Les Suites at The Cliff Bay

What a fantastic stay at Les Suites. We stayed in the Master Suite over the Christmas period and no detail was left out. The rooms were spotless, the kitchenette well equipped, and the bathrooms were fabulous. Daily housekeeping and turn down service was perfect every time. Toiletries were well stocked and replenished if needed. Fresh fruit was also replenished in the living room every day. Nothing was too much trouble and even when I sent some laundry out over the weekend, it was delivered two minutes after I called reception to check its return time!||We mostly ate at Avista (both Avista and Avista Asia) and the staff were so welcoming, personable and efficient. The breakfast was delicious every day, and there was a huge selection to choose from. Avista Asia was absolutely superb.||The pools and spa are well maintained both at Les Suites and in the main hotel and it was wonderful to have a swim every day. The jacuzzis and other wellness facilities were also brilliant. I also had a massage at the beginning of my stay which was fabulous.||Il Gallo D'Oro was perfect. The staff were so well trained, the food was delicious and the whole experience was an artistic production and very special.||I would come back at any opportunity!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We were treat like royalty from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The porters took our bags to the room while we checked in and enjoyed a complimentary welcome drink in the garden, then the room was stunning with knock out views, the pools were all fantastic as well as access to the sea with lifeguards to watch over us unobtrusively. The breakfast offerings were amazing, all staff couldn't do enough for us. This hotel deserves its 5 stars.

We had an absolutely outstanding stay at Les Suites. The room was perfect - we were staying for our honeymoon and were upgraded to the master suite which was amazing - it was absolutely immaculate, lovely little touches in the room, the most comfortable bed, amazing shower. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was perfect every morning. The spa was great. It's a little bit of a walk from the centre of Funchal, but the bus stop is right outside if you don't fancy a walk, but loads of places to eat locally too, and hire cars to get about the island. We cannot fault Les Suites at all, absolutely amazing stay - we loved every minute.

My wife and I have just returned from three weeks at Les Suites; our second visit of the year. After our first visit we formed the opinion that this was the best hotel on the island (we've been coming to Madeira for over twenty five years). Happily after this latest visit I can confirm that our feelings about Les Suites remain just the same. It's great, and if you're able to then you should visit and make up your own mind. Is it expensive? Yes, of course it is, but in terms of value it's outstanding. We're already planning our next visit.

Love this hotel, and we travel a lot. Our suitewas spacious, with an enormous amount of closet space, a private garden and a private deck area. The grounds are beautiful and the entire hotel is so small that it feels like a private retreat. The staff is friendly and helpful. We plan to return every year.

This is truly a 5-star hotel. The location is fantastic with free parking, the suites are new and very nice, and the service is impeccable. We dined at three of the restaurants, all of which had nice food. The breakfast is very good—well-selected, delicious food with a beautiful view. The infinity pool is wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Had a fabulous stay at Les Suites, the suite was beautiful with fabulous views, the gardens were wonderful as was the infinity pool. The Avista and Avista Ásia are fabulous restaurants the food was mouthwatering.

We had a wonderful time at a wonderful location. Besides all the professional amenities, the fun access to the water, etc. mostly the stunning service and the good vibes of all of the staff made this vacation iconic! Many thanks! On a personal note: The gym could use a proper rack and bar plus weights ;) but you already are doing a good job!!!
