The food market in Lyon is truly a food lover’s paradise. With its vibrant stalls offering everything from fresh produce and artisanal cheeses to cured meats and pastries, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The variety and quality are unmatched, showcasing the best of French gastronomy. Whether you’re after local specialties or gourmet treats, this market is a must-visit for anyone who loves food.

Google
What an amazing market! Great to see the great produce, carefully and tastefully displayed. We were not hungry as we entered but ended up buying all sorts of delicacies. Very near the train station, so a good place to stock up for a long journey. Prices are very reasonable.

While it would be nice for the restaurants to remain open a bit later, we had a wonderful time visiting this food hall and found some amazingly fresh seafood for an early dinner. Great experience with small children.

Google
Easily the best food market we have visited in Europe. Very fresh seafood + delicious desert. It is a challenge to find seating so make sure you order food from the restaurant / stand with some open seats. Traffic / parking can be an issue try to use public transportation or bike / scooter rental avoid driving if possible.

I think it's a good thing that I don't live close by, because this place would be dangerous for my wallet! Everything you could possibly be want in terms of food and wine is most likely inside this indoor large food & beverage market. If you're staying in Lyon, it's a great place to shop for your food and wine in one spot. If I weren't dairy-free, I'd be obsessed with the number of local cheese vendors here. Actually, I AM obsessed even though I can't eat any of it. The quality and sheer amount of different types of cheeses at each cheesemonger is mind boggling! And don't even get me started on the pastries... SO many amazing pastries expertly created at a fraction of what we'd pay for them here at our local bakery in Portland metro. It's a great place to get some famous Lyon saucisson (sausage) and also the bright pink praline tarts that Lyon is known for. Some of the items are quite expensive compared to other small boutique markets around Lyon, but again, if you just want to get everything from one spot, it might be worth it so that you don't need to spend time running around town. If you have time, buy some fresh oysters and enjoy them at one of the wine bars or restaurants/cafes inside Les Halles. Then pick up some pastries for a picnic. Love this place so much!

Google
Pretty awesome place to get some stuff or eat a light meal and get something to drink. I was disappointed with people speaking only French. Although it’s an isolated place between neighbourhoods and residential streets far from historical part of the town, it’s a must for souvenirs and more local experiences.

Google
A wonderful few hours wandering through to appreciate food at its highest level. Very reasonable pricing in most instances. Lots of locals coming for coffee or lunch. We had the daily special and a glass of Cremant for 20.50E each.

Google
Such a temptation to get everything you see, they have so many great vendors. The amount of cheese, pates, charcuterie, desserts, seafood, etc is impressive and all look top quality. We had lunch at a seafood stand, oysters, escargot, mussels, razor clams, salmon tartare; everything was very fresh and delicious.

Yelp
An emporium of food for gourmets and gourmands alike! Fresh produce, fresh seafood, bakeries, meats, cheeses, wines, spirits, specialty foods, desserts, chocolates, bars, cafes, restaurants ... all under one roof and all paying homage to the great Lyonnais chef Paul Bocuse. Browse, gnosh, shop, and definitely have something to eat there. You gotta go!

Yelp
Every city I go to, whether it be domestic or foreign, I search for a food hall. I was super excited to experience this food hall because... Paul Bocuse. Unfortunately, this place kind of disappointed me. I wasn't expecting the restaurants to be open when we went because I did research and saw they closed early in the day but I wasn't expecting so many shops to be closed on a Tuesday at 330pm as well. The place looked a little defunct and like it would be derelict soon enough. There were stores open though and it was fun to stroll the aisles and look at stuff that we don't have in our city. I will agree that this place is geared way more toward "fancy" and "gourmet" so the price of things is incredibly high. 2 euro for one radish? I think not. I didn't end up buying anything because twice, yes TWICE, I stopped at a stand and said "bonjour" and the shopkeeper either just ignored me or walked away.

Tamar K.

Yelp
I was sad that so many booths/restaurants were closed. But what was open was still amazing. Super fun. So many cool options for eating there. And if we were shopping for home, or for souvenirs, it still would have been fantastic. Definitely worth the trip.

