SF Malaysian Restaurant Mahila from Azalina’s Opens in Noe Valley | Eater SF

"I recall that the 1320 Castro Street spot was previously home to Contigo, a local Spanish restaurant staple whose owners moved to Santa Cruz to open a new business." - Caleb Pershan

Whoa. This place was so insanely good. The best fresh (spring) rolls we've had in our lives (10/10), and the tofu vegetables was just insanely good. Everything was super clean too (even the water glasses, which we're pretty picky about). Tofu vegetable pho was excellent too. Very friendly staff too. We are thrilled to have discovered this place and plan to come back often!!

Google
Tried the combination pho, it was a little pricey and with less portion than most pho places. I didn’t find it tastier than other pho places. So I would say if you prefer a nicer service and nicer atmosphere, then go for it.

This morning, I tried LeQuy and it felt just like being in Vietnam. I enjoyed a relaxed brunch with egg coffee and salt coffee, both rich and flavorful. The phở came in a hot pot, staying warm till the last bite. I also had bánh mì chảo, which was delicious. The service was great and they accept Apple Pay and credit cards. Definitely worth a visit!

Google
24th Street/Noe Valley area needed a proper Vietnamese restaurant and it got one. They also got Banh Mi also. Pretty good selection on the menu. Pho Ga is decent and so is the Bun Bo Hue. W00t! We try to go here regularly, especially on cold days where broth and soup hit perfectly.

Google
Really amazing wagyu pho, better than city top rated/reviewed places ive been too. Highly recommend coming here!!

Google
Some of the best pho I’ve had in SF and in a beautiful dining atmosphere too! I had the pho tai (rare beef) and my date had the veggie pho, both were super flavorful and full of the depth and generous with the toppings too. Service was so friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to come back and try the other dishes! I’m Vietnamese and grew up in Little Saigon in Orange County so I’m always on the hunt for authentic Vietnamese food, but in SF you rarely do you get a beautiful dining atmosphere, delicious food, and good service for reasonable prices.

Google
The Wagyu Pho is off the charts delicious. I've done takeout and delivery, and each component is packaged separately so the crisp veggies stay crisp and the broth stays warm. The meat is delivered raw but cooks itself in the yummy broth. Portions are large and make at least 2 meals. I've never eaten in the restaurant, but it's super cute and cozy. A true neighborhood gem and my current go-to obsession!

Google
I ordered through doordash for pick up today and decided to try here for the first time. I ordered 3 wagyu pho soups, but each bowl of soups were missing the ribs. Why? The noodles weren’t the thick noodles. With 3 orders of pho soups, the veggies were minimal and weeks old. Lastly, the broth soups were bad so I’m not sure why others said it’s authentic. $100 for 3 wagyu pho soups missing exactly what was advertised. I felt scammed after I opened my order when I got home. Are these other reviews, even from local guides, even authentic? My experience says probably not. They’re probably paid reviews. I’m 100% Vietnamese and this is one of the worst pho places I’ve tried in the Bay Area, LA, and even the east coast.

Yelp
Pho is unique and the flavors range broadly from the three Vietnamese regions and with the natural dispora/blends of cultures we find an abundence of delicious Sino-Vietnamese/Chinese-Vietnamese pho places in the city. **When I'm craving a more Vietnamese centered flavor profile, this is the ONLY spot in the city that I've found. I randomly ended up at their Palo Alto location awhile back and thus kept their other locations in mind. Being in the city often, I wanted to try this location there with my man and hopefully share a delicious food experience. Ordering a different pho dish everytime I've gone here and nothing has disappointed - the fresh noodles are on point, the meat is good, and the soup is delicious. Being from the south bay, it took me a really long time to apperciate the Sino-Vietnamese pho spots and while I'll still be eating at those place, this is the place for all my pho cravings (beef pho anyways). Give it a try whether you're Viet or not. You might love it or might think it's better but that not the best out there, who knows. After being swooped back from a long time away, I was craving pho (I was thinking here but didn't specify), my man took me here. He knew. And she was happy. - Also great location, nice ambiance, great architecture and interior design, well thought out space planning. - P.S. their mango smoothies are good.

