Seven of the Smallest MICHELIN Guide Hotels in Paris

"Les Jardins du Faubourg styles itself a five-star boutique hotel, and while you know we’re not great believers in star ratings for hotels, the point is clear enough: small scale (16 rooms), big comforts and the kind of impeccable style you would expect from a top-flight Parisian boutique hotel." - The MICHELIN Guide

I just stayed at Les Jardins du Faubourg and honestly, it was way better than I expected. I was a bit nervous because I had read some negative reviews before coming, but my stay ended up being perfect, truly 10/10. The hotel is beautiful, the atmosphere is calm, and everything felt well taken care of. A special thank you to Celia, Olivia, and Malik you three made my stay feel personal and memorable. Your kindness and professionalism really stood out! If you’re reading the reviews and feeling unsure, don’t be. My experience was amazing, and I’m so glad I chose this hotel. I would definitely stay here again 🩷

From check-in to checkout, our experience was flawless. Carl at the front desk was incredibly welcoming, and we loved our room — beautifully designed with a bathtub and private steam room. The hotel is small, stylish, and perfectly located (we were in town for Paris Photo at the Grand Palais). We made great use of the pool and sauna downstairs, which were fantastic after long days out. Breakfast was another standout: a cozy dining room, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheeses, and delicious made-to-order dishes. Anaïs greeted us every morning with a smile and hot coffee, which made the start to each day even better. Carl also offered excellent local restaurant and activity recommendations. Overall, completely worth the cost — we’ll absolutely be back.

Disappointing for the Price||The hotel is too expensive for what it offers. It lacks the atmosphere and charm that the photos on the website suggest.|Our room was located in the back part of the hotel, only reachable through the courtyard. The bed was excellent, but the window faced a covered courtyard with bushes, offering neither a pleasant view nor much natural light. To compensate, we were given a room with a Hamam — something few guests would really need in-room.||The breakfast area felt basic, and our bill was incorrect twice. The Cappuccino was served far too hot, and the service overall was mediocre. I didn’t try the spa facilities, which might be the main attraction for some guests.||Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel for the price they are charging. There are better options available in the same category

Well, the hotel is nice with a good location of course! The issue is I don’t know how they call it a five star hotel when the room is always not fully clean and the security he’s the same guy at the reception at night and also he’s the responsible for the room service at night!! Also the people at the restaurant not professional enough and they have no class on the way they serve you the food, they touch the stuff with their hands without trey. God knows where their hands was before! The only good guy and lovely is MALIK. here comes the story now.. the big problem and the one who isn’t nice is the reception manager I don’t know his name but he’s a bald guy! His attitude isn’t professional at all the way he’s talking like he’s the one who paid not us the clients, he even manipulated my word when I asked for something and insisted that I said a word that I didn’t even say it. He’s a very bad guy with a bad experience I don’t know how the managements didn’t see this or recognize his behaviors towards the clients, I’d like to come back again but because of his treatment and some of the other workers I don’t recommend it unless you fix this issues with some professionality and class.

Quite disappointing for the price. The rooms are in the small side and the whole hotel doesn’t feel 5 star at all. Also the worst coffee I had in Paris during the breakfast.

Guillaume Collin is a true professional who swiftly resolved a reservation mishap when we arrived late in Paris due to airport delays. Despite our concerns about being marked a no-show, Guillaume and the staff went above and beyond—not only saving our booking but also upgrading our rooms for the entire week. Hospitality like this is rare in Paris.||Apart from how elegantly this situation was handled, I must also say that the amenities/spa is also a real treat too. This is a gem that you must try.

