The Best Restaurants in Outremont, Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Now with a total of six restaurants in Montreal and beyond, this part-French, part-Québécois bistro has evolved from one sidewalk-style brasserie into a small empire. While their restaurant atop Place Ville Marie may be more of an attention-seeker, the original location on Bernard is still well-known for its sizeable terrasse, which gets nothing short of over-crowded once the warmer weather hits. Lunch, dinner, brunch and kids’ menus are all available, with generally comforting items such as tartares, grilled fish, short ribs and bavette taking the cake." - Daniel Bromberg

11 Great ‘Parent-Friendly’ Restaurants in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Located on the 44th floor of Au Sommet Place Ville Marie, any hard-to-please relative would be more than happy with the panoramic views and fresh-pressed mimosas at Les Enfant Terrible’s downtown location, with a similar comforting Québécois menu to the Outremont original. This location stumbled hard in its initial reviews after opening in 2016, but has since got its shop in order." - Tim Forster

Google
I had an absolutely lovely experience at this restaurant today. I started with the oysters, which were beautifully presented—briny and perfectly shucked. For my main, I had the steak frites, and it was just what I was hoping for: tender, flavorful steak cooked exactly to my liking, paired with golden, crispy fries that were addictive in the best way. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear that quality and care go into everything they do here. I’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing friends next time!

Google
Great atmosphere, oysters were great and salad too. Steak frites has a nice charcoal flavour but on the tougher side, salmon has little overcooked but flavour was good.

Loved this place! The mac n cheese was creamy and flavorful—comfort food at its best. Desserts were the highlight—absolutely delicious. The ambience was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal.

Has always been one of my favourite restaurants, even now that it has moved to the 1st floor of PVM. We were seated at a spacious booth right next to the windows. The restaurant was well heated, very cozy. Always clean. Our waitress was solicitous and pleasant. We went fur lunch/brunch on Saturday morning. I ordered the tuna tartare à l'asiatique with the fries ($35). The tuna was very fresh. My son had the big breakfast dish, La Totale for $21. He liked it and I found it was good value for your money. It came with three pieces of toast but they could have put a bit more butter on the toast. He would have preferred more than just two bacon slices in the dish. My daughter enjoyed the Shanghai salad ($18). It was decently sized. It was a bit spicy but she liked it. If you are a big eater, you can order bread (which comes piping hot with butter on the side and no extra charge). One thing that really stood out was the care they take for allergies. 5 stars for that!! The waitress and the manager (not sure?) were super attentive. They even brought me a different sauce to use with my tartare since I could not eat the ponzu sauce that usually comes with the tuna tartare.

I went there this afternoon with my family to celebrate my graduation, and we had a great experience. We were served by a gentleman named Simon, who was incredibly patient and recommended some amazing drinks. Definitely recommend this place!

Daniel Woo

Google
Very nice dinner experience, the entres were visually stunning and delicious. Drinks were well made, although the mojito was a bit on the sweeter side. The braised beef was a tad bit dry but overall still enjoyable. Last but certainly not the least, was the service. Staff was very attentive and friendly. I really appreciate the small cake they brought us for the birthday event, it made the night that much more memorable! Top notch service.

Google
The employees were helpful and engaging. They were interested in us as people and customers. They had a sense of humor which enhanced our evening. The food had sophisticated flavors, was perfectly prepared and tasted amazing. William remembered us from our first visit, even the drinks we had and how we liked them. Camille was very attentive, friendly and confident. We will recommend the restaurant to anyone we know who will be stopping in Montreal. Thank you for a great experience! The three sisters from North Carolina and Minnesota.

Google
Great food and service! Even though tables were close, the acoustics were very good. Food was great too. Try the shepherds pie!

Yelp
This was my first meal upon landing in Montreal, and it did not disappoint! My partner and I chose to split a few appetizers and steak frites. French Onion Soup - so rich, and the cheese pulled perfectly! It was a very large portion as well. Salmon tartare - tasted very fresh, and enjoyed the caviar in it too. Came with fewer chips than I was expecting, but honestly it's so good, you don't even need the chips Steak frites - very generous portion!! The steak was prepared to our liking and the fries were delightfully crispy and salty. The sauce was super flavorful, elevating the dish further. The space itself was a bit hard to find (you have to take multiple elevators), but it's very chic/dimly lit. Service was friendly and most of the staff speaks English, which was very helpful since I've found I have quite a bit of work to do on my french! Great first meal in Montreal and set a perfect tone for our trip. Would recommend!

