Les Délices Lafrenaie Pointe-Claire is our favourite pastry shop in the area! We’ve tried several of their cakes over time, and every single one has been fresh, beautiful, and absolutely delicious. Our longtime favourite has always been the strawberry shortcake — light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced with fresh strawberries and cream. But today we tried the canolli-misu, and wow… now it’s honestly hard to choose between the two! It was rich, creamy, and full of flavour with the perfect sweetness. If you’re looking for high-quality cakes and a bakery that never disappoints, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!

Ordered a bailey's cheesecake for pickup. I made sure it would not be frozen on the phone which I was assured it wouldnt be. When picking up the cake, I noticed the condensation on the box and the bottom of the box was ice cold... I asked the girl at the cash to make sure it was not frozen which she said it was not.... THEN when I arrived home, I noticed a huge missing piece of the bottom of the cheesecake... they even put the banner so that the front is where the missing piece is.... how is this acceptable to sell? So disappointing. Avoid this place at all cost! UPDATE: emailed the owner Joseph as requested. I was told I would get a refund as it was unacceptable they had sold me that frozen cheesecake. When I asked him how to proceed with the refund, he stopped answering me....false promises! AVOID

I ordered a birthday cake (Heavenly Berry) from this pastry shop to pick up on Friday July 11, and unfortunately it completely ruined our celebration. When I picked up the cake, I noticed there was water in the container and the cream on top looked a bit off, probably because of the way it had been thawed. When we tried to cut it, the inside completely crumbled and collapsed. It was impossible to get proper slices — the cake turned into a messy pile instead (see photos). It was very embarrassing in front of guests, and instead of enjoying the cake, we were left disappointed and frustrated. For the price and reputation of this shop, I expected a cake that would at least hold together. I hope they take quality control more seriously so no one else has to go through this on a special occasion. Update; I was contacted by the supervisor- excellent customer service care. Thank you,

I ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s 18th birthday two weeks in advance. At first, I was told they were fully booked for the pickup day, but I really appreciated how they offered suggestions and were able to accommodate my order. I went with a tall 10” (instead of 2-tier) strawberry shortcake with a simple, elegant design, and I couldn’t be happier—the cake looked beautiful (photos don’t do justice) and tasted amazing. Very pleased with the whole experience!

39$ for this!!!!! Trying to get my dad his favourite cake and this is what you get for 39$! A dry cake inside with barely no icing at all! The service was awful during father day. Used to love their cakes but the last couple of years everything just taste cheap. It’s a shame!

After I got home I saw that there was a big mold on the strawberries cake, I immediately called the store 2 times but no answer. I went back to the store and talked to the cashier about the no answer called and the mold in the cake, the girl at the reception told me that they were very busy. They ended up exchange my cake with a bigger one. When I picked the other cake for exchange, the girl at the cash told us that she is gonna bring it to the back and open the box to check, after I received the cake, one of the strawberry was pretty much obvious that it’s been replaced. The other small cake we bought tastes nice, but the service could be way friendlier. When we were trying to fix the problem (since it’s my mom’s birthday cake and everyone was expecting it so much), the other older lady at the cashier had a very negative and impatient face expression toward us when she passed by and immediately had a big smile to another customers.

Got a lemoncello cake I just loved , lite after a big meal ... But plenty of choices , and the service was just ace ! Although I don't buy a pool pizza I think you pt. Claire PPL are lucky to have such a place ! I was a lasaller where pizza is the best but now I live in South shore and well ... It's not so great ... The pt claire you should appreciate this place !¡!

The quality has been going downhill. Last time the strawberries in the shortcake had mold! This time I gave another chance and bought peach short cake, there are many black dirts on top of the cake and also in the white chocolate curls. Disgusting. Not coming back.

Ordered a fresh fruiti di bosco for a birthday celebration on May 19, 2025. When we went to pick it up, the cake looked like it had been dropped or tossed around in the van before displaying it. It was extremely disappointing. I conveyed my disappointment and asked for another cake, but they had no other fresh cake. They offered a frozen one, but it would take 6 hours to thaw out, and I needed it for consumption in about 2 hours after I picked it up, so that was not an option. We asked if they would give us a discount, but they refused. I still kept it because I was in charge of the cake and needed to bring something. The way it was handled was completely unacceptable. It was humiliating to present, especially since this is a specialty cake and not some homemade box cake. Their customer service is definitely lacking. Given the circumstances, I believe I was entitled to some kind of compensation for the inconvenience and disappointment caused. Just wanted others to know the terrible experience I had.

There are pastries, cookies, cakes... pretty much anything you want if you have a sweet tooth. For my uncle's birthday I bought the red velvet cake since it's his favourite color. The cake was fresh with many equal layers. The cream cheese icing was textbook. Not sweet and soft! Niam niam! A bit on the pricey side but I'll buy these cakes for occasions only. The cashier was kind and fast.

We have ordered a custom cake for my daughter's birthday, they did not disappoint, it was amazing!

Have had several of their cakes and cannolis in the past and guests always rave about them. This time tried the fruitti di bosco with strawberries and it was heavenly, tasted light with the perfect amount of sweetness, writing about it is making me crave it again. I also had the freshly baked tomato pizza and it was also good, I liked that the crust wasn't too thick however I still prefer the one at Cavallaro in Marche de l'ouest cause their sauce is better.

The cakes here are some of the best! Fresh, light, beautiful and delicious! Ive ordered custom cakes several times and have always been very satisfied, both with the cakes and the customer service! Worth going the distance for Lafrenaie!

This bakery failed to get a cake order done on time for a birthday party! They have issues with their email system so if you want a picture printed on a cake, I would recommend going to another bakery. Repeated emails sent with the image (5times). They called me at 8:50am on a Saturday morning, the day of my party to tell me they didn't have the image despite the fact that I had visited the bakery the day before to ensure the matter was sorted out! The cake was suppose to be ready for 11am. Extremely poor customer service! If you want to get your cake order done on time without hassles, I wouldn't recommend this bakery!

It not the first i'm buying from the brunswick location. The cakes are amazing (but presentation to give to the clients is a 0/10, ie no box, no ribbons etc), but the service quite bad. People who work there have attitudes, and never smile. When i see them they give a perception that they are forced to be there, and i'm not the only one with this opinion. if i had any questions it felt like they had a hassle to answer my inquiries.
