Our stay at L'Escale du Ciel was absolutely magical and a complete dream! This property is absolutely gorgeous with lush gardens and the smell of lavender in the air, impeccable interior decorating that makes you feel at home, and an infinity pool overlooking the mountains that make the perfect relaxing escape. Judith is a wonderful host and puts together a wonderful breakfast, gives great suggestions for restaurants and activities, and is so sweet and welcoming! And I can't not mention her adorable dogs who were so friendly and calm and made the place feel even more like home away from home! I would 10000% recommend this place and hope to be back there myself soon!

L'Escale du Ciel offers complete tranquility and relaxation. Judith has taken time create an incredible oasis and unique mix of modern French luxury and tradition. It's an opportunity to stay in a beautiful spot, with stunning views, friendly and welcoming people and pets, with a real feel of comfort. We stayed in the smallest of the rooms with twin beds, not out of choice, but because everything else was booked up! We were pleasantly surprised. Bright, modern, luxurious (if compact) with comfy beds and everything you need really. It does have a toilet which is just across the hall and not in the room itself, but this is a small hotel with just 4 rooms and a community feel, so it caused us no issue and we stayed for a week. This place is about embracing the outdoor life on the gorgeous terraces, gorging on Judith's bespoke breakfasts and soaking up everything around you. Be prepared to chat and share the experience with like minded guests taking advantage of Judith's gorgeous kitchen for preparing your incredible local produce and chilling your local Rose in the evening, it's all part of the experience. A true home from home, we will most definitely be returning.

I first stayed here in in August 2017 with my boyfriend. We loved it so much that I brought my best friend back this year! We had 3 nights and stayed in the twin room. It was perfect. From the moment you arrive at Judiths property you feel like you are at home. But in a really luxurious home. The decor is chic and stylish. All the furniture is beautiful and every piece has been thought about. It has a rustic feel, rather than too modern, so the you feel like you are able to enjoy the surroundings rather than tip toe around. Judith makes you feel extremely welcome. She is on hand with expert advice about the area and restaurants. The pool is a stunning area to relax by and with views out over the hills you feel as though you are truly away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Because it is set in a quiet village there are very few tourists around and there is a lot of space making it feel big and open (a welcome change from living in busy London!). The breakfast is a real highlight as it is served on the terrace overlooking the hills. The food is delicious but I don't want to say too much as its good to leave some surprises! My second trip was just as good as the first and I will definitely be returning.

My husband and I ended our three week Europe trip at L’escale Du Ciel for three nights and it was more than we ever dreamed it would be. The moment we walked up to the bed & breakfast and got greeted by the owner, Judith and her two dogs, we immediately felt a sense of calmness and peace. ||||Judith is the most remarkable host, she creates the most beautiful breakfast every morning and you can eat it outside on the terrace with the most unbelievable view of the nearby village and mountains. ||||Each room is perfectly designed and everything was kept very clean. The pool area is perfect on a warm day to swim and lay out. The dogs (Cookie & Max) are the friendliest and sweetest and they make the stay even more amazing! ||||You can easily walk into the nearest town for dinner or there are many hilltop towns 20 minutes driving... it’s the most perfect location! ||||Judith would light candles all around the property as the sun goes down which would make the b&b become even more dreamy! This place is an absolute gem and we cannot wait to go back!

This was such a beautiful place, the landscape, the decor, and a view of the gorges from the property. Judith was a lovely hostess who was very kind, helped us with suggestions, and made us feel at home. Breakfast every morning is included and there are two friendly dogs (Mac and Cookie) who make the stay enjoyable too! If you are looking for a relaxing time away from crowds but with the beach not too far away, this is the place to stay!

We stayed last week in this great B&B in Le Bar sur Loup. We instantly fell in love with the nice interior. Also the garden and swimming pool are perfect. Different spots to enjoy the environment. And don’t forget the good host Judith (and here lovely two dogs), who made our stay even better. She is taken care for a warm welcome and an excellent breakfast! (and my special cappuccino in the morning ;-) ) She is speaking English, German and French. Secondly, she can arrange massages, reservations for nice restaurants and has always inside tips for the Cote D’Azure. You can go to Cannes (30minutes), Nice (45 minutes), Menton (60 minutes) or Saint Tropez (1 hour and 45 minutes). Of course there are a lot of small villages around worth a visit like Valbonne, Saint Paul de Vence and Mougins.||||Keep in mind that this B&B is up in the hills and you need to have some drivers experience :-) For hiking it is perfect.

I stayed for 3 nights at L’Escale du Ciel. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the garden and the house. Judith was such an excellent host - so kind and welcoming, approachable and helpful. The house is set up beautifully with such style and the quality of the furnishings and fittings is luxurious. Breakfast each morning was lovely. I loved her 2 dogs, who were the sweetest companions when I was relaxing in the garden. This was the best BnB experience I’ve ever had. Even though it’s a long trip to make from Australia, I’d go back just to stay here

Beautifully decorated, gorgeous views and wonderful hostess! Breakfasts on the terrace were plentiful and delicious, don't over plan your stay as you will definitely want afternoons by the pool. Dinner in town at Le Donjon was a great recommendation. This is a perfect location for day trips but you may find it difficult to leave. We only wished we could have stayed longer!
