Le Bristol Hotel in Paris Has a Hidden Chocolate Factory

"An on-site workshop and shop dedicated to artisanal food production, housing a mill that produces house-made bread from freshly milled wheat and bespoke sourdough starters, a climate-controlled cheese cave maturing comté, chèvre, camembert and other fine cheeses, a small chocolate factory turning out thousands of pralines weekly using grand cru cacao varieties, and a pasta laboratory; it also connects to an impressive wine cellar and sells many of these handcrafted goods to visitors and guests." - Stacey Leasca

Been looking for a gourmet strawberry tart like this: lots of fruit, a thin tart base, and a unique combination of flavours. This one delivers in almost every way. I know the strawberries are not in season yet but a bit of sourness (yet still juicy) was well balanced by the other (sweeter) components of the tart. The price of 17 euros is a bit steep for a tart, but compared to other overhyped patisseries like Cedric Grolet and Ritz Comptoir, this one delivers much better value for money.

Legitimately one of if not the best flan in Paris. Priced at 22€, it’s a little expensive but definitely worth the price! And the Charlotte is amazing, I loved it so much!

Classy and luxurious store, very professional service. Went for the flan and it was up to the hype. It's expensive but worth it. One of the best flans pâtissiers out there, a true experience to be shared.

It’s such a shame that the quality of the service does not match the quality of the pastries. For a place with such high standards, it would be expected that the staff be welcoming and wear a smile.

Quick visit to pick up some goodies to take home. They have an extensive selection of pasta, cakes, and chocolates. Excellent service also. Unfortunately, we were too full to eat any of our purchases at the time, but the fruit cake, even 2 days and a transatlantic flight later, was still excellent.

I ordered the flan with nuts and the brioche for click collect which worked perfectly. We walked in and was able to pick them up very easily. The brioche was very pretty to look at, fluffy and very delicious. The flan was expensive, but we had it over 2 nights as a little snack, and it was great even after 2 days in the fridge. Of course these items were very expensive, but thy were worth the money.

Whatever you chose you can go wrong everything is just delicious. Tried 10 flans across Paris (Jardin sucré, tapisserie, KL, Couvreur, Mam, Jojo, Brigat, conticini, Meunier), the one from the Bristol is the best one. The pastry is crunchy and tasty and then layer it with a praline, then the perfect plan on top. The whole pastry is just so yummy and perfect. 18 euros for a full one, it says fir 2 but honestly the size makes fine for money as the taste is so so good. Got to try it

€15 for an ok eclair. Julia, however, was great and spoke excellent English. The chocolate was more impressive than the pastry.
