The Best Restaurants in Cedar Park - Austin - The Infatuation

"If you want a quick and tasty lunch with enough nutritional value to get you through those last few hours of work, Levant Cafe & Grill is the way to go. There are composed Mediterranean entrees like kofta kebabs and stuffed grape leaves, but Levant’s pitas and bowls—you choose from a selection of proteins, vegetables, spreads, and garnishes—shouldn’t be ignored. Levant cuts no corners where flavors are concerned, so whether you put your trust in the kitchen to combine ingredients or you choose to take the reins yourself, you’ll end up with a bright, energizing meal." - taylor tobin, nicolai mccrary

Google
Randomly went in by seeing the menu, great service and plating was so good. We got bowls, entrees, zatar pita with hummus, It’s a lot of quantity for the price. Shawarma chicken was very tender and flavourful. They have bunch of interesting toppings to add. Hummus was not up to the mark but rest everything was great. Must Visit Mediterranean restaurant in Austin, we’ll come back again.

Google
Good food, great service, very welcoming when we came in, and a really cool atmosphere. Ordered for the entire family. -Chicken Kebob plate -Beef Shawerma sandwich -Chicken Shawerma sandwich -Hummus -Tabouleh -Falafel Very clean, very bright and vibrant. You still order at the counter but you can see how well everything is done. Highly recommend as it not very pricey and you get to enjoy real food. Im definitely coming back

I've been to Levant twice now and both times were excellent. The staff is super friendly and helpful, greeting you with a smile as soon as you walk in. I've gotten different variations of the bowl both times I went. The Jordanian Zaatar Bread is amazing and I regret not getting it the second time! Fries were great. Everything was fresh and a different offering than other similar places. It's a huge amount of food for the price as well. I look forward to making this a regular meal every week!

Google
I highly recommend this place. The food is fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The menu offers a great variety of options, including choices for vegetarians, so there’s something for everyone. If you’re looking for a quick, tasty lunch, this is definitely a great spot to visit. Note: The falafel is absolutely exquisite—don’t miss it!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and we had a great meal! Jason was behind the counter and he eagerly answered any questions we had. He walked us through how it works and basically read our minds with what questions we might have. He said a plate is more protein with fewer sides, but a bowl is basically more sides with less protein. We wanted something healthy and protein-packed, so we both chose a plate (which still came with 2 sides). I got chicken kebab as my protein, which I loved (very tender, and dipping it in the toom made it even better). My wife got the chicken shawarma, which she loved — and the bite I stole was fantastic, too! I got mixed grilled vegetables that were OK, but I also got the lentils, which came with crispy fried onions on top — this was soooo good! I also added a third side — the Happy Chick Peas salad, which was good not great. My wife got muhamarra potatoes and she said they were “lovely.” She also got cabbage and liked that. Finally, a piece of pita bread came with both plates — and these were not your ordinary pitas. They were pillowy and tasty, and they made great little mid-meal sandwiches! Overall, we loved this place — Jason and his co-worker were abundantly helpful, and we will definitely be back!

Google
They are the kindest people ever! You instantly feel like you are a guest in their home. I am so glad we discovered this place! I will try the levant kebab next time! Everything tasted delicious. Humus and garlic sauce are so good!! Thank you!

Google
Levant Halal Mediterranean is absolutely delicious! The food is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, with generous portions. The bowl was amazing, the beet juice was delicious, and the mint lemonade was super refreshing. Everything tastes homemade and authentic, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re craving amazing Mediterranean food.

Google
First time here. We chose this place based on other Google reviews. First of all, the service and attitude of people behind the counter was very weird. No hello... no welcome... Absolutely no smile on their faces... Seemed as if they are being forced to work there. And if they are the owners, then that's even worse. Food was marginal at best. Presentation was the only thing that was good about the visit... but the taste left a lot to be desired. Chicken shawarma had no taste... Felt like boiled chicken. And humus was overly salty. Never had humus this salty in my life. I felt compelled to inform one of the guys that it was very salty. And he didn't have much of a reaction... He just said he will "let him know". I expected him to offer to swap out the side for something else but he didn't seem interested in doing anything more than say what he said. Had much higher expectations but sadly we were disappointed by the food and more importantly the service. Definitely not going back.

