Barbie Releases Chef Doll Inspired by Hélène Darroze | Eater

"Opened by Hélène Darroze in Paris and bearing her name, this restaurant earned a coveted two-star rating from the Michelin Guide, marking it as a highly acclaimed fine-dining venue; the chef’s roughly 25-year tenure in the kitchen and her 2012 induction into the French Legion of Honor further underscore its prestige." - Greg Morabito

We went to this restaurant to have a good feel of real French cuisine. We ordered a variety of different meals and shared. The challenge of the day was to try snails for the first time. We tried them as a whole family (me, my wife and two kids). Main conclusion is that we do not regret trying snails but none of us really liked it. But it was a nice feeling of success to be able to eat them properly with the special fork and gripper. Make sure you watch a YouTube video before you attempt to eat it for the first time. The other food was tasty in general. The service was fast and the staff was friendly.

Here’s a refined version of your review: Les Amourettes is conveniently located just a 5–10 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. The service is excellent, the food came out quickly, and everything was delicious. The ambiance is warm and relaxed—perfect for a quiet dinner with good conversation. Prices are very reasonable, making it a great value. If you’re looking for a dinner spot near the Eiffel Tower where you can enjoy great food and actually talk, I highly recommend this place.

Superb food, in fact the best we had in Paris. The onion soup was perfect, and the duck confit also. Save room for the creme brulee. 10/10

We enjoyed the food but we recommend this for the service! Our server was fast, attentive, friendly and has good recommendations. He was honest that our order is enough and no need to add more. Truth be told, the portion is home style and will give your fill. I’m used to over ordering as fine dining portions are normally small. This time it was more than enough. The wine was extremely good. The bill shows no tip but When he scanned my card to pay, the card reader showed options for tip and he said “if you like”, it is not obligatory from the card reader but i paid it exactly as my bill without tip and we gave him cash tip of what we feel is correct. He was not pushing for it. Will come back again, it feels romantic even if the hanged flowers are fake but I suggest they remove the fake flowers from the table.

Decent place to grab a meal. The meal was decent. The ribs were excellent The lamb was a little chewy The steak could have been taken out a little early. Ask for medium rare as the preferred cook seems to be medium. Even with medium rare the meat was a little dry The pasta was a little bland The side vegetables were good When you are billed you are expected to tip. This came as a surprise since it’s generally not the convention to tip in Paris and starts form 15% I think.

Fantastic experience! Thomas is an excellent server, with the best energy! Paloma is a friendly hostess and was very sweet to talk to. The food was magnificent, definitely try the mango sorbet! Wish I could take this place back to America with me!

Loved our dinner here. We made reservation on Google. It was busy at around 8pm, but we were seated promptly. Absolutely loved the French onion soup. I loved that it had a lot of broth that was flavorful and not just filled with bread or have the texture of a bisque. It was truly a good French onion soup. Beef bourguinion was throughly enjoyed with the presentation to the exquisite taste. Cheeseburger was delicious. Our daughter loved it. The “famous” steak (as labeled on the menu ) was OK but the peppercorn sauce that came on the side was fantastic. The French fries that came with the burger and the steak were really good too. Salmon with green beans was excellent as well! The only questionable moment was when we were paying for the bill, our server specifically asked us to leave gratuity and the gratuity percentage choices were given on the credit card machine (like in USA). We were shocked. That was the first time we were blatantly asked to leave a tip all the while the server was stating right at us. When people do this in USA, they politely look away as you enter the tip. That was not the case here. We know to round up our bill at the end for great service. But even higher end restaurants like the ones with Michelin stars or at a hotel like four seasons did not throw tipping in our face like this. I think learning how to ask for gratuity with grace is something this restaurant can teach the staff. We left the restaurant feeling quite uncomfortable. So I docked a star for atmosphere and service.

Very good French food. We have been there a couple of times. Loved the trout, the chicken, the steak frites, escargot, and the ravioli. The stew is a total miss for me.
