I can understand why it gets the recognition it deserves in the leading restaurant guides.Gault Millau Young Tallent Award 2019. I stumbled on it by accident. The dinner menu is simple, delicious and BEAUTIFULLY presented local produce. The place is small , smart, with yellow table clothes. I had the fixed price menu 'Les Bartavelles', with Noix St Jacques (perfect) followed by the Suggestion du Chef, a surpisingly tender slice of young pork in a simple gravy (jus espice) and boiled potatoes, I let them spoil me with their local wines. The Vouvray was not the very best but the 2019 Chinon met my palate gleefully. Perfect dinner, delightfully served by the chef Ghislain Damaye and his staff - Price for one under euros 100.