Yelp
I went last week, had excellent service and a delicious lunch. I had the beef and chicken shawarma as a platter with the roasted veggies (cauliflower is my favorite) and a side of hummus. All of it was great, and I enjoyed the shotta sauce with both the beef and the chicken. The beef was an excellent texture, the chicken very tender and flavorful. I will definitely return, though it will be difficult to choose something else off the menu, the shawarma is so good! Thank you!

Yelp
My first time here and everything is laid out beautifully. Levant is the French name for Lebanon. The place was super clean and I didn't feel grunge while there. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. But because I was early there was plenty of seating and I chose indoor. The counter server talked me thru everything and gave me samples of the different side dishes. I chose not to get rice nor bread and stuck to the sauces and veggies. I ordered the Chicken and Lamb Levant bowl. The mixture of all the different flavors was exceptional. Thank you Levant Cafe & Grill for a wonderful dining experience. May 2026 bring you much success! Happy New Year everyone.

Yelp
I've been in here twice for book club meetings and loved the food each time. The service is fast, prices are reasonable, and best of all the food tastes fresh and delicious. Great addition to the area. The happy chickpea salad is great, the gyro, chicken schwarma, hummus, falafel, all get thumbs up.

Yelp
Wow! I love Levant so much! The food is absolutely fantastic. Years and years ago, I had a long-term boyfriend who was Syrian, and I was fortunate enough to enjoy all of the wonderful foods made by his Sittu (grandmother). Well, let me tell you, eating at Levant, I felt as though I were back in Sitty's kitchen again. I had the chicken kebab with rice and tabbouleh, and the flavors just screamed Syria! The chicken was juicy and seasoned so well that if you close your eyes, you would be transformed to another land while nibbling every morsel. I don't like it when tabbouleh is oversaturated with lemon juice, causing it to be bitter. They got the flavor balance of all of the ingredients just right. I tell you if I could, I would eat there every day. It's such a healthy way to eat. The portions are large. I had leftovers for lunch the next day. The restaurant feels new, sparkling, and immaculately clean. The employees are so genuinely sweet, nice, and appreciative.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots when I want a delicious and HEALTHY meal. Everything is extremely fresh. I love their protein and vegetable options. The restaurant is beautiful and always perfectly maintained and clean. And the staff are friendly and fast.

Yelp
Really solid spot for Mediterranean food! I love that their menu is so customizable, so you can just mix and match for whatever you're feeling in the moment. The Levant shawarma is so delicious, and I love that they load up everything with their tahini and garlic sauce. The pickled red onions go really well with the meat. And I love their lemon mint drink - so so addicting and refreshing!
google avatar

Yelp
Really enjoyed my visit here. I was craving some fresh Mediterranean, and this was one I had saved for a while. Really glad I made the trip. Service was excellent and very helpful. The place itself was a good size and very nice. I tried the mint lemonade as well and it was really good. The chicken was cooked perfect and flavors were great. 10/10 for me! Can't wait to come try more.

Yelp
We had a large family gathering at Lavant Café and Grill on a weekday evening. We were sat right away. Their menu is amazing. The person behind the counter was amazing with suggestions of what to order. We loved the hummus and the falafel appetizers I got the chicken Shawarma bowl. It was absolutely amazing. The kids loved all the drinks in the glass bottles. We had such a great time and would come back over and over.

Yelp
The service was great- I walked right up and went down the line right away and the staff was nice and helpful. The ingredients looked very fresh and the taste did not disappoint. So many options to mix and match the bowls, which are great value with big portions. I'll gladly return.

Yelp
I'm really confused how this restaurant has a 4.5 star rating on yelp. I came here because of that so not sure if I went on an off day but personally I wouldn't come back. I got the Levant shawarma bowl with levant rice, levant salad, baba ghanoush, couscous and grilled vegetables. The Shawarma was extremely dry and overcooked causing it hard to chew making the whole experience unpleasant. The grilled vegetables were also a bit undercooked so tough to chew up. Overall it was disappointing given how everyone else said how amazing the food is.
google avatar

Charmaine S.