Yelp
I haven't made up my mind about Les Halles de Lyon. I usually adore the great Central Markets of great cities. I adore the Borough Market in London. I am in paradise in the Central Market of Budapest. Some of my happiest times have been shopping in the Mercado Municipal de Aracaju. Les Halles de Lyon put me off. * * * 1) The number of stalls on a comparative basis is very small. There are not that many vendors here. Most of the space is filled with upscale tourist restaurants. 2) Prices are absolutely positively sky high. I have done a lot of grocery shopping in Lyon. Lyon is an incredible food city. There is amazing shopping throughout the city in neighborhood markets, in ethnic stores, in local cheese stores, local butchers and local trateurs, And even... provided you go to Part-Dieu ... Carrefour. At Paul Bocuse, I had total sticker shock looking at what was for sale and how much they wanted for it. 3) In principle, they are charging more because the ingredients are that much superior. I am a good cook, but I am not a great cook. A piece of veal from the Paul Bocuse would cost three to four times what it would cost in my neighborhood halal butcher shop. I am not convinced that veal would be three to four times better. Add to this that premium ingredients require premium cooking skills. A great chef might pull everything out of that superior piece of veal could possibly be developed from a taste perspective. Joe Average Mortal Chef could literally make a hash of that veal. Much of that premium price would be going to waste. 4) My "consumer-alert" light was flashing because of the large percentage of the offerings that were made up of gift food. Gift food are items you buy at a top price in a fancy package that you take home to your friends after your trip. I am from Texas and I know full well what the gift food is like that we sell in Texas. The six dollar or ten dollar jar of gift "real Texas salsa" tastes about the same or worse than the two dollar bottle of salsa you buy in our local supermarket. I was actually served "gift" praline-d nuts right here in Lyon. They were hard as a rock and nearly inedible. The same pralines from Carrefour were wonderful. 5) That said, I suspect that there are some amazingly wonderful things to buy in les Halles Paul Bocuse. You need to find your reliable Halles merchant that you trust and that has good stuff. Then you need to know that the rival merchant in your own neighborhood does not have a similar offering at a better price. I suspect if you do careful item by item comparisons, That for some items, your local neighborhood merchant offers food that is just as good at a better price . For other items, les Halles Paul Bocuse offers quality that simply can't be matched. There will be no substitute for your trusted gourmet Halles provider. 6) How do you find the right trusted provider and the right item that makes that provider indispensable? Don't forget that your own amateur cooking can ruin the wonderful ingredients that you pay a premium for at Les Halles So a good first step is to start with food you can't ruin yourself. Start with items that you can eat straight from the store with no preparation on your part. I would give the cheese markets, the charcuterie stands and the traiteurs several good long looks. At least one of those categories and probably many more than one will have a vendor of distinction. Run the test against your local neighborhood rival. This will give you a set of known vendors and known items that are genuinely wonderful. Once you have a solid base from there, you can branch out. * * * So it is possible to make Les Halles de Paul Bocuse work. At London's Borough Market, I can just buy anything I see, it will be at a good price and it will taste fantastic. Sometimes, life is just complicated.

Yelp
Insane. Endless aisles of amazing food. Several restaurants are also inside. It blows my mind with the variety of vendors. Numerous seafood, cheese/delis, bakeries, fruit confit, and on and on. I need to come back with an empty stomach and grocery bags. Situated in a working class neighborhood and I did not note anything else of interest in the area.

Juan G.

Yelp
One stop shop for good food. I particularly liked the seafood stalls. You can eat oysters from around France, each species having their unique flavors. Small grocery shops, bread shops, dessert shops, prepared food shops, ect... Come early because some shops close earlier that others.

Carolyn V.

Yelp
The Good: :: it's a local business! :: a lot of fantastic food purveyors offering up anything and everything, from truffles to wine to cheeses to meats to seafood and much more :: great place to snag lunch :: so many delicious places, you are going to want to go to them all :: very clean The Bad: :: can get crowded so get there early enough to snag a spot to sit and eat! The Ugly: :: none Would I go back? Hundred percent yes...this market has it all, offering you up the quintessential French market experience. This place is IN.

Yelp
Wow!! What an experience!! It was raining outside and we wanted to stay dry while exploring the city, so we ended up at Les Halles. This was such a great decision; our visit here was one of the highlights of our trip to France! Firstly, if you are here from out of town, I would recommend visiting on your first day. You will come across so many things to buy and eat/drink during your trip, you will want to make sure you have enough time to eat it all. Make sure to check the opening hours, as many stores start to close 30 minutes or more before closing time. Note that the shops are only open until 1 PM on Sundays. We stopped at one of the first restaurants in the center, and we were really glad that we did. They had amazing prosciutto and chorizo along with some excellent Spanish wine. The bread that came with the appetizer was also pretty fantastic. Once in the market area, you will find absolutely every kind of meat, cheese, bread, and seafood that you could imagine! I would recommend starting with a bakery, as many items do sell out as the day goes on. You can also grab a bottle of wine on your way out! There isn't a better place for charcuterie fixings and high-quality ingredients. I had a great time during my visit and I wish I'd had more time to eat all of the amazing cheeses I came across.

