Beautiful restaurant in the heart of Avallon where it is situated directly next to the church. Uppon entrance you're suprised with the vivid modern interior within the medieval frame. The decor illustrates the restaurant perfectly: traditional and local dishes with a modern twist. The waiters are skilled, friendly/informal, and attentive. The guests a nice mixture of locals and some tourists, and all age groups. We enjoyed the escargots, beautiful quality and well portioned foie gras (tip: choose the half portion), risotto with morilles, perfectly made veal, a caramel tarte tatin and a classical lava chocolate pie (moelleux au chocolat). With help of the waiter we chose a biologocal wine from the region (Fixin of Domaine du Vieux Collége) which made our evening complete.
