Barbie Releases Chef Doll Inspired by Hélène Darroze | Eater

"Opened by Hélène Darroze in Paris and bearing her name, this restaurant earned a coveted two-star rating from the Michelin Guide, marking it as a highly acclaimed fine-dining venue; the chef’s roughly 25-year tenure in the kitchen and her 2012 induction into the French Legion of Honor further underscore its prestige." - Greg Morabito

We visited this restaurant in Paris on Christmas Eve as part of a family trip to Disneyland and the Eiffel Tower, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and perfect for a special holiday treat. Thomas, our host, really made the evening—funny, welcoming, and very informative. He kept everyone entertained and made the night feel extra special. I even tried the frog’s legs for novelty on behalf of the table, which added to the fun! A wonderful evening all around, great food, great company, and great service. Highly recommended.

Thomas at Les Amours was absolutely fantastic. He was very entertaining, attentive, and genuinely made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. His service was excellent and he was incredibly helpful. The food exceeded our expectations and tasted amazing. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The restaurant itself is cozy and in a great spot, which made the experience even better. Overall, a wonderful visit thanks to Thomas’s great service and the outstanding food. Would definitely return.

I was skeptical about this restaurant because it's so close to the Eiffel Tower, but we had a short amount of time between tours. Our guide recommended this over other places in the area, and I'm glad he did. First, our waiter, Thomas, was amazing! Honestly, one of the best I've ever had. He was friendly, funny, and great at his job. The food was great! I got the French onion soup. My friend got a pasta. My other friend got chicken. All of which were very good! The outside was so cute with a little bear couple set up on a date. It was adorable. I would come back!

The waiter, I believe his name was Emile. I am so grateful. He was very friendly, always checked on my table, and seemed very caring. He is a great worker and I am happy to have had him as my waiter. The mussels & fries, pesto pasta with burratta, and omg those truffled deviled eggs were excellent!!! It was unforgettable. Also the Gin & Cucumber cocktail was to die for. When I come back to paris I am coming back here. Thank you for everything

I was very disappointed by this restaurant near the Eiffel Tower. The food was simply not good, especially considering the prices. The onion soup was extremely watery; while the flavor itself wasn’t terrible, it was far from what you would expect from a French classic. The roasted Camembert was completely inedible. Some bites tasted strongly of ammonia, which is unacceptable. The bread served with it wasn’t toasted at all—just dry and hard—and the pairing with honey and an overly sweet balsamic vinegar was awful and poorly balanced. I honestly can’t understand the price-to-quality ratio here; it is totally disproportionate. This place feels like a classic tourist trap, and restaurants like this shouldn’t ruin visitors’ experiences. Under the Eiffel Tower, there should be truly French restaurants that reflect the quality and culinary reputation France is so proud of around the world. Also in 2026 should be some good vegetarian options on the menu.

Please avoid!! I was expecting higher prices being close to the Eiffel Tower, but little did we know we were going to get tourist trapped. When we asked for still water, we were brought water in a branded bottle, rather than tap water like every other restaurant we been to in the city. They even pour the water out so you can’t reject the bottle. That added €8 to our bill. The table next to us was a French family, they had the tap water pitcher. The other Asians had the branded water on their table too. My dad ordered the hot wine, which we were charged €14 for. When we left, we saw that the to-go cups were €6! And the cups were significantly larger in volume! And it was hella mid. The food was great, it was unfortunate that we had a bad time with our waiter and being overcharged.

We visited this restaurant during our day trip to Paris and absolutely loved it. Our waiter, Thomas, was so friendly and very engaging! The food was great and the wait wasn’t long either! Plus it’s within walking distance from the Eiffel Tower! Great service and great food overall!!
