We had the pleasure of experiencing the full six-course menu, which offered a well-balanced array of vegetable, meat, and fish dishes. They were flexible in adapting and changing out certain dishes based on our preferences.
Some memorable highlights included the corn bread with piment d’Espelette, the ris de veau, and the pigeonneau. The raspberry dessert served as an excellent palate cleanser, and the fluffy madeleines, fresh from the oven, were a delightful end to the meal.
There were a couple of minor issues during our visit. There were some mosquitoes earlier in the evening. The wine selection discussion with the sommelier felt somewhat awkward, and the service became a bit lax towards the end, with our glasses not being refilled.
Despite these small blips, the atmosphere was lovely in the alfresco seating, even as a storm was brewing.
I’d recommend this restaurant if you’re seeking an experience with traditional flavors and a focus on local produce.
