Made reservations, did the chef's tasting menu, and it was worth every penny. Food was delicious and an amazing combination of complementary flavors and textures. Walked away stuffed and very satisfied. Would absolutely go again for a special occasion. Was expensive but worth it.

It’s hard to exaggerate how wonderful our meals were at Les Deux Brasserie. It was near our hotel and we were looking for something other than the usual Munich Bavarian fare. Our first meal there was lunch on the beautiful patio. Great setting, fun people watching, and attentive and friendly/welcoming service. Our choices at lunch included the gazpacho, the gnocchi, and the steamed cod. All were incredibly well prepared and presented and absolutely delicious! My previous experiences with Michelin Star restaurants is that the food can be fussy and not particularly satisfying. That’s not the case at all at Les Deux! The food is incredibly delicious and satisfying. So we went back for dinner and had an equally great experience. Our server again was a young gentleman from Croatia who took great care of us. Our dinner choices included burrata salad, beef tartare, Kikok chicken, grilled St. Pierre, and the steak frites. I’d never tried beef tartar even though I enjoy very rare steak, and the beef tartar at Les Deux was a revelation. I see why so many people were ordering it. I also appreciate that you can tell that every bite of food at Les Deux is clearly sourced from the very best providers. As a fairly decent cook myself, I can tell when the ingredients in a dish are the absolute best available. And did I mention, in my opinion, Les Deux is very reasonably priced? We may never get back to Munich, but the memories of the perfect meals we had at Les Deux will remain with me. Thank you to all of the folks at Les Deux who make it happen.

Had dinner at Les Deux recently and was seriously impressed. The food was excellent — a really smart blend of French finesse with local German ingredients. The one negative is the food is a bit pricey.

I had the pleasure to had lunch at Lex Deux. All the dishes where amazing. The wine was also really good. We ate at the first floor which as a great view. You are not sitting supr close to the next guests which is a plus. The restrooms can be reached via elevator as they are down 2 floors. I can only recommend this place!

Great service and nice place to dine near marientplatz area. Foods were good, but had better ones someplace else. Overall a good place if you look for nice place to dine.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and were absolutely blown away. The flavor creations are simply little miracles. With each course, we were more and more amazed. Everything was just perfect. The sommelier, host, and service staff were all top-notch, fun, and efficient. Everyone contributed, was attentive, and showed real commitment to Les Deux. The wine (we gladly opted for the sommelier’s wine pairing) was simply fabulous. One wine was a blend of five vintages, another was my first Viognier, and the wine served with the pre-dessert was from Piedmont and had a wonderful cherry aroma. The service staff answered all our questions and were excellently informed. All in all, a real 5-star experience of the highest class. Here, 'The Bear' or 'The Taste' is truly brought to life in Munich. Nathalie Lablond is a magician who manages to nail taste, presentation, and aroma so perfectly that the price is more than justified. Thank you!

Dual french dining concept downstairs bistro and upstairs Michelin Star fine dining. Lovely atmosphere, top notch service, and amazing food, especially the sauces. Also great art. I like the photos of celebrities. I go there every time I pass through Munich. Pricey, truly excellent, romantic and well worth it. I look forward to returning. Advance reservations are a must.

I'm 21 years old & this is the best restaurant I have ever ascertained up to this point. Starting off with the atmosphere, the decor & lighting allow for a very classy & sophisticated vibe. This place is perfect for a date night or catching up with friends. It really didn't seem like a place to bring children as it was more of a mature setting. Second, the service was amazing. Our waiter was hilarious & made us so comfortable. He was complimenting us all night & referring to me as "beautiful" & "princess" . Loved the service. Lastly, & most importantly, the foooood. Exquisite! We ordered a share of appetizers, mains, dessert, & drinks & every single item exceeded our expectations. The duck dish they have on the menu is a MUST-HAVE. Every single bite gave me a glimpse of what heaven looks like. Unfortunately, i'm not from Germany so I cannot go back to this restaurant again but, 10/10 recommend this place!

Les Deux in Munich is a must for so many reasons. Sit on the patio for a casual vibe but enjoy the food from Michelin Star Chef Nathalie Leblond. We love a badass woman chef. The meal began with a delightful surprise--tomato-infused butter. Who does this? A lovely person, that's who. The oysters and sea scallops were exceptionally fresh and flavorful, highlighting the chef's expertise in seafood. Grilled cucumbers, a dish I hadn't encountered before, turned out to be an interesting and pleasant surprise. Everything about this restaurant was spot-on, and to top it all off, I found another great Old Fashioned in Germany. Put this on your list.

