Les Gentianettes Hôtel Restaurants & SPA - The Originals Relais

One of the very best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. We chose a Mountain View room and half board. Both breakfast and dinner were wonderful every day of our week long stay, an excellent range of food including regional cuisine. Our room was very comfortable with a balcony and good view. All the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The EV charger was a bonus for us-thank you! The hotel is a lovely alpine style, spotlessly clean, in a quiet location in the centre of the pretty village and very close to ski lifts and many other activities.

We had demi-pension at the hotel. The room and common areas were all clean and comfortable. Most special was nightly dinners- We stayed 7 nights and enjoyed a wide variety of exquisitely prepared food. The chief is superb!

Totally relaxed environment and hotel. You feel no-hurry at all. Hotel, romm, parking all very well taken care off. Authentic decoration, yet still modern.||

Fantastic service from start to finish. Attentive and personal. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. In my humble opinion the surroundings and atmosphere of the restaurant is one of the best in the valley. Modern yet in keeping with the traditional savoyarde feel. Excellent wine list and Menus. Will certainly be back again having only discovered this for the first time now

If you are an experienced traveler you know very well what 3, 4or 5 stars means.|This hotel is not a 4 stars as it fails at 2 major points as far as hospitality:|- the service is very poor: empty reception, the personnel( even the lady owner) improperly dressed for their function, and the ATTITUDE is unbelievably RUDE. It was my first time in my life when a waiter thrown me the dish and the cutlery. I asked to see the owner and she refused to come to discuss. When i met her at the reception and i asked if we can speak in English she “ executed” me with a definite NO. And then, while passing by the waitresses who got mad at me , they mocked me …|Of course, it is my mistake because i have not understood French. But, at no moment i was rude , on the contrary.|- the room: the size is not the problem ( we are in France!). The lack if proper 4 stars amenities as missing: no minibar, no complementary water, no coffee machine, no body lotion & hair conditioner. The towels are very used. The no door bathroom has no logic both as functionality or design! The room is quite poor as design , but the bathroom is vey large and it seems that belongs to another hotel room. The pillow are too high and square (60x60) - a no go for hotels.| |The guests who are able& willing to pay +250 euro/ night have better& nicer personal houses. They appreciate more THE SERVICE. If this does not raise to the expected level…

We found the rooms more than adequate, particularly for a ski resort. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The pool and the jacuzzi were most welcome. The two restaurants provided a great variety of food and both to a very high standard. A perfect location for a family, a couple or a group of friends.

It’s always a great experience to spend a day or more in this beautiful family hotel and restaurant .We came a few years ago and found it very comfortable but now with the renovations that took place in 2020 it’s really an amazing place where to spend an holiday . Mountain / Modern decorated rooms with all the comforts ,even table and chairs on the balconies ,and amazing pool and spa ,you can also book a massage .For me the highlight was the wonderfully decorated ,modern rustic restaurant and the special fresh and also creative at times food . Copious dishes arrived at our table without a long wait ,dishes beautifully presented and full of fresh ingredients from the area .The breakfast was superb ,you can make your own hot drinks or a fresh juice,freshly baked desserts and breads that go with cheeses of the area or cold cuts ,yogurts and crème caramel …|On top of all a the exquisite kindness of the owners and everyone who works in this real gem .

Lovely hotel with nice clean rooms and super friendly staff Pool and sauna rooms are immaculate with great views of the mountains from the pool. 1000% do recommend
