"For an elegant France-meets-Vermont brunch, there’s Leunig’s. This beloved bistro offers an impressive Sunday morning spread of everything from duck confit poutine to classic French fare, plus local cheese and charcuterie. A waffled Croque Madame comes with Vermont’s North Country Smoke House ham, Gruyere on a Belgian waffle with béchamel and a sunny egg. Here, “steak and eggs” means filet mignon with béarnaise and asparagus. Located on the Church Street Marketplace, diners can clink champagne flutes of mimosas while slurping oysters and enjoying the charming view." - Heather Platt

Upon arrival, the host promptly sat us at a table. The tables were very close to each other. Barely any wiggle room. We were there for Monday lunch. There was only 1 waiter and 1 bartender. We waited A WHILE before the waiter came to take our order. All we had were appetizers and kids meal so it came out fast because I felt other tables waited long for food as well. Despite the wait, the food was actually good. We had lobster with salad, sliders, oysters and chicken tenders/fries(kid’s). All are flavorful and tender. They breaded the lobster which was pleasantly good with lemons (like calamari). Oysters were cooked with garlic flavor. Great portion of chicken tenders, we all had some because they were really good. Overall a busy restaurant at downtown area. Great food if you don’t mind to wait.

We were at Leunig’s for lunch on a Monday. It is one of the few restaurants that’s open on Monday noon in Church St Marketplace area. Obviously there were a lot customers at the restaurant due to this fact. They had both indoor and outdoor seating options available. We sat inside, right front of the fancy bar. They also had a big dining hall at the back as well. There was only one waiter who was attending all the tables. For first 10 minutes, we didn’t get any attention from him, until we had to call him to put in our orders. The food came out within a decent time. Fried oyster was good. I got the trio slider that had lamb, venison and bison. Each of them was made with different toppings. I really liked the variety and the way they were cooked. But the best dish was the chicken fingers my daughter got. Probably the best chicken finger I ever ate. It was made so well with thin fried layer and soft chunky chicken inside. We all liked the french fries as well. Overall all the food dishes were spectacular. Personally I had mixed feeling about the place as I had amazing food here but the service was not satisfactory. I’d still recommend Leunig’s for its unique menu and incredible food.

First time dining here. Made a reservation online just in case it was busy. Went just before noon time and it was starting to get busy. We ordered the calamari fritti ($16) for our appetizer. It was good, crispy and good portion serving. I wish they would give you more or extra of the garlic chili aioli. For our main meal, we ordered the black river angus. I had one with fried egg, extra $1.50 for Swiss cheese and $2.50 for the fried egg. Good size burger and tasty. My only issue was the amount of fries. If we’re spending $18 for a burger, I think we deserve more fries! They have extensive choice of wine and other beverages (a whole book just for drinks!). The appetizer came out quick but it took a while for our meal to come out. I would recommend making an online reservation if you’re planning on dining during the busy hours. Our server was good. Overall good experience.

Came for lunch, It was my first time here. We were seated right away. My son and both started with salad, which was good. He had the beef brisket which was delicious, I order the steak fries medium rare..it was really 1 chunk of irregular meat. The temperature range was from medium to well done. A few times I had to search for a waiter and it wasn't even very busy.

Google
Im aware that the restaurant has recently changed owners, and they’ve made some disappointing changes. Ceasar Salad - dressing did not taste homemade - Salad is pre chopped, it used to be a full half head of lettuce that you chop yourself with a steak knife - Parmesan does not taste authentic - Powdered parm in additional to the fake parm is not a good touch - No freshly ground black pepper French Onion Soup - Over salted Espresso Martinti - great, and strong! Would order again.

5 years ago my now fiancé & I had our 1st date here at Leunig’s, we always carry ourselves back and are never disappointed! Our meal was nothing short of amazing & the staff is always super kind 10/10 recommend

A pleasant attendant at Luenig's take out sandwich booth across from the restaurant, took our order for two sandwiches we were planning to eat on our cycling trail. We were disappointed to see that he immediately presented us with two premade, wrapped sandwiches, not made to order. I was really annoyed that mine was dry and bland because it did not have the two dressings listed- pesto and garlic aioli, AND no gruyere cheese but a slice of American. The sandwich was of course, insult to injury, tasteless sandwich cost $17.00.

