A fantastically good restaurant in the centre of Paris between the Avenue de l'Opera and Place St. Honore. Owned and operated by a Japanese family cooking great french food perfectly with Japanese precision and attention to flavours and presentation. Top quality ingredients treated with respect and no blibs and blobs. Mackerel marinated in Xeres vinegar and chives. Wild salmon marinated with fresh ginger sticks and chives. Fricassee of shrimp and scallops with caramelised mushrooms. Turbot poached in white wine and truffles. These were some of the dishes we ate. Unusual desserts included iced nougat with vanilla ice cream and raspberry coulis with no seeds in the coulis! And candied chestnuts baked in bric pastry served with drizzled chocolate covered caramel ice cream. Best meal we had in Paris. Prices not expensive for this level of cooking, and far less than many so-so restaurants in Paris. It's very small and cozy so booking is essential. People with reservations were being turned away regretfully.

This place is amazing! Loved the homey atmosphere and taste. The food seemed so simple yet the taste was exquisite not too extravagant. The Japanese-French fusion works really well in combining the best of both worlds.

Our favorite meal in Paris hands down. It was so delicious and perfect balance of light and flavor. I’m drooling thinking about this. The fish carpaccios are amazing and if you see foie gras definitely get it! Service was attentive and comfortable.

Absolutely top! French cuisine with a Japanese twist, doesn’t look much and foods are not photogenic at all, but definitely one of the best ( if not the best ) on the plaza saint honoré. Dinner menu only 30 euro, generous quantity and good quality, worth a try!

So glad we came! We ordered the 2 course set lunch but added the pan fried foie gras and panna cotta to share. The Japanese inspired flavors were delicious and produce was fresh, loved every dish! Great value too. We hope to come back when we’re next in town!

The quality of the food is correct, but nothing too special in my opinion, especially given the prices. The service and the atmosphere were not great. With a little bit more care the place could improve a lot…

Yelp
A very homey small very tasty place serving French fare. It was recommended to us by a local chef from the restaurant around the corner, which we visited a week prior. Simple and delicious.
