Google
An outstanding place for Mexican food. I write a lot of reviews and usually leave positive feedback. The problem with doing that is when there is an exceptional restaurant, I can only give it 5 stars. I came here on a whim after driving to the Reading area on a Sunday night. By complete accident, I walked in seeing the "taco" flag outside. Let me be clear, this is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. They call it "dynasty", but you may know it as "al pastor" and it is out of this world delicious. Like better than the district taco al pastor I had when I lived in Washington DC. Highly recommended. Bring your appetite. Let's definitely "taco" bout it.

Google
i went here a few months ago but i still remembered it tasted so good, GET THE QUESADILLA AND ELOTE THE ELOTE IS SO GOOD, 10/10

Google
Tacos were great! I tried the chicken, chorizo, and port w/ pineapple and liked them all. The location was nice on Penn. the restaurant was clean. Surprised that there were not more people for a 6pm on a Saturday but I won’t complain :)

Google
The food is amazing! I travel all over the country for work and this is my favorite Mexican spot beating even Texas! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and the dining is always fast! The ladies that run it are great with the service!

Google
Went back more recently and it was wonderful. I had the senor Ramon tacos that the bits of grilled pineapple go well with the meat. My favorite is the corn though! Got some horchata but, with all the powder that didn't mix well at the bottom of the cup, I would pass.

Teresa

Google
Probably the best place around here for tacos. I really enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the views of West Reading. Tacos were tasty. I did order extra avocado slices but didn’t receive any but overall, it was still good.

Google
This food is flipping amazing! Mouth watering Quesadillas, delicious guac and awesome Burritos!! By far one if the nest restaurants in this area!! A must eat!

Kendra

Google
All I know is $13 for guac is insane. Its mexican food. Not the best French bistro on the Rue du Cherche. Offer smaller portions for a less price. Yikes

Yelp
Delicious food with fresh ingredients. The horchata is absolutely amazing! It has to be one of my favorite beverages in Berks County. The interior dining area is relatively small and clean, though I would not recommend it for large gatherings. I thoroughly enjoyed the "get that corn outta my face" and was thankful to have the option for it in a bowl (otherwise I wouldn't have tried it.) it was a unique blend of flavors and textures that had me questioning the first bite or two, but the more I ate it, the more I liked it. (If you get the bowl, I recommend stirring it up first to evenly distribute the ingredients.) Service was prompt and courteous when they brought each of the meals to our table. This is a counter style establishment, so that was appreciated. The theme of the restaurant focuses on the Nacho Libre movie (menu items named after key movie points) and other movies focused on luchadores. It is unfortunate that the thumb wrestling rings never returned to the tables following Covid. This is a fun and laidback place to grab a quick bite. I love the quirky atmosphere and the delicious food. My recommendation would be to go during down times so you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere without the wait.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. quick service, good menu choices, ambiance was normal nothing crazy, just a small taco shop. i got the pollo burrito, good sized but had a massive rip in it so all the inside spilled out. the taste was good like a 7/10. you get 2 sauces with it that were a great spicy when paired with the slightly bland burrito
google avatar

Yelp
We had take out so can't really say much about the service or ambience. But both seemed average. The food was great. My daughter said it's her current favorite place in Reading. I got the Huaraches Al Pastor seasoned pork grilled with pineapple & cooked onions) and my daughter and husband got the alpastor and chicken burritos, respectively. The tortillas for my huaraches was made from scratch but since it was corn flavored I wasn't a huge fan. I should have probably just gotten the burrito. Everything was fresh and tasty.

Michael D.

Yelp
Delicious for for a reasonable price. The place has great atmosphere with it's plethora of Santo movie posters and paintings of grappling luchadores.

Donna V.

Yelp
We absolutely love the food here - our favorites are the Al Pastor Tacos, the Stretchy Pants Gordita, the Anaconda Squeeze and their fresh salsa! We try to find great taco places everywhere we go Let's Taco Bout It is the Best!!! The food is fresh, the seasoning complex and delicious , and the menu is just large enough to try new items every time we come! The team and the prices are great too! 5 Stars!

Joseph D.