Yelp
Pho isn't something I usually crave, but last week I found myself really wanting a warm, hearty bowl. I haven't tried many Vietnamese spots in SF, but I decided to give this place a shot. As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me and seated me right away. The outdoor area looked nice, so I chose to sit there. It was a bit dim, aside from the hanging Christmas lights-- how festive! I had to use my phone's flashlight to read the menu, which I didn't mind. I ordered the regular pho along with a side of egg rolls, and everything arrived in under 10 minutes. The egg rolls were amazing, super crunchy and tasted authentic. The pho broth wasn't as flavorful as some places I've been to in San Jose, but after adding a little fish sauce, it hit the spot and totally satisfied my pho craving. I'd be open to trying other items on the menu like their rice plates!

Yelp
Overall, this is a decent Vietnamese restaurant. The BBQ pork spring roll was quite thick with a lot of stuffing. The peanut dipping sauce accompanied the rolls well. The bbq pork was on the sweeter side, but the meat was tender. The pho broth had a stronger cinnamon taste than other pho that I've had. There was no wait for a party of two on a Saturday night. The staff were very friendly. The place had a modern interior design. There was bar seating near the entrance, indoor seating, and a covered patio.

Yelp
I don't give out five stars often. I can officially claim that this is one of my favorite spots in SF. Their coffee, first of all, is unique and tasty. The form has a touch of creamy corn flavor. You NEED to try. It is the one with EDD. The pho is also fabulous. The broth is clear and not too salty. The clay pot rice is also incredible. I don't know everything about Vietnamese food, but they kinda adopted some elements from Chinese cuisines, which is genius. People here are so nice. They smile and seem like they are having a good time. The place is cute, in particular the patio. I will for sure be back soon!!!!!

Yelp
The staff were friendly and offered suggestions for the perfect lunch. We loved the decor: clean, calm and comfy. The enclosed patio allows you imagine you aren't in the middle of busy Castro but lunching under the shade trees. I loved the tasty Yellow Curry, and the Wagu Beef Hotpot was a sizzling delight. Even at a Vietnamese restaurant I never miss the chance to enjoy a sweet Thai iced tea with my spicy meal, and to linger over an Avocado Smoothie for dessert. When I'm back in The City again, I'll definitely stop by to "discover" this "dock" (somewhere near) the Bay.

Yelp
Kim was the sweetest. Really clean, relaxing vibe. Food was delicious! So flavorful. The spice on the Bún bò Huế was so good. Small kick but tolerable. You can definitely taste the lemongrass. The bbq pork spring rolls were also good and the chicken pho. I would probably pass on the calamari next time. It was good but would rather try something else. Street parking. We came sort of late and was able to get parking somewhat in front.

Yelp
Came here by accident around 630pm on a Wednesday - we were trying to go to the soft opening of their new location for their 20% off deal, but didn't realize that the location wasn't on maps yet. The inside is nice and modern, and pretty spacious, with a cute patio that was closed. -Fried shrimp & crab meat dumplings (10 for $14.95): we got this too share, and they werent too memorable - the filling didn't really taste like much, and it comes with a standard sweet chili suace for dipping. -Wagyu Pho ($23): I always hate when my pho broth gets cold too quickly, so the hot stone bowl was honestly really nice since it kept my broth warm the entire meal. The wagyu did help make the broth a bit richer and more flavorable compared to my friend's pho, but overall this wasn't anything special and I wouldn't get it again. We had to ask for the bean spouts/basil/lime because it didn't come served with the pho. Overall, LeQuy didn't really standout to me, and the food seemed a little pricey for what it was.

