"Jean-Luc Rabanel is a colourful character with a lilting accent, who perpetually reinvents his vegetable-based cuisine. Les Maisons Rabanel, a single place but two styles of cooking: Greeniotage, which tends towards bistro food, and Greenstronome for fine dining. Always going out on a limb, this engaging chef shakes things up at every service. A unique personality." - Michelin Inspector

Had lunch in Greeniotage on Sat. Seated at 1215hr and left only at 1420hr. 2hr for a set lunch of 3 courses. To me, it's too long. We were the first few to arrive but the last few to leave the restaurant. We had to ask for the menu to select our food. Then after we finished our main course, we had to ask for our dessert. Food taste excellent, fresh ingredient, creative in all their dishes but service is a disaster, not attentive at all, waiters attitude are not great. The patrons on the table next to us arrived much later than us, and ordered set lunch too. The waiter cleared our main course dishes at the same time but they were served with dessert before us. Hope the Michelin star is not for Greeniotage, not worth the star with this level of service. Will not recommend if you are hungry and not want to wait for your food.

When we travel the world looking for great places to eat, we sometimes wonder if there are still special and delightful restaurants that surprise us. Yes, Greenstronome, despite its weird name is such a place. A restaurant with a chef who loves food and cooking. I was so lucky that he respected my preferences and prepared a special eight course vegetarian menu, including a couple of lobster dishes. I cannot thank him enough for this treat. The food is clearly first class, three stars from us! But it also is real food and not just a collection of fancy, intellectual creations. It captures a Provence spirit and a certain relaxed realness that is hard to explain but emphasized also by the special atmosphere, which others have criticized. This maybe appear as a somewhat shabby style, compared to other high end restaurants, still clean and beautiful, and may not be for everyone but we totally loved it. Overall, the only mistake we both made was eating too much (delicious) bread. Since all courses are clearly not tiny at all (against a global trend…), I was super full in the end but the desert could still not be left untouched! Thank you so much for an unforgettable evening!

Delicious and inventive, sometimes quite out of left field like the black olive dessert, which I personally really enjoyed. The service is somewhat tentative and not as polished as I expected in a restaurant of this caliber, but eager and willing enough that it didn't mar the moment.

Excellent place, best food, go hungry because it is a lot of food; dishes are small as all the novel cuisine, with an out of this world flavor and they are many (12 in our case). The wine pairing is lovely. We went a few days after to louis xv (3 star michelin) and jea-luc rabanel is way above that restaurant. The chef is always there so this ensures the quality of the food. Must go to this restaurant.

They maintained the standing since giving the Michelin stars back. Inventive food, impeccable service: a meal I'll remember

Absolutely excellent food (I ordered codfish as main course), and very friendly service staff. Next time we are in Arles we plan to visit this place again.

Celebrity Chef: Michelin listed restaurant features unusual dishes, cheese with jammy onions, as well as the usual flank steak with fingerling potatoes, onions and roasted garlic. Great dessert option: pavlova.
