"The largest of the Big Three coney chains, Leo’s is another spot founded on brotherly love. Leo’s founders Leo and Pete Stassinopoulos opened their first location in 1972, known as Southfield Coney Island, according to the book Detroit Coney. In 1988 after launching a few other locations, the business was rebranded as Leo’s. The brothers are also related to the Keros family; Bill and Gust are their uncles. Leo’s menu carries traditional coneys, New York and Chicago-style dogs, robust breakfast offerings, and several Greek specialties like a chicken kebab dinner, spinach and cheese pie, and mousaka." - Serena Maria Daniels

So wife and I ordered food on Uber Eats from this location. I got two patty melts and wife got two philly cheesesteaks with a lemon creme pie. Wife's food showed up awful. There was no cheese on the cheesesteaks, and the pie was just a lump of crumbs and creme. This place used to do their food right but this order was just awful and Uber is protecting them by saying they can't help us get a refund or credit for this poor experience. I say do not order from them unless you'll be sitting in their location, do not do takeout or delivery. As I said, Uber Eats protected this restaurant from having to deal with sending out a horrible order. Do not get delivery. Just don't.

The staff was rude!!! Messed up my food.. like no meat messed up!! And hung up when I attempted to fix it!! would not answer the phone being a 24 hours spot... to me this is a no go!!! I'd never go back!! Food is as good as its staff!! GET IT TOGETHER!!

This place is horrible and so it the food. I ordered a togo order of lemon rice soup and what I got looked nothing like soup. What I got was some sort of mess that was oily and had a horrible smell. When I went back to get a refund, which I never got, the place was a mess. All of the tables were filthy. I wanted to sit down to wait for a manager so I asked for a towel to clean off a table. The rag was cold and dirty. There was hair on the tables. The cook in the back was eating while making orders and the servers were unsanitary with handling food. Although the workers were friendly the establishment was a mess. This place should be shut down. Oakland County Health Department, please help!

We stood in the walkway for a good 5 minutes before WE ASKED one of the waitresses if we needed to seat ourselves. OUR waitress was GREAT as well as Diona, however, there was one waitress in particular (blonde) who kept telling the cooks to “STFU”, loudly lol. The cooks were LITERALLY FIGHTING in the kitchen, manager present and all - and didn’t do a thing. The waitress even said “he doesn’t care 🤷🏻‍♀️”. We had to wait until the cooks were done fighting to have our food made - which was about 20 minutes after we had ordered.. so now we’re waiting 45 minutes to eat mediocre food (at best) in a lousy atmosphere. A table had to walk out because nobody greeted them or came to take their order. DoorDash and Carry-Out were their first priority. The food was TERRIBLE, pita was hard, fries were dried out or old as dirt, my son never received his food after an hour wait (tuna melt), and then when explaining this to the MANAGER, he looks at me like I’m stupid and says, “well idk what to tell you - you gotta pay for what you ate”. 🤯 sir, I’m trying to tell you this FOOD is INEDIBLE!! Good thing we took a bite and that’s it….this was unreal… and I previously have worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years… I used to come here frequently, but over the years it’s truly diminished in quality. It’s not a pleasant experience at all, and in my opinion not worth the time or money. This restaurant is a complete JOKE, and probably the laughing stock of Royal Oak. Hopefully, they’ll see this review and think about making a change, but I doubt it 🤷🏻‍♀️ even their staff wants better management!!!!! WAKE UP!

I used to live in Michigan and I’ve moved out of state. Leo’s Coney Island used to be good. I went into the Royal Oak location, and I first of all cannot believe that I even ate there the place was so disgustingly dirty. The tables were sticky. The floors were black with dirt. Don’t even get me started in the restrooms. I pray to God I don’t get sick after eating there. I highly recommend you do not go to this location

I ordered a carryout of 2 Mediterranean wraps with no tomatoes. Neither came with Taziki sauce and both had tomatoes. The tomatoes are so small, there’s no way to pick them off. No silverware. Napkins, or crackers for my 2 chili specials. The fries were cold and soggy. I have learned my lesson and will go the extra distance to Roseville for my food now. They must’ve spoiled me with everything the Royal oak location neglected me with. I thought Royal oak would’ve at least matched Roseville’s service and am absolutely shocked that y’all let Roseville out do you!!!

Went in Friday 1/24/25 for lunch. No heat should have been a hint to leave but my back was sore and I was hungry. Ordered soup to warm up and it wasn’t even warm. Ordered lunch and the only thing good was the fries. I won’t ever be back.

We ordered delivery and were so disappointed, our pita was crumbly and the cheese wasn’t even melted. The lettuce was almost all brown and they forgot the tomatoes. This location has gone downhill so fast in the last two years. Sadly, we will be getting our chicken finger pita elsewhere moving forward.