Yelp
The girls, service is always great here. Tacos are amazing, every time I've come here it's always the same! I would recommend this 10/10 Affordable and authentic
google avatar

Yelp
Food's still excellent, and so are the staff. Seriously, they're always courteous and friendly. The worst part, and I mean WORST part of eating here are the damn runners that bombard this place as a pit stop in the evening of the day. I'll never understand why they're allowed to do that. They swamp the entrance, take up tables both outside and inside when they're not even eating anything. They're sweaty, get in people's way, rude, inconsiderate, loud, and more. This is a restaurant, not a freakin' gym! FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO MEET UP FOR THIS. This is a RESTAURANT, folks should be able to come in and eat in PEACE after a long day. I love and support this place, but for the love of God those runners gotta go!

Debra S.

Yelp
Love this place! I had the chicken tacos. They were delicious and authentic! The service was fast and very pleasant.

Yelp
The staff was SO friendly and helpful! The food was delicious and came out quick. It was perfect for an impromptu lunch.

Yelp
Very pleased with the service, and the taste and quality of the food. The ceviche is delicious! It comes with tortilla chips. I also tried a chorizo taco, and I must say it's the best chorizo taco I've had around here! Will come again!

Yelp
I found this place via Instagram and I've been seeing a lot of small businesses selling Birria Tacos... so after my first experience, thank you to Taco Club Hawaii, I knew I wanted to try others. If you find Let's Taco 'bout it on Instagram, keep in mind that they are super brand new and they are so grateful for local support! Ordering was easy- I looked at the posted menu for tonight's pick up and placed my order through direct message. I arranged payment and pick up time with Kylie who then let me know where to go for the pick up. She responds quick to messages so no worries! Pickups are Fridays and some Sundays so just ask!. I waited a short while at our pick up spot and Kylie came out with the box in a package and I was on the way! Oh my gosh the smell in the car was so good I almost pulled over to open it and start eating. But the smart side of me knows that I'm a messy eater and I just got my car vacuumed. Plus, I really try not to eat in the car as much as possible. Well, can you imagine the hunger when I got home! I remembered to take photos! Since I've never had from Mexico, authentic Birria Tacos, my experience is only what I've seen posted on social media and the plate I had last weekend. Plate presentation: +++ it is very nicely packaged didnt shift during the drive. Taco: still had some crunch to it and the shell wasn't greasy. Toppings: I used it all! Consommé: tasty but not salty. I liked the flavor! I did have a little spoon to scoop it into the taco but I also dipped it as I ate. Mess: I used 3 napkins but I didn't dribble sauce on myself and the paper wasn't soaked when I was done. I was a cleaner eater tonight... or maybe just ate fast. I don't know. The first taco I took my time squeezing the lime and opening the taco to put cilantro and onions and scooped some of the consommé then took small bites, dipping it as I went. The rest I just went monster and squeezed the limes over and basically devoured the tacos like someone was going to come and take it away. Did I like it!? What do you think?! I would definitely buy from Kylie again! In addition to tacos, there is also Birria Grilled Cheese so that is another thing on my running list of food to try. She is a sweet gal and I love supporting small business!

Yelp
Cute interior and good service. The food was so-so though - I felt like everything could have had more flavor and spice. My favorite things were the chips and guac/salsa - large portions, but the salsa I wish was more spicy and flavorful and the guac was pretty good, maybe a touch more lime and salt in my opinion. I got 2 tacos - one with the pineapple pork and the other was carne asada. The meet was crispy and a bit on the drier side; didn't love either too much. Partner got the anaconda squeeze burrito which I liked better personally.
google avatar

Lindsay L.

Yelp
Cute little place located right on the main street in West Reading. You seat yourself and then order at the counter. We got two orders of the Stretchy Pants which was a fried corn tortilla with lettuce, tomato, cheese, avocado and sour cream and we asked for chicken. It was actually really good, I'd probably get it again if I'm in the area and visit here again. Price was $7, not bad. Overall 4/5 stars, not my favorite Mexican restaurant personally, but would like to try other items on the menu in the future.
google avatar

Dhayibeth V.

Yelp
Service was good, food not so much. We had the burritos, and the black beans and the corn tasted like they were right out of a can and the cheese tasted so cheap. Also the rice was not fluffy, it was all wet. When I have to say Taco Bell is better, that's when you know a Mexican restaurant is falling short.
google avatar

Brandy B.

Yelp
Absolute MUST TRY! We ordered all of the tacos on the menu and the cheeps and salsa, and the rice and beans. You get HUGE portions and again, everything was beyond expectations. They don't serve alcohol, so we just grabbed a to-go on our way to sit on Penn Ave

Alec H.

