Daly Pie, Nargis Park Slope, Rzeszowska, and Excelsior All to Close by End of July - Eater NY

"Park Slope will say goodbye to its longstanding gay bar Excelsior. The 20-year-old bar closes Wednesday, July 31, at 563 Fifth Ave., near 15th Street. Partners Mark Nayden and Richard Kennedy blame the rising real estate costs of the neighborhood. “More than ever, rising costs, like rent and taxes, make your neighborhood bars and restaurants struggle every day,” they said in a statement on Facebook. The current lease is ending, and the landlord was only willing to renew for another year. The bar originally opened in 1999 at 390 Fifth Ave., where it lived for 15 years before moving to its current location." - Carla Vianna

Welcome to Shisha Bar… or at least, that’s what it feels like living in Excelsior! You didn’t sign up for it, but hey, free secondhand smoke every day! The management promises are as thin as the air quality here. If you’re looking for a smoke-free home, you might want to keep looking. For those who enjoy the perpetual aroma of tobacco, congratulations, you’ve hit the jackpot!

My experience in this apartment has been disappointing. Seven months ago, I noticed a persistent cigarette odor, which management addressed after three months with a temporary solution. Unfortunately, the issue has returned in the past month, making the living conditions unpleasant once again. The process for reporting issues is outdated and inconvenient. Residents must leave a note for the doorman on a piece of paper, which is then passed on to management. However, despite multiple inquiries, there has been no response or timeline for resolution. Additionally, attempts to contact management via email, using the provided address, have been met with silence. This lack of responsiveness and accountability is concerning. While the building may have had positive ratings previously, it seems these are only applicable under ideal circumstances. I would caution against considering this apartment, especially for those with health concerns or a desire for a smoke-free environment! Furthermore, individuals with traditional 8-5 work schedules may find it challenging, even impossible, to communicate with management. Other than the piece of paper that can easily get lost, there is literally no other way to communicate with anyone. If they come to your door and you are not home because you were working (from 8-9), you lose your chance, and the process should start over. No call, no email, you will not even know if they passed or not. Overall, this has been a regrettable rental experience, and I advise against choosing this residence, especially if you are a non-smoker.

It isn't just my opinion but most of people live in Montreal say this apartment is one of the best apartments. Specifically, education atmospere, security, convenience and public transportation. Most of all, there are many neat and witty parks around the App.

Nice apartment building in Cote st Luc Conveniently located across from a shopping mall where you can do your groceries and go to the pharmacy They have a lot of Kosher foods as this area has a denser Jewish presence There are nice walking places and a new housing development that was built recently across the boulevard