Yelp
We came here recently for my birthday lunch since I've been wanting to try this new Vietnamese restaurant in our neighborhood. The severs were really nice and brought us a high chair for our baby. The restaurant was very cute and modern. They even have a back patio. We ordered the fried calamari to share. And I thought it was really good. Not too much batter. And a good portion for two people. My husband ordered the beef rib bone pho. The broth was delicious and tasted clean. The meat fell off the bone. I ordered the chicken pho and thought it was very good. The broth was flavorful. The noodles were soft and silky. It was also perfect for sharing with our baby. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other dishes

Yelp
Date: Monday, February 10th, 2025 Party of: 2 Meal: Lunch Delivery Time Ordered: around 3pm Time Arrived: about an hour later How Ordered: DoorDash Delivered to: Outer Richmond 3. BBQ Pork Sandwiches - Big ($11.50) 4. BBQ Chicken Sandwiches - Big ($11.50) #19. Traditional Spring Rolls - 2 ($12.50) #23. Egg Rolls (3) - GT ($13.25) #28. Combination Seafood Noodle Soup ($22.95) - Sea Bass, Clear Noodles, Spicy Broth #33. Beef Combination ($18.50) - Spicy Broth I wanted Vietnamese food, but I wanted to try a new spot. LeQuy kept popping up in searches, so the hubby and I decided to give them a shot. Not sure of their regular pricing, but on DD, they are on the pricier side. I got the seafood noodle soup. I asked for clear noodles, but ended up with the same noodles as the hubs. I'm not really into regular rice noodles, so I just tossed those. I'm sure my bowl was pricier due to the sea bass. The few pieces I got were pretty good. Not too overcooked. The chicken banh mi was fine, as were the spring rolls. Both were pretty standard. Tho the spring rolls didn't come with peanut sauce which we thought was weird. I can't remember anything about the egg / imperial rolls. At least they came with a dipping sauce tho. An okay place to grab pho if in a pinch. I'm always down to try new spots, but I probably won't be coming back. REVIEW #3695

Yelp
Great pho, great neighborhood, great ambiance. My family and I Will be returning frequently

Yelp
I always opt for pho... but was craving gee mein (crispy noodle) and sure enough they have it! Really delicious, ton of flavor and the ratio of sauce to noodle is just right (the noodles don't get drenched in the gravy), just enough that the noodles are still crispy as the meal goes on. Highly recommend!

Yelp
You must try this place and get the Wagyu Pho!!! The soup and fixings come separately so everything is perfectly cooked, the meat is tender and plentiful, and the soup is perfectly balanced. The broth is very gentle without overpowering salt or sweetness, which I prefer. I've tried other things here-- also good, especially the spring rolls-- but honestly the wagyu pho is the way to go. I'll be back here a million times for the same thing. See ya there!

Yelp
Tried this Viet spot that just opened in the neighborhood. The service was very friendly and fast. Good ambiance. The pho Dac biet missed the mark for me. The broth was pretty bland. The meats were good and helped make the pho taste a little better. The spring rolls were good. I think as we've visited as they just opened, there is always room for improvement. Looking forward to coming back and supporting Viet businesses.

Yelp
First and last time I go to Lequy. I saw chef sneeze over food, no attempt to turn his head or cover his mouth.

