We first tried the amaro at a local restaurant and knew we had to find more of it. We had a flight and a couple drinks and it was all really great! Especially love the amaro and brought home a few bottles.

Sarah Larsen

Google
Not only is this some of my favorite amaro, they also over a wide variety of other products too! We came in to the tasting room for a full tasting and the woman who helped us was very kind and knowledgeable. The other patrons and some external circumstances threw some challenging curve balls her way, and she was compassionate and a professional throughout. I will be back, both for the exceptional service and the fantastic amaro!

Google
I don't know how I have never visited here. This place is AMAZING! If you enjoy Amaro you MUST MUST stop here. The owner, Skip, has an amazing palate. Not only the spirits but the cocktails are amazing too. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of the drinks because they were so good that I forgot to take photos. We had a great time chatting with Skip and having a nice drink. We will be back many times in the future.

Great cocktails available, made with their own amazing liqueurs!

This place reminds me of what Seattle used to be. It has heart and character; incredible craftsmanship; not too pretentious, and absolutely great. If you're looking for a chill experience and fantastic booze, look no further.

Google
Great distillery if you want to try something different. Has a good selection of cellos including lemon, grapefruit & blood orange and a range of Amaro apéritifs that will please a range of tastes. Flights were fun and cocktails were really flavorful as well. Highly recommend as something to drink in SoDo!

Google
Letterpress is a MUST VISIT whether you’re destined for one of the nearby stadiums, or just a fan of craft/local distillers. Don’t let the gravel driveway fool you; this is a prime spot to try the best cocktails, amari, and lemoncello this side of the globe. Skip has done an excellent job incorporating other local distilleries into his cocktail menu. Flights will let you sample Letterpresses’s bevy of liquors. And don’t forget: bottles of the cellos are available for purchase. Parking can be found 1 block east along Utah Ave S. Picture is the Mezzo e Mezzo (MEH-tso eh MEH-tso), quite tasty!

Google
Cocktails were amazing and the source Amaro were fire, we got to hang on a rainy afternoon with the owner and it was one of the best sipping afternoons I've had in a long time

Yelp
It's located in an old warehouse tucked off a back alley so it's hard to find from the street. The proprietor, Skip, took a lot of time with us and talked about everything on the days tasting. Very good cellos and excellent Amaro! I'm not an Amaro drinker, and we went so my wife could taste them, but I am now a convert. I can't wait to get home and crack open one of the bottles we bought.

Yelp
You f you're a fan of limoncello this is a must stop in Seattle! It's hidden off an alley by the baseball stadium. Stop by and grab a bottle of this locally made treat. They might even show you how it's made if they aren't busy.

Yelp
Fun and tasty cocktails! Located near the Mariner's ballpark. Great people. Stop by and give these guys some

Yelp
LOVE this place! Skip is killing it with his spirits right down by Lumen Field. I had been wanting to try this place for months (thank you COVID for screwing that up) and it was worth the wait. I unfortunately have to watch my intake of cane sugar so I was so excited to hear that he sweetens his limoncello, blood orange, and grapefruit cellos with honey. The balance on these is just perfect. I highly recommend ordered the 3-pack of cellos for the holidays. Worth every penny. I did cave and try his amaros (sweetened with cane sugar) and I'm glad I did. So far I've had it twice by itself after dinner, it is that good. Highly recommend trying this place, I loved every single thing he made. Love the holiday cocktails he has going on right now too, you won't regret it!

Natasha S.

Yelp
I want to believe in my heart that this place is good, but I haven't been able to try it yet...because I learned the hard way today that they are closed on Sundays even though their website says they are open 12-4 :(

Yelp
Letterpress is a hidden gem. Down an alley, near the stadiums, it's not nextdoor to all the other distilleries and breweries in SoDo, but it's beyond worth the walk. Best distillery we hit all day. Making Italian liquors the right way. Also enjoyed a hot toddy, and great conversation with the owner. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Letterpress is a wonderful distillery in Seattle that specializes in digestifs! My husband and I love the amaro, limoncello, and arancello rosso. We like to have a little bit during the weekend after dinner. Skip the owner uses locally sourced ingredients and the products contain nothing artificial. If you come by for a tasting, he explains his family history behind his liquors and the ingredients the liquors are composed of. If you are interested, he also does tours of the room where the distilling occurs. The distillery is located near the Safeco and Centurylink fields, but the location itself is a bit inconspicuous so be on the lookout for the small sign. Stop by, grab a bottle and enjoy the depths of flavors!

