"This 1920s-era steakhouse, adorned with high-back booths, white tablecloths, and vintage photos, is the crown jewel surf-and-turf option in Eastport. The classic menu includes cuts like porterhouse and filet mignon, clams casino, jumbo lump crab balls, and sides like creamed spinach or mashed potatoes." - Tierney Plumb, Claudia Rosenbaum

Google
1st time here, and it was a Belated Father's Day dinner for my dad and brother. Both are steak snobs, yet they were thoroughly impressed. Matt, our server was excellent! We took an hour drive to get here, and they accommodated my dad, who is an amputee. It was a perfect evening. Thanks again, we will be back!

Come hungry. Fantastic atmosphere, staff, and food. We had the Cowboy Ribeye and the Bone-in Fillet Mignon. Incredible. I ordered the ribeye rare+ / medium rare, and it was perfection. The mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach were both perfect sides for these meals.

Google
Always treated well here. Food and drink all always on point. I request Patty as our server. She's great. We love her. We visit usually once a year on Christmas Eve, which is also my wife's birthday. I usually start with the bacon, it is delicious. I usually get the NY Strip. The others in my party usually get the Filet Mignon. We usually get various ala carte sides, Aparagus, Onion Rings, Mashed potatoes. It's a fun evening out with family to celebrate Birthdays.

My wife and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary here. Our server was great but we were pretty underwhelmed with the food. Neither of our steaks were cooked to proper temperature my medium rare was medium and my wife's medium request was pretty rare in the center with a large band of well done. The creamed spinach was inedible as there was so much nutmeg in it. Everything else was under seasoned.

6/2024: The ambiance of Lewnes is a solid 5 star rating. I loved the decor, how romantic and calm this Steakhouse was. It was also nice that there was no children running around or playing. The service also a solid 5 star rating. Our waiter had fantastic recommendations, was prompt, and very kind. The food was also very delicious. The Oysters Rockefeller was probably my favorite. In comparison to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and Capital Grille - I would say Lewnes’ Ribeye came in about third place. Nonetheless, Lewnes is first place in the atmosphere and service.

Always come here for special occasions. Great family owned and operated restaurant. Food is great and the service is always top tier.

Google
Best steak house anywhere. The waiter knew everything on the menu, as well as almost every bottle of wine on the menu. Steaks were perfect; the sea bass Oscar was possibly the best I’ve ever had. There was not a bite that wasn’t amazing. I can’t wait to go back.

Google
Lewnes was fantastic! When you first walk in, you’re greeted nicely and if you’re early, can grab a drink at the bar in the front while you wait! The staff is very kind, and our server, Elaine was awesome! She gave tons of details on each dish that we had questions about. Reservations are required, so make sure you book far in advance! Because we reserved months in advance, I forgot I had put a “special birthday celebration” request in and know that OpenTable makes sure those requests are followed through! It was a really great date/birthday/Valentine’s Day evening.

Yelp
I can't say enough about how great this place is. I have never been to a better Steakhouse in Annapolis. The service is always impeccable and the atmosphere is very quiet & quaint, allowing for conversation amongst your table. The food is the best in town with their family style dishes, fresh seafood and prime cuts of meat. This is one place I have NEVER had a bad meal. Dining her is slightly more upscale, but very well worth it for the quality experience.

Nicole M.

Yelp
We love this place. It's the only place we go to for steak. I always get the lobster it's so delicious. Everything I've had has been amazing and the staff Is great! Our favorite fancy date spot.

Kanydah S.

Yelp
Lewnes' Steakhouse is one of my favorite steakhouses although I've never actually ordered beef steak from this restaurant. Instead, I am in love with their Pan Seared Yellowfin Tuna Steak, which I order each and every time I visit. I'm literally hooked lol. The dish is tender when ordered medium style and super flavorful with notes of sea salt, garlic and lemon amazingness. It comes with a delicious mustard aioli sauce for dipping but honestly its amazing by itself. I also love there shrimp and spinach dish called Garides Scortholemono ( a Greek staple) . I usually also get the creamed spinach, sauteed mushrooms, or asparagus as a side. The ambiance has a beautiful vintage vibe, with plush seat and great lighting. They offer great service , friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I've never has a bad experience here. It's location is not too far from the water so its great for a date night or special occasion. Street Parking is fairly simple depending on the time of day you visit. They do no offer valet which is unfortunate, but not a damper on the overall experience. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I've been eyeing this place ever since I read about it being one of the best steakhouses on east coast on reddit. Seeing as how I lived just over an hour away I was happy to test out the hypothesis, and it didnt disappoint. I made reservations and found street parking. I was a smidge late, but fortunately they didnt give my table away. Once seated, I noticed the decor and ambiance was a bit aged, though still nice. I ordered an old fashion while my friend had red wine. We both ordered new york strip steaks and had salads to start. I went with a house while my friend had a greek salad, and tbh I wish I ordered the greek salad. the salad comes with potatoes under the lettuce and is topped with a bright tasting greek dressing consisting of lemon, garlic, and herbs. Coupled with the feta it reminded of my growing up in NYC and stopping in all of the rich tasting greek diners on the island. This stole the night for me, I'd go back just for this greek salad. The steakhouse's menu describes the restaurant as being the first to offer prime steaks. Upon further research I found that prime steak is the highest grade a meat could obtain. The meat tends to be juicer, packed with flavor and great has marbling. Lastly, the meat is cooked in a broiler at 1800 degrees. What surprised me the most was how well the steak was cooked, I ordered mine to be medium rare and typically in a restaurant medium rare means the middle of the steak is medium rare and the outside is more medium. However here the outside was medium rare and the center, inside of the steak was more on the rare side. What was disappointing was that the restaurant only tops their steaks with butter. Maybe I've grown accustomed to salt and pepper and while the steak was good, it felt like it was missing something. We also ordered a baked potato and mushrooms. The baked potato can be topped with butter, sour cream but not chives which is unfortunate but I managed. Both portions were enough to satisfy us both. The service was great, there are no complaints there. The waitress offered their opinion when asked, and guided us to the house favorites. She was quick to refill the water, and was prompt in returning often.