Yelp
My favorite Mexican place. Nice fast service. Everyone is always polite and helpful on staff. Great great food, and great prices! Awesome vibe inside. Nice that there is an outside too to sit in the summer. As always go try it yourself!
google avatar

Waneeza M.

Yelp
Carne asada. Carne asada. Carne asada. Carne asada tacos with the green salsa. These are my FAVORITE tacos with fresh corn tortillas. They are fresh and tasty. They're a little over priced since there's so many cheaper local places nearby. But they've convenience right on Penn Ave and the location makes them worth it .
google avatar

Liz M.

Yelp
This is my favorite taco place. It never disappoints. Literally recommended anything on the menu!

Jacob M.

Yelp
I love a great street taco experience. These hit the spot. 100% worth the trip if in the Reading/Hershey area. Though not as authentic, the quality, taste of flavors, and vibe kill it. Food is more of a 3.75/5 but for being in the area and quality bump it up
google avatar

Tanishka T.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in the area (the food is a fairly Americanized take on Mexican, but delicious nonetheless). Service is always wonderful and they are more than accommodating if you have allergies or require modifications to your meal. Portions are great, food is fairly priced, and the luchador theme creates a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend the "Taste of Glory", it's so good!
google avatar

Yelp
Fast service. Good food. And located conveniently on Lancaster Avenue. Staff is extremely helpful
google avatar

Naiesha M.

Yelp
Second time trying and still wasn't a fan. The rice was good and flavorful. Ordered the chicken tacos and the chicken wasn't flavorful to me at all. Not a fan of corn tortillas. Wish there were options in which tortilla you prefer. It's a nice little spot to give a try.
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
Decent tacos in West Reading. The corn tortilla maintained too much grit. The pork and pineapple was nicely seasoned, but over-executed and lacking a fat/savoury flavor profile. The chicken was likewise slightly over-executed and without unique and intense flavor profiling.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried their food while at the West Reading Fall Fest. They offered either the Walking Taco or the Nitty Gritty Pretzel Dog. I think these were special items as I don't see them on their normal menu. Nitty Gritty Pretzel Dog: got the works, minus the hot pepper. It looked delicious so I had to try. It was just okay. I think if they had a better tasting sausage it would be off the chain! The sausage didn't have much flavor so the toppings didn't add anything to it (your typical taco toppings.) Love the concept though! May have to go in the restaurant to try other items so I can update this review.

Berks County Foods C.

Yelp
Very cute place, but food is a little underwhelming. The portions can be tiny and the quesadillas aren't very good. Chips/salsa and guac are very good though

Yelp
This has become my girlfriend & I's new go to spot. It's right across the street so we always walk there. Since she moved in July she's been probably once or twice a week, and I can say the same will be happening for me now that I'm here. FOOD: The tacos are so good and piping hot when you get them. They are very small so it really gives me that authentic feel. I love the pastor ones and I also enjoy their elote (corn) AMBIANCE: Like I said my girlfriend is a regular so when she comes in they greet her very friendly. If you dine in you will get a waitress for your table. The restaurant is small-medium sized so I was surprised to have a waitress but they do. All in all this is a great place with great customer service and food.
google avatar

Dana M.

Yelp
Must try!!! Delicious & fast! Made to order! Homemade guacamole and salsa! Staff is really nice. Indoor & outdoor seating. Free fountain refills and they carry Jarritos!

Yelp
Can't wait to get back to this place! I seriously can't keep up with the number of new restaurants opening up in West Reading, It's not a bad problem to have. First and foremost, Let's Taco Bout It is bold. How else would you describe a Mexican restaurant that schedules a February grand opening in Pennsylvania? But more than that, the menu is bold. The ingredients are bold. The flavors are bold. If you put "taco" in your name, you better serve up some unbelievable tacos. Fortunately, Let's Taco Bout It delivers, offering up a selection of no less than 10 variations. When I visit a local place for the first time, I tend to go overboard with my order. I get as much as I can possibly eat in one sitting and then some, because I want to try as many things as possible. There was a place I went to a few months back where I ordered two sandwiches and a burrito. The cashier asked, "This isn't all for you, right?" I replied, "Hahaha of course not," as I shiftily looked around the room, laughing nervously. So yeah, on my very first visit, I ordered two tacos, a quesadilla, and a luchador, which is a grilled 12-inch tortilla filled with cheese, meat, cilantro, onions, and avocado. The two tacos would have sufficed. The quesadilla pushed me close to my limit. Adding the luchador to the mix put me in a food coma that I didn't come out of until early evening. Tacos are double-wrapped in warm tortillas. This adds much appreciated re-enforced infrastructure to each taco. I think I'll pass on the luchadors in the future. The tortilla has a cornbread-like consistency, and it's just, you know, really heavy. The tortilla easily makes up more than half of the dish - think of this as a Mexican calzone, if you will. TL:DR - This place uses fresh, local ingredients. It embraces the West Reading communal mindset. Taco aficionados will rejoice. Taco haters (if there is such a thing) will complain and write to their senators.