Yelp
3.5 STARS While picking up a prescription from across the street, I noticed a new sign go up for LeQuy.... Just in time for fluffy weather because what's better than getting a steaming facial from a hot bowl of phở?! Opening this week is the third location of LeQuy (other locations: Campbell and Palo Alto). This space has been several restaurants in the last decade: Contigo, Azalina's, and most recently Birch & Rye. This is the first Viet resto in Noe so I'm hopeful LeQuy is here to stay. Open for takeout, indoor dining, and outdoor dining in the back patio (dog-friendly). Delivery to come. M E N U Usual Viet staples: Apps, bánh mì, phở, bún (vermicelli noodles), and rice plates. They also have fried rice, chow mein, and curry. Specialty dishes: phở bò wagyu (raw wagyu served on the side for DIY hotpot/shabu style) + claypot dishes. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. No msg. We visited for dinner and was quoted a 5 minute wait. It ended up taking 30 minutes. To kill time, I got drinks at The Peak's next door. F O O D We've been to their Palo Alto location and thought the food was ok. We ordered the phở bò wagyu w/ sườn bò: beef rib, cá kho tộ: caramelized sea bass claypot and cơm tay cầm: claypot rice w/ bbq pork + shrimp so wanted to try other items this time. * Chả Giò Thịt: Egg rolls w/ pork, taro, carrot (3 pc-$12.25): https://tinyurl.com/54xmbura Fav item, the egg rolls were hot, golden brown, and crunchy. Generously filled with a very lightly seasoned pork and taro filling. Served with a sweet chili sauce. * Cơm Sườn Nướng: BBQ Pork Chop w/ rice, salad ($16.50 + $2.50 fried egg): https://tinyurl.com/527y7yt3 Very lean pork chops with a light soy sauce based marinade, light on the fish sauce and didn't taste the traditional aromatics (i.e. lemongrass). Finished with scallion oil. Served with a side of crisp iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, and a very mellow đồ chua (pickled veggies). Nước chấm (fish dipping sauce) was quite watered down, missing punch and funk. No worries tho, I added a lot of sriracha. * Cơm Bò Lúc Lắc: Rock 'N Roll/Shaking Beef: Cubed Filet Mignon w/ bell peppers, rice ($20.25): https://tinyurl.com/2frktwnk -Requested rare Tender steak but lacking sear and missing that savory sweet buttery flavor. Wish there was lime dipping sauce for a boost. S E R V I C E Super friendly staff with positive vibes all around. Sweet aunties in the kitchen. They're figuring things out and trying the best they can. Until they work out the kinks, it's probably best to visit at off peak times. A M B I A N C E Cozy modern indoor dining area with an open kitchen (same vibe and furnishings as Birch & Rye). Covered back patio with heat lamps. The tables in the patio are tightly packed so if someone is already seated, it may be hard to pull out the chair to sit. P A R K I N G Metered and residential parking can be challenging. Overall, decent Viet food if you live in the area. IMO, the flavors are toned down compared to other Viet restos, particularly the ones in TL and E San Jo. Regardless, LeQuy is the first and only Viet resto in Noe so they'll be a hit!!

Yelp
Came with a big group. The place is a decent size, nice ambiance and we were seated right away. Banh mi- I would say skip these altogether. Two people in our group got these and they were extremely dry and lacked any flavor. Chicken wings- These were very crispy and flavorful Calamari- These were semi crispy and overall ok. Seabass fried rice- This was probably the favorite item we got. It was really good with a decent amount of chilean seabass mixed in. Pho- it was average for the flavor in the broth. My friend who is vietnamese agreed and we both thought it was ok. Overall, we thought the food is average and will continue to try new vietnamese places. Loved their service and hospitality though!

Jolens V.

Yelp
The food was good. The claypot with Chinese Sausage , mushrooms and rice was tasty. The Salmon was dry., The shrimp was big and tasty. The soup was full of umami and the salad was fresh and crunchy. The service was excellent. The place is very quiet , calm and clean . They have a patio thats dog friendly. It is very close to the number 48 bus stop.

Yelp
Such a great addition to the neighborhood - this will definitely become one of my regular spots. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and loved the modern interior. Now to the best part, this was some of the best pho I've had since moving to San Francisco! We ordered the chicken pho and the wagyu pho and loved both so much. You also have the option to get the broth spicy or regular, I opted for regular with a side of chili oil. Highly recommend this the next time you're craving a good bowl pho! Definitely will be back to try more soon items.

