Came here with my partner Valentine’s Day weekend. We stayed at Hollywood casino Greektown so it was about a 3 minute walk from the door of our room to the door of the bar! We reserved VIP and met friends there. The waitresses were all very sweet and helpful. The later it got, it definitely became more “club” but I’m not complaining! Bottle service wasn’t extremely expensive, pretty average for the big city. Had a great time and would definitely come back!

Was here for the bonus Tuesday after Movement festival! Great vibes!! Cheap drinks multi floor, loads of fun

Google
This is my favorite restaurant/bar in the metro Detroit area - the atmosphere is WOW!! In the summer the place is beautiful but the food is killer all year! Posting this review worries me that I might pump up the business, & then I'll never be able to find a table, but who really reads my reviews ....?? The only negative & problem rite now, is that the construction on the street has to be killing the business in the area. I've even placed a carryout order because the food is so next level & i live 30 Minutes away - that says a lot itself! Chefs Kiss to the kitchen staff & to the menu creators - if I could I'd give it a million stars!!! I love the menu so much!

Google
We absolutely love this bar! The owner is incredibly kind, and it’s clear that they genuinely care about creating a welcoming, enjoyable experience for everyone who walks through the door. The atmosphere is always lively and fun, with a great vibe that makes you want to stay longer. One of our favorite parts is the outdoor patio and bar. It’s the perfect spot to hang out, enjoy a drink, and soak up the atmosphere, especially when the weather’s nice. Whether you’re hanging out with friends or just grabbing a drink solo, it’s always a great time here. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a fun spot!

The view was nice. The service was good, and the beer was inexpensive during happy hour. They are the only pub I've been to that has Peroni on tap. The reason I gave 4 stars is because they automatically charge a gratuity for a party of two. I asked the server about it and she said they do it on all of bills. The gratuity charge was no where near what I would have given but it is a real pet peeve of mine that they put an automatic gratuity charge and don't mention the fact they are adding the extra charge.

Google
Seated and served right away as it was an early Thursday evening. Our server was very attentive. The music was a little loud but didn't bother us at all. Establishment doesn't normally take CC's, but the manager has a square for payment if you ask. Other than that, it's cash only. WARNING- READ YOUR BILL!! GRATUITY IS INCLUDED ON BILL ALREADY!!!!

Google
I have a friend who went there the other night with some of her friends and the bouncers are unprofessional. The one male bouncer punches my female friend in the face and then a whole scene was caused. One had her phone snatched and stolen by one of them too. I then made a comment on your Instagram page and it was taken down and I was blocked. Do not recommend. I also have video proof for anyone who wants to see. I did crop my friend's name out for her security

Google
We were at the bar to celebrate a roof top holi party. Roof top is not a roof top, it’s a room with no roof. Party was nice, we had lot of fun with colors and DJ. The inside bar area looks very tiny too. It’s very close to parking lots too.

Yelp
Went here yesterday w/ 2 other ppl around 2pm. The brunette bartender was so amazing. She was on top of everything. I'll definitely be back to see her. Wish i knew her name. She warned us that the waitress was not there yet and she sent the orders to our booth/table. They started off ok then as the st patricks day continued, they became more and more full/ busier. I loved the music choice. Shoutout to the Dj. I just wish he said something to hype the crowd and announce hisself. We kept dancing. The corn beef was good and petite. You can tell that they cut the fries. They were perfect. You couldn't beat $5 tenders. They were pretty thick too. The bathroom hall way needs a light there though. Overall a wonderful time!

Yelp
Tried the steak bites and the blue cheese olive martini went there while it was daytime and it was a whole vibe! There's definitely more room to choose your seating and a nice flow of air through the restaurant! There's a back patio, nice music and a decent menu! The drink menu was so cool, cause it lit up! Definitely enjoyed my time stopping there for fun, service was quick and the place was very clean!

Yelp
Fun night out. Lovely rooftop with great house music on a Sunday night! The only downside was that we had to travel back downstairs for the bar because the one on the roof wasn't open. There's plenty of space in here and you'll have a great time and enjoy the atmosphere.

