"On your way down the mountain, stop in the village of Cucugnan, recommends Bertrand. 'A famous baker named Roland Feuillas mills wheat and other grains at a 17th-century windmill that he uses to bake goods for his in-town boulangerie, Les Maîtres de Mon Moulin,' he says." - Travel + Leisure Editors

This place is absolutely amazing. Somehow you can FEEL the care and love and tradition in the taste of the bread. It's a very relaxed vibe so you might have to wait a couple of minutes before hearing a singsong Bonjour attending you but however long i promise it's worth it! The Fougasse didn't look that impressive and maybe even a bit burnt, but I got one on a whim and I'm so glad i did! I went back for two more of these magical black olive and sun dried tomato masterpieces! Cookies, brownies, and kamut breads were also all epic! Even the coffee was steller🙏🏽🙌🏽🎇

Old varieties of flour grown and harvested locally, milled on site, transformed into the most delicious varieties of bread, cakes, biscuits and other small delicious things to eat. The lady who runs the boutique is one of natures lovely persons. Not cheap by supermarket standards, but cheap in terms of sheer quality. Worth a detour just to visit the premises, have a drink and a snack sat outside. Wonderful NOTE - the bins in the photo are for recycling

The weather was terrible. Rain squalls, strong winds and a temperature of 10 C. Parking in the lot below town, I donned my rain coat and rapidly walked the 400 meters to the bakery. What a delightful experience! As a baker myself (I bake all my bread at home), I had wonderful 1/2 hour conversation with the proprietor (I am reasonably fluent in French). One of those experiences that underscores the benefits of travel. I bought a loaf of rouge de Bourdeaux, kamut pasta, some cookies, and the first book written about the proprietor. There is no indoor seating, so on a day like this, I enjoyed my coffee standing up. Definitely worth the trip!

Delicious freshly baked bread. Tasty "Pompe à huile". Had a terrific picnic with the kids outside the bakery under the tall trees.

What can I say about this bread? It's impossible to over-rate it, because it's wonderfully delicious and unique. His pizza is also delicious. One slice isn't enough! I have heard that the bread here is too expensive, but I would much rather pay for good wholesome food than pay less for empty calories and mediocre products.

Wonderful memories of the mill, of Cucugnan, and of the fantastic bread. We took a loaf on our honeymoon hikes. Such pleasure to slow down and appreciate the sights and tastes around us. Still thinking about it 5 years later.

Nice traditional Bakery with a traditional windmill to make the floor. Very good bread to taste and forget the city's machined bread for a while.
