoned me just when I needed them most (grad school in Ann Arbor), but it's hard to blame them. Colorado is way more beautiful. (Yeah, I said it, Michganders...) The gin is amazing and gives you just what you hope: a new lease on life, enhanced dancing ability, and numbness to politics and two year olds. The tasting room is great and the wide variety of choices is really fun. We will definitely return for a tasting next time we're in the area.
google avatar

Jason H.

Yelp
A true distillery tasting room. Fantastic spirits, atmosphere, and service. Tasting room exclusives which you can't buy anywhere else. The Straight Bourbon is a must buy at $45.

Yelp
Awesome place to go! Beautiful tasting room and grounds. Took a tour...learned a lot. The employees were great. The samples of liquor were very generous. Cute little glasses to use as your sampling sipper..... you even get to take it home with you!

Yelp
Most amazing tour we've taken. The tastings were delicious! The amount of knowledge we got from the tour was awesome. Everyone was really nice.

Yelp
I came here this weekend for a tasting tour with my parents and husband and it was AMAZING. I've been on a tour at Stranahan's--which is straight whiskey with one tasting at the end. This tour at Leopold Brothers with our lovely and rambunctious tour guide Kristen was much more extensive, informative and delicious! We walked through the whole process of how each different type of spirit is made, from creating the yeast, the malting floor and open fermentation in barrels with wild yeasts grown in the garden just outside, to the types of distilling equipment they use...I was blown away. The inner nerd in me loved hearing all the details about how everything is made, and to top it all off, sustainability seems extremely important to them! I think we tasted about 15-20 different spirits that they make in-house. For a small distillery with a small staff, that's pretty impressive. Vodka, two types of gin, scotch, apple and blackberry whiskey, apertivo, 5 different flavored liquors and absinthe to name a few. I was decently buzzed and my husband and I took home three bottles for ourselves. Did I mention the price?? They keep their bottle prices low, starting at $33 and a little higher for rare batches of spirits they don't do often. That's a damn steal. I don't remember the last time I bought a good bottle of whiskey for less than $80. Next time I'm in Colorado I'm stocking up a few more bottles of their Apple Whiskey which is straight up delicious--sh*t's like candy.

Yelp
This place is a distilling wonderland! Enjoyed a private tour with co workers led by Randy who is a wealth of knowledge about the company history as well as the spirits. I love Leopold's already, but there was so much I didn't know and really cool to see. Great afternoon geekin out over distilling and got to taste all they have to offer. Navy Strength Gin..wow!! If you enjoy the behind the scenes this is a must see!
google avatar

Yelp
This distillery is awesome! The staff is so knowledgeable and Informative. The atmosphere is incredible with a rustic barn feel. Would definitely recommend going for a tour!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing. It's a bit out of the way and in an industrial area but absolutely worth the trip. (Plus, it means fewer people and easier parking which is a gigantic plus.) While most distilleries have base spirits and cocktails, Leopold Brothers has all of that plus flavored whiskeys, liqueurs, a delicious apertivo and more. They're basically the Willy Wonka of booze. Alex and Michelle are both super friendly and very knowledgeable about their selection. They're serious about what they do and you can taste it in every sip. Give it a try!

Yelp
Awesome brothers own this place - mom keeps the books and dad manages the gardens. Great customer service, fantastic buildings and delicious drinks! Highly recommend a visit.

Yelp
Best distillery tour I've been on. My husband is a big whiskey fan so we have been to stranahans as well as a couple of distilleries in Kentucky. This tour was by far the most informative. What I loved about it was the history they give...farmers used to use everything, so if they had leftover fruit why not ferment it? Barrel aging... used to be a convenient container for shipping, but interestingly enough they learned it also affected the flavor. These little details are what is missing in the other tours... anyone can tell you how the distilling process works, but learning these little nuggets made the tour original. Also... be prepared to taste A LOT of spirits. They're not stingy. Oh and they donate half of the tour cost to charity.. how cool is that? Highly recommend taking a tour here!