Yelp
Food is amazing I highly recommend the cheeseburger but I've tried a lot of things here and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Staff is attentive to all my refills and it was quick service. Played good music and it had a lot of natural light and air flow that I appreciated. Check out this place if you're downtown!

Yelp
Nice place and ambience. I have only been here in the winter but summer will be much nicer. Open air second floor, rooftop and back open patio. Full menu from the restaurant downstairs but have not eaten there yet. More of a younger person's bar and more of a nightclub. During the week it is pretty slow which is more my style.

Yelp
Tourist here! A friend of a friend recommended this place. $10 entry for women, $20 entry for men. Unsure if it's free before a certain time. We got there after 11. We primarily came here to go to the rooftop, but once inside, we found out they charge an extra $20 just to go upstairs. Why? That didn't make any sense to us, but we still had fun partying with the other peasants on the ground floor. Ha! DJs were okay. Could have been more versatile in the music selection. Pro tip: Make sure you check your receipt before tipping if paying with a card!! They add gratuity to your total but then there are those additional lines to add more money. Unbeknownst to my friends and I, we tipped twice on one bill if that makes sense. I still haven't checked my bank account. If you plan on stopping by, get yourself a designated receipt checker! Lol

Yelp
This past Saturday, at level two, I was grabbed by the arm and the neck, picked up, and thrown down the stairs by a bouncer four times my size. I am not a fighter and did not do anything to deserve being abused by these men or this establishment. I was targeted for being an Asian woman. I always thought by being kind, I could avoid being assaulted, but this was not the case and I guess times are changing. As you can see, I am left with bruises on my arms. I also have multiple bruises on my body, including the back of my head. I have neck pain, rib pain, and hip pain from this, yet all I can think is I'm lucky I'm still alive. I don't understand how there are multiple reviews on here with the same situation happening and nothing has been done...this place should have been shut down years ago. I am going to take a stand in hopes that this never happens to another innocent person. No one should have to deal with the trauma of being thrown down the stairs, especially as a result of their race or gender. Mike, the manager, was no where to be found until after the assault had already occurred. He assured me the incident would be handled, but he has yet to even reach out. And by reading the reviews, it is obvious that nothing will be done and the culture of abuse is clearly promoted by the ownership.

Yelp
*update* The manager just replied to review, I think he is going to send his security to toss me out like they did to that couple. My family and I went to this establishment thinking that we would get good food and drinks, but it was just the opposite. I complained and three big security guys came to my table and told me they just wanna talk. They then grabbed me by my shirt and tossed me like a salad outside their venue for "disrespecting" their food. My wife and kids were still in the restaurant and they too later were tossed like breaded chicken. I would not recommend this to anyone, unless you want a good beating. Maybe invite someone you hate, who knows..

Yelp
I stopped here before the lions game for a beer. I used to frequent this establishment, but not so much anymore. Its a great place to go before the Lions game. There were very few people in this restaurant / bar, likley because of the location (up a flight of stairs around a corner) as it is not apparent this place is open. Had a M-43 beer, they seem to have many beers that are local Michigan craft beers. Most of these craft beers are in bottles or cans not much on draft, but defiantly a surprise for someone who likes craft beer. There is a brunch menu as well. I have yet to check it out but the French toast sounded good. I would come here again for a beer before the lions game due to this place not being crowded, every other place along the Greektown alley is crowded. This place however does not disappoint.

Yelp
This place/this person is an absolute crapshoot. The bouncer (pictured) cracked my ID in half, handed it back to me, told me it was fake (twas real), and then didn't let me in. After reading the reviews on here and asking a local friend, I actually felt lucky that he just destroyed my property and didn't push me down a flight of stairs lol. This happened months ago so I can laugh about it now but I still feel the need to warn others to stay away. Plenty of good places in Detroit with the same vibes, no reason to risk physical violence or a 3 hour wait replacing a broken ID.

Vince C.