In my view the times of Parisian "Palaces" (i.e. the traditional high end luxury hotels such as Ritz, Meurice or Plaza Athénée) are more or less gone. They have become very expensive without providing a commensurate customer experience and no longer attract distinguished guests in the proportions they used to in the past. Fortunately, there are alternatives: in January 2025, we spent one night at Les Jardins du Faubourg and was impressed in many ways: the room was beautifully designed and fitted with high-quality materials. Staff was polite and helpful all the way. I briefly spoke to the cleaning lady and felt that she was respected in her job, which is not always the case in Parisian hotels, but so important in my view. The spa area and indoor pool are impressive. The gym is small, but neat and clean. While discovering the facilities at arrival we briefly bumped into the cook and he made a good impression too. Breakfast on the next day was a great experience as well, I got a tasty avocado toast and we met the deputy director who was helpful and professional and we encouraged him to keep developing the hotel culture we were experiencing.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our visit special. The room was beautiful, the food was excellent, and they even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of wine for my wife’s birthday—a thoughtful touch we really appreciated. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Yelp
A session with Nadia at the spa is truly magical and is worth the trip to Paris in and of itself. Nadia is the bodyworker that massage therapists see on their day off. Nadia's hands listen to the body's inner fabrics, its rhythm, resonance, and elasticity. She then rebalances its synergy and regenerates its life pulse. Nadia gifts you her heart through her hands to not just revitalize the body with boundless locomotion, interoception, and kinetic energy, but her sessions elevate you to a celestial level of being. "Nadia, you are an angel," I beamed. "I know." She radiated with laughter. She really loves what she does and goes above and beyond to ensure that you have a wonderful experience.

Yelp
My Fiancé and I spent an amazing week in Paris visiting friends and were recommended to stay at this incredible hotel. The staff was amazingly helpful and the ambiance was perfect for the magical week we had. Every day started off amazing with breakfast in a serene garden setting. The rooms were perfect and loved the design of the hotel. The spa and underground pool with Saunas was our daily treat as we would unwind from busy days out and about. The hotel is in a great location close to everything and the staff always helped us get recommendations and transportation. This hotel is first class and run by people who care about their guests and experience. We have already planned our next trip to Paris and will not consider staying anywhere else.

Yelp
We spent 3 wonderful nights here. Everything you could possibly imagine was incredibly perfect. The first thing you notice when walking is the calming scent and indoor/outdoor feel with the courtyard. It is like a sanctuary in the city. We booked a suite and a standard room for our party of 4, both rooms had plenty of space, mini bar, nespresso machine and both bathrooms generous and spacious in a very Parisian way. The location is absolutely one of the best in Paris, in the heart of the Faubourg, 1 block from Hermès and everything was absolutely impeccable. I am obsessed with the toiletries, and decor (Art is everywhere). The scent matched well the ambience of the room as well as the hotel. Breakfast and service was extremely good and I have been impressed by the little details. Thank-you Carl and all the staff for this wonderful stay. We will be back!

Yelp
We recently stayed at Les Jardins du Faubourg in the 8th and truly loved the hotel and wonderful staff. We typically stay while in Paris in St Germaine, but were recommended by a friend to stay here...which was a much better experience for us than our previous St Germain hotel. The location is ideally situated and equidistant to many areas in Paris. It is an easy walk to the Louvre and has many fine luxury brand shops and nice cafe's nearby. What we really loved was the attentive and personable staff...Led by the GM, Jennifer and her wonderful concierge team, along with the dedicated and detail oriented front desk staff. The rooms are elegant with many amenities, but warmly inviting. They have extremely comfortable beds and fine linens and towels which are changed daily. We loved the quality of the luxurious towels and plush cotton robes that made it feel like a high-end "spa" experience. This makes sense given The Shiseido Spa is also located in the hotel. I enjoyed a terrific massage and relaxed in their indoor pool Les "Jardin" restaurant is a beautiful indoor and outdoor atrium that serves great food for lunch and dinner as well as many delicious breakfast options. The hotel area is quiet and not overly "touristy" when compared to St Germaine... and we enjoyed neighborhood walks after dinner. You can tell how well this hotel is managed given the attention to detail and focus on the "best" customer experience. We highly recommend this property!
