Les Terrasses De L'Our

My girlfriend and I were here for New Year's eve. We had decided last minute to come here, and it was a pleasant and amazing surprise. I am used to going to Michelin Guide restaurants, but this one stands out from its similars. We had a great amount of food and wine. The staff is very friendly and the food is even better. Good selection of wines and fantastic flavour combinations. I highly recommend this place, in which the good atmosphere and modern furniture allow for a great gastronomic experience.

Restaurant review. If you are not a group, not vegetarian and not requiring any friendly service, the location is very beautiful. If you can sit outside when the weather is nice, its lovely. The first rather negative experience was being told that as we were a group we were not allowed to order anything else but the fixed 3 course menu. Very annoying as this was never mentioned when we booked the restaurant. The fixed menu gave only 2 options for the appetizer one with fish and one with meat, same for the main. We asked if they had a vegatarian option, the answer was no. When we asked to switch out at least one option to a (cheaper) option on the a la carte menu we were told rather rudely there was no flexibilty possible, at all! They could serve us the cod dish without the cod and chorizo and the ham and asparagus without the ham. Its what we did but ended up with nearly nothing on our plate, 2 small asparagus and a half a cup of rice with a very limited amount of veg. In the end we went home very disappointed both by the food as by the service (especially the rude waitress).

Dinner and hotel. We booked a formula in which we dined at Tables de Maxime (see separate review, very good, we liked it a lot) and dined & slept at Les Terrasses De L’our. In general, the restaurant was okay. Service started slow; we felt “forgotten” at some point where other guests received drinks and appetizers very quickly. This improved over the course of the service. The meals were good, but the dining room was just way too warm for a relaxed dinner. The rooms were not worth it. We paid 220 euros per night: this did not include water in the room, nor access to the sauna (40 euros extra per pax). The shower in the room was quite dirty with a water damaged ceiling and a dirty shower head. For this kind of price one would expect better amenities and cleaning.

Brasserie of maxime and hotel. Very confortable and quite near the river. Great breakfast and service. To be recommended. They have a menu and dishes a la carte. Simple but very tasty and always with a little twist. They even have multiple electric borns to charge your electric car

Beautifully designed space, and we enjoyed our spacious and clean room. The breakfasts were delicious. We also had an excellent dinner in the brasserie (the more upscale restaurant was fully booked). We look forward to a future visit.

We booked a Suite so that it accommodates 3 adults and a 3 year old - just what was needed. We had 2 persons eating the menu bistromique which was very delicious with 3 different dishes. Then the other person had a Saumon Mariné and a Coquelet. We had a bottle of Sancerre (2017) which was extremely good. A very good evening. Breakfast next day was well supplied and with a good selection.

Went 2 times at this place in 2 months, and unfortunately the result was far to provide me satisfaction. The worst for me was the beef carpaccio. We could have a better one at the local supermarket. The main dish was « okish », and the dessert very standard. If I put this in perspective with the bill, I have a real problem. Very disappointed.

We had a really good lunch here. Good to come here after a nice walk. Friendly staff, and good food!