Yelp
Watched them assault a small girl for having too much to drink. Friends came up to say they would get her out and bouncer didn't care and continued to man handle her. Then tried throwing her boyfriend down the stairs and assaulted him with a knight stick for grabbing the railing to protect himself from tumbling. This is not the first time I've heard of this but to witness it first hand was disgusting

Yelp
Ordered Classic Gyro and got their loaded gyro; the others who had Loaded Gyro said the fries where cold. When the food arrived they messed up my order and gave me the loaded Gyro. So I waited another 20 minutes for my food. This place isn't too pricey but it isn't cheap either. I would probably come again in spite of the messed up order.
google avatar

Yelp
Payment card information got stolen here. This place is a mess. Worst decision of my trip to come here

Yelp
Didn't let our friends in because of her SHOES and told us they didn't remember seeing her and said he was high (she wasn't). Despicable security team. DONT GO HERE.

Michelle D.

Yelp
This bar has the worst! Bouncers! The manager is so dumb and can't resolve any conflict! I slipped down the steps while holding the bannister and no one was around to assist me. I crawled back up and the dumb bouncer told me he didn't care. Luckily Someone standing near him grabbed me napkins to soak the blood streaming from my finger. My boyfriend called to talk to the manager or owner and to complain because he was thrown down the stairs and when he came back to find his friends was again thrown again. This bar is a nightmare for anyone wanting to have a good time. I'm surprised they don't have any lawsuits against them.

Yelp
This bar is great because it seems like no one knows it's there. We were in Greektown on a BUSY Saturday night. The weather was great, Ed Sheeran was in town and the Tigers were playing a home game. It was crowded and every bar and restaurant had a line. However, dip into the entrance of Level Two Bar and head up the stairs and you arrive at a little oasis. A place with space available at the bar, some couches for lounging and a table that will open up soon enough. The view over the street was great. To be honest, I didn't try the food but I definitely checked out what everyone was eating and it looked and smelled great! We had a couple of drinks here while we were waiting for our table at another location. The drinks weren't cheap but we were in downtown Detroit so that is to be expected and they were tasty, so, no complaints.

Yelp
Level Two is one of my favorite places to dance in Detroit. It has its pros and cons but there aren't a ton of happening dance bars in Detroit with a chill vibe. A lot of dance bars in Detroit like Whiskey Disco and Old Miami are a lot of fun but are frequently pretty empty and dead. Annex and Exodus have a more upscale vibe than a relaxed atmosphere with long lines and strict dress codes. There's usually a pretty decent crowd of people at Level Two and it can get quite busy on Friday and Saturday nights. It kind of has the same vibe as a lot of Royal Oak dance bars but not quite as obnoxious. Crowd is mainly 20s, early 30s. The major pro here is the music is good. The music playing is usually fun and danceable...top 40, pop, hip hop, not a ton of EDM which can be hard to dance to. Ladies pretty much always get in free but guys have to pay a steep cover $20, ouch! So that's one of the pitfalls. The atmosphere is cool, great lights and music, and open patio but they make you pay extra or have some sort of VIP thing going on if you want to go to the rooftop part which looks really fun but kind of stinks that they make it so exclusive. Drinks are pretty standard to any bar/night club. They can make some decent cocktails and mixed drinks and service at the bar is generally pretty fast/good. I usually have a fun time when I stop in and if you're looking for a place to dance with friends downtown then I'd recommend Level Two.

Yelp
Top 10 pop songs on heavy rotation. Pepper in a couple of put your hands up music. Mix with booze and a smoking open air patio on the back, I am so there my friend. Anyways, this was the last stop on our day long his and his joint bachelors party. And we were definitely glad we came. Good music overflowing into the street, So when you look out from the balcony and fist bump,, the crowd underneath follows suit as well. It's just a real chill atmosphere when we were here. Of course it was on a Thursday evening. We pretty much had the floor and a few more people dancing around with us as well. I could only imagine on a Friday night. I bet I would hate it here. But,, it's a good thing we don't get down like that anymore. We had a really good time here. Dancing the night away with people who are just out to have an amazing time. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!!