Yelp
The biggest draw to this restaurant is certainly the view! Unfortunately, there was a snowstorm when we dined so we didn't get the view others are raving about. Average food and average wine selection. The Caesar salad was big enough to share and the burger was well seasoned. The desserts looked fabulous but we had to head to the airport so we didn't get a chance to try. We came during a break in service which led to a slightly delayed start to service but the servers were communicative on what was happening. The bar is large with plenty of seating. Definitely make reservations if possible. Finding the restaurant can be difficult since there are two elevators to get there, but I felt it was well marked once you found the first elevator.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! Great presentation and location. Service was great. No diet drink options. Side salad was good but boring.

Yelp
A local friend took us to this restaurant on our last night in Montreal. The view was incredible. We had a corner table which gave us great views. The service was nice, but kind of slow. The food was all delicious, we started with onion rings that came with the dill sauce, and that was terrific. I had a hanger steak with fries, and the steak was very flavorful, I also ordered an old-fashioned and once I got it, it was delicious but it took forever and the second one that I ordered when my entrée was delivered. I didn't get it until after I finished my meal. For dessert we had some thing it was like a maple bread pudding, and it was very good, although very sweet if you want an impressive place to take a guess or enjoy of you. You should come here.

Yelp
Another stop on our adventure in Montreal due to a delayed flight and it was a GEM! I'm so glad we found this awesome rooftop. The drinks were perfect, the views were great and the service was on point. Casual enough yet classy - a perfect atmosphere. We stayed for a few hours and just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves and it was perfect.

Yelp
Ate here today for dinner with my family while visiting Montreal for the first time. Before entering the restaurant, it took awhile for us to look for and take the elevator up to the restaurant. I got the flank steak with poutine and then we had all tried and different meals together as a family. The service was also really good and attentive that all had tasted great and delicious. I couldn't agree more! The ambiance of the restaurant was good too that it has good vibes. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time when I visit Canada someday maybe in the future! :)

Yelp
Great service, fantastic view of city. Usually take tartar entrée of which both beef and salmon are excellently prepared and presented. For main meal my favorite is the steak frites but it is served simply with butter, no pepper sauce or spices. Still recommended.

Yelp
Overall the restaurant was fine. Making a reservation was easy and i appreciated that given our group was big. It did take a while to order and get our food but i assume the restaurant had limited staff on a Sunday night. Overall would recommend.

Daniel T.

Yelp
First we'll start with the service Donald was not the best, but also not the worst. He never was checking in on us and when he was we could sense a little bit of attitude, but whatever we move on maybe he was having a rough day. What makes me give this place a 1 star is the fact i ordered their fried chicken burger and one bite in it tasted funny. I thought not much of it since maybe it could've been the sauce or something but next bite in the chicken was COMPLETELY RAW!!!!! unacceptable!!!! That sandwich could've potentially given me salmonella or something if i kept eating it. I did call over a waiter which i didn't get the name of but he was kind enough to get me another one made but after that I rather not eat.

Yelp
This place should be renamed Les Service Terribles. To replicate my experience, and save $9.78 CAD, walk to the top of Mont Royal with a friend and take some photos while your friend completely ignores you. Update: I contacted management per their below request, without reply.

Yelp
The place was a bit confusing to get to when you first arrive because it is inside the building and you have to take 2 separate elevators to get to the restaurant. It is the highest floor of the building and the view is AMAZING! The food was great and came in a timely manner, plus the staff works fast and is very accommodating to requests. They also have this cute boomerang camera near the cost racks, which is great for when you are out with friends as you can send yourself the photo after you take it! Came here for my birthday last year and for my friend's birthday this year Best advice: GET THE PUDDING CHOMEUR, you will NOT regret it

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick bite and a drink. The kids menu leaves much to be desired. I think most picky eaters (my son included) didn't find much to eat on it. He opted for the chorizo "Pogos" but didn't really enjoy them... I had the Chicken Paillard, served with veggies and labneh. It was quite tasty. It was, however very pricy, at $27 dollars a plate. My husband ordered fettuccine with salmon and capers. He enjoyed the meal, however he said there were too many capers and it made the dish extra salty. His dish was also $27 dollars. The view of Montreal is gorgeous. We couldn't enjoy the terrace at it was closed (we visited in October).

