Les Boulistes

Visited while on holiday in Lyon, initially drawn by its presence in the Michelin Guide and the Salted Butter Chocolate Fondant. We were very well looked after from the start, with the staff taking the time to recommend dishes and a wine to go with. The food and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic, with the chocolate fondant being perhaps one of the best things that I have ever eaten! Would definitely recommend visiting if you are in Lyon

What an example of modern French cuisine with excellent fresh ingredients without unnecessary fluff.

The food was excellent—kudos to the chef! However, I believe there is an opportunity for improvement in the service. The junior waiter seemed to struggle with the wine list and wasn't able to assist with our wine selection. Additionally, it would have enhanced our experience if the pace of service was a bit more efficient, as it took around 15 minutes to clear the dirty dishes. Overall, a wonderful meal with potential for better service!

Lovely surprise. I hadn't planned anything for my trip to Lyon, but I'm glad I didn't! We found this restaurant while wandering the streets and it was a very pleasant discovery. The spot is really nice and discreet, next to people playing pétanque (“the national sport”, apparently). The food is a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. It's probably the best food I've had in Lyon. However, the best part was probably the service. We had a chance to chat with the waiters and they are really attentive, trying to make you feel at home, even as a foreigner! This really convinced me to write a review. We'll definitely be back if we can!

Quite a nice restaurant located close to a small square. The food is good and the quantities fair. The service was a bit random and was the only bad comment of our evening. Otherwise it is still a nice restaurant with a nice terrace that I recommend.

Wow. Phenomenal food from start to finish. Sophisticated, flavourful, and extremely affordable at €32 for a three course meal. Wines were excellent too! Don't fall for the Croix Rousse tourist traps. Come here instead!!!

Everytime when coming to Lyon we book a table at Les Boulistes: we just love the excellent food, the super service and (in summer) the great space outside!