Yelp
Glad I didn't check Yelp before I wondered in and had a great experience! The two and a half Yelp rating would have sacred me away. Instead, I wondered in and enjoyed the best Gyro ever and a cold local draft IPA. There was a fun crowd "pre-gaming" for the Tigers. Open air view of Monroe Street in Greektown. Service was prompt and attentive. The food was hot and delicious. The beer was cold and tasty. The price was right (more like one star than two). I would do it again in a heartbeat - and really might do it again tomorrow night! Try it!

_ -.

Yelp
The food and service here was amazing. We ordered the Greek for 2 and the Dip Platter and it was amazing. Our service was very prompt and our waitress Sydney was very prompt and attentive. She always had our drinks brought to us promptly and they were ice cold and sooo good. The pricing is lower than I expected for the atmosphere and the view and servicing size and quality of food.

Yelp
I had the worst experience there for the first time going. Everything was going good for a good minute. Got section with two bottles of don julio plus a champagne bottle. They never said that there was no re-Entry. So when my friend went out to take a call they weren't letting back in. He also told the guy at the door that he was just stepping out to take the call but still acted like he did see him. On top of that the waitress and the manager was rude and super inappropriate. They weren't wearing mask or social distances. I would never go back this place. Especially since they themselves can't follow rules to keep people safe.

Yelp
First and foremost I want to acknowledge the staff, fast service, tasty drinks, well groomed attractive!!! A+ for effort !!!! Secondly, if you are looking for great nightlife on the weekends then I suggest Level two !!! The Dj on Saturday plays the best top 40 and then some !!! What's even cooler is the views ! Especially in the summer! Last but not least, the food the wings are my favorite tossed in buffalo with marinated with rosemary (I also add bbq and get mine well done) Strange combo but very tasty!! Also the falafel is the best I've ever had ! I will definitely be coming back to visit !
google avatar

Despina T.

Yelp
Wow! Clubs don't get any better than this in Downtown Detroit. There just isn't a great variety like there used to be. But Level 2 is a clean, posh "rooftop" like experience right in the heart of Greektown. Owned by Greeks. So you know you're always going to have a great time! All the bouncers, employees and managers are pleasant and they value your business. When you come upstairs and head to your right, there is a dance floor in front of the deejay booth. There is ample seating in that area and in the warmer months, the windows open so you get to fully experience and view Detroit's legendary Greektown! The back part is a covered rooftop in the colder months and an opened rooftop in the warmer months. In total there are three bar areas to get a drink. I don't know why I can't get enough of this place but it's always a good time and I look forward to coming here. Lot of good memories here and more memories to come!

Yelp
Super cool bar! Very "city"! The drinks Were poured well and unique. The rooftop even though it was chilly, was still so beautiful. We loved the great view. The DJ played really good music not techno, stuff you could really get into. The Best part of this bar was a waitress named Julie. She was outstanding! We had no idea what to do on a Saturday night away from home. We were there at an awkward time of the evening. She was so attentive to us and gave us amazing suggestions on drinks and food. She gave us a cool tour of the place inside and out. Julie really made sure we had a awesome night. I noticed her doing that with all her customers. That's what you want for your business! She really made our experience so much bigger. I can't wait to come back in March, hope she still there!

Kristin M.

Yelp
Had the best experience here at Level 2 last week. Awesome music, fast/polite wait staff, great food, highly recommend the rooftop in the summer months, it's the place to be.

Matthew B M.

Yelp
Honestly, I would stay away from this place. My credit card information was stolen after starting a bar tab at this place. Additionally, my friend seemed to have something slipped into their drink. These two events just seem to weird to be coincidence. I would stay away for sure. This happened on 5/15/2021.

Revel F.

Yelp
This is a fun spot with friends the dance floor upstairs is pretty small, but it's still a cool atmosphere. The music could've been a little better, but I'm assuming they don't always have the same Dj.
google avatar

Najee C.

Yelp
I've come to Level Two on a few occasions, I was neither impressed nor turned off. It's important to note that I've never come at "club" hours. So, I've only gone for drinks and quick bites. The staff was friendly, but a bit preoccupied, despite a pretty empty restaurant. The location is what brought me here on each occasion, it's right in the heart of Greektown. They have a patio that's pretty cool and is surrounded by a higher patio of a different venue. I had the chicken quesadillas and they were good. They weren't spectacular, but I don't think I even eat quesadillas in a bar to be wowed anyway. If you're in Greektown, this might be a good place to stop for a drink. If you're looking at having food, I'd suggest digging a bit deeper into the Greektown scene.