Yelp
Came here 2 years ago and it was amazing back then, quality is no longer matching its fame Ordered those food below : Burger - meat look to be expired meat, a bit sour Poutine- worst poutine I ever had , fries are saggy, cheese hardly any Pasta - not bad not great , suppose they cannot screw this up May be we picked the wrong food to have but a few are basic item and they reflect bad quality control that they start serving stale and expired meat

Yelp
We walked in on a busy Saturday night with no hopes of getting a table. The hostess was kind enough to get us a table 30 mins before the kitchen closes. I recommend making a timely reservation especially if you are planning to go between Thursday-Saturday during summer time. The view is absolutely spectacular with downtown's high rise buildings on one side and the beautiful old Montreal on the other. The cocktail menu has some good options. My husband went for the Terrible Margarita which had a hint of heat in it and I went for the classic Moscow Mule. Both drinks were good enough for us. The menu has a few vegetarian friendly items and the server was kind enough to check with the kitchen and make some adjustments for vegetarian replacements. The food was very well presented and delicious. We ordered a demi burrata and replaced the anchovies pesto with chimichhuri sauce along with the roasted cauliflower. Both the dishes had such unique flavors and the ingredients tasted so fresh! I had very low expectations for the vegetarian options but they surely proved me wrong. I recommend the restaurant if you are looking to enjoy delicious food with stunning views of the city of Montreal. I will definitely go back to have that lip smacking roasted cauliflower.

Yelp
Disappointed. We have been there 2 times before, and last night was our last time. Food was awful. Our waitress did not seem they wanted to be working, extremely rude. The only good thing about this place is the view. Horrible experience.
google avatar

Nicole K.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious cuisine, excellent (and very kind) staff, unique and delicious cocktails, and one of the coolest views you can get! This place was a total gem and we can't wait to return!
google avatar

Yelp
So my feeling about this particular restaurant as you come here for the view, not necessarily the cuisine. The view and the drinks were wonderful my steak tartare left something to be desired.
google avatar

Jim L.

Yelp
Amazing views of Montreal from the 44th floor. Cocktails were delicious. The shepherds pie was the best I've ever had and the Atlantic cod also wonderful. And the chocolate mousse was decadent. Despite being full of diners, our waiter was delightful and everything came out quickly.

Anne-Christine A.

Yelp
Service is terrible. Waited about 1 hour for the food to get there. Sat at the bar and waiters consistently ignored me. People who came after me ate before. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Matthew B.

Yelp
Great view, excellent food. Service and price. Take the elevator to the 44th floor and enjoy panoramic views of montreal.

Sixiang P.

Yelp
My experience matches your name: terrible. This terrible does not point to your good view, but your general hostile atmosphere to Asians. When your headwaiter arranged a table for us, a white gentle man seemed not happy with a group of asian neighbours, then he asked us to move away. Then came your headwaiter, and she fully cooperated with this white gentleman and requested us to go. Since this is my friend's birthday and we don't want to cause trouble, so we move. So, my suggestion is, for all Asian customers, if you wish to taste what the flavour of 'racist' is, Les Enfants Terribles is a best place for you. I know the owner would sometimes read the comments and request emails to do some so called 'investigation '. This time I will do you a favour: things happened at 8:30 pm on 23rd May 2023.

Amol D.

Yelp
Great food, excellent service. The views of the city at night are well worth the visit.
google avatar

Matt A.

Yelp
For this QUEST we decided to visit on a day it never rains, given that the view here is the most important part...and what a view it is! If vertigo is not an issue for you, you must visit at least once. The city highlights are all in view from the top of 1 place Ville-Marie.

Jin D.

Yelp
Food was okay. It wasn't top quality for the price. It's a maze to get up there. If you are not seated near the window, it's difficult to see the view of Montreal. However, it is definitely pretty. Desserts were good. Not too sweet compare to US desserts. Staffs were friendly.
google avatar

Justine S.