Yelp
WOW. WOW WOW WOW. What an amazing Food Hall. It has everything you could imagine and then some. If this location is out of your way then go out of your way, it's a must-hit for me. DO be aware that quite a lot of the shops close (as most do) around 2pm but there is still tons of activity happening. I would go so many more times, I wish I had while I was in town.

Sze Ting L.

Yelp
Solid market and cheese/meats/pastry selections of Lyon. Could use some indoor seating and more bread selections, as well as cooked food!

David H.

Yelp
Lots of vendors but overall had a bad experience here - incredibly busy, long waits at every place to sit down, halls were packed like sardines. Ended up grabbing a couple things to go and eating outside but it can be very overwhelming. Maybe avoid the weekend. Wish we could've tried one of the seafood shops

Jim A.

Yelp
Where do I begin. This food hall/ amazing dining hall is the best epicurean experience ever. Just look at the posted pics and see for yourself. However, it's not just visual gratification, it's the aromas that cause olfactory overload .

Louisa M.

Yelp
I've traveled the world to visit famous food halls and this one was a surprising letdown. It's an okay market, but not one I would consider one of the world's best. You'd think in a culinary capital like Lyon that a food hall bearing famed chef Paul Bocuse's name would knock it out of the park, but it doesn't. The market is on the smaller side with your standard food stands (leaning heavy on the cheese). Many of the booths have similar offerings, making it quite repetitive to stroll around. There are a lot of sit down places but they obviously cater to locals because tourists weren't exactly welcomed with open arms. I do realize that's the "French way," but this was not a very friendly market. We wanted escargots and settled on a bar type establishment to enjoy our fresh snails with local wine. They were tasty of course. I also picked up a little cheese to enjoy back on the balcony at our hotel. Be forewarned that the prices are very high and there are no bargains to be found. Most of the food is on the "fancy gourmet" spectrum and the offerings are aimed at well-to-do locals. If you're in Lyon then by all means stop by and take a look, but foodies shouldn't plan an entire visit around this market. It's good, but far from great.

Julie h.

Yelp
Confused on what to eat? Come here! This place is filled with all types of different food vendors for you to find groceries to take away or get a nice meal. We walked down each aisle to carefully decide what to eat. I stopped to eat steak at les garçons Boucher's. Mom had a cheaper meal at a bar towards the center by the entrance. I met mom there afterwards to try some mini glasses of wine. Afterwards we got a few things to take back to the room for later in the day. We finally tried one of those pink praline tarts that you'll see throughout Lyon bakeries. It was delicious and not as sweet as you'd imagine it to be. We also grabbed cuts of cheeses, a baguette and some ham for charcuterie later in the day. Go ahead and scroll the halls and find out what to get. I found some cool things I had to take pics of. Even a Lebanese shop with a pigeon pastry. Enjoy!

Alma S.

Yelp
A must see and visit destination for foodies! Wonderful hall for fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and seafood! We enjoyed a fabulous lunch and shopping for salt, wine, chocolates, etc.

Julie M.

Yelp
I'm not sure what I can say here that hasn't already been shared in an online forum. The most amazing artisan food makers in the area are mostly posted up here. Going to get stock for the house to make things at home, or just going to eat all the things on premises are both amazing options. I could go here every day of the year and eat something unique and delicious!

Ellen S.

Yelp
Wow! So much to take in at this Market. Everything looked enticing and I wanted to try all of it, but alas, hard decisions needed to be made. Went with the paella which was flavorful and abundant with seafood, chicken and spices. They were generous with the 1 portion serving and it could really feed two people so that you can leave a little room to enjoy fromages (cheese) or patisserie (pastries/sweets). the seafood looked incredibly fresh and the meat/poultry at the butchers were equally impressive. Must be fun to shop/cook all these wonderful foods.

Didem B.

Yelp
So many things to try. Well organised. The atmosphere i not that fancy but you definetely forget when you start eating... We were almost late for our flight so we had a quick bite but definetely worth going there! A Must see stop in Lyon!