Lauren G.

Yelp
I love nothing more than paying $250 for bottle service and then watching a bouncer grip up a customer by her arm for dancing. If you didn't want her to dance there were more appropriate ways of doing so. I will never come back unless they train their staff to properly handle a situation like this.
google avatar

Iman M.

Yelp
Drinks are fire! Bar staff is on it! Shout out to Becca ! Didn't have any food this time but next time it's on! Thanks for the service! Nice atmosphere in the summer with the open upstairs area and bar.

Cecily M.

Yelp
Worse place I have ever been! Security guards assaulted my friends and I. My 22 year old female friend was thrown to the streets because she was not wearing heels. When I asked if they saw her, they said no. Found her sitting on the streets alone crying. Confronted security about this. He called me a bitch and said I was not welcome back in. Also said my friend was high. She was 100% not. I have never been spoken to worse in my life. Unless you want to waste $10 and ruin your night, don't come here.
google avatar

Cheyanne F.

Yelp
I went to this bar last Saturday for the first time. This will also be the LAST time, as I was thrown in the back alley after being pepper sprayed by one of the bouncers for absolutely no reason, along with my boyfriend. This occurred after they thought it was okay to push him down the stairs like he wasn't even a human being and assault him for NO REASON. It started when we were upstairs holding a girl back from fighting. They assumed we were the ones fighting when neither of us did a thing and kicked us out immediately. They took us down the back stairs and as soon as we got to the bottom of the stairs we were both pepper sprayed and thrown out the door. I was called a dumb bitch about 50 times by these bouncers as well. Do they have any respect for anyone? I couldn't open my eyes for a good 50 minutes and by that time EMS & police arrived. I will NEVER go to this bar again. Had I known that the reviews I read before going were actually true, I would have never stepped foot near that dump. The owner of this business should be humiliated with how his staff acts. I attached a picture of the bouncer who pepper sprayed my boyfriend and I, as well as assaulted him and name called me. I also have a video of the bouncer spraying me and saying "here, take this" such a shame.

Yelp
Place is garbage full of garbage. Nothing appealing about this place, music is nothing but pop, bouncers seemed to be fighting each other and harassing women. There were fights in line amongst patrons as some people get in quickly while others wait forever. Worst management I've ever seen in a night club and extremely long waits for drinks (inconsistent strength too) one of our party was served what seemed to be a plain coke. We ended up leaving for the casino with a crowd of 6. $20 , just to get in. If it were free I wouldn't enter again.

Tim M.

Yelp
They charge $20 to get in, drinks are watered down. The place itself is not that packed. In light of the first two points, this explains why is not really packed. Spend the evening elsewhere

Erica L.

Yelp
The communication between the staff and manager(s) seemed poor and the bouncers were rude. I reserved a booth/bottle service for a group of my friends for my birthday this past Saturday (9/18/21). When I showed up, I was only then told we were not going to be able to get our spot until 10pm. Prior to showing up the only information I was told as that I needed to be there before 11 to claim our spot. When we were escorted to the rooftop the staff had no clue where to place us. We had to move 2 or 3 different times before sticking at our spot. The wait staff/servers seemed very surprised at how many people I had with me, even though I had mentioned there would be 15-20 people when I booked the reservation with the manager. My friend later got rudely escorted out of the bar after tripping over his friends foot who was in a walking boot. This happened only an hour after showing up -there was no chance that he was "too intoxicated" to stay. Then I went to talk to the bouncers and manager about it, where a bouncer took my drink out of my hand and dumped it outside. He told me "you can't leave with that drink" and before I could explain myself he took it out of my hand. I was never trying to leave the bar and was simply standing near the doorway talking to my friend who was on the sidewalk outside. The manager who I had booked the reservation with barely listened to me when I tried to explain the situation and did not care. Although it was a cool place to be on the rooftop, the actions of the bouncers and confused staff made it hard to enjoy the night. I can say that the bottle service girls/wait staff/photographer were very nice and helped make the night more enjoyable once we got settled in. Think twice before planning your event here.