Yelp
Delivery to work! Amazing bread and chicken shawarma with baba ghanoush! I haven't had any that I liked from when I was in the Middle East but this one made it to my top list! Recommended!

Yelp
This is another one of those places that I have been 1 million times and it was one of my favorites and then I look and can't believe I have never written a review. We shouldn't take having a restaurant like this in town for granted, the flavors are spectacular. I like getting the mixed shawarma plate, and the Syrian moussaka is an absolute must, the best I have ever had. Good luck limiting yourself to just two sides, I usually add one, it's four or five bucks and totally worth it. And besides, this is at least two or three meals' worth of food you're getting. They're always super nice and will explain anything that you have questions about. They went through an ownership change not long ago and haven't missed a beat. Pro tip: they have Jamaica drink, which is super fun and delicious, we get it every time.

Yelp
Ordered the Levant Shawarma plate with Palestinian Moshuasha and Lebanese Majadara. I've had Shawarma before, but never the combination of beef and lamb. It was good, but the meat was a bit chewy. I did expect you to be slightly more tender. For my two sides I had never tried either, but was in a curious mood. The moshuasha was chickpeas in a cream sauce. Very different but still tasty. The brown lentil majadara was very unique, very filling. Could not finish it all. Restaurant was clean and the service was fairly quick. They're mint lemonade was good, and tart. But a nice combination of the sweetness and the tartness. Will try the restaurant again when I come back into town.

Yelp
the vegetarian options here for the mezze plate are amazing! everything tastes great. 5/5 shishlik (ie beef) was a 3/5 in terms of tenderness for me. pita was a 3.5/5. Chicken Taouk was good 4/5.

Yelp
I have ordered from this place so many times and the food has always been great .. bursting with flavors ! The staff is great and helpful in recommendations ! It's a beautiful cafe feel restaurant which has a charming and relaxed atmosphere, which makes it a nice spot to unwind or catch up with friends. The interior is cozy, with a casual vibe that fits well with the local scene. Their menu offers a wide range of options, from chef's specials to bowls or make your own ! I have tried the falafel bowl with different options, stuffed pita. Always love their 2 breads(red and green one) Food is always enjoyable . The flavors are good, but the portion sizes are quit small for a bowl for the price ! Overall a place I always can go back to for my Mediterranean cravings ! Enough parking in the complex !

Yelp
My co-workers and I came here for lunch one day from our training. We like to try out different types of food and saw this place on our radar. When we came it wasn't too busy, the food was amazing, but certain parts of the entree kind of hit your taste buds in a surprising way. Some of the people in my group said their meals were not warm, but I am not sure if the food was supposed to be served that way or not. The whole restaurant is gorgeous inside and has the middle eastern feeling. The staff were very nice and attentive to our needs. Their lemon mint tea is a must try. I really enjoyed the flavor.

Yelp
The young man who waited on me was very quiet. I looked through the glass at a lot of options to be honest the thing that I didn't like about Levant is that everything is premade I ordered some items and made up my own rice bowl. It was OK. The thing that really upset me is that the young man who waited on me was over by the drink counter, spraying bug spray. That makes me wonder if they spray it behind the food counter, I've not known bugs to be very selective as to wherethey choose to go . I'm really sorry to have to leave this information as I tried diligently to be very positive and find the best about every location that I frequent .

Yelp
We love coming to this place when we are in town. The food is always good and the people are always friendly. We were there at noon and the restaurant was busy but not chaotic. The restaurant's ambiance was nice and comfortable.

Yelp
I went to this place around 2pm and I was the only customer in there. I had a bowl with chicken, lentils, grilled veggies, roasted zucchini, and chickpeas. Topped with pickled onions, garlic sauce, and tahini sauce. It was absolutely delicious and more than I could eat. This place is what other slop bowl places wish to be. Highly recommended!