Yelp
We are new to the Seattle area and wanted to get off of the beaten path. Enter Letterpress Distilling. About a few blocks from Safeco Field, you will see a white door with a nice homemade sign. Skip is one of the owners and immediately greets us. Definitely not affected by the Seattle Freeze, he tells us about the history of his family and how his grandfather made liquors in Rome- very cool! We begin our tasting on an authentic letterpress (just like the name... get it?) After a few generous pours, we go back and Skip gives us a tour of the distillery. This isn't some 5min breeze through, he takes his time and lays out every process. Needless to say you get your money's worth of $8 from tasting all of his products and a tour TL;DR Great local distillery that is beginning to grow exponentially. Would recommend to anyone trying out new places

Yelp
Letterpress is a great local business run by a guy a named Skip and his wife. Made in small batches, each of their liqueurs are grain to glass and made with 100% locally sourced wheat and barley. Their tasting is a fun time. Skip gives you the family history behind the inspiration of Letterpress and how he decided to make each liqueur. I tried the limoncello, amaro, vodka, and the blood orange liqueur, and all were excellent. My favorite of all was definitely the limoncello. Sweet and delicious, but didn't taste too sugary (probably because it's made from real lemons and no artificial coloring)!

Yelp
The lemoncello is top notch. It's solid... Simple and high quality ingredients. They use local blackberry honey as the sweetener! I love to cook with lemoncello and also drink it after a big meal. I could totally tell it was made with high quality TLC as soon as I had my first taste. It's quite refreshing. With little to no expectations going in I was impressed. The tour was fun and informative. I didn't feel bored to death with all the science. I really enjoyed learning all of the fun facts. Good stuff! Highly recommend it.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! I have to admit, I'm a great fan of our kraft distilleries and thought I knew most of them, but Letterpress is hidden in plain view, just across the street for our Stadiums. Letterpress is a micro distillery of micro distilleries- it's like really small a cozy and has only two products vodka and limoncello made from on site distilled vodka, lemon zest, water and blackberry honey! And damn, this limoncello is to die for!! Perfect, crisp lemon taste with a distinct honey finish. Letterpress is worth the trip and it's located right there by the stadiums.

Yelp
Across the street from Safeco Field is a little warehouse full of some of the most amazing tasting vodka and limoncello you've ever tasted. It's easy to miss, but when you find this little gem you will be so glad. Skip will likely be there to give you a tour of the one room where he does most of the distilling himself. He takes pride and care with his product, which is evident when you taste it. The vodka is made with the intent that you would want to drink it on it's own. Like a nice gin or an aged scotch. Excellent spirit that is worth a taste! The limoncello that everyone raves about are raving for a good reason. It tastes amazing! You get the real taste of lemon and honey with each sip.. easily drinkable on it's own as an after dinner treat. Maybe dangerously easy to drink! Stop on by and purchase a bottle directly from the source!

Yelp
So I fortunate enough to participate in a tour of this distillery with a friend of mine. I was pleasantly surprised to find a really small operation run by a guy(Skip) who really cares a lot about the quality of everything he produces. Hearing his story about how he started with a tiny budget and painstakingly figured out how to make things work to his level of satisfaction was inspiring. Tasting his vodka and limoncello I can begin to understand how proud he must be of what he has managed to produce. It is really quite good and also a big departure from what I'm used to when it comes to both vodka and limoncello. The Vodka has a bold unapologetic flavor making it not only delicious but also unique. The limoncello stands head and shoulders above pretty much any bottled limoncello I've ever tasted. Also, knowing that 99%(or almost 99%) of all of his ingredients are locally sourced and even his byproducts are being re-purposed by local business is a huge plus. I have nothing negative to say about this place. It is a little pricey but a lot of that is because of our insanely high liquor taxes. A few people I know are going to be receiving Letterpress Distilling vodka and limoncello for Christmas this year. Me included. ;)

Yelp
Definition of hole in the wall... unique cocktails, outdoor seating in a courtyard that is actually a truck dock. Refined limoncello and free snacks -- worth a stop for sure!

Susan P.

Yelp
We are SO grateful that Scott and his business have survived 2020 and are still turning out beautiful, delicious limoncello. Ordering and picking up were a breeze and we are excitedly looking forward to the reopening of their tasting room.

Yelp
Good guy and tasty vodka. I'm a Russian who switched to scotch so I'm VERY picky about my vodka. This is first vodka I could describe as tasty. It's got hints or both Italian Grappa and Romanian Palinca.

Yelp
When Yelp posted their Yelp's Got Spirits lineup, I was seriously THE most jazzed about checking out Letterpress. I love Limoncello, I love Vodka, and I love Letterpresses. It's a small space right by Safeco Field. It's down a bit of an alley and it's SUPER easy to miss. (Maybe there should be more signage/lights?) Besides that, it was a really nice, big space. The scene stealer, in my opinion was the Limoncello! It was sweetly flavored with local honey, without being cloying (like some others are). It also had a nice deep toffee coloring, without any artificial coloring agents. One of the best bits of knowledge that I gained from the tour was how everything is not only sourced as locally as possble, but the lemons are organic, and the rinds are peeled by hand. The rest of the lemon is then upcycled to another local Seattle business. Which is not only mutually beneficial but thoughtful with the notion of collaboration and waste reduction. The tour guide, distiller and owner was Skip. He explained a few aspects of his process that showed the painstaking care he took to get to the point of where his liquors are and how they got there. For example, the microscopic clusters of protein that occur when you use honey, and how it took weeks if not months to find an affordable solution for it. If you are lookng for a Limoncello, and let's be real, we all need a little Limoncello in our lives... then this is a wonderful, local option made by someone who genuinely cares about his end product, and you can tell.