✨ A Taste of Paris in Burlington ✨ Stopped by Leunig Bistro for an early lunch, and it didn’t disappoint! The ambiance is chic and cozy, with its Parisian-inspired decor (including a stunning Eiffel Tower print that made me feel like I was dining in Montmartre). 🥣 What We Tried: • A hearty vegetable soup topped with fresh parmesan, which was bursting with flavor and perfect for a chilly day. • The omelette was fluffy and beautifully cooked, filled with savory ingredients, and served with a fresh side salad and fruit. • Duck Poutine was slightly salty to my taste buds. Unfortunately, they were out of their famous French onion soup (heartbreaking!), but the rest of the meal more than made up for it. 🍽️ Verdict: Leunig Bistro continues to live up to its reputation as a Burlington gem. A must-visit for anyone craving French-inspired comfort food and an inviting atmosphere. Next time, I’ll be back for that onion soup!

Yelp
The food was fantastic our server was absolutely darling but the poutine was to die for

Yelp
We just had a most excellent meal at Leunig's Bistro. Everything was wonderful. We started with the duck confit poutine. It was incredibly delicious. Just the right combination of salt and spice with a decadent gravy over the fries. We had three different entrees: duck two ways, braised short ribs, and steak frittes. The duck was divine. The short ribs were amazing. The steak was really wonderful and the fries were even better. All in all, it exceeded our expectations.

Yelp
Went to stop here for dinner on slow Tuesday night as I have been here before and hadn't been in a long time. With an outside patio almost empty and the inside half empty from what I could see. I approached the host asking for a table for 1 outside. The response to me was they were not accepting walk ins as they were rolling out a new menu. But then tired to retract and say oh but we might be able to do something in 15 minutes or so. No offer of the bar to wait or anything of that nature. I told the host to nevermind and that I would go somewhere else. Being a local and an Uber driver I can tell you that you can keep your pretentious ego. I will not be recommending this place nor will I be back.

Kathryn J.

Yelp
To start, we ordered the calamari and French onion soup as appetizers. The calamari was perfectly cooked and crispy, while the French onion soup was the true standout. The rich, flavorful broth was packed with flavor, and the melted cheese on top added the perfect touch. The bread service is a must-try, as they offer freshly baked, crusty baguettes that pair beautifully with the appetizers and the rest of the meal. For the main course, we indulged in the steak frites, which were amazing. The steak was tender, perfectly cooked, and coated in a luxurious, decadent sauce that elevated the dish. The crispy frites were the perfect accompaniment, and I made mine to truffle. The wine menu was diverse, offering a great selection that paired wonderfully with the meal. On top of the delicious food, the service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff.

Yelp
This restaurant in downtown Miami is a bit on the pricier side but well worth the hype. We had a patio seat towards the back and were a bit out of the main path. We could not have asked for better food or service; my husband noted that it was one of the best dining experiences of his life. In a sea of Miami options, it's worth it.

Brian G.

Yelp
This place is not "it". Based on the other reviews, it looks like it may be used to be really good. It was not when we went last night. We were sat upstairs, and despite numerous servers walking all over the restaurant and chatting to each other in the stairwell, we were waited on by the bartender. She was very nice and attentive, but she was busy making drinks and didn't even get over to us until 15 minutes after we were seated. After that, like other reviews mention, it took forever to get our food. From when we sat down, to our entrées coming out it was an hour and 1:15 minutes! Way too long for a "bistro". The French onion soup was lukewarm, which is a huge disappointment with any soup. The chicken Cordon Bleu dish was tiny, and the beef bourguignon was this weird hybrid version with the whole meal shoved into the pot with potato chips. Just look like an excuse to not serve you very much actual beef bourguignon. If you're going to market yourself as an authentic French bistro, why not just make actual hot and delicious, real French food, and serve it in a timely way. Is that so hard? Would not go back.

