One of my favorite bagel places downtown. It's tucked away in the left side of Boston Public Market.
I'm not sure if I'm just lucky, but every time I go (around 8:30), their bagels are nice and warm as if they just came out of the oven. My favorites are the cheddar, and herb cheddar. They'll toast it for you if you want.
They put on the correct amount of cream cheese, unlike some other unnamed places that glob and slather it on like it's going to expire in 20 minutes. Levend spreads a nice layer that gives you plenty of cream cheese to compliment the bagel, without talking the bagel over completely.
Their "farm to bagel" is one of my favorite lunches. A savory bagel with a layer of sweet potato, a tart layer of apple, some greens and a thick layer of cream cheese to pull everything together. All of these different flavors (savory, sweet, and tart) compliment each other well.
For breakfast, they are on the expensive side, but not that much more expensive than other places, where you're just going to get a worse bagel anyways.