Yelp
We love middle eastern food, and we had seen good reviews and were in the area, so we thought we'd check it out. I was overwhelmed with mouthwatering choices displayed the line at the front. My husband got the gyro plate and I got the mezze plate since I couldn't make a choice, which worked out well. I ended up choosing rice, roasted veggies, seasoned potatoes, roasted eggplant and cauliflower, chickpea salad and Lebanese salad. We also got hummus and pita. The person serving us was helpful and patient while I decided, and the food was so good! I loved the hot pita, the fresh and flavorful chickpea salad, and the eggplant roasted and seasoned to perfection. Really, everything we tried was delicious. The restaurant was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience and we will be back soon!

Yelp
This place is amazing. Every time I come in I enjoy a massive meal that I can't finish, which is saying something, because it's so delicious you're just going to want to continue eating it! Staff is awesome, super nice, and very friendly. Good clean eats vibes here.

Yelp
The interior of Levant is quite cozy and inviting; with plenty of seating, it is spacious, clean, and well-lit. The layout makes sense for this counter serve restaurant. When you enter through the glass doors, you'll naturally gravitate towards your left where they display their menu over a refrigerated beverage case. If it's your first time here, you might ponder what to order from what seems to be a reasonably large number of choices. To simplify, they have at least 18 "sides" to choose from, and at least 6 "mains". You combine these into entrees, plates, bowls, salads, or stuffed pitas. An entree is a main with two sides and a pita. A bowl consists of a carbohydrate base, a main, and 4 toppings, and is smaller is size than an entree. You can put mains on top of salads, and you can also order individual portions of mains. You state what you want, move down the line, and pay at the register. Beverage dispensers, napkins, and silverware are located after the register. You pick a place to sit, and they'll bring your order over to you. I've eaten here and also ordered takeout from this establishment numerous times. From their meats, I've had their Chicken Taouk (marinate chicken shish kebabs), Levant Shawarma, and Chicken Shawarma. My favorite is their Chicken Taouk. It's hot, juicy, and tender, and has a nice flavor. The downside is that it tends have plenty of charred / burnt edges. I don't find their shawarmas very compelling. They are just not very flavorful. Also, for some reason I prefer their chicken shawarma to their Levant shawarma (which is a combo of beef and lamb). Even though they dress their shawarmas, they are still, frankly, quite bland. From their sides, I like their majadara (bulgur & lentils) preparation, their tabbouleh (lemon juice makes it bright, but others might not appreciate the sourness), moshuasha (chickpeas, fava beans, tahini), moussaka, and potatoes. Their babaganoush is pleasant, but it lacks smokiness. Their cabbage is, well, seasoned raw cabbage. Their stuffed grape leaves left a bit to be desired. Finally, if you are deciding between dining at the restaurant vs getting takeout, and you are concerned about portion sizes, definitely dine in. Their takeout portions are noticeably smaller compared to when you eat in, especially for "entrees". One exception is their mezze plate (6 sides), which is approximately the same size whether you eat in or take out.

Yelp
We decided to give Levant Cafe & Grill a first try tonight for dinner (delivered by Door Dash), and we were really impressed! I had the Mezza Plate, ($22.99) and I did a BYO Bowl for my diabetic, chicken loving guy ($16.99). Mine was fresh, delicious and the six different portions I selected were large enough I'll have lunch for tomorrow! Each dish was perfectly prepared, but IMO, the star was the Lebanese chickpea salad. The side of fresh pita ($1.50) was soft, fluffy and great for dipping. His bowl had the Chicken Shawarma, Lebanese salad, Levant rice, hummus, tabbouleh and green beans, with a pita as well. Again, there was enough for leftovers, which we appreciate, given the pricing seemed high when ordering. The order was correct, arrived quickly (40 min) was packaged neatly. We will be ordering again! Thanks!

Yelp
Levant is hands-down the best Mediterranean restaurant I have been to in the Austin area. The food is always fresh and delicious.
google avatar

G N.

Yelp
Had the levant shawarma with two sides (hummus and potatoes), a chicken shawarma and a kid's meal. One of the worst beef&lamb. From the first bite, it was chewy meat and chunks of fat. The only decent thing was the pita bread on the side. And a regular hummus. Also, worth a mention is how terrible the garlic sauce on the side of the chicken shawarma was. Took it right off my bookmarks and never stepping in here again. Ambience is fine and you order and take a seat and they get your food to you.