Yelp
Overall: what a way to cap a beautiful day trip through Vermont. We had read another individuals review saying how he recently went on an emotional journey and came solo. Leunigs was pretty good with company too. Food: get the poutine full stop. A half portion (ask the server) is more than enough for 3 people to share. The duck with the cheese curds and the confit gravy really just starts you off with richness. I ordered the roasted chicken and I think the highlight was the vegetables. I had to tell the waiter that these were probably the most "real" vegetables I've had in a long time. Fresh full of flavor and taste like they came straight out of a garden. The meal really just reminds me of a wonderfully cooked home meal. Topped it off with some coffee and this weird hot cocoa cocktail. I actually despise chocolate but I would order that hot cocoa cocktail again if I could. Ambience/Decor/Service: really romantic American style restaurant decorations with dark lighting and old school seating and tableware. The server was a little late (other circumstances) but incredibly kind to talk to.

Shahanaz B.

Yelp
Amiable service but super slow. Awesome drinks and good food but the breads are a bit hard to chew. Sitting on terrace, the vibe was good. Prices are steep.

Yelp
i've been here a few times love the atmosphere and the energy. I really enjoyed the different meals I've had and don't forget dessert.

Yelp
Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambience: 10/10 It's not often I give 5/5 stars, this place is exceptional! Food, was immaculate. Two of us got the burger, one of us got the salmon, and the other got a pot roast. Everything was soooo delicious. Our muscles we got for an appetizer were amazing as well! We even ended the meal with a spectacular dessert and dessert cocktails, absolutely amazing! Service, everyone was sooo friendly and happy to give a run down of the menus. Decently quick service as well, not too quick though. No complaints here at all, the host/manager was super helpful and friendly as well. Ambience, a cute little, European authentic whole in the wall. A bit tight, not a problem though. Cost*** This place is on the pricier side, especially if you're getting drinks, appetizers, meals, and desserts. I highly recommend hitting this place during your stay in Burlington!

Yelp
Leunig's was a disappointment. The white truffle fries were pretty good, but still nothing special, and the Chilled Green Tomato and Avocado Gazpacho was quite the letdown. I love a good gazpacho, and this one was severely lacking in flavor (and salt). The service and ambience were subpar. Meh overall.

Mario R.

Yelp
We stopped in Burlington on our way back to Boston from Canada and Leunig's had the most interesting menu in the area by a country mile. We had the goat cheese, calamari, carbonara, and onion soup. Every dish was delicious and we somehow managed to clean every plate! The 5 stars are well deserved

Ravon H.

Yelp
Tuesday night dinner option Was Leunig's. Don't know how to pronounce it but the food was good. It looks like an upscale French themed restaurant. Most of the menu option didn't appear to be French at all though. We were told to make reservations in advance and thank Goodness we did because it was crowded. Like just about every other place in Burlington it's rather tight. The foyer had barely enough space for two people to fit through at the same time. Noise level was moderate so you would be able to have a nice conversation without yelling. I ordered and old fashioned that was a little on the sweet side but not bad. For an appetizer my friends and I shared an order of the truffle fries. They were the best part of the meal. Seasoned to perfection, light and crisp on the outside, and not too oily. For my main I had the filet. It came with asparagus and a seafood medley. I could have done without the hollandaise sauce because the steak was delicious without it. Very good service from our waitress earned them the 5 stars. Never had to ask for refills on water and she checked on us often.

Donna A.

Yelp
Crystal is the best!!! Had a wonderful evening at Leunig's. The early dinner menu is fantastic. I enjoyed steak fritte and my hubby had cavatappi. Can't beat the $7 glass of wine w the early $25 menu but we opted for a different bottle.

Natalie A.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch and found many great choices on the menu. There was also a special of salmon cake sliders that was very good. We all enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent and the waitress was very pleasant.

Bill A.