Samantha B.

Yelp
My favorite part of the city. This is every foodie's dream! The food options are endless & you can't help but to want to try everything in sight. There are many vendors inside, each with their own specialty. We indulged in oysters, shrimp, charcuterie boards & wine. The specific spots we tried were Madison Pupier and Les Garçons Bouchers. The latter place was especially good with the two kids we had with us. The bartender entertained them with kiddie drinks, candy and their own charcuterie boards. Whether you are a Lyon local or a tourist exploring the city - I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Linda R.

Yelp
This is an indoor food market located in Lyon, France. Lyon is known as the capital of gastronomy and this market is one of the reasons why. Indoor markets are nothing new to the French. The first market was built in 1859 and this particular place was built 100 years later. There are 48 different vendors offering amazing, upscale examples of incredible food. At this place, you can find butchers and bakeries. Also seafood offerings, chocolates, cakes, wines, cheeses, dried meats, fruits, vegetables, spices, flowers and much more. There are also restaurants such as Chez Léon, Chez Les Gones, and Le Fer à Cheval and bars. When we were there, we got some pastries, later had coffee and then selected several items to take home. Regarding parking, there is a deck next door.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Great place to walk through and go food shopping or eating. All kinds of artisanal foods and delectables. Come hungry and know the hours to visit.

Kel P.

Yelp
A very fun market with lots to offer, whether you love to eat or shop, seafood or meat or smoked stuff, it's allllll there! Great variety of food shops, and seafood in particular is plenty. Only warning, most shops only speak French with no English menu even, and most things don't open on Sunday.

Jihye S.

Yelp
Really fun, good place for foodies with prestine bakeries, charcuterie shops, butcher shops, fish monger, prepared foods, truffle shop, fruit store, restaurants, etc. I tried the Richard yogurt (1 euro. Get it from the Rene Richard shop!) and St Ho! tart (Saint honored tart with salted caramel mousse) from Patisserie Bouillet, and both were excellent. I also bought a box of chocolates from Delicés des sens, and they were very reasonably priced and very very good. (25 pieces of your choice for only 19 Euro! And everything I tried was very flavorful with great quality chocolate.) It's a place that'd be much more fun if you speak French, but many of them are willing to talk to you in English. It's such a fun, pretty, and fascinating place with so much food items. I wish America had something like this!

Marilyn T.

Yelp
This is a pretty big food hall with quite a few charcuterie shops, cheese shops, patisseries, wine shops, etc. Most shops are open all day, but some restaurants are only open during meal hours (ie lunch ends at 2:30). I'm sure stuff her is more overpriced compared to outside, but it's a very clean and nice setup with everything in one place.

Katie W.

Yelp
My name is Katie and I love food halls. I build them into the itinerary because it's as important to me as other sights and landmarks. I've been lucky enough to visit food halls in various countries, so I did have high expectations for this famed Paul Bocuse food hall. This food hall is indoors, which is nice when it's cold and rainy. As per the French style, you will find beautifully designed pastries, chocolates, cheese, charcuterie, seafood, and sit-down restaurants. However, this food hall is geared more for buying food to take home and cook with rather than for eating there. As a tourist, this was a bit of a drawback for us since we wanted to sample a lot of the food, but we were staying in a hotel. I also expected more stalls to call out to me, but there were just a few that I wanted to eat at. There are clean and free bathrooms on site, which is important in Europe since some places make you pay to use the bathroom. If you're in Lyon, I'd definitely recommend that you stop by if you're a foodie to check out their goodies. Food halls are great if you need to feed several people since people can get different things depending on their tastes.

Monica L.

Yelp
PROS: Foodie heaven! CONS: ? Wow. Just wow. This place is like having all your European cuisine cravings under one roof. There's high quality cheese, pastries, pasta, wine, desserts, produce, seafood, and restaurants all in one giant indoor market. I could probably spend a couple hours here just browsing through everything! What an amazing place.

Art C.

Yelp
Eh... it seemed like most of the vendors didn't really wanna be there. As it turned out, we didn't really wanna be there either. If you have a choice I'd say miss this one... not worth the trek.

Mike M.

Yelp
Best Les Halles I've been too, do not miss it you will be sorry.... We have been to many places over the years, this is it!! Had fresh seafood lunch while shopping for our picnic road food to pack in the car for the trek to Provence... There is plenty of options to choose from and there's something for everybody. Bucket list...