Ash ..

Yelp
The food here is so delicious. A touch of all sorts of different cuisine from the levant...the staff is friendly and the environment is pristine, plus they play great music! Highly recommended this wonderful establ

Cee E.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food! Everything I tried was exceptional! I tried the levant shawarma, chicken shawarma, the mess and falafel salad. Each dish was so so good and the portions were huge! Greta value for money and exceptional taste! I rarely give any place 5 stars, but this one absolutely deserves it!
google avatar

Yelp
Jordanian bread and yellow rice excellent. Employee wonderful customer service. I am Vegetarian and there is many options here. The falafel is perfectly cooked. Every item seasoned perfect

Yelp
Overall: 3.5/5 Yalangi is my favorite, so I ordered it. It was a tad more tangier than I'm used to, but it was still good. I enjoyed the Lebanese Happy Chickpea Salad. The Syrian Moussaka was okay, a tad underwhelming. The naan bread was good and the Spicy Shatta Sauce was good-it heavily carried! The dish was overall refreshing and filling.
google avatar

Rebecca T.

Yelp
My husband and I eat here on the regular. Great food, good service. We always have enough for leftovers!
google avatar

Sam K.

Yelp
I was very impressed by the bowls and wasn't expecting the layout where you get to select your protein and sides and other fixings (similar to a Chipotle/Chilantro). I had the Levant shawarma with potatoes, roasted veggies, 1/2 lentils and 1/2 rice, jalapeño hummus and tabbouleh. The flavors were FANTASTIC and all the ingredients super fresh and overall filling. Our server was very friendly and helpful with suggestions due to how indecisive I can be when given multiple options. There was plenty of seating areas available on a Saturday afternoon and a good place to meet for lunch as the service was very fast. I also appreciated how many vegetarian options they have, which is great for accommodating all sorts of food preferences. Will be back! Price: 4.5/5 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5

Neha G.

Yelp
Food was excellent. I went there on 12/27/2023 I had the bowl, which was $13.50 but was very fulfilling and more than enough for one person. Person at counter was very helpful. He let me choose two base for the bowl as levant rice and grilled vegetables. For the protein, I got falafel, may be around 3-4, don't remember the count exactly. Plus you have the option to choose 5 sides in your bowl, I got labanese potatoes, hummus, chickpeas salad and 2 more of salads. You can't take fries as one of the sides though, sad. Plenty of space to sit down and outdoor options too if you want to enjoy the sun in winters or coming in with a pet. Next time, I might try their vegetarian wrap or falafel salad option.

Yelp
We have ordered Levant family meals for dinner parties we've hosted, and also recently used them to cater our daughter's first birthday party. On both occasions they did a great job. For my daughter's birthday, we had about 50 guests. The owner helped us craft a diverse menu to satisfy all dietary requirements. The food was ready at the exact time they promised it would be for the event. The salads were fantastic, fresh and beautifully presented. The falafel was crispy and hot. The chicken was a bit dry but the sauces helped give it the flavor it needed. I recommend Levant for a casual meal to get your Mediterranean fix, or for catering! Great experience!

Yelp
Fantastic food and service! We love the kofta and schwarma plates. Fresh ingredients and very nice people. A favorite of ours for Mediterranean foods.

Yelp
I had the chicken kabob, tabouli, potato's, rice and hummer which were all 10/10 amazing!! The pita was so fluffy and delicious. Everything was homemade with love and pride. I haven't been anywhere that compares. The quality and taste were amazing!

Yelp
The food was excellent!!! T there was an excellent offering of Mediterranean goodies on the menu Nice ambience Highly recommend it

Yelp
Fresh and tasty shawarma meat here! Everything we have gotten has been so good and flavorful. Only thing we wish was better was the pita bread - sometimes it just isn't as fresh as we would want - wish it was made to order.

Steffani P.