Yelp
5 Star view but maybe 3.5 stars for the rest. It's a Les Enfants Terribles like any other. The menu is the same and the food tastes the same. I've never eaten anything here that was amazingly delicious but I've had decent meals for the price. I always find the prices a bit high but here it makes sense given the ambiance. I think this is just such a great location for a restaurant. Brunch, business lunch, drinks, or dinner with friends/significant other. It's perfect for any occasion. Make sure you reserve in advance if you want a good table.

Nivetha S.

Yelp
The ambiance at this place was super nice and cozy. The view was super nice as you see the entire city ! As for the food, I'd rate it alright there's nothing amazing especially for the price that you pay The hibiscus tea was super duper bland , it was like drinking bitter water so I asked to add some agave syrup to make it sweeter French onion soup was amazing !!! It's a must try The mini pogos were good but so small and not worth the price The chicken dish was mediocre, some kind of carb would've been good even if it were mashed potatoes or something.. flavour was good though Ribs were apparently good too
google avatar

Yelp
Unfortunately, it was raining during my best friend's bachelorette brunch so we weren't able to enjoy the view, but it cleared up towards the end of our meal so we were able to see a portion of the city landscape. The restaurant is on the 44th floor and has floor to ceiling windows (plus an outdoor patio area) that overlooks the city of Montreal. Large party reservations were easily made through their website (we had a party of 11!). Our server was patient when handling our large party orders and always made sure our drinks were refilled. Their brunch drinks include mimosas, spirtzes, bloody marys, bloody caesars, and a coffee liquor drink. They also have mocktails for non-drinkers as well! Their menu consists of typical brunch items such as french toast, egg, bagels. They also have breakfast poutine (a must try while you're in Canada!). The food came out in a sporadic order but we all got the orders right. The food wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but you're here for the view and the experience.

Yelp
The underground parking is only $5 if you tell the parking attendant that you are going to Enfants Terribles. The entrance is at McGill College and Cathecart street. We booked through OpenTable then called in to specify a window seat. We were seated on the far side of the restaurant and turns out it was perfect cause it gives a good view of the Grand Roue AND the Bonsecours Basin--where the Natrel fireworks were happening later that evening! A happy coincidence!! A reservation is typically 2 hours so we ate very slowly to stay until 8pm for the fireworks. This is the time where you want the service to be slow but in our case, it turned out to be pretty fast. Our drinks and appetiser arrived within minutes of us ordering. We took the two mocktails--the mojito and joie de vie. The mojito was alright and the joie de vie was flavorful. We went for the roasted cauliflower and it was goood :) Our server offered to cut it for us but only after I snapped a pic, of course! The cauliflower was nicely roasted around the edges and had a really warm roasted smell and flavor. The squid ink added the savory component. We cleaned the plate with our forks! I think this dish is unique and worth a try. For the mains, we had their AAA burger and the beef tartar with a side of fries. The burger had a nice grill flavor to it, fairly small. I liked the fries--they're thin with skin and not overly greasy and served with a side of mayo. We had the pudding chomeur and it was sweet and good but best for sharing. Also tried the pear crumble but I found some of the pears undercooked so they were still a bit hard. And our supper ended with a bird's eye view of the fireworks in the Old Port. Overall, the view was great with the fireworks, the service was good and the food was quite alright! An enjoyable date night.

Yelp
It's been a long time since my last post Yelpers! Per our hostess at the hotel, my flying buddy and I chose the restaurant she recommended. Wow.....such a pleasant place to relax with an outstanding dinner. I picked a Montreal specialty called Poutine. It was very tasty, especially after a somewhat stressful flight through some very harsh flying weather! I had the waitress chose my wine, mainly because I'm unable to read French. Now still being new to wine and developing a palate it was very satisfying. I would recommend coming here to anyone who enjoys fine dining with a cozy atmosphere! Cheers Yelpers! 11 hrs later edit- I had to provide 5 stars. After reading multiple reviews on this place, seeing management so active thanking patrons for their reviews is exceptional. If a poor showing is rated it really appears that this establishment cares enough to apologize publicly and also to connect with the Yelper to provide a solution for a return visit!!