Trisha W.

Yelp
If you're staying at an Air B & B or at a place where you have a little kitchen then I recommend stopping by Les Halles! We picked up some nice Italian goods from Tacca. Yes things are a little pricy here but the quality is also exceptional. This is a very nice clean facility with lots of different vendors. You can find almost anything here, do yourself a favor and go! Tacca has some of the best Italian Ravioli and prosciutto we ever had. We picked up some pesto to toss the ravioli in. It was very nice.

Greg B.

Yelp
There's nothing else to say about Les Halles de Lyon that hasn't already been said. Except..... So I got here at around 930 am thinking I was only going to walk in, snap a few pictures then go back around the city telling French dames I was the guy who invented the margarita. Boy was I wrong! I was in candy land, cheese land, ham land and pastry land. I probably stopped by ten different stations before I realized two hours had passed. I'll never forget the wonderful food and the wonderful people working there who took the time to answer my questions about not only food but also life in Lyon. ******************************************************************************************** Je me suis donc rendu aux Halles de Lyon vers 9h30 du matin, pensant juste me ballader et prendre quelques photos, pour finalement revenir en ville et saluer quelques ''french ladies'', tout en me faisant passer pour celui qui inventa la celebre ''Margarita" ! Telle etait l'idee de depart. Quel leurre! Je n'imaginais pas decouvrir le paradis du fromage, du jambon, des confiseries et patisseries en tout genre. J'ai probablement du passer par 10 stands differents avant de realiser que j'etais la depuis 2 heures. Je n'oublierais jamais cette sensationnelle degustation et l'accueil chaleureux des Lyonnais. Chaque vendeur a pris le temps de m'expliquer et me detailler non seulement leurs specialites mais aussi le mode de vie a Lyon. Je recommande cette visite sans hesiter

Stephanie A.

Yelp
This place is like heaven for me! My kind of happy place! Every time I go to Lyon to visit my Grandma, I always come here several times to buy delicious produce and to bring some back home (they can vacuum pack your purchases for it to travel well). And it is still a habit of my Grandma to come here regularly mostly to buy "charcuteries" and cheeses. And when we have time, we always enjoy a nice meal in one of their many delicious restaurants. Definitely a place to visit when in Lyon!

Eva K.

Yelp
OMG. Can you not love this place? This is like Copenhagen's Torvehallerne, but only ten time more fabulous. They're also older too, if it wasn't back in the late 1800s or so, but of course now it's all modern and fabulous. There are so many food here that you wouldn't believe it - fishmongers, butchers, patisseries, all the things that you would want in life, also restaurants and bars. I could roam the narrow alleys between the shops forever, looking at their goods. We went here Saturday afternoon for snacking, because restaurants in Lyon only open at eating hours (lunch or dinners), we went to this Spanish place on the end of the hall to snack on jamón and wine, it was rather expensive, but it was sufficient to say that the jamón and wine were superb. On the last day of our stay in Lyon, we went here for the last time to get stuff to bring home. I bought a half kilo tortellini with truffles filling from the Italian vendor Ciao Ciao - it was so fresh that you could see them making it and even when I cooked them the next day, so you could still see the flour dusting. Boyfriend got himself some goat and buffalo cheese and rosette de lyon, while I also got a box of macarons from Seve and Bouillet. My life is complete! LOL

Alain T.

Yelp
This place is simply awesome for food lovers. You can spend half a day or the entire day here just walking around and seeing so many stores from cheese stores to meat, chocolate and seafood. There are so many more stores and restaurants to browse. My wife and I spent half a day there just looking and eating. Highly recommended.

Anthony S.

Yelp
Great and comprehensive food hall. Prices are a bit inflated but getting some fresh oysters here is not too bad Had 6 special big juicy oysters, 300g of baby conchs and 2 glasses of wine for about 30 Euros at Chez Lyon. It was a pleasant snack. Visitors should definitely stop by and check out Les Halles

Colette S.

