Leo's Coney Island

I’m not sure if this is the correct location but OMG great service and food! Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. My first time in Detroit and in Leos Coney Island. For sure I will be back soon!! (Location was about 15 from DTW Airport)

Love a good Coney Island and this one did not disappoint. On Wayne state campus so it is spacious and clean. My go to is a chicken finger pita and French fries which was delicious.

Great on-campus Coney Island. Have eaten here several times, and its always good, fast, and friendly.

For a coney island this was definitely the best I've had. Everything was fresh and fast. Coffee was great. It's a seat yourself place but just make sure you pay attention to the tables (this is being written as Covid is raging) to make sure you are sitting at the right one). Menu opens up as a pdf on your phone so just pay attention after you click the link in the qr code. Great selection with way more variety than other nearby coneys/diners. Will definitely be competitive once things get back to normalish.

For starters, I have gone here on 3 different occasions and each time, I had ordered different items to eat. All three times, the food was NOT GOOD; not cooked all the way, warm at best, how it was presented was not like other Leo's and takes forever to get your food. I have eaten at many other Leo's in the metro Detroit area, and by far this location is one of the WORST. I highly recommend not eating here. I rate this Leo's 0 out of 5 stars!!! ***I had to click 1 star otherwise it would not let me post!!! Still 0 out of 5 regardless

THIS FOOD IS DISGUSTING!!! visit one, my meal was wrong, I got a stare down from the cook in back for sending it back. Visit 2! I Keep it simple and order medium eggs and hash browns. I got basically raw eggs and salted burned hashrowns. The potatoes were mushy! And salty! The pancake batter, was clearly made the night before as they were dense and flat and taste like baking soda. Please don't eat here.the server was very nice, the cook is just horrible.

I had a rough day at work and decided to try this restaurant. Boy am I glad I did! I've tried a couple different Leo Coney Island restaurants and though the food was good the price was higher than I expected. This was the complete opposite. I ordered two Leo cheese burgers and fries for each burger for just $20. I will definitely return as the menu has great variety. I highly recommend this restaurant. The customer service was excellent and the prices are affordable. Thank you Wayne State for bringing a great restaurant to campus.

Amazing Chili Dogs. Fresh bun, great Chili with a tender, juicy Hot Dog. This was a delicious bite. Leo's offers fast and efficient service, great prices and a nice selection of Hot Dogs. Enjoy! This is a Must Try Restaurant. A.W.

We had a great lunch at Leo's Coney Island. The ambiance is typical Coney Island, the service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious and abundant. I had the egg salad pita, which was a full pita cut in half with copious amounts of egg salad. It was delicious!

Large menu and reasonable prices. I got the super club with fries. The sandwich was good but the fries were really good.

Coney buns are not steamed; just very dry white bread buns. Chicago dog is not a good choice. A few diced tomato pieces, not slices/wedges. The substitute jalapeños for Sport peppers.

Leo's was very busy because it was move-in day at Wayne State. The service was excellent considering the number of people in the restaurant. All our food came as expected and arrived in great time considering how busy they were. The wait staff were very professional and courteous. We had the Michigan Salad, which tasted great and was more than sufficient quantity. We also had the Cinnamon Swirl Egg Sandwich which was delicious. Will definitely go back when visiting our Wayne State student.

Ordered a carry out and they forgot my ranch. The best part. The f**king ranch! Why, why have you forsaken me, Leo? What ails you and pushed you to release such anguish upon me!

This place is literal garbage on a plate. I only rate it 1 star because I can't go any lower. Please do yourself a favor, hop on the freeway, drive down the road a couple minutes and get yourself anything else. Thank me later.

I want to puke!! After 2 bites of my soup i scoop out a bug. What the hell? I attached a photo. I even rinsed it off to make sure it wasn't a pepper or something. SO DISGUTING!!! This is my favorite soup and i'm pretty sure todays cup just ruined it for me forever Chicken Lemon Bug soup. Update: the bug was a BED BUG. So disgusting.

Ordered again today, order was messed up I ordered an antipasto salad, and wrote NO HAM PLEASE in the special instructions. There was ham all over it. also ordered honey mustard as the dressing, and I got Ranch. Not happy today Leo.

This Leo's is awesome!! Quick, affordable, delicious, and good staff. I had a dog, fries and a cup of soup for less than $10. Can't beat it! I'll be back - so glad they're here!

The food tasted fine, pretty much what you'd expect from a chain. Coffee had a crunch so if you're into chewing on grounds then this is the perfect drink order for you. All this was tolerable and to be expected, certainly not a deal breaker for me. What did turn me off to going back to this place was the poor costumer service. Our waitress ticketed our food incorrectly which increased the price. Easy mistake to fix so I mentioned it at the register and the woman cashing me out was very displeased and rude towards me. She charged me extra for the toast I didn't even want but the waitress insisted came with the meal but hardly ate because it was burnt. Nothing makes a restaurant more unappealing to me than treating your customers poorly, especially when addressing a mistake you made.

I'm so glad they are here. Leos had always had great food at good prices. Nice to have a breakfast restaurant on campus!

This is one of the best Leo's I've been to. The food is consistently delicious, and priced well and the restaurant is very clean. This has become one of our go-to spots for lunch...we order from here at two or three times a week. The staff is very nice and pleasant also. We are hopeful with the challenges of COVID and what Wayne State is dealing with currently that this place can remain open. In the meantime, check them out. You won't be disappointed!