The five stars is mainly for impeccable service. Literally, impeccable! Super professional service, friendly, super attentive, attention to details, very pleasant to be there despite we had a really bad day from work that day. This change the whole dynamic of our mood. Food was very good especially the starters, pairing wine was excellent

After a few days of Oktoberfest and beer drinking, we decided to class up our München trip with Les Deux, our first Michelin-starred restaurant for our Euro-trip. Ha, leave it to us to come to a French-angled restaurant while in Germany. But there's beauty in the intersection of cultures, I guess. We came on a weekday night while there was a party going on in the bistro downstairs. We were quickly led upstairs to a much quieter scene, consisting of mostly business lunches, and well-to-do couples with their dogs. Wait, what? Nonetheless, we were seated right away, and we decided to do a la carte, instead of the given prix fixe menu. Our favorites: - Salmon tartare amuse bouche - Textures were awesome, and the salmon was very tender and delicious. - Bone Marrow dumplings - So rich, with the caviar on top, and the chives helped cut through the fattiness quite well. - Duck breast - Delicious, flavor-forward, and excellently plated. - Chocolate dream: Random assortment of chocolate treats, all tied together with some Bavarian cream One thing I didn't much care for was the Angus steak, with sweet potato fries. While there was nothing technically wrong with the dish itself, it just lacked any sort of innovative flavors, and I guess the only variation in plating was the fact that the fries were arranged like a haystack. Not bad in the end, but we were expecting a lot more for the dish. Service was very professional, and notably very laid-back. We were at the restaurant for about 3 hours, which was a bit long, but we never felt like we were unattended to. Prices are easily more expensive side, but the service and attention to detail are something to marvel at. Definitely a great place for a business dinner, or just a fancy dinner date. The menu, for the most part, is quite varied, and there really is something for everyone. They are incredibly attentive to the details, so if there's anything they can do for you menu-wise, they will take care of it.

Excellent food - although generally too salty. Beautiful presentation. Very good service from well trained waiters - with the exception of head-waiter in the Bistro floor who, in my opinion, does not fit the classy ambience of this restaurant. A background music would have been an improvement. Very wide selection of wine. Full bar.

Went here for my 1st Anniversary back in October 2016. Excellent service, delicious food, lovely ambiance. Presentation and pacing was excellent. I want to take those swivel chairs home with me. When you use truffles and wagyu, can't go wrong.

Excellent food, creative drinks, a little bit pricey but worth it after a long day of work or shopping. Frequent tripe here in the summer due to its quiet location in the middle of loud pedestrian streets, but nice and cosy inside during the winter.

This is a review for the Bistro on the ground level: in a nutshell, fantastic food with terrible service. I found the Bistro through the NYT article on visiting Munich. The reservation process was easy and pleasant, with an English-speaking staffer very responsive to my query. Once we got to the restaurant though, service went downhill. We were shown to a table by the door, which was drafty and close to all the smokers on the patio. When I asked if we could have another table farther inside, we were told that that table was reserved. Fine. Not five minutes later, two German-speaking guests came in without a reservation and were promptly seated at the table we requested. How did I know they didn't have a reservation? Because while I'm not comfortable speaking German extensively, I understand a lot of it. The waitress even had to ask them if they were eating or only wanted a drink. Ridiculous. Ok so they're anti-tourist. Then there was another waitress who was downright lazy in wiping tables. She didn't bother to lift the place mats; only wiping around them. She also used the same cloth to wipe seat bottoms and tables. Nice and sanitary. When two guests were seated next to us, another staffer had to pick the crumbs off the place mat from the previous diners. After that fine example of competence, the guests next to us asked for their check -- they finished first, as they only had coffee and dessert. They waited and waited and waited for about 20 minutes to get their check. They were German-speaking, but maybe had the wrong accent so were also not treated well. Lastly, it was an ordeal to pay by credit card. Even though they accept credit cards, the waitress's reaction was basically: "well it's Saturday and we're busy, so it's better if you pay by cash." Yes, whatever makes your life easier. It's a pity the service is so poor, because the the food is about as good as the service is bad. We had a duck breast and Maultaschen (basically German raviolis) for entrees, and a cheesecake and apple tart for dessert. All were delicious. I've had many Maultaschen from Stuttgart, and the ones at Les Deux were among the best. The duck breast was perfectly prepared -- juicy with crisp skin and nicely seasoned. The desserts were fantastic as well -- freshly baked and not too sweet, which suits my taste. It could have been an off day for them, but they were so consistently poor in their service that it'd be hard for me to justify going back, no matter how good the food is. And no, I don't think I'm an obnoxious Oktoberfest tourist. I actually ordered in German because I realize it's more comfortable for people to speak in their mother tongue.

We had their 5 course lunch menu and it was just soooo delicious!! The staff is very friendly and the waiter made a wine menu for us and it complimented the food in the best possible way. They absolutely deserve their Michelin Star and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody that's looking for a nice time out.