Yelp
Great little taco place! It was a cool little restaurant. We ordered the ceviche and 'Get that corn out of my face' for starters. The Mexican corn was a first for me and it was better than I ever expected. The ceviche was good but nothing too crazy. We then ordered three tacos, cactus, steak, and a pork. They had small corn tortillas that were packed with delicious meat/cactus. Then followed up with the steak luchador which wasn't anything too special. Definitely worth the visit. Get the corn!
google avatar

Werner P.

Yelp
I'll start by saying that we came on a weeknight and the restaurant had most of its 8 or so tables filled. They only had 2 people on staff (a cook and a runner) and you could see that they were working their tails off, so much appreciation to them. As for the tacos, I ordered 4 kinds. The tortillas themselves were nice and soft and tasty, but the filling was dry, flavorless, overcooked. The red and green salsas that they included really helped out, though. The tacos were packed pretty well, so the portion sizes were appropriate for the price. The wait for take-out was really long (25 minutes, easily), so call ahead.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Amazing food!! I order the taste of the glory most of the time! The chicken is amazing, so fresh and delicious thank you

Yelp
I passed by this place many times and for some reason didn't think it would be very good... I was very wrong. On a beautiful day their outside seating was full so we got a to go order to take over to the Barley Mow. Carne Asada and the pork w/ pineapple tacos were so delicious. The 13 year old daughter was still talking about how good her chicken burrito was later that night. The wife really liked the stuffed tortilla. The salsa tasted like it was made from garden veggies that day, so fresh! And, to top it off all the people in there were friendly and looked happy.
google avatar

Brooke S.

Yelp
1)The pineapple pork tacos... If this is anywhere in the realm of possibility for your palette (some people are literally offended by pineapple for some stupid reason), do yourself a favor and do it. I've tried all the meat tacos, they were all good- but I am coming back for the pork/pineapple tacos. 2) The little sauces they give you for the tacos are slamming and unique. They're packed with flavor! The lime really draws the flavor out of the sauces. 3) I get 3 tacos. The taco shells are doubled up. If you pull the two soft shells apart, you can easily get a 4th taco out of it. If you stuff them with a little rice and beans, likely even 5! Highly, highly recommend. My favorite place for tacos!
google avatar

Yelp
Quick, casual, delicious...check We obviously came here because of the Yelp reviews. I didn't think Reading would have a good taco spot, but I was pleasantly surprised! It was a very casual, mom and pop joint serving up some delicious Mexican food. We started with the Stretchy pants - which was a stuffed corn tortilla...which was overall just okay The tacos are where it's at though... The chicken and chorizo tacos are fantastic, simple, and tasty. The food was made fresh to order and packed with flavor. Quick and good service. Definitely worth stopping by for a bite.

Kianna A.

Yelp
Came across this cute Mexican food joint after not wanting to wait in line at Beer Wall for an hour and wow was it a blessing in disguise. We ordered a fried rolled taco and the corn on the cob, and it filled our bellies and full of authentic flavors! If we didn't live so far, we would be frequent flyers!
google avatar

Vicki G.

Yelp
We eat here once a week! Great people and amazing food. We love their tacos and guacamole. I like the luchador also. Great flavors in everything. Don't forget a sweet horchata to drink!
google avatar

Jaq D.

Yelp
I have eaten here many times and every time I do the food is delicious. Tonight we tried the luchadores for the first time. Wow. The tortillas are almost fluffy. But not quite. We asked our sever if they are homemade and were informed they were made about 10min before we ordered. I had the pork and it was so flavorful with a slight crisp. I'm not sure how to describe the dish...part burrito part quesadilla? Delicious. Everything tastes so fresh. They have two hot sauces which taste home made and the guacamole is nice and chunky (homemade). This place is also great for take out. Call ahead and pick it up. Whatever you order I'm sure you will love it!
google avatar

Dayna R.

