Leticia's Mexican Restaurant

Heard a lot of good things about this place but was not really impressed tbh. Took a bite of the barbacoa and it was sooo fatty. I don't mind some fat and grease but this one was overboard. Salsa didn't have much flavor no matter how much I added. Tortillas were hard on the edges. Potato and egg was good and the service was good! Wanted to really like this place but I'm not sure I would be returning, sadly.

Ok this place is pretty bipolar when it comes to restaurants. On one hand the food is pretty good but the service absolutely sucks. I'm being nice right now. The waitress will treat you like you're bothering them and you will almost be completely ignored. I've been here 3 times the last 2 weeks and it's the same thing. Today I sat for 10 minutes without anyone coming to me. The couple that came in behind me had their drinks and the order was taken. This place needs a little training on food service. I wouldn't go back they lost me .

Just today we went to Lithia's.For the first time we had sat at a booth against the wall.There were gnats on top of the coffee mate coffee creamer and on the ketch up bottles We brought it to the waitress attention and she didn't seem to be worried about it at all. We had already ordered our food and we only nibbled on chips and our water. We decided to move to another table, but by then our stomachs were kind of turned. So we decided we would let them know that we were just gonna pass on the food and want it to pay for our chips.That we nibbled, so the manager.I think who was the owner possibly came up to us and said is something wrong and we said yes we brought it to his attention about the gnats And he got very, very extremely angry and said that some white people were eating and that same booth before us and they did not complain. And that we were the only ones to complain. So I told him let's go show you the gnats on the table and on the wall. And he said no I don't need to see nothing so I said okay. Well, if you won't let us pay for the water we must leave. We also ate chips. And so he said no and we started to walk out. And he called his names in Spanish. I don't want to say what names he called us, but they were disgusting. And it was take Spanish that he called us bad names and we were already out the door and he was still yelling. Does we were too elderly Hispanic? Women just trying to have lunch there and I want. People to know this because we would have gone back another day. Because we live in the neighborhood. But when he called his names that was not acceptable a manager. Or an owner from an establishment like this should not do that. He should either apologize or make it better for us one way or another. But it was wrong what he did, and it was embarrassing on his part for him to behave like that and he is an older man.What what a shame

I love this place. Always great fast service and the food is so good. After eating 3 amazing tacos, fresh chips and incredible green and red salsas and your bill is $4? Yep, you’re happy

My waitress was humbly nice and pretty quick to bring out any request I had. However, the ambient of the place was a bit dirty. As soon as you walk in the place feels hot and humid and a bit smelly. The table we sat on was not cleaned and the walls and seat were very dirty. There was paint peeling off from the walls, and it seems like they try to cover it with dusty decorative potraits. My table was really wobly to were the coffee was spilled from a little woble. The order came out pretty quick but I found melted plastic in my taco! Over all the food wasn't bad but it tasted a bit old and the lemonade had an expired taste to it. At payout the register woman tipped herself out of the total she gave me without my consent. I payed in cash so that I won't be charged a debit fee and still a dollar was place in the tip jar by the register from the total amount she charged me.

Every dish I have had at Leticia’s is Absolutely delicious! Each time I go, I try something different always satisfying - has that homemade taste you really want! They do not disappoint! Beautiful family restaurant ❤️

This place has an awesome breakfast selection IMO every breakfast items on their menu is super delicious. My all time favorite is the Manager's special.

Homemade flour tortillas large portions & very affordable we highly recommend a Great old fashion Mexican Restaurant

Excellent service & excellent food. Not expensive at all. Tortillas were freshly made. Waitress filled my coffee more 3 times. My cup was always full. Will definitely be going back!

Delicious Food, great Service, and a welcoming ambiance. My favorite is the Huevos Rancheros plate with Bacon.

Drove by saw a bunch of cars they were about to close but still let us in first time there got great service no attitude our waitress was super friendly. The owner came over and said hello. Our food was delicious hot fresh tortillas. I would definitely recommend this place and did I mention it was our first time there.

Came here for lunch to get a break from a rough morning. The girl at the register was so rude. She acted like I was an inconvenience to her. She forgot to add my lemonade onto my bill and when I told her about it she said "Well the minimum is $5" like what the heck you were the one who made the mistake in not charging me for everything. So she went and asked the owner and he "approved" it. The fideo I ordered ended up sucking too. Which just made my day even more crappy. I've only come in the past for breakfast tacos because they are good but I hate supporting a restaurant that has crappy customer service so will no longer come here. I understand that I'm one person and it won't mean much to them if I don't dine at their restaurant but maybe leaving this review would sway someone from having to experience the same thing I did.

Real good homemade tortillas probably the best I've ever had! Their potato and egg here is really good so this their bean and cheese. Keep it up!

Came here to get bean and cheese chalupas The total came out to $6.38 but according to the menu it's $3 & and some change. Don't understand why they charged me extra. Fuck it won't be going back

The food is amazing! Always hot service is usually on point! Parking is a horrible situation, but worth going to eat, I'd probably avoid the weekends!