Yelp
Lovely Vietnamese food spot in Noe! It's a new place, but it was still bustling on a Monday evening with friend groups and families. The interior is both spacious, bright, and calming with bar seats and booths. The menu is pretty limited on the vegetarian options (no veggie broth), so I ordered the Chilli Lemon Grass tofu. The food came out quickly, and the tofu was super well fried and well seasoned (though I wouldn't have minded stronger)! The service was really friendly, despite being a new restaurant and trying to get into the flow of orders and closing tabs.
google avatar

Bill C.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service - love the apps selection Not a big meat eater so skip a multitude of options that everyone else seems to love. Gets quite busy for "family time" good value for money- wines are mediocre- def a return customer
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
Ambiance was new and modern. We came at 12:30pm on a Sunday and there was not a lot of people. The restaurant has a very chill vibe. We ordered wagyu beef pho and the special clay pot rice with BBQ shrimp and BBQ pork. Both items came very hot and fresh. For the pho, the rice noodles was a very small portion but good amount of beef. The claypot rice also had little rice but a good amount ingredients. Both had very good flavor but was a little too oily. Overall, a good experience and would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. I would recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Came in on a weekend for lunch since I was in the neighborhood, and had had this place saved after seeing it mentioned on TikTok a while ago. Unfortunately, the pho didn't seem to match my tastes nor its price point. A shame because the ambiance inside the restaurant is rather lovely, especially being able to sit outside on the back patio on a warm afternoon. I'd ordered the brisket pho and asked to add tripe, which I didn't think would cost extra (or that much extra) since there was a combination meat pho for just $1 more that included tripe, tendon, and raw brisket. However, I was surprised at the end of my meal to find that adding the tripe was an additional $6 for just a couple strands of tripe! I'd chosen to pay an additional 0.50 for the fresh noodles, which were okay. However, the soup I found rather lackluster. There was no depth, no savoriness. It was very light and slightly sweet. The usual plate of herbs and garnishments I found to be a bit sparse as well. My one bowl ended up costing $29 after tax and tip.

Yelp
We started with their traditional Spring Rolls which contained shrimp and slices of pork with a peanut sauce on the side. The rolls were large and cut in half which equaled the size of four regular-sized rolls you would get anywhere else. They were fresh, well-made and delicious. I opted for the BBQ pork rice plate which included a salad, a small cup of soup, rice, and a generous portion of thinly sliced pork. The flavors made me very happy. The dipping sauce on the side and tubes of hoisin and sriracha on the table provided more options for even more flavor. The service was so friendly as many people have already written. Le Quy has a large menu featuring traditional dishes including, of course, Pho, which we will try next time.
google avatar

Jabez P.

Yelp
Got the combination seafood soup with sea bass spicy, I actually really enjoyed it. The shrimp was tasty & had some crab, octopus and fish. The broth was yummy & spicy would get again. The spring roll was alright wish it had a crunch or smthn felt too lettuce-y for my liking
google avatar

Vi L.

Yelp
All of the food was amazing, the crispy egg noodle could use a bit more flavoring and salt, but other than that. Everything else was flavorful. The service was great. The ambiance was incredibly peaceful, with beautiful interior and decor. Lovely jazz music and warmly welcomed by the waiters. It was all slightly pricey, but considering that it is in SF, it's pretty good.
google avatar

Zoei H.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing My sister and I went twice in less than 24 hours It's now "our" spot. The staff is so welcoming from enter to exit! Before I knew I needed a refill it was already sitting in front of me. The atmosphere is natural zen just calming. I tried the vermicelli chicken and shrimp , then ordered the Pad Thai both are amazing I couldn't put my fork down. Planning our next trip to SF just to stop by here once more

HEctor G.

Yelp
Amazing food! Love this place. Friendly staff. Friendly suggestion - On your business card can you make the address bigger. My friends and I had a really really difficult time reading it, but my friend's daughter could read it. Ask people over 50 if they can read the address. We had a take a picture of it and zoom in.
google avatar

Miss F.

Yelp
I had a very nice lunch here. The pho broth was rich and flavorful. The chicken was sliced thinly so it was perfect with the broth and noodles. Service was quick and professional. Clean, homey but also classy interior. What a great addition to Noe Valley!
google avatar

Evelynne L.

