"At the helm of this stylish bourgeois establishment is an inspired sommelier, Best Craftsman of France, Philippe Troussard. His immense talent and the sheer scope of his wine list (over 1,000 references) raise the concept of food-wine pairing to an art form. The well-crafted recipes are the work of a skilful chef. The terrace enjoys a sweeping view of the grounds, the River Cuisance and the legendary Arbois vineyards." - Michelin Inspector

"Les Caudalies in Vichy has it all: a stylishly elegant dining room strewn with contemporary details, an appealing wine list with over 900 labels selected by Lucie, chef Emmanuel Basset’s wife, and a culinary line-up of tasty and generous dishes that tread a fine line between tradition and modernity. NB: check out the “cadole” dining area, between the wine cellar and the kitchen, which sports a vintner's lodge vibe." - Michelin Inspector

We had a lovely family lunch at Les Caudalies in Vichy to celebrate a birthday, and everything was perfect. The menu offers plenty of choices, featuring delicious traditional French cuisine beautifully prepared. There’s also an excellent wine selection, and the staff gave great recommendations. The service was friendly, attentive, and professional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The setting is elegant and charming, ideal for a family meal or a nice dinner with friends. A great place we would definitely recommend in Vichy! 🍷🍽️

One of our best meals in our trip to France. The service was very polite and helpful (given our lack of French). The selection of menus is a little complicated but there is a lot of selection. The wine list is very extensive - we had a great Provence rose. The food was excellent and served with care and style. My wife rarely even has two courses but enjoyed three it was so good. Highly recommend all round. This is the kind of restaurant France excels at and you don’t find easily in other countries. Wonderful.

This is a traditional French restaurant. Their foods’re well-cooked, their service is very gentle, careful, elegant and exquisite(!). The style meets my imagination to the old-fashioned French way, but it looks like a neighborhood restaurant with the simple outside, comparing with the quality, the price is too cheap. Highly recommend! Wish this restaurant a very good future! 💯💯

Google
Unpretentious top-class French restaurant offering a comprehensive menu of quality food (and drink). The building looks bijou from the outside but the main salon is large with high ceilings and adorned with local artwork. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Can highly recommend. Would suggest booking in advance during the peak summer season as it’s extremely popular. This can be done online. Overall, it’s the kind of restaurant that France does exceptionally well so don’t miss out.

We made a review months before arriving, and upon meeting local merchants they all insisted we must have a meal there - glad we had made the reservation! Upon arrival, staff met us at the door, offered English menus, showed us the specials and made us comfortable. AMAZING wine options and advice, and the food was both culturally specific to things that you can only get the best of in Vichy, but also fresh and interesting. The dessert cart was a CHEESE cart and I couldn't have been happier. It was heaven on wheels.

Yelp
This place was exactly what we were looking for! We walked in and at first were a little overwhelmed by the options and also we are newbies with French. However, the lovely Lucy came over to help translate and explain the menu options. We had escargots (snails), vichyssoise d'asperges (Cold asparagus soup with smoked salmon, mint and egg), moussaka lamb, and whitefish with a saffron sauce! Lucy helped us choose a nice, local red wine for our meal and also helped us choose local cheeses for dessert. We also had the Paris Brest cake (choux pastry, praline whipped cream, and nougatine)! We had just learned about how the cake was created specifically for the first major cycling race so we felt obligated to try it and it was great! It came out and looked huge but the server assured me that despite its size it's actually quite light. Overall, this was a delicious dinner in a great atmosphere with perfect, friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant!
