Offers amazing cakes, coffee, and a flower-filled atmosphere
"Perfect for anyone who’s been dreaming of that Matilda cake since they were six-years-old, the old fashioned chocolate cake from L’eto is a four-tier thing of beauty with chocolate cream and raspberry between each layer. In case you’re having a sugar crash just reading this, know that the raspberries cut through the richness and there’s a variety of other options available too. There’s also plenty of seating in this flower-filled Soho spot." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, sinead cranna
"One of our top choices when it comes to chocolate cake, L’eto is a west London mini-chain of aesthetically pleasing cafes with cakes that actually taste as good as they look. In keeping with its OTT cake display, the iced coffees arrive to your table looking like a science experiment. Picture a glass filled with black coffee ice cubes, another beaker-type glass filled with warm milk, and another little glass beaker filled with condensed milk. Pour it all over the ice cubes and you’ve got a very sweet iced coffee. The coffee feels secondary in this little experiment, so we’d say it’s perfect for someone who likes theatre with their drinks, rather than someone who “just can’t” before their morning caffeine fix." - rianne shlebak, oliver feldman
"“If recreating the chocolate cake scene from this Roald Dahl adaptation isn’t on your bucket list, then we’re going to assume that you haven’t seen Matilda. Or you were too busy trying to move the TV remote with your mind to take in just how huge and sickeningly satisfying it looked when Bruce ate it with his hands. And if eating a chocolate cake the size of a car tyre is supposed to be a punishment, then why has it been in the back of our minds since we were six years old? And where can we get one? L’eto Caffe’s Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake is where you can, and should get one. Think chocolate sponge cake, with chocolate cream and raspberry layers and a shiny chocolate glaze. Eating this cake while watching Matilda is the ultimate power move. Do it for your six-year-old self. Eat the cake.” - RS" - oliver feldman, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"Arrival time: next-day delivery to certain London postcodes There’s cake and then there are L’Eto’s cakes. Think honey cake as thick as a brick, layered cherry cake, and a raspberry meringue cake we want to frame and eat at the same time. This seriously good Soho spot also makes our favourite chocolate cake in London, with four tiers of cake layered with chocolate cream and raspberry." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak
"Despite our love for chocolate cake, finding one that doesn’t disappoint can be a challenge. So much so that since we came across L’eto and its Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake on a late-night sugar search in Soho, we’ve struggled to find one better. It’s a four-tier cake with chocolate cream and raspberry between each chocolate cake layer, covered with chocolate glazing, raspberry crumble, and major Matilda energy. It’s moist, even more so thanks to the berry compote, plus the fresh raspberry makes the richness less overwhelming and adds a nice fruity tang. Perfect for chocolate lovers, cake lovers, and Roald Dahl fans who have been dreaming of that cake since they were six years-old." - rianne shlebak, daisy meager