Yelp
This place was amazing. I've been hearing about this steakhouse for years and finally made the time to dine here. Stepping into this establishment you feel like you're going back in time to a bygone era. The wait staff is all dressed in butcher jackets which really adds to the ambience of an old time feel. I started off with the Blackberry Collins cocktail. Delish! I only had one, but I certainly could have gotten another. Very fruity, but somehow not overly sweet. In addition to that we also ordered a bottle of Panna water for the table. For our appetizer we got the slab of thick cut bacon. Again, amazing. Just the right amount of caramelized fat to meat ratio. We were definitely off to a great start! I got the ribeye Oscar style (crabmeat and béarnaise), perfectly cooked! We got a total of 4 half portioned sides to share family style. The french fried potatoes are an absolute much try. It a fried cross between a chips and fries. We also got the lyonnaise potatoes also delicious, asparagus and creamed spinach. Everything we had was exceptionally good. Start to finish we enjoyed every bit of our meal and dining experience as a whole. Although, this was my first time dining here, no doubt it will not be my last.

Yelp
We have been coming here when we are in town for something like 20 years. For all of that time, the food has been excellent and the service the same. Tonight we went for the first time in 18 months and we were so looking forward to going. As always the food was on point, if the best anywhere. Tonight though , the service was awful! We sat at the bar and the bartender, who has been awesome in the past, simply ignored us all night. We were served food and couldn't get utensils. We finished drinks and weren't asked if we wanted anything else. Our food was finished and we sat and sat until I finally got their attention and asked for a check. Simply the worst service we have had in years... They did comp a second round of drinks as clearly they were aware something was wrong. It wasn't even that busy. I am so sorry to post this but you have earned it.

Karl L.

Yelp
Impeccable service! Incredible food and drinks! Our server for party of 10 was on top of every drink refill and food came out perfectly timed.

Yelp
Been here a few times Love the "old school steakhouse" look Service is always wonderful and they always give great suggestions The onion bread is different, full of onion flavor The crab balls are great, actually enjoy them more than the regular sized crab cakes Steaks are always great and cooked perfectly My favorite dish here is the creamed spinach. Creamed spinach is your typical steakhouse dish, but something they put in it makes it stand out. Have considered driving to Annapolis just to get that side dish several times.

Nick A.

Yelp
This place is so cool, great family vibe with that old school mobster steakhouse vibe we all love! Greek salad to start, amazing ribeye and creamed spinach. This place is classic!!

Dawn C.

Yelp
We love Lewnes' Steakhouse. The food is always excellent, and the service is even better. We love to go there for special occasions. We prefer to eat downstairs there, and it's quiet and romantic. I highly recommend Lewnes'. It's our go to place when we are looking for an elegant dining experience. We will be back again!

Kate Z.

Yelp
The steakhouse is one of the best in Annapolis and I highly recommended for special occasions. The warm old world ambience, combined with the perfect music makes for thoroughly enjoyable evening. My waiter Brian was wonderfully attentive and made recommendations from the menu based on my preferences. My steak was cooked perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Fair warning, the martinis here are exceptional and a little larger than most. I had a wonderful time, celebrating my company anniversary and look forward to coming back again.

Demond S.

Yelp
I enjoy a great steak every once and a while. I have had my fare share. I will have to say, Lewnes is now new favorite Steakhouse. They are located in Annapolis. I have to tell you that finding parking is a challenge. But once you do, Lewnes is ready to greet and serve you. The restaurant sits on the corner in the downtown marina area. Once you walk in, you are consumed by their upscale charm. The bartenders are great and cleearly masters of their craft. The host and wait staff were very nice and accommodating. When the server said they offered a 40oz steak, I had to accept the challenge. The steak was the perfect size, perfect temp, and flavor was over the top. I ordered mash potatoes and asparagus for sides. Lewnes checked all the right boxes for fine dining at a Steakhouse. I look forward to my next visit.