Yelp
At the top of one of Downtown Montreal's tallest buildings lays Les Enfants Terrible. On a clear night, you can see for miles in any direction from this rooftop restaurant and bar. Full bar featuring top shelf liquors and one of a kind mixed cocktails. The food is spectacular and each bite draws you in more. Whether it be for you, a party of two, or more, there is something for all to partake in here. The bartenders are good. The servers and service, were a little slow. But the atmosphere is enchanting and energetic. There is also an observatory at this location. I believe the tickets are $20-21. If you buy a ticket and eat or drink at the restaurant, you will receive a $9 credit on your restaurant tab. Worth the visit. It is quite the treat. Bon Apetit.

Yelp
Totally can't believe I never wrote my review for this place. No matter, it was such a memorable experience that it still feels like it was just this past summer, not already over a year and a half ago! Food itself is a mediocre 3 stars especially given the price, but the view n the service bumps this to 4 stars for me, for sure! We came for an anniversary dinner June 24 2018. They sat us near a window despite being so last minute on a holiday (our anniversary is good ol St Jeanny B day so it's a pain in the butt finding places that are open). We had a spectacular view and we even got to see fireworks going off in all parts of the city and south shore it was fabulous! We both ordered the same thing because there was all of about 10 options (I may be lowballing it, but only slightly) and things like ribs (covered in sauce) didn't seem like a very smart, nor appropriate, choice for an anniversary dinner. So we both went with the Caesar salad entrée with their steak n fries plate. The Caesar 'cuz we had heard it was not to be missed here, those reviews and all the people who say that are absolutely right! Do get this! 4.5 stars for the caesar. So much so, that me n my bf both decided our next meals here will just be the meal size caesar with added grilled chicken instead of bothering with anything else. The steak unfortunately was more tra la la ingredients with a very meh outcome. Herb crusted butter sounded fancy and looked appealingly sinful but didnt really do much for the flavour. The cooking was as requested, it even had a nice crispy slight char outer edge, which I love, but the flavour was just .. ' yah alright '. I make a MEAN steak at home w just simple Montreal Steak Spice (bien sur!) and cheap a$$ cuts of steak! So, if ur guna veer off Mtl traditional, with a better cut of beef on top of it, well then u better bring a better A-game than that, guys. It seemed like a small cut for the price but we were so bored and tired of chewing by the end it was more than sufficient portion. The fries were fine, nothing you can't find in a million places in Mtl. I honestly can't remember if we partook in dessert, but I do know our red wine was spot on. Service was sweet and it was a beautiful romantic dinner that I would repeat again, though just stick with the salad. Stick with the salad? I can't believe I just said that..

Yelp
We had a wonderful time and an amazing meal! We made reservations and had a beautiful table by the window. We ordered appetizers and a few pasta dishes and ate family style, which they seemed to have no issue with. The wait staff was attentive and helpful and even took photos for us. This place has an amazing view and is a great place to celebrate a special event. Of all the things we ordered, the carpaccio was amazing, and the mac n cheese and the Caesar salad are the standouts to me. The carbonara was good, but not as good as the mac n cheese, which had kale and prosciutto- absolutely amazing! Get the large- it is even better the next day :) Definitely make a reservation online!

Yelp
PRO TIP: I came alone and was able to get a spot at the bar but for two or more who want to get a table, highly recommend to reserve a table no matter if it's weekend or weekday because it's a popular spot. The food is pretty good and then there's the view of Montreal that you can't get much anywhere else. Got the lamb shank and poutine. The lamb came right off the bone and was cooked well enough that you get the flavor of the lamb but it w asn't too too gamey. The poutine was standard and the service at the bar was pretty good. Go into place ville marie and find the elevator with their logo; it brings you all the way up, switch elevators then go up again. Overall I would come back here again, would recommend because of the good service too!

Yelp
This place was the absolute BEST. It was my first time coming here and I was utterly surprised with the presentation and service of this place. Located on the top floor of a RBC building, this restaurant offers a beautiful view of the city along with a great variety of different food. The plates are huge and filling, the prices are beyond reasonable and the waitresses are super helpful and nice. It was super clean which I really appreciated and they also had a large variety of different drinks. They close at 10 but if you are already in the building they'll allow you to finish your food with no rush which I was really grateful for. This place gets my highest recommendation and is now my favorite dinner place in Montreal.