Anna C.

Yelp
NO STARS!!! DO NOT COME HERE, they will OVERCHARGE YOU. Came here last Saturday, been trying to call since because I was overcharged by at least $200!!! Still no answer. They are some shady shit going on there

Rachel C.

Yelp
I've come here twice once around 4 right when they opened and it was a nice environment - service was a little slow. I went back Saturday and they told my friends and I that cover was $40 so we left. Later found out that you have to negotiate the cover??? I'm sorry not happening.
google avatar

Vin A.

Yelp
Best club in Detroit and best staff. Great music every weekend. One of the only places I know of that is fun all year round. Also long before Covid it's the cleanest bar or club I've ever walked into.
google avatar

Monique T.

Yelp
Loved the rooftop bar area! The DJ was amazing. Friday nights are the best night to go! The crowd is mixed and high energy. I would definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Cara N.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday to dance for a couple of hours. The music was great and exactly what we wanted, but since it's winter, the outside area is closed off - obviously. People were smoking inside??? I'm not really sure how that was ok and nobody was stopping them, but woke up with a sore throat and smelly clothes. It's fun for dancing If you arrive a little tipsy already, but definitely better/nicer bars in the area.
google avatar

Chloe S.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place pretends to be such a cool & selective "club" when all they do is take the drunkest, most scantily dressed girls that they "know"- with no regard to where they are in line. We had 18 drunk idiots whose (insert drunken slur here) "boyfriends were friend with the bouncer" cut us in line. Why even have a line if you are only going to let people you know in from the back of the line & let them in? Bouncer is an absolute joke. On the inside, this place is a ROYAL joke. My friends used to love it so that was the only reason we waited in line. The bartenders are rude, DJ usually sucks, & the drinks are below par for what they serve. Avoid.

Julia T.

Yelp
Overcrowded, no social distancing, staff was not wearing masks. Come here if you want to catch Covid.

Dennis Q.

Yelp
Sunday Sundaze Sessions by Di Techno. Nice selection of food at reasonable prices. Served quickly. Fun crowd.
google avatar

Danielle N.

Yelp
Pros: 20s-30s crowd. Good current music. Good decor. Bar staff is friendly. Pretty crowded after 11. Cons: they allow smoking inside, which you know is illegal! I can understand when they have the roof open, but I went last night in the winter when its shut and nearly suffocated from all the cigarette smoke. Bathroom attendant was appalled but the bouncer was rude and could care less.
google avatar

Joe V.

Yelp
I'm beyond my clubbing years, so I can't comment on the bouncer situations which some people seem to have quite an issue with. I can't recall ever being here when there was a bouncer with the exception of opening day maybe. I really like the space, the drinks are reasonably priced. It's a great place to come grab a drink before a game as I don't think it gets a whole lot of traffic compared to some of the other more typical pregame spots. The outdoor area is a nice, spacious place to enjoy a drink. They cover it in winter, so you can enjoy it all year round. From what other Yelpers have said, I might avoid this place at "clubbing" times, but if you're in the area at an off time, I think it's a great spot. Can't really comment on the food as I've never had it, but for drinks, I'm a fan.

Hailey B.

Yelp
Music is literal trash, every time they start a new song they either slow it down or remix it with sweet home Alabama. They had an Afro heats track with an EDM beat. Save your money sis. Also they hit you in the face with weird heavy smoke every 5 minutes.
google avatar

Yelp
DJ sucks!!!! Tried this place two times. Horrendous. $20 dollar cover for guys. What a joke for this place!

Yelp
Great for partying and having fun with friends. So crowded. Be prepared to get your shoes stepped on. You will have a good time if you want to party.

Yelp
My roommate & I have gone to Level Two twice now & each time the bouncers have been extremely rude & combative! It's completely unnecessary & ruins a perfectly good night. Many people have had similar experiences with the bouncers, I would not recommend this establishment.