Yelp
My trip to Letterpress was awesome. A block and a half from Safeco Field you'll find a small alley where Skip (the owner) does all the distilling by himself. It's only open from noon-6pm on Saturdays and Sundays, but since it's a one man show you can understand why. Right now they have only two products, a vodka and a limoncello. The vodka has a bit of a very light vanilla flavor to it and is very smooth. The limoncello is probably the finest you'll have outside of Italy, the secret being it's sweetened with honey instead of sugar, which gives it a much smoother and nicer flavor. All of the grains are Washington grown, and the lemons would be if we grew enough lemons here, but he has to import them from California. Luckily, right next door is Sound Produce, so whenever more lemons are needed he can just go next door and pick up a crate. Head down to Letterpress on a weekend during the day and try the vodka and limoncello - and then buy a bottle of each!

Yelp
Hard to find hidden distillery down an alley. No parking available. Street parking a couple blocks away. Small tasting room. Distillery offers 2 kinds of tasting, Vodka and Limoncello liquer. Limoncello liquer was really good. They use organic lemon zest to make their limoncello

Yelp
We came here for a distillery tour and was blown away by the unique limoncello (sweetened with honey and not cane sugar with no artificial colouring) and the very smooth yet flavourful vodka. The distillery itself was done in a very unrefined utilitarian way. My husband noticed the hodgepodge of repurposed equipment. The gentleman who showed us around was super knowledgable. I highly recommend trying Letterpress Distillery's vodka and limoncello if you get the chance.

Yelp
Tucked away at the back of a building on Atlantic, is this gem of a distillery. Skip, the owner, is welcoming and friendly. Was happy to chat with us and educate us about the different amari that Letterpress is currently offering and has in the works. Highly recommend their limoncello - took a bottle home it was so irresistible. Vodka offering was stellar too!

Yelp
Letterpress Distillery! Wonderful vodka and limoncello made because owner Skip's family is from Italy and he grew up loving it! He said try the limoncello as a hot totty with rum and hot water!

Yelp
Visited Letterpress Distilling the other night thanks to Yelp's "Seattle's Got Spirit(s)" event. And, what a cool visit it was. We got to taste Letterpress's two current products: a vodka and a limoncello. Both were fantastic. The vodka was like none I've ever had before. It was smooth and flavorful. Something to sip and savor. A far cry from the run-of-the-mill, mass-produced stuff that one drowns in tonic water. The limoncello was equally exquisite. Flavorful. Not too sweet. We wanted more. So, we bought a bottle. Skip was a fantastic host, who shared how his business came to be and how his magnificent libations are created. We got a tour of his distillery, and got a few chemistry lessons along the way. Skip is committed to buying local and running a sustainable enterprise. It is very cool to see someone who has made a small business succeed through hard work, ethical practices, and turning out a damn good product. Letterpress Distilling has plans to expand its line of offerings in the not too distant future. I look forward to checking them out.

Yelp
I visited the tasting room to try their vodka and limoncello. Both of them were very pleasant. The vodka has a lot of flavor and the limoncello was a treat with sweetness from blackberry(?) honey to balance out the lemon zest. Both products are reasonably priced.

Yelp
I was recently introduced to Letterpress distilling and Skip's Limoncello. Shared with friends (locally and as far as New York) who agree it is the best Limoncello they've tasted.

Yelp
Came from out of town after Mariners game. Short walk and up an alley to this little gem. Private tour and sample of their great liqueurs. Highly recommend their Limoncello, and everything else is yummy too.

Darren G.

Yelp
Skip's passion for his craft is contagious. He's off to an amazing start with his limoncello, which has a delightful taste (the honey really makes it) and is sweet without being cloying. Favorite cocktail based on it so far: - 1 ounce Letterpress limoncello - 1 ounce gin - 3 ounces tonic water (also works with selzer) - splash of lime juice

Chris S.

Yelp
Great distillery! Owner is very personal and takes pride in his products. Coming from out of town, we got a little lost (walked from Pioneer Square) but was well worth it! Took home his flagship vodka and limoncello. Can't wait to order his seasonal blood orange vodka!

H R.

Yelp
I knew that Letterpress Distilling's limoncello was amazing, but what really impressed me was their vodka because I'm not usually a vodka drinker. It's really smooth with such interesting flavor. The tasting room is also inviting and casual, and Skip (the owner) is super friendly and knowledgeable. It's really easy to stop in after a Sounders or Mariners game on the weekend!