Yelp
We showed up on a Wednesday night with no reservation. Credit to the staff they got seated us in 5 minutes and even got us a cool seat that looked out into the activities outside. Real good food. Recommend sharing the appetizers so you can get a sense of all the good options. We had the cornbread stuffing, mac n cheese really spaetzle and cheese. The cornbread stuffing was excellent and moist. The mac n cheese was cheesy and perfectly cooked. I had a filet for the entree. It was very good. I asked for it to be medium rare and it was cooked exactly medium rare and so tender. We finished with crème brûlée and is was so good of course cooked with maple syrup. The only detractor was the service during the meal was the speed of service. It took a while for everything -- drinks to appetizers to meals to come out. Other than that real good.

Ashley D.

Yelp
So I ordered the pumpkin ravioli. The food was ok but it wasn't warm enough when it arrived at my table. Was also very disappointed that there wasn't grated cheese offered to put on it. Every place that serves pasta should do that. The dish also came with hazelnuts on top. The nuts were too bulky and would've been better if they were crushed into smaller pieces for texture. The vegetables served with the ravioli were too big! The chocolate lava cake was the best part of my meal at this restaurant.

Laurie R.

Yelp
5 stars for food, service, and atmosphere. Happened to arrive between 4 and five for a late lunch. Bistro menu included an entree and soup or salad for $25. Local fresh bread, great cocktails, and specially priced wine to pair with the meal. Soup au Pistou was perfect and the Salmon with Orange & Blood Orange Marmalade Pan Seared Salmon topped with Orange & Blood Orange Marmalade, Sautéed Baby Spinach, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes served with Citrus & Fennel Salad was one of the best meals I've ever had. Husband's Beef Bourgogne was a fresh twist on a classic dish with a punch of rich flavor. Do not leave without trying Leunigs Cheesecake- a mixture of Green Mountain Cream Cheese & Vermont Mascarpone, Graham Cracker Crust topped with Black Pepper Balsamic Strawberry Sauce & Whipped Cream. First visit- won't be last. Bought gift certificates on the way out to introduce others. Yum!

Yelp
This place was AMAZING! All of it, from the food to the service Our server, Tracy, was incredible! She was extremely nice, and attentive! Our service was great, and not slow at all, she checked on us often and refilled our drinks often Onto to the food The food was fantastic, we got the olives, the bread, the salmon, the steak frites, the burger, the mandarin salad the crème brûlée, the molten cake, the cheesecake, the peatnutbutter pie and the affagato and it was all TO DIE FOR, the steaks were cooked amazingly the fries were delicious, the burger was juicy, the salad was flavorful, the salmon was like butter, all the desserts were a delicious mix of sweet and salty, the starters were delicious, it was all just amazing, one of the best places I've ever been The ambiance was also very nice the restaurant was beautiful and the table was nicely set, there was some great artwork and the lighting was very nice Overall wonderful restaurant one of the best I've been to

Amy S.

Yelp
I was on a business trip here in Burlington. We actually had a different location picked out, but the wait was 90 minutes. We decided on this location, and the wait was only 30 minutes. It was a beautiful night to do outdoor dining. The service was exceptional. I started with a Bloody Mary. It was solid. For my meal, I got the Watermelon Glazed Scallops. OMG... It was AMAZING! Perfectly cooked. Perfect marriage of flavors. Overall, it was a great decision to stop here. Service and food were just perfect.

Sierra S.

Yelp
One of the things I like about the dining options here in Vermont is the availability of Garden/Beyond Meat burgers. We had reservations for lunch, and we were seated immediately. Ordered: Beyond burger with grilled onions, cheese, and a side of sweet potato fries; then the turkey sandwich, which my companion was quite pleased with as it is quite a heavy sandwich. Service was excellent, and the price point was as expected. I rated four stars because the sweet potato fries (not pictured) were limp, and those who love fries know that's a No!

Scott K.

Yelp
Likes and don't likes about our dinner here... Likes - the food. The duck confi poutine was AMAZING, crispy pork ribeye with the cabbage was a perfect pairing, and the roasted chicken breast was slightly dry but excellent flavor and very tender... paired with the gnocchi was a great dish. For the price, it's a great meal Don't like - the seating and the service. Seating, so the tables were maybe 16"-18" apart. Everyone has to turn sideways to squeeze thru the tables. Very tight and very claustrophobia inducing. Like coach seating on an airline. You get to quite clearly hear EVERYTHING the tables around you are talking about and that's no fun for this guy. Just not acceptable for me. The service, so our order was entirely correct, our server was very nice and we did get a refill of water however the service was slow... very slow. I believe she was being over worked. We will never go back and it's a shame because the food was good.... Unless we rented out our own space for an event or something.. not sure if that's offered tho.