Yelp
10/10 for flavor, 2/10 for portion size. If you're really, really hungry... go down the road to the other Mexican joint, because you will leave here still hungry. No free chips and salsa, so that's also an issue... not to mention $6 guacamole. That being said, everything tasted phenomenal. The al pastor and the cactus tacos were amazing, as was the expensive guac. The beans and rice were delicious but would have tasted better if they came with my tacos as a meal. The service was great, and I would definitely go back, but I would make sure to eat something before I came, so I'm not scarfing down everything that's placed in front of me within 5 seconds. Also, fair warning- I can handle heat, but that red salsa is muy caliente!
google avatar

B K.

Yelp
Best Taco Tuesday deal in Reading! Go for the tacos, but don't sleep on the guac and street corn!
google avatar

Rob D.

Yelp
Let's get down to the nitty gritty, who is this... Let's Taco Bout It? This is real Mexican food. Not Taco Bell, and less Tex Mex and they occasionally have (rarely seen) real Mexican street vendor style tacos!!!The luchador theme is also quite awesome. This stuff is mostly from scratch and quite delicious. These guys are awesome. They serve the lords chips, ;-) Be a little patient as you are not getting the mass produced stuff and it comes from the heart. Real foodies take note for a more authentic experience, come here.

Yelp
Say "Hola!" to your new go-to Mexican restaurant, people. If you're looking for a real, authentic, Mexican restaurant without the hassle of actually going to Mexico...then this is the place for you. I was looking for something unique to eat on a Friday evening in West Reading when I stumbled upon this newly opened taco-truck-esque restaurant. What really sold me? The fact that they had cactus (Also known as nopal) on the menu. I had only dreamed of biting into a juicy cactus and now I was granted the opportunity. I walked in on a moderately busy Friday - all of the outdoor tables were taken and few parties were scattered around the restaurant. I was immediately greeted by three very friendly staff members, who proceeded to inquire about my familiarity with the restaurant. I was given a sample (how often does that happen when you're ordering food?!?!) of the cactus in a small plastic cup to try before I decided on ordering a Luchador, half cactus, half carne asada. They may be the most expensive item on the menu, but they are very filling and oh so flavorful. I soaked the cactus half in green sauce, the carne asada half in red sauce and went to work with a fork and knife. The flavors of the cactus and green sauce had me salivating for hours afterward. Just thinking about it now makes me want to run over and order one! The tortillas are beautiful corn flour tortillas that give the meal an authentic consistency and taste. Not for everyone, especially those who love plain tortillas, but certainly unique. The red sauce was a bit too spicy for me, but I do have a lot heat tolerance in general. I'm excited to go back soon and try out the rest of the menu. But from my first experience, I can safely say we will be Taco-ing (hah) about this restaurant for years to come. Hoping to see some live music in the future maybe? A little mariachi never hurt nobody!

Kevin R.

Yelp
Loved!! It wasn't mind blowing but everything was delicious!!! Chips and guacamole amazing!! Tacos yum! Burrito wow!! The place was pretty awesome Just not a bad thing to say about it.

Karin W.

Yelp
Rames taco was literally a blob of meat on a soggy tortilla. no lettuce or tomatoes. disgusting. one bite and in the trash.
google avatar

Mariann B.

Yelp
Ok so Let's Taco Bout It is awesomeeeeeeee. The tacos are a bit like street tacos small and yummy! The guacamole and salsa are fresh and the service is great. Delish food and really great atmosphere. Little hidden gem in Reading!

Cristina D.

Yelp
Horrible service lied and told me my food was delivered twice when it wasn't and I would have understood if I was told they were busy waited 2hrs for food
google avatar

Ronald S.

Yelp
Food is delicious. I return frequently for my fix of steak&chicken burrito. Great menu! It has items named from "Nacho Libre". Stretchy Pants is the dish name for tacos
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
Delicious tacos!!! Will definitely be back, very impressed!! I got the carne asada tacos which were delicious. We also got guacamole, salsa and chips. A friend tried the pork and pineapple and said they were very enjoyable!

Yelp
let's talk about let's taco bout it shall we? If you're looking for delicious tacos at great prices, you've found the right place. The Senor Ramon is one of my favorites. The guacamole is awesome. The quesadilla is delicious. They have Mexican Coke which is amazing and tastes like Coke used to taste like. Service is always fast and your food comes out pretty quickly. My only knock against this place is the salsa chips cost $3 and the salsa is super bland. Almost like they don't use any hot peppers or good backbone flavors. Just tastes like tomatoes and onions.
