Houston’s Blk Market Birria Will Open in Montrose Space Formerly Occupied by Les Noo’dle - Eater Houston

"Les Noo’dle opened in 2018 at 1717 Montrose Avenue, serving up three types of pho — beef, chicken and vegetarian — with other options, including spring rolls, spicy cucumber salad, and Vietnamese street corn. Before that, owners Cat Huynh and Angie Dang ran Les Bag’et out of the same address, which served a wider variety of Vietnamese fare including banh mi sandwiches, steak and eggs, and vermicelli bowls." - Brittanie Shey

Best pho I've had in a while! I ordered the vegetarian pho with combination proteins that includes tofu, mushrooms, and lotus root. The broth had so much flavor and the portion size was HUGE! I got 2 full meals out of 1 bowl. The brisket spring rolls are delicious, the brisket itself has a nice smokey flavor. 1 star off for the cleanliness of the utensils though. Both mine and the husband's soup spoons were very dirty. We requested plastic spoons while dining in.

Pho lover should come here! I would happily announce that this is the best pho place I’ve ever been to in Houston!!! 😋😍 I’m vegetarian so I got a vegan 🌱 pho and the taste was amazing!!! Definitely worth the try and the quantity is really good around $11! I’m sure you’ll be satisfied when you come eat their delicious pho 🍲!!! Man, I’m coming back again for sure although I’m from far away! Keep up your great work!! Cheers 🥂

Good clean lean fresh food. Had the spicy cucumber appetizer and shrimp spring roll. The food was really good but I was surprised it was only (1) spring roll for in half vs traditionally (2) per order!

Terrible experience here. The cashier and server both didn’t want to help me with getting the kitchen to cut the corn off the cob of the street corn and the spring roll was served with this red sauce when traditionally spring rolls are served with peanut sauce. It was gross with this other sauce. We ordered a vegan noodle soup which was good and a beef noodle soup but that had way too much hoisin sauce in it or some sauce that did not belong in the soup. Will be the last time we ever eat at any of these les noo’dle spots.

Best pho ever!!! My best friend is Vietnamese and I've had her grandmother's pho and I'm sorry...this is better. I hope she doesn't see this...lol We got the spicy cucumber...omg it's excellent. The street corn was great too! I got the chicken pho and my friend got beef. Very, very flavorful.

Honestly I'm so happy to have eaten this pho. It was everything I could have asked for - hot, fulfilling, heart-warming, and flavorful. The meat was incredibly tender, and the corn appetizer was a pleasant surprise of deliciousness. The service was quick and very friendly, and there's lots of seating inside.

PROs: ✔️ Delicious pho broth and offerings ✔️ PERFECT menu - just 3 pho options (choose your meat/broth) and great drink and side order options (ie: mangonada Boba iced tea) ✔️ Cool interior - love the 'wok' sink in the men's bathroom ✔️ Nice to have a pho option in down/midtown CONs: ❌ Terrible parking! Only a few spots to park and do NOT make the mistake of parking on the street or next door - they WILL tow you ❌ Noodles are a bit too fragile compared to other pho restaurants Pictures show my order - beef pho with filet mignon, mangonada Boba iced tea and a spicy cucumber salad. I was told this is the best pho in Houston so naturally I was intrigued 🤔 It's good - very good - but I still think Pho Binh and Pho Binh By Night take that award. There pho has a nice lean meat beef option, and the broth is a bit richer and deeper. Still, with the other well-thought out options, LES Noodles is a wonderful option. Parking is what brought this review down from 5 to 4 stars as it's really bad.

Had an amazing meal! The Spring Rolls were delicious and I normally don't care for them, my guest ordered them and insisted I try them. The Pho Bo is the best I have had. I got the filet mignon and my guest got the meatballs. The portions are large and reasonably priced. Looking forward to my leftovers tonight.