The food was good, the decor is on the nicer side walking in. Not a whole lot to mention from the outside, don't let this deceive you. The two best aspects were the salsa rojo which is charred a bit for better flavor (a favorite) and homemade corn tortillas. Service today was less than mediocre but that won't stop a second visit

So not happy with today's visit. Not because I wasn't greeted or the fact that my waiters took a little longer with our drinks. It was the fact that I was served chips and salsa but the salsa had a long piece of gray/blond hair in it . Not on top of it but inside the salsa. GROSS !! I told another waitress about the hair and to please take the fiod away and to advice the owner who is the cashier of the issue. My waitress or the other waitress never came back to say anything else about it , I had to ask what happened when the owner was advised she said she knows now. Ugh !! When I go to pay I ask the owner/cashier if she was aware and she said yes and that it was probably the waitress hair , I'm like how can that be if it was inside of the salsa. She then pointed to the cooks in the back with hair nets , and was not sure how the hair got there. My hair is jet back , and my moms hair is short and gray. So i made She she was aware it was not us . Again she came up with other reasons as to how it might have happened. I don't care how , I care that they remove it and stop serving the rest of the guess that was eating the same salsa I was served. Oh well I paid my full bill and left so upset. I'm not coming back that's for sure.

They just received a 59 on their health inspection , not sure what else you need to know about this place .

BODY SHAMING STAFF - while serving as a food vendor for a local business, the owner/cashier insulted me and called me an offensive name in Spanish to her staff. This behavior is unprofessional and was reported to the food services coordinator for the business.

My family and I have passed by numerous times and it always seems to be packed so we finally decided to see what Leticias is all about! My daughter got the 2 beef enchiladas and 2 crispy tacos. She ate the two crispy tacos fine. Said they were good. But when she got to the enchiladas she had a different opinion. She said the cheese tasted funny and it didn't taste good overall. My husband got the enchiladas verdes. It look ok. Nothing special about the presentation, no garnish no nothing. Said the chicken was ok some flavor the verde sauce is ok a little bit spicy but nothing overwhelming. I got the Mexican plate which came which 2 beef enchiladas 1 crispy taco n rice beans salad. The crispy taco was good. The ground beef was mediocre. Not too much flavor and when I picked up the taco so much oil n juices ran out. LIKE ALOT OF JUICES CAME OUT!! The lettuce n tomatoe was good, fresh and crisp. The enchiladas also to me tasted a bit funny. I personally think it was the sauce they use. Not a carne gyisada type sauce but also not the enchiladas type sauce either. It was an orange red cream colored sauce that had a bit of a tang to it. Meat again to me is bland. Only salt n pepper it taste like. The rice! Omg I give the 3 stars based on the rice n beans alone. It did have so much flavor like authentic Mexican rice my mom made. The beans are really good and alot of flavor. My daughter tried some of mine and wanted a bean taco as well. Overall $27 for ok food. We won't be returning anytime soon and we definitely won't be writing home abt this! The service was a bit slow as well. It took almost 5 to 7 minutes to get menus and place out drink orders then another 3 to 5 minutes to get our 3 teas and place our food order. After that it was about a 10 minute wait for our food. Throughout eating was only asked once if we needed anything which my husband asks for more tea. By the end of the meal my husband and I were both out of tea and thirsty. We drank my daughter's tea. Lol. Won't be recommending.

In a city like San Antonio, where you can find Mexican food at every corner, Leticia's stands out above and beyond. Hands down, the absolute best huevos rancheros I've had in years. My eggs (over hard) have been cooked perfectly every single time. No crunch edges, just delicious eggs, with a fully cooked yolk. The beans and papas are perfect. Ranchero sauce is flavorful and enhances, not overpowers the entire plate. The salsa served on the side is fresh and hot! Tortillas are dusty and fluffy. My new favorite breakfast dive, for sure. Don't judge by the outside, lack of decorations. Inside, it's sparkling clean, bright and lovely.

Great Food! They are pricey but the food is great and the tortillas are on point. If you want quick this is not the place to go to, because they do take their time. The parking is never available.

Save your money!! I found a little bug in my food and when I pointed it out the waitstaff she laughed and walked away to get her manager. The manager came over with an attitude and pretty much told me to get over it and leave. Horrible place. Nasty!!!

Horrible service Gisselle was our waitress she was rude and disrespectful. I have been coming here for years and wouldn't have thought the Trevinos would hire a waitress this rude. You are losing customers because of her attitude and poor service.

Leticias Restaurant was recommended by my Airbnb.com host for an authentic Mexican breakfast. I had breakfast here 2 days in a row. the first day I knew this would be good when I saw 3 police motorcycles parked out front and found the policemen dining inside. The first day I had the manager's special with eggs sunny side up. The eggs were nice and runny and easy to sop up with the homemade corn tortillas. my second day I had the machacado plate. I was not familiar with that dish so I looked it up on Wikipedia. From what i read it's a dish that originated in Mexico and is very popular in Texas. It consists of shredded dried beef scrambled with eggs and vegetables. It had a great beefy flavor and went really well with the salsa on the side. The wait staff are super friendly and kept my coffee cup filled. if I lived in San Antonio I would be visiting this place at least once a week.

Great homemade Mexican food! Very quaint , Staff is very welcoming and consistent like the food! Happy to have found a daily place to hit for breakfast or lunch!

Just have to say that we have been going there for over 20 Yrs. And not once have we had bad service or been disappointed with food, regardless of the plate. My favorite Bkfast is huevos rancheros with carne ranchera. the red salsa with chips is great.

Normally we get great service not this time our waitress was unattractive and even had a weird attitude. She bright sauces but wanted to charge for chips. Have been coming here for decades now we won't come back - her name is yury

Tried this place the other day when I was craving breakfast taco's as it was convenient to my house. Overall it wasn't bad. The bean and cheese was very good. The salsa was tasteless and had no heat behind it. But overall, the Potato & Egg and the Bean & Cheese were great. The Country Sausage & Egg was ok, but the sausage didn't taste that great.

It was my first time. Great food, small family restaurant and fast service. The chips and salsa were a added bonus! Will be coming to get my tacos here now.