Yelp
My girlfriends brought me here to celebrate my birthday. Thankfully, there was a sign and a specific elevator for this restaurant. Elevator took me all the way to summit at 44th floor. When, I arrived at the restaurant; it was packed. The hostess brought to my table. I was glad to be seated by the window. The view of Montreal was spectacular from up here. Our waitress came by to take our drinks order; I was little weirded out by their uniform. It is such fancy restaurant, and they are wearing sweatpants and sweatshirts... seriously? She was very nice though. I had got grilled shrimps with watermelon and feta cheese as an entree. What a delightful dish. It was refreshing, and the spices on shrimps were dancing in my mouth. Then I ordered the burger since I read in Montreal blog, that Les Enfants Terribles have an amazing burger, but I was disappointed with it. It was over cooked that I can taste the burns mostly. In the end, I got the the pudding au chommeur, perfect way to end my meal. In the end, we went to observatory section, it was nice to take pics of beautiful crispy night of Montreal.

Yelp
We came for the MTLaTABLE. First of all the view is literally out of this world! We got a table in the middle of the restaurant on the high table (bar) it was perfect! Since we really got to enjoy the entire 360 view! The service was so fun and amazing! Patrick if you're reading this you are awesome and I hope to always get YOU when we come by! I think the menu was great! Very simple and straightforward. For starters we had the beet salad & warm goat cheese - it was honestly nothing special. Then we had the warm burrata with artichoke and it almost was like an artichoke dip! It was so delicious! I'm still craving it Then for the main course we had the beef cheeks- very tender & delicious with some side of vegetables that were cooked perfectly! And so tasty! VEGETABLES tasty?!?! YUP. And then we had the mushroom ravioli pasta! It was good ,the pasta was perfectly cooked! For dessert we had the pudding chomer and let me tell you.. THAT was the best pudding chomer I ever had in my life! Since the service was a bit slow and they kinda forgot about us at some point they sent us a extra little something which I though was so sweet! We never complained or anything so the fact that they took it upon themselves was very professional and because of that gesture and the view obviously I would definitely be coming back , it's very important when a restaurant treats their clientele with this kind of love! I'm all for it. The wine list is great! We took a Chilean white wine .. it was just overall s great experience and I'm excited to be coming back to try their set menu!

Yelp
1 star for the view, 1 star for the drinks. Salad was bland, burger also bland: no seasoning AND you're not allowed to choose your temperature. They only cook it well done; that should have been a red flag there NOT to order. I wanted to at least eat the dessert but the brownie in the sundae was definitely processed packaged brownies. Poor quality food. But beautiful view ‍

Yelp
The views are stellar; the food was just OK. The service was somewhere in between as well - seems like it took a while for them to come back to the table and we sat with drinks empty for a bit. we ordered an appetizer and snacked on it for a while and finally had to ask where our food was when our waiter finally made his way back over to the table (the order was two salads....). Turns out, since we weren't done with the app, they weren't brining the food out. So we went ahead and requested that they do. We sat there so long, people who came in 30-45 minutes after us were finished & leaving before we even got our food. Probably lost in translation, but FYI if you eat there and want to continue snacking on an app with dinner.

Yelp
Going to a restaurant for the first time is like a first date, no idea what to expect -may be a hit or miss. The second date follows when things go really well or you want to give it another chance. This was my second date with the restaurant: Les Enfants Terribles for a weekend brunch (first date was for dinner ). With the current construction going on in PVM- finding the restaurant was a whole other ordeal. When we got to the elevators, a sign read "staff Christmas party closing at 2 pm". I was a bit frazzled since our reservation was at 1 pm- an hour to eat seems rushed. The hostess then mention they wouldn't be taking any new reservations but people already dining would have until 4 pm to finish. Phewf. Crowded as always and not much of a skyline feel to this place. We were quickly served with menus. There wasn't a lot of options for a brunch menu to select from ranging from 10-14$. A very ordinary menu. I opted for a traditional breakfast at 11$ that came with a choice of bacon or sausage, 2 eggs, bread, potatoes and morsels of fruit. Presentation was not appealing. The bread was a toasted sourdough bread - that was really hard to eat because it was so tough. I had to down my mint tea to move it down, it was so dry. I do have to highlight service was excellent and quick. I was content that with tax and tip - it came out to 15$ (one of my cheapest meals). But I was not happy with my meal. As for my second date- I think this is where it ends. Unless there is some serious changes to the menu - I don't see this place being anywhere near one of Montreal's top restaurants.