Yelp
Came here around 7:30pm on a Monday night and got seated right away. I saw this spot on tiktok and really wanted to try their special soup - the Wagyu beef one! I heard it's like a deconstructed pho where you get the meat separately and can cook it in the soup broth to your liking. I wanted to order this but they said they were sold out for the day. So I ordered the beef combination pho instead. The broth was very tasty, a little on the sweeter side but once you add lots of basil in it, it balances out the flavor. The meats were cooked well, super tender. The pho noodles felt a little hard, almost like the texture of noodles when they are a day old. It didn't have that chewy pho noodle texture to it.
google avatar

Wilma C.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, lots of options, portions of the spring roll was very big. Loved the yellow curry shrimp w/ jasmine rice .
google avatar

Miranda M.

Yelp
They just opened a day ago so they seem to still have some work to do, but so happy to have a Vietnamese restaurant in Noe valley! Food was good, each dish was filling and reasonably priced. They have many gluten free dishes and mark clearly on the menu what is gluten free! We had spring rolls, pho, and pad thai (not gf) and I love the spring rolls and pho. Service was slow but food came kinda quick, but seems like growing pains. Love how you can see the kitchen, the restaurant has a nice vibe. There's a back patio too with cover. A welcome addition to the neighborhood!!
google avatar

Cynthia G.

Yelp
This is a new place in Noe. My son and I ate here tonight. The food is really good. Beautifully presented and generous portions. The food arrived quickly and the server was attentive. So happy to have this new restaurant in the neighborhood. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the view of a messy corner where equipment is stored and the view of the refrigerators is not pleasant. Looks like a lovely garden room at the back though.
google avatar

Jane M.

Yelp
Lovely interior. The same menu as a million other Vietnamese restaurants -- that's the good and the bad news. The problem is that everything is much too sweet. There is even a fair amount of sugar in the pho which was pretty bland. LeQuy: we know you can do better! Over-sweetening is easy to fix!
google avatar

Vivian N.

Yelp
Excellent new pho spot in Noe Valley! So happy the neighborhood has this yummy Vietnamese spot. I've gone here twice and ordered the pho, clay pot, egg rolls, and the banh mi to go. All were delicious! I love how flavorful the pho broth is and they give a lot of meat. The clay pot is very tasty and the egg rolls crunchy! The staff is very friendly, service is great, a lot of seating available, and modern decor. Also, dogs are allowed on the outdoor patio! Definitely will be a repeat customer!
google avatar

Jaime B.

Yelp
The modern decor matched the flavor of the cuisine! I had the chicken curry with rice and the pork fried rice. The curry was smooth and buttery, not watery, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The portion was more than decent along with the presentation. The pork fried rice was equally tasty. The rice was fluffy and the pork was thin and not over powering any of the other flavors such as the shrimp or veggies that were in the combination. Everything tasted fresh and lively. A welcome addition to the neighborhood of restaurants in the area. Definitely something new and different, yet familiar. The staff was very obliging to any questions or requests, definitely adding to the charm of the ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
The service is wonderful, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is sophisticated but casual. My favorite thing on the menu is #41 Vietnamese Beef Stew Noodle. I come here at least once a week! Love love love! Thank you so much!

Yelp
So, as a Vietnamese American, I am always excited to try out new Viet places, especially when they are close to my house! I had high hopes for this spot, but honestly, the experience was mixed. The ambiance was actually super nice, exactly what I expected for a Noe Valley restaurant. Service was also great! I felt taken care of, and when I asked for nuoc mam for the egg rolls i ordered, they didn't bat an eye. But yea, the crab and shrimp egg rolls were kinda bland. I was hoping for more flavor, like the ones they have in SJ. I also was not impressed with the ca kho to. I think the fish (cod) was overcooked and the sauce was a little too salty for my taste. I saw a lot of yuppies and not many Asian customers, which should have been my tipoff to expect a watered down experience.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
I love this location more than other locations that they had, the inside look nice and clean, staff is super fast, friendly and efficient.... The food come out hot and delicious, a little salty - over marinated but stil taste very good, love the vietnamese coffee - so authentic...