Chris B.

Yelp
Quite liked the spot in the city center of Burlington. Definitely is one of the more historic (and probably touristy) restaurants around, but the food was exactly what I was looking for. The poutine is LARGE and delicious. I would recommend at least two people splitting. French onion soup was pretty tasty and comforting. It's a pretty big place so I would imagine it's not too difficult to walk into most days. Solid selections of local Vermont beers as well.

Annie F.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of visiting Leunig's while in town for the weekend. After checking out the menu online, I made reservations for Saturday night and was sat immediately upon arriving. The waitress was so incredibly welcoming. Since it was a freezing cold night in Vermont, I opted for the hot apple cider, which totally hit the spot! For my entree, I ordered the Cranberry & Bourbon Chicken. It was stuffed chicken with cranberry and cheddar cheese served with garlic mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing (!!) and gravy. I'm a sucker for all things cranberry, so I had to order it, and it was heavenly. The stuffing was my favorite. My boyfriend ordered the Beef Bourguignon, which is beef tips cooked in red wine topped with bacon, carrots and onions, and mashed potatoes. It was reminiscent of beef stew but turned up a notch. It had great flavor! Unfortunately, we were too stuffed from dinner to enjoy dessert, but they had an impressive dessert menu. I definitely plan on trying the peanut butter pie next time!

Tracy A.

Yelp
We make it a point to dine here each time we visit Burlington and we have never been disappointed. The food is consistently delicious and the menu has options for most tastes. The service has always been attentive, but not intrusive and the staff are well-versed in the food and beverage options. The restaurant has multiple levels, including outdoor dining when weather permits; it's a little bit on the louder side but it's always packed with diners so that's to be expected; and the art deco accents add a bit of fun whimsy vibe.

Mike D.

Yelp
The duck confit poutine was so outstandingly tasty that it has been my high point of comparison for all other poutine dishes. What I recall from or visit in 2018 was everything was 5 stars at this bistro .. I wasn't a YelpeR then but am now and wanted to review the duck poutine recipe. Service and ambiance were an excellent experience here.

Max P.

Yelp
Have been here twice when in Burlington visiting family. The first time was one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. Sat at the bar and had excellent service and even better food. The second time, around a year later, was not as exceptional. Still solid service and good food. In the coming year there's a good chance I'll be back.

Lenora K.

Yelp
We had a lot of fun! Steak frites shows why the French invented it. Quite possibly the best piece of steak I ever had. Medium rare as I asked , sexy quality meat, perfectly portion, just a huge treat. The scotch was magnificent, the french red wine was a palet pleaser. My husband ordered steak tips but they were not steak tips at all. They were rough overcooked pieces of stew meat. Came beautifully presented but was wondering if management can reach out and tell us why it was incorrect on the menu? We also got escargot which was strange. This wasnt escargot it was muscle meat w garlic parm from a bottle. Confused why youd say this was escargot and if it was? You have a bad one. Also - we were in a tight uncomfy spot in the middle even though a gorgeous corner booth became available. The waitress was very annoying and we saw several tables get bread and we did not. Word of the wise when you notice a couple is big spenders , ordering 300 plus , serve them bread dont slap them in the face w a wet nap by deciding even though 3 tables near them get bread they do not, especially when they order entrees. It comes off cheap and classless. This attention to detail (or basics) is the difference btwn a restaurant that can charge these prices and a restaurant that is out of its own league. But I digress , the options were lovely and we would definitely come back. We had a blast!!!!!

Susan B.