Yelp
The view is really, really worth it. We went today and the weather was beautiful. It was a little windy and chilly to sit outside, so we went for a table next to the windows. The menu is without surprises, similar to what you would find at restaurants where the view is the main attraction (e.g. Ciel! Bistro-Bar in Quebec City). We ordered fried calamari, Signature Caesar salad, Chakchouka 2 Eggs and Bénés Mer. The service was excellent, and the coffee/food arrived fairly quickly without a hitch. Everything was very nicely presented, with good sized portions. The food was good without been excellent. The tomatoes in the Shakshuka needed more simmering time, as they were still watery and unidimensional in flavor. The bread was very good, and great with the eggs! The Caesar salad was perhaps the most difficult dish to eat for a very technical reason: the leaves were huge, and a lot of knife/fork work was necessary to avoid getting dressing all over the face. The flavor of the fried calamari was very good, especially with the sauce. The smoked salmon went great with the Eggs Benedict. In sum, really beautiful view that will impress visitors and locals alike. Food becomes secondary.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place! If you've never been here, you may get confused on how to get up to the resto liked I did. There's an elevator specifically for Les Enfants Terribles. You need to take it to go all the way up then get off to grab another one to keep going up. When you get off there was a nice lady who greeted us and showed us to the bar. The view is stunning! So beautiful. You see all of Montreal from up there. Great for date night, girls night out or happy hour with colleagues. We sat at the bar had a couple of drinks and was skeptic about ordering anything cause I've had heard mixed reviews about their food. In the end I was hungry and the alcohol was starting to hit so decided to try the chorizo pogos and French fries and they were awesome! The pogos, especially, were the best. So light yet crispy and very flavorful. Now all I want to do is go back to try more things. If you haven't had the change to try this place out, I highly recommend it, and if for whatever reason you don't like the food or wtv, go for the view!

Yelp
Come here for the view....... Food and services was good but you come here for drinks and the view. I would visit again.

Yelp
We had a great time at Les Enfant. The guy who welcomed and served us is very patient and nice. Absolutely a good waiter. Service at les enfants is always good. We spent 80 dollars for 2 persons for food. Including 2 glasses of wine and deserts. For me the price is reasonable since the restaurant is set at the top of Montreal, and has a great view to the city. Food is delicious. We ordered the homemade pudding and salmon, which are recommended by the waiter, absolutely a wise and tasty choice. Overall, lovely experience at les Enfant. We enjoyed the view of Montreal.

Yelp
We were really excited to eat here since we were planning to visit the 360° Observatory on the 46th floor. The restaurant itself was situated on the 44th floor and had a beautiful patio space overlooking the city. It was bright and sunny so we decided to grab a seat on the patio. Our server was very prompt and patient as we inquired about different menu items. I ordered the spaghetti calamari and chorizo. We were served bread and butter while they prepared our dishes. I have to say, this was a really delicious dish. I enjoyed the creaminess of the pasta from the carbonara sauce and the egg yolk. The pieces of calamari were quite tender and the chorizo was plentiful in the dish. I love the food here and the spectacular view!

Yelp
Came across this resto as we were staying at the Fairmont across the street. Read a review that it had amazing blueberry donuts, which swayed our decision to try Sunday brunch. Slightly disappointed that they don't actually serve these. Located in Place Ville Marie on the 44th floor - stunning views of Montreal but I would recommend making a reservation and requesting a window table prior to dining. Unfortunately we walked in without a reservation and the hostesses were rude and snobby, particularly one. We were given a high top table near the front entrance and were told that the entire restaurant was booked up for brunch. Our party consisted of 1 child and 1 baby, in which this hostess was happy to seat the baby on the floor without a high chair. Not very accommodating. It was difficult to not notice that there had been an empty table by the window with 2 high chairs available a few tables over from us... which stayed vacant the entire time we were there. Regardless of the crappy welcome, the food combined with the atmosphere was quite nice. The service for the remainder of the experience was good. It is definitely on the pricier side but would still recommend at least once. Roasted cauliflower was a unique dish with squid ink aioli - would recommend. Breakfast poutine was pretty good but not amazing. Chocolate-banana waffles were also good, but not amazing. Four stars for the experience. We were also able to head out to the observatoire after brunch, which was really nice.