Yelp
I'll be honest and say I wasn't sure what to expect. Sure, everyone says this is an amazing food market and worth a journey. But they also say that about other places that have underwhelmed me (Chicago's "French" market and Berlin's Markthalle Neun spring to mind). However, I think this place lives up to the hype. Not one, not two, but more than three excellent cheesemongers (to be reviewed separately). Several fantastic options for pastry, macarons and sweets. Several specialty wine and spirits shops. Lots of options for eating there, and for taking away. Specialty products that I haven't seen anywhere else, like the dumplings at Giraudet. Some places are more like mini restaurants, check the hours as it seems they might be open different times than the market stalls themselves. It might be tempered by the fact that, due to a number of circumstances, this is basically all I saw of Lyon for the weekend. But believe it or not, after stocking up on a few luxury essentials here, I didn't mind at all. Highly recommend allowing yourself enough time to properly explore, with the odd break for a snack or drink along the way. Most places had someone that spoke English, and everywhere was friendly enough. Mix of accepting credit cards and cash only.

E L.

Yelp
After all those cream and butter we consumed we wanted something light so we got a seafood platter at one of the restos (?) at this lovely but empty market. Surprisingly the oysters and shrimp were very fresh and good and I am super picky when it comes to seafood because I love seafood so much. God bless fast transportation because I wasn't expecting such fresh seafood in a city so far away from the sea.

Stephen K.

Yelp
Go here... Your five senses will love you for it. All of the wonderful French food you can imagine in one place. We went there earlier today and bought a lot of things for lunch for about €20. Now, we are all in a food coma and napping. Nothing more to say other than go!

Sarah J.

Yelp
Disappointed by this. It's far from the center of Lyon and was very slow. I probably went at the wrong time of day (around 4pm) but still... it pretty much featured fancy cuts of meat, cheese, and chocolate.

Erna F.

Yelp
A must when you're in Lyon!! It has many delicious items under one roof! Come here to buy cheeses, meats, wine, pastries, chocolates, fruit and seafood! Make sure to come before 2pm if you want to lunch here as most lunch vendors will close shop at that time and re-open later for dinner. Other shops stay open if you are just looking for items to take home. We went to Chez Leon for some AMAZING oysters!! The oysters we picked were the Fines de Claire de Marienne Olereon. These were oysters from north of Bordeaux! They are now one of my favorite oysters! They were fresh and had a perfect flavor! We also ordered the clams with butter and garlic. That was also fantastic! Make sure to also try some of the different pastries, if you have a sweet tooth! I loved this place!

Zhen W.

Yelp
There is a lot of awesome food at this place. As a tourist I rely heavily on Yelp when I check out these types of places. One thing the reviews don't mention is that the food stand don't open until 10:30AM. So if you are planning to come here when it opens at 7:00AM just be prepared for a long wait. =)

Yelp
We walked about a mile from our hotel to see this place. It's HUGE! And an interesting marketplace! From wine bars, oysters, chocolates, pastries, meats, poultry, and bread, you will pretty much see all types of food under one roof! This place is definitely a feast for the eyes and stomach. We were sad that we couldn't really indulge as we had dinner reservations but my sister gave in to her cravings for oysters and she was quite pleased with the freshness. If you are in Lyon, this place is a must to visit for foodies! There's just so many different foods to try!!!

Yelp
I was very excited for this market, but it struck me as generally overpriced. I think the humble origins of lyonnaise cuisine have been bastardized into a money making tourist trap machine.

Yelp
Do not miss this place! Under one roof you will find amazing raw provisions, and so much wonderful prepared food on offer. Take your time, stroll around, check it all out. Depending on the time of your visit there probably will be some shops shut. Afternoons are kinda slow, weekend evenings and nights are excellent. Enjoy!

Yelp
I'd give it 3.5 stars but am rounding up. Went for a quick shop for snacks, and I thought things were generally good -- both the variety and the quality. A few places seemed to have fresh seafood for cooking / consumption on the spot which I would have been more than willing to try if I hadn't already eaten. They had a few good shops for hams and sweets as well. Overall, I enjoyed browsing and would recommend it if you're in the mood for a market sort of experience in the heart of Lyon.

Yelp
You need to come here when its less crowded so you can stop, watch and go at your ritme. Best place to buy all your stuff to prep for a dinner with friends. Cheese, wine , cakes , and endless duck liver etc... Watch out for those who are gourmandes....

Yelp
I think it's normal to walk up & down the aisles of this indoor market, taking in the sights and smells before you commit to a purchase. Sweets, bread, pastries, cheeses, poultry, seafood., oh my. You name it, I'm pretty sure it's here! A must see (and eat) when visiting Lyon.

Yelp
If you search the best products in Lyon... Les Halles de Lyon or Halles Paul Bocuse is the place where you will find fresh and good products that you will never find anywhere else ! Ok it's quite expensive, but the place, the atmosphere worth the trip.
