"Les Eleveurs hotel restaurant, a landmark of Halle since 1897, has been run by the De Brouwer family since its foundation. Today, Annelies and Julian are breathing new life into their family heritage. Master Jochen Heyvaerts can be relied upon to ply you with excellent wine tips in addition to seamless service, while chef Borsy orchestrates the highly popular traditional culinary score, adding his own personal melody as he celebrates Pajottenland specialties. The extensive menu ranges from family favourites such as quenelles of pike and melt-in-the-mouth Iberico loin of pork with gherkins and crispy crackling to a bona fide tournedos Rossini. Go there your eyes closed!" - Michelin Inspector

Biggest problem is: There is no door for the bathroom (at least for room 204 we stayed). Even not a cheap door curtain, super uncomfortable. The room is facing a river which has ugly construction. This is different with the website description of "Graden view" and "courtyard view" for the 'standard double or twin room'. In general, things that do not match with the website descriptions: the room 204 doesn't feel like 25 square meters, it felt smaller. On the photos online, there are doors on the bathroom. Is room 204 the only one which doesnot have a door for bathroom but we were charged the same (155euro), or does the website only show the photos from a best room and hiding the facts for other rooms? Breakfast was great. Restaurant looks cozy. Actually we booked this hotel for the restaurant but my fault that I Didnot think we need to make reservation too early. When we asked for reservation on the morning of our travel day (by sending message in booking), we did not hear anything back and still not. When we checked in, we asked about dinner but was told there was no table available, which was a pity. The breakfast was convincingly good, so we might try the restaurant next time when we stop by (and book early), but we will not stay in the hotel again due to the reasons listed above. The sound situation is also bad. There is a train rack along the river, and train sometimes horn when passing by, including 6 am. Hotel is in an old house with bad sound insulation doesn't help, can hear kids jumping upstairs. Bed is too soft. All these do not help for good sleeping quality.

Didn’t stay at the hotel but patroned its restaurant for dinner. The decor is minimal but very cosy & inviting. We had the chef’s choice. The food was good and the service was great. Tables are limited, so reservations are highly recommended so you won’t be disappointed. Parking is also very limited so you may have to park along the roadside and walk to the hotel/restaurant.

A great hotel conveniently located near the train station. Sometimes a bit confusing as it is located in old renovated buildings. What's the absolute best though is the food. A refined restaurant for dinners and amazing breakfast options.

Great experience staying at Les Eleveurs in Halle. Julian and his staff were on top of their game. We had a nice quiet room in the courtyard and were treated to a lovely breakfast including some amazing coffee cake and fabulous ‘budding’. Halle is a charming town on a canal with several nice restos and bars in the main square and in the pedestrianised centre. It’s only 15 mins to Brussels centre so give it a go!

This dining venue is just outside the city centre with private parking in front of the restaurant. The food was very good and combined some traditional dishes with some of out of the box twists. Excellent and affordable wine selection from non traditional wine houses, regions and grapes. Staff was very professional and helpful. There a bit of a macho vibe with lots of personality and show going on, you love it or you hate it, but it’s clearly part of the restaurant’s character. We had a great evening.

I visited this hotel for 1 night right after the reopening after the Coronacrisis as||I had to be in the city to visit family and didn’t want to stay over at theirs just yet. ||||Its location is ideal , just a few metres from the station (Halle) and in 9’ you can be in Brussels - Midi for Eurostar or Thalys connections. ||||The welcome was friendly and I got to choose my breakfast so that it could be delivered to my room the next morning. The buffet was still closed due to the corona virus. ||||The room was pleasant albeit slightly dated. The bathroom was modern. I had to look for power sockets near the bed and found them behind the bed frame. ||||The breakfast was very nice as per photo. I could also have opted for fruit salad as an extra. ||||Overall , good location and friendly welcome with a nice room.

My last visit was years ago when Sophie Dumont was chef and I remember that we were rather disappointed. This time I went for lunch with a friend on Wednesday. There were only 4 other guests. Service was very friendly, the 3 course menu very good. With a glass of bubbles, a bottle of bordeaux and coffee the bill was 148 €. It was worth the money.