Yelp
I really wish I could say something positive about my experience there but I have to say it as it happened. Had a reservation for a group of 12 for noon, they began taking our orders at 12:30ish (I ordered a beef tartar which comes with a salad plus fries - sold separately). I finally got my beef tartar around 1:30 (one hour later) which I had time to finish while I was still waiting for the fries, had to ask the waiter about them as he apparently had forgotten about us.... I received the fries around 1:40 had to eat quickly because you know, I had to get back to work... And of course, I never had the salad :-/ Then came the time for the bills, they charged us for the salads many of us never received: The whole billing process was very confusing. There was nothing spectacular about the food, I had better tartars... As per the view, it is very nice but it's kinda part of my daily routine. The main reason we wanted to try this place was to enjoy a great meal and have a good time at a restaurant which is located two seconds away from our office (lucky us we thought) ... I know that they have just opened, but if you choose this location, under this franchise, you do know how it works, right? Anyway, I guess that we won't be going back there anytime soon.

Yelp
Just wow! They could charge an extra 5$ per head because of the view and it wouldn't hurt their attendance. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Going to the restaurant for the first time I had really high expectations from everything I kept hearing. Waitress was nice and welcoming. Waters/drinks came at a good speed. Food took a little long but overall it was okay. The food was VERY average. We ordered the pork ribs Good sauce on the ribs, tangy but sweet. Cold slaw was sour a little with an odd taste at the end. Fries were just regular fries. Fish and chips were okay. Crispy on the outside but lacked a little salt. And fries Again average and cold slaw odd taste at the end. My Mac and cheese was also very average. They cheapened out on the crispy crust which is a huge part, barely any bacon and it was lacking in taste. I had to add the bbq sauce from the pork ribs to give it some flavour. The breakfast poutine was pretty good. Good ratio of pulled pork to potatoes and good amount of sauce. Also took the healthy special which is just a yogurt parfait with fruit. It's a great location, although with all the construction happening it was a little hard to get too but not their fault. In summer it's 100% a great view! Overall it was okay. Not sure if I would go back to eat.

Yelp
What a wonderful view, breathtaking! If you are a tourist or simply want one of Montreal's best view, here it is! Apart from the view, the food at "Les Enfants terrible" was never really good. Every time I go to them it's because I have friends wanting to go there. If was up to me, I would pass. If have been to the one in Ile-des-Soeurs and Outremont. This one only confirms that there are all the same, average quality food. This time, my hamburger was burned (meat overcooked and black). The fries were ok. Would come back for a drink and the view only with friends visiting from outside Montreal.

Yelp
Someone suggested meeting here for lunch on a Saturday and since I've never been here, I decided to give them a try after checking out their website. To get to Les Enfants Terribles, you have to go to what I consider the RBC area/section of Place Ville Marie. There are signs within the main PVM complex so it is almost impossible to get lost. Once you get to the RBC area/section of Place Ville Marie, you take the elevators, get out of the elevators and take another elevator to get up to the floor where Les Enfants Terribles is located. We were asked if we had a reservation and we mentioned that we didn't and we were asked if we had an issue with sitting at the bar. We didn't so we were seated immediately. I ordered the fish & chips while the person that I was with ordered a fruit salad. I found the fish and chips to be very good. The fries were the type of fries that I liked (cut potatoes and didn't seem like they were purchased pre-cut from a grocery store). The fruit salad looked tasty as well. The washroom/toilet was relatively clean and well maintained. It is located outside the restaurant where you have to go past the elevator. After eating, we went to the outside to take a look at the view and take a few pictures. To prevent accidents or possibly jumpers, the entire area is enclosed behind glass so pictures don't really show an unobstructed view of the city as the windows weren't "crystal clean" on the day that we went due to the weather (but pictures were still nice) Going to and leaving the restaurant, I found that the elevator can get very crowded which was a minor inconvenience.