Yelp
Stopped here at this little walk up petite bistro for lunch and coffee. It is so much like being in Paris! The menu, quality of food, ambiance, and staff transported me right back to Paris! One of us had the Poutine with duck confit, the other had a heavenly pastrami on rye. We had coffee and chocolate croissant as well. I could happily eat here every day for the rest of my life! The little wrought iron tables and chairs outside the mini bistro are so Parisian! Even the posters stuck to the exterior are exactly like the ones I've seen in Paris. The food is to die for! Omg poutine with duck confit! The duck was not gamey at all! The French fries were hot and plentiful! The cheese curds were delicious! The pastrami sandwich was thick, with excellent Swiss cheese, flavorful rye bread, pickles, and sauce. The coffee was reminiscent of coffee I've had at little cafes in - you guessed it-Paris! The chocolate croissants were perfect! Not exceptionally sweet, plenty of chocolate nestled in well laminated, buttery pastry! Oo la la!!

Stella S.

Yelp
Service was impeccable Loved the parsnip chips on the salad The vibe was great The horseradish sauce paired with the steak frites was an excellent and thoughtful addition

Parker W.

Yelp
I've lived in South Burl for over a year and never got a chance to eat here but I'm so glad I decided to! Our server was extremely attentive and helped my guest decide what she should get for her main course. My Salade Niçoise was fresh and flavorful & we got the peanut-butter pie and cheesecake to-go which were both delicious!! Will be coming back to try other dishes because everything sounded so scrumptious!

Akshat S.

Yelp
My mental health was so bad that I decided to take time away from Boston, and take my 4 remaining neurones to Vermont (amongst other places). The purpose of these solo trips is to...hang out with yourself, take yourself out. I highly recommend everyone do this. One such "date night" was at Leunig's in Burlington, and what a spectacular decision that was: 3 out of 4 remaining neurones agree. Leunig's décor has a self-possessed art deco vibe. Here, reds, browns and yellows meld rather invitingly. She's pretty, she's knows it, and she's not snooty about it. I had the salmon: it slipped against the fork as easily as my self-respect before my gym crush, and it was ever so flavourful besides. The best part was the cocktail. I, as tradition dictates, ordered an Aviation. I found it ambrosial. However, my neighbours (I was sitting up at the bar) found my purple drink curious, and we began a lively conversation about cocktails, about Burlington, our lives...the bartender (handsome daddy-type alchemist) joined in, too. He also made my new friends "mini" Aviations to slake their curiosity. There's something wonderful about strangers coming together like this. Those two ladies aren't just wine moms, they're *my* wine moms, and they feature in my prayers. So thank you, Leunig's, for providing the food, the drink and the mise-en-scène for a world-weary Bostonian to discover the conviviality seemingly inherent to Vermonters.

Johna G.

Yelp
We started with L'Orangerie Bordeaux Blanc. A perfect pairing with Raw Oysters. Our friendly server, Daniel, put it together for us. The Filet Mignon entree was perfection. We finished with the Key Lime Coconut Tart. Sorry, no picture. Couldn't wait. Delicious! Looking forward to our next visit!

Tucker R.

Yelp
Petit Bijou regular here.. bad move going down to one employee in there. those girls work SO hard and have to put up with the hassles of the Burlington street corner, and it's not sustainable or safe to have one employee in there alone. Treat your employees right or you'll lose the last good ones you have.

Jamie H.

Yelp
This place was simply fantastic. It was very busy on a Friday night but they were able to seat us within 30 minutes. I would advise a reservation. The ambiance was great it was very cozy and warm. The staff were friendly. We both chose to start off with the French onion soup and it was so good. The meal came with bread which was very good. For dinner my husband got the filet mignon and really liked it and I got the chicken which was something so different but was very good. I had a cocktail with dinner that came with this apricot piece I can't remember the name but it was so good. A must try restaurant if your in the area

Abbey M.

Yelp
This place has such a unique menu that's why I need to rate it so high. I had a hard time narrowing down to three choices of what to get. The mash potatoes were amazing. As well as the lobster, shrimp and corn mash that came with the filet mignon! Love it.

Sherrilynne B.

Yelp
We have been visiting Burlington for years, but just had our first dinner at Leunig's, but sure why we waited so long! Our meals were among the best we've ever had. I highly recommend the local VT cheese board (served with fresh fruit), onion soup, and grilled chicken cordon blue. You won't be disappointed with the cheesecake or crème brûlée, either. There was an extensive wine and cocktail menu as well. Yes, Leunig's Bistro is pricey, but it is worth every penny,

Jordan B.