Yelp
Best Mediterranean/Lebanese food I've ever had! It's hard to want to get take out from anywhere else. Every single dish I've ever ordered is perfection. I especially love the Levant Schwarma with baba ghanoush and Lebanese tabouleh. The pitas are invariably fresh, warm and soft. The tahini sauce is amazing, and so are the various kinds of hummus. I love the jalapeno hummus. The people that serve the food and manage the cafe are so nice. The portions are generous and the price is very reasonable. Give it a try!

Yelp
We've come twice in one week, and we'll probably come again this week. I'm obsessed with their mediterranean salad !! I LOOOVE pairing it with their beet salad. I started intermediate fasting so at night when my "eating window" is open I found this place. The portions are so big that I could also eat the salad at night for dinner. When we got there the second time, I brought my whole family. The cashier was a young guy and he was so sweet and patient with my kid who knew what she wanted but it was on the TV and it was a picture passing by so he was kind enough to wait through all the other photos til she said that one !! The whole place is beautiful and really well decorated. Thanks to them I lost 2 1/2 pounds this week !! Yay !!

Yelp
There is plenty of complementary parking in the adjacent lot. The restaurant is open, airy, and modern. There is patio seating that is dog friendly. It's a very casual atmosphere with pleasant Middle Eastern music playing in the background. Exceptionally clean with a sophisticated vibe. There is no table service however once you place your order at the counter it is brought to you. There is a selection of natural sodas, and non-alcoholic beverages. There is no alcohol service at this location however, the food is just wonderful! There was a brisk to go business while we decided to dine in with a large group of friends. A wide variety of meats and sides are available. Our group selected the family dinner, which serves 6-8 people for very reasonable price and did include beef kebabs, chicken kebabs, lamb, Gyro meat and sides that include baba ghanouj, falafel, hummus, beet salad, roasted vegetables, to name a few! The meal also came with warm pitas. Desserts are also available however, we were just too full! This is a wonderful spot for a group get together, romantic evening, or just a casual snack. This location does not take reservations, but with the size of the restaurant you should not have a problem finding a seat. This location is highly recommended for quality, Middle Eastern food and wonderful service.

Yelp
Always Delicious! The food is full of flavor and very fresh. The portions are big, so we split a plate. The Falafels are so tasty. They cook them up fresh so they are hot and wonderful. The service was great too. They are very helpful in explaining all the dishes. Great vegan options!!

Yelp
This place is in our rotation of go to restaurants. I really enjoy the chicken shawarma plate with the spicy sauce on top. I've mixed up the sides but really enjoy the moxed makaly, potatoes and spicy hummus. I always get extra pota bread because it's amazingly soft. They are like little pillows. It is set up cafeteria style, so you get your order made pretty quickly. I've always had very friendly service as well. My mother in law always wants to go here when she is in town.

Jen W.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Middle Eastern restaurants serving healthy foods in a casual setting. They have many vegetarian sides that you don't see in other places. This is a true gem if you're into quality, healthy eating.

Yelp
We have tried there food multiple times. Good food, we love the pita sandwiches. Just that few times they added so much sauce that It started breaking and I could not hold it like a sandwich and had to throw away the sloppy mess. But the food is good and I will recommend.

Yelp
The food at Levant was such a great and pleasant surprise. We ordered the Levant & chicken Shawarma plates with tabbouleh, baba ghanoush, mousaka and Lebanese fried potatoes. We also had a side of falafel and two desserts. Everything was really good, generous portions and good prices. The place is new and clean. Service is decent, I say it is a solid 4.3. Plan to visit again soon.

Yelp
i really like the concept of this restaurant, a build your own meal place, A mediterranean chipotle! I got the Falafel Bowl with spicy hummus, a grape leaf, eggplant and cauliflower, Israeli cous cous salad and levant rice. There's so many options you can really customize your bowl the want you want it. Lots of bold flavors. Good textures. Very filling. The pita is so soft and fluffy, worth the extra $0.75! Good place to come with larger groups.

Yelp
Can't believe this place was right down the street from us and we hadn't gone! Food was super tasty and fresh. Love the pita! It is a tad pricy for a fast casual restaurant but we will definitely put it on our list of lunch/dinner places.
