"Situated in a period palazzo near one of Modena’s oldest churches (the façade of Santa Maria della Pomposa dates from the medieval period and the church was rebuilt in 1717), this bright, modern and minimalist restaurant has just a few tables set some distance apart and is adorned with contemporary paintings on its walls. Talented chef Luca Marchini focuses mainly on creative cuisine, although fans of more traditional fare will also find a few Emilian specialities on the menu. The excellent sommelier is also able to recommend interesting and rare wines from small-scale wineries, including from outside Italy and often by the glass." - Michelin Inspector

Great Michelin star restaurant tucked away in Modena. We came for dinner and tried the vegetarian course menu. All the flavours for all the dishes were perfect, they all went well and complemented the vegetables that went with them. The use of vegetables was creative, all the dishes were well presented, couldn’t go wrong. At the end of all these courses you don’t realise you’re full. Full of lovely flavours and healthy vegetables. Wonderful dinner and wine pairing option. The only negative point is that you don’t get to pair a different wine with every dish. As the restaurant was not busy the night we were there, there was extra staff present and as soon as you finished the next dish came out quickly.

I was there at noon, the food was very good, the footprint of the chef (Luca Marchini) is to put a bit of sweetness in every dish (at least on the menu we take 20 years of memories). The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is very professional and gave us great service.

We spent our New Years Eve dinner here and had the most amazing gastronomic experience. Chef Luca and staff made sure we had an amazing night! Grazie Millie and Buon Anno!

The best part of this meal was our amusebouche and the incredible wine selections from the very charming and knowledgeable sommelier. We had the traditional menu, but I would've opted for the mysterious 10 course expression if I could choose again. Lovely music, lovely evening.

Very nice location and good service. We had dinner and tried the tasting menu “La Storicità dei piatti”, it was all very good. They have a wide selection of wines. It was a great experience and we had a very nice dinner.

We had the menu Espressione and really enjoyed the 10 course blind tasting! For us, each course was very creative and exciting - thank you!

Staff were lovely and nice ambiance inside. However the food was a disappointing. Could see what they were going for but the descriptions on the menu we're confusing and what was served just didn't quite hit the mark of delicious Michelin dining, especially at the price point. For 35 € a main, the amberjack dish was oily, unappealing and overpriced. After reading reviews, we hoped this would be a nice meal in Modena but I'm sad to say was only average.

Yelp
Where you have to use a credit card to make reservations.... And then walk in and your the only table... and when you finish your meal 2+ hours later and your still the only table .... It should tell you something. Staff was exceptionally nice. Ambiance was clean just empty. I have eaten all over the world and I was VERY disappointed in our meal.

Yelp
Go here. Get the "traditional" degustation menu. Thank me. It's 65E, and it takes 2.5 hours, but it is worth every second and penny. Great bottomless wine pairings make the 30E worthwhile (just try not to fill up on Lambrusco, just like you should avoid filling up on bread - both are great starts that will hurt you later if you lack restraint). The tagliatelle, tortellini en brodo, and veal dishes were superb, as was the dessert. The cuttlefish was less impressive, but still part of a solid lineup. Other than that, I'll leave it to the pictures. This was a great meal and a must-do in Modena. The only place that may do it better is Stado Facendo, a little further from town but absolutely worth the trip.