Yelp
This place was so so so so soooooo good! I am from Vietnam and this place hit home!!! If you ever want your Vietnamese food fix you NEED to check this place out. Highly recommend coming from a Vietnamese local/native. So healthy, so warm, so delicious!!! Happy gal

Yelp
Solid Vietnamese food with high quality ingredients. The service was friendly and the space modern and inviting. It's a great addition to Noe Valley. I don't think it's a destination spot but convenient and good if you're in the neighborhood.

Anyssa M.

Yelp
Stopped by and had a wonderful experience. The waitress and staff are very nice and quick to provide excellent service. We ordered a waygu pho, banh mi sandwich, garlic noodle with bbq chicken and the off the menu mussels. Coming from someone who doesn't like the taste of fish these were some of the best mussels I've had. They were full flavor that blended so well. The waygu pho comes in a bowl with steaming hot soup that you are able to place the meat into to cook. My only complaint is the banh mi sandwich it could use some love. Just lacked in flavor and also could use some more ingredients.

Yelp
Another new restaurant in Noe Valley! So nice to be able to walk to lunch in the hood. I admit I wondered how good a Vietnamese restaurant in Noe valley could be.... well, it could be really good. The ambiance is lovely and quite a change from where we usually eat Vietnamese good. Lots of people enjoying lunch there today and the atmosphere was great. Service was very friendly and good. I had the bbq pork and grilled shrimp bun. Delicious! Better than the PPQ -- delicious caramelized pork and grilled shrimp, lots of finely diced lettuce and yummy vermicelli noodles snd dipping sauce, I am definitely going back. My husband had the chicken pho and enjoyed. It. Some vegetables in it would have been nice but the chicken was tender and broth was good. We are going back soon to try more dishes. Some reviews mentioned the prices. They seem in line with other SF spots. Food was very well done.

Yelp
A memorable dining experience. Great spring rolls, reasonable prices, and friendly service.

Yelp
Thank you for landing here Lequy. This spot has been a repeat offender of overly pretentious expensive food for years. Now what we got is good Viet food at a pretty good price. Yes it's more expensive than that place in the Tenderloin but you're in Noe Valley. They have the staples here bánh mì, pho, vermichelli noodles. It's all pretty tasty. It's been pretty full at rush hours but we seem to find a spot inside or in the warm and dry patio in the back. The staff is friendly and the food comes fast. I guess the odd thing is this place was a Spanish tapas joint, then an upscale Indonesian place, then a bougie Russian place. So the layout is just oddly used (notice that wood fire oven in the front is just storage). I get it, place just opened...so let's see where they go with it as they get settled. And I do hope they stay settled in for a long time!

Yelp
I got take out #35 and #36. On a positive note, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food portions are good, but considering the price, they should be. (However, Noe Valley is not a cheap neighborhood.) Negative: The meat was only semi-defrosted. When I put it in the pho soup, it caused the soup to be way too cold to drink, so I had to microwave it. Other negative, and more important, is the amount of sugar/sweetner in the pho soup. It was waaay too sweet --- more like dessert -- must have been half a cup of sugar in the soup! It's still a very new resturant, at least new in Noe Valley, so I'm sure they are still working things out. We need them in NV, so I'm willing to try them again.

Yelp
Wagyu pho was great. The stone bowl kept my noodles piping hot and there was a lot of meat, more than average. I saw other reviews about their prices and portions. But I found them to be reasonable for San Francisco and their location in Noe.

Yelp
Wagyu Pho The soup and toppings were served separately and were cooked to perfection, the meat was tender, the portion was generous and the soup was just right. The soup was mild and not too salty or sweet, which I prefer. The spring rolls were really delicious - but to be honest, the wagyu pho was the best. I will come back for more than just this one.
