"Dupont Circle’s vital gay bar abruptly closed this spring. Owner Eric Little cited the sale of the building to developers, the rise of dating apps, and 'a slow decline in sales' as factors in the decision to shut down the multi-part business that housed a dance floor, the Level One restaurant, and the 30degrees lounge at 1639 R Street NW. Meanwhile, Capitol Hill lost its sole gay bar this spring with the shutter of short-lived Orchid." - Tierney Plumb

Great place for hangover brunch and morning surprises! Had the brunch burger, eggs Benedict, and French toast with coffee and juice (for two people) for $44. Although the food took a little while (the place was packed and we had to sit at the bar) the staff and the service were amazing (they readily replaced the poached eggs because they were a little over cooked the first time around), and the drag show, well, let's just say it was quite an interesting experience for an international group of friends 😁

This was a great spot. Expected it to be super packed but I guess we were there early. The brunch bowl was fantastic!

Ended up with a piece of paper in the chicken sandwich. You know, the pieces of wax paper that come between slices of cheese... They forgot to take that off before making the food. And the pot roast sandwich was way too salty. Oh, and all the staff like to hang out at the front and eat rather than serve their customers

Went for brunch & loved the al fresco dining & people watching on a beautiful day with my best friend. Unless you sit along the edges there isn't much privacy, but the music was jamming (not loud) & wait staff was great -- thanks for the extra bacon!! The food was delicious, hot & cooked to order. The brunch menu had something for everyone & while it cost as much as a dinner for one at a moderately priced NJ restaurant, it was worth it.

Food was pretty good, but I was hoping for a larger portion. Took a long time to come out of the kitchen as well. Our server was not very knowledgeable (but he made up for it) and the host was a bit prickly.

Disco brunch on the weekend on their expansive patio on 17th street is a great way to spend a summer morning though new restaurant editions offering brunch have taken some of the cache away from this spot.

Obnoxiously rude host staff, stupid reservation policy. Food was great, drinks amazing, waitress awesome!! Was given a to go container for my food with a dead roach in it.. Terrified to go back now.

Took a very long time to prepare/serve my food. Also shortchanged me a fourth of a large circular waffle. How does that even happen? Did someone eat it? Smdh