Yelp
The chairs look like a French bistro. The glasses look like a French bistro. Even the name has 'bistro' in it. They definitely look like a French bistro. I'll leave it at that.

Peter P.

Yelp
Food is usually pretty good, while service and ambiance are great. We make a point to dine at Leunigs whenever we are in Burlington.

Kaye P.

Yelp
Good food, server did her thang! The food was banging would def recommend, the ambiance of the restaurant is so amazing and relaxing.

Laura K.

Yelp
Onion soup and truffle fries were great. Service was friendly and attentive. The Caesar salad wasn't as great--lots of wilted iceberg lettuce and hard stems. I was hoping for fresh romaine lettuce leaves given the high cost.

Kimi L.

Yelp
This place is great! The food is French inspired and the wine is tasty! I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and avocado. My husband ordered the Curry Chicken salad and he loved it! The cappuccino's were such a nice little dessert. Oh and the truffle fries were great! Knocking one star because the hostess (we visited on Saturday @ 1:15pm, August 13, 2022) was rude. She did not greet us at all not even with a smile. I was the one who has to initiate the conversation just to be seated! Truly I should have left right then and there. I witnessed this same hostess treat several customers in this manner. Hopefully the manager will have a conversation with her!

Journey C.

Yelp
If you visit this restaurant, you MUST get the duck confit. It came out hot and cheesy, with a generous portion of duck scattered throughout. It was by far the most delicious thing I ate during my weekend trip to Burlington. At the bottom of the Appetizers section, there's an item that says "Fresh Daily Baked Red Hen Bread served with Butter - complimentary, ask your server" - don't miss out on that free bread! The bread was a bit hard, but it was nice to have something to munch on as we waited for our entrees. I ordered the Steak Frites with mashed potatoes & my boyfriend ordered the glazed Salmon. The steak frites was pretty good, but the glazed salmon dish and my mashed potatoes were nothing to write home about. If I came back, I'd probably try something else on the menu.

Yelp
New Year's Eve dinner here. Appetizers were great. Escargot, mussels (amazing!), and poutine. We were a bit too full when dinner arrived. Was good, but filled up with apps.

Yelp
Book on Resy in advance (like Opentable). This place gets booked up. We couldn't get in on a Friday night or Saturday night but was able to get in late on a Thursday night (8PM). Food is considered French and American. we ate on the patio. They had heaters. The Truffle fries appetizer was very good. My wife had the giant scallops dinner and I had the steak dinner. Both were very good; had a nice presentation. Service was decent not great because it was crowded. It took awhile to get waited on. The Caesar salad with white anchovies was also very good. The pictures give you a good idea.

Yelp
If you're looking for an elevated dining that isn't stuffy this is it. Delicious food, great atmosphere.

Yelp
After many hours in the car we were hoping for a good bite to eat. Leunig's was recommended to us so we headed there. We were a little worried that 1. It was after 8 and the restaurant closes at 9 and 2. We were without reservations. Imagine our delight when we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. They were clearly busy - most tables appeared full. The interior is extremely cozy and pleasant. Our server Tracy was prompt, friendly, efficient and patient. She assured us she would not be rushing us, and she stayed true to her word. We had the shrimp and beef skewers, along with the aged cheddar cheese board for our first course. Both excellent. The wine list was extensive, and we selected a vouvray that was (for us) just right. For mains, my son had the carbonara, my husband had the crispy cider pork chop, and I had the salmon with blood orange marmalade. We all loved our choices, and I'm fairly sure I will be dreaming about the VT ricotta risotto cake (like an arancini) that accompanied my salmon for the foreseeable future. Dessert? Mais oui, bien sûr. My son inhaled what was probably the prettiest version of peanut butter pie I've ever seen, my husband raved about his cheesecake, and I indulged in two (two!) macarons because I wanted to try both. Not even sorry about it. It was one of the most delicious meals I've had in a while. Our thanks to Leunig's and to Musa for his recommendation!