Yelp
Had a GREAT time touring the distillery. Our tour guide Michele was awesome and very informative. We'll definitely come back during the summertime to take another tour-I'd love to see their garden in full bloom.

Yelp
nobody does it better. NOBODY. todd and scott work so hard and it shows. the care and effort they put into their craft is summarized in the bottle. great people. beautiful facility. real artisans. i left with bottles, merchandise, and more educated on the distilling process.

Yelp
This place is the real deal. They're making old world spirits in a modern time. You don't have to worry about there being any toxic junk, dyes, etc when you buy their products which is a pretty serious differentiator. After trying almost their entire line of spirits and seeing what they're all about, I plan on buying their product over almost anything else that is on the shelves. If you're a true foodie, cocktail nerd, or you just want to be, then this place is for you. Alec's tour is really fun and full of information. My boyfriend and I plan on going to one of their cocktail mixing classes this fall and I CAN'T WAIT!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here on a layover. The tour cost $20 and we were able to taste about 20+ spirits and liquors. I absolutely love how eco conscious they are, without sacrificing artistry and craft. My boyfriend and I walked out that day with 5 different bottles. Today, a week later, we came back and bought 4 other products of theirs that we didn't try the first time. The summer gin is one of our favorites. Please go check them out and support small batch spirits.

Yelp
We've been taking in a few distilleries and breweries in our travels and this was the best tour we've done. It's been several months since we were here and I finally have some time now due to the stay at home predicament we're all in so wanted to share this great place. If I remember right, you get 8 samplings during the tour and then can get small samples after the tour. I couldn't believe how much I drank and didn't get a headache. This stuff is good quality! It was hard to decide what to take home with us as we liked everything but could only safely pack four bottles. Ended up with two bottles of bourbon, tart cherry liqueur, and whiskey. We've been savoring and enjoying them for the past few months wondering how we're going to get more when we run out. And out tour guide was fantastic! Informative and fun! Take this tour. It's a great experience!

Yelp
I went through the Connoisseur Tour last Saturday and I cannot recommend the experience enough! Alec was awesome and had tons of good information to share about the history of Leopold Brothers, the distilling process and equipment, and Star Wars. The team at Leopold Brothers is really putting in the effort to sustainably create great products and they're having fun doing it.

Yelp
My nephew, daughter and I went to Leopold Brothers as an early birthday present for my daughter. We all had a great time! The tour was great. The facility was spotless. Cassie, our tour guide, was informative and very pleasurable. It was a great interactive tour. It was nice to taste the different varieties. I was pleasantly surprised at several items! And getting the $10 off of 2 bottles each was nice. Of course, we bought more than 2 each... Two of us live in Lakewood, and the other lives in Miliken, so it was quite a distance for us, but I'd definitely do it again!

Yelp
Went in for a night with Alec to be educated on the fine art of the Old Fashioned. I learned three things: 1. Ice nerds do exist. For good reason 2. Drink it faster 3. Alec is a fine cocktail craftsman with the right touch of energy for the crowd. This was one of my more enjoyable experiences at a distillery. I know, right? We'll be looking into other offerings Leopold Brothers has in the coming months.

Yelp
What a wonderful way to spend a weekend afternoon! Alec, the guide, was super knowledgeable and I learned so much about the distilling process and the history of Leopold Bros. The tour was about 2hrs on your feet in the actual distillery followed by 1 hour of a seated grand tasting of about 15 spirits in the tasting room. If you can, sit down at the end for the tasting where Alec is so you can hear him. About half way through the tasting, the far end of the table starts their own conversations and its hard to hear the story of each spirit being sampled. The distillery was a bit chilly (we went in winter) but nothing a sweater couldn't handle. And wear comfy shoes, as I said you are on your feet for 2 hours. Overall, an entertaining, informative and downright fun tour! One of the best and Alec is just a delight to listen to.

Yelp
I once tried a whiskey that tasted like Christmas...it was amazing. Went as a group and took the tour on how the spirits are made.