Buonarotti G.

Yelp
Lewnes steakhouse is always a treat. Steaks are absolutely delicious. They melt in your mouth service is great and the wonderful ambience and the people genuinely couldn't be nicer. It is the only restaurant that I dine in in Annapolis. I highly recommend it. I've been eating there for oh my God over 20 years.

Yelp
My wife and I ate at Lewnes' Steakhouse last weekend for our anniversary. To start off, we ordered the crab balls as an appetizer. They came with home made cocktail sauce & a dry mustard sauce. The crab balls were amazing. We loved the dry mustard sauce. For dinner, I had the 16oz ribeye, while my wife had a Chilean sea bass. Both entrees were amazing. The ribeye was one of the best that I've had. Sides are ordered a la carte. I got a baked potato and an order of onion rings. The baked potato was huge. We had to get a box for the onion rings, as I was full after eating the ribeye & potato. Our server, Matt (I think that was his name) , was absolutely amazing. He knew the history of the restaurant by memory. His suggestions were on point. We really enjoyed having him as a server. He even brought out a hot fudge brownie sundae for us since it was our anniversary. Lewnes' Steakhouse is popular, so make sure to make a reservation. You won't be disappointed in this place. It's a throwback to classy restaurants of old. We will definitely be back. Thanks for making our special night fantastic.

Yelp
My wife and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary here last week. It was our second visit in as many years. In both instances the service and food were excellent . This is an excellent steakhouse with an old school ambiance. Our experience was such that we will make this one of our 'go to' places for a special occasions.

Toshia D.

Yelp
We had a recent dining experience at Lewnes restaurant this past Sunday. We were not impressed. The servier was sweet and the staff was nice. However, i was truly unimpressed. We ordered a 40ox Tomahawk steak medium to share which lacked flavor completely. The edges nor tbe interior had any flavor, not even close to the bone. That steak was $160 and we managed through it not to waste our money and we were hungry. We also don't believe it was nearly 40oz. The mash potatoes were soupy. The crabcake would have been fine if we didn't bit into shells with every bite. Even the shrimp cocktail missed as the shrimp used were not quality. Needless to say, we super wasted $310 on a meal here.

Colin S.

Yelp
We came for an anniversary and had a really wonderful experience. Our server, Nikki, is outstanding. Very welcoming and a great server, we were so fortunate to have her. The owner was walking around and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He stopped in throughout the meal to check on us and was very charming. When we were first sat, we were next to a rather large party who was making a bit of noise and we were offered another table in a quieter room without having to ask. It seems like the staff genuinely care. Not only was the service terrific, but the food was out of this world. We got the cowboy ribeye and the filet mignon with the crab cakes on each. Can't say enough good things about it. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to others!

Sarah M.

Yelp
What an incredible experience! The restaurant was cozy and comfortable. The food was out of this world amazing! We order oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer with cocktails. It was incredible! The bread was incredible. For my main entree, I ordered lamp chops which were delicious! The waiter was so funny and friendly. I joked about only have pistachios on lamp chops before so he brought out crushed pistachios for me. It doesn't come with that but we had a laugh. The wine was delicious! We ordered three vegetables to share as a table and cleaned our plates by the end. I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes! Amazing restaurant to celebrate a special occasion.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Still a local Keeper We have been going to Lewnes' for years....not frequently I might add...but when we can. It is the best steakhouse in Annapolis. Service always good and enjoy the old style ambiance. My only gripe is they keep messing with the potato's. FIrstly..they used to have the BEST hash browns in town. Then for some off reason they went from pan to fryer and ruined them. Now, they previously came up with a hybrid french fry where the potato was still thin, but had some texture which was actually really good. We were there the other night and now that french fry is a potato chip. I DO NOT WANT A CHIP WITH MY STEAK. Still love you guys...but please revisit your choices. I will go to Smokehouse if I want a chip versus a fry.

E Z.

Yelp
Outstanding food and service. I had the petite filet. It was cooked perfectly, and the side of mushrooms made my dinner! Good drink pours also.

Rick W.

Yelp
Sorry to say that my wife's and my favorite restaurant after thirty years of marriage has dropped to us not wanting to return at all. We have had so many amazing meals but this years Valentines day hit an all time low. Oysters were warm, we asked for ice, we were given ice, we put the oysters on ice ourselves..They tasted terrible, left three on the plate. Later when we got home..Montezuma's revenge..:-( Never removed from check. I am not the type that asks for it to be removed, I expect it to be. Lamb chops tasted great. 50% of the chop was fat. Never had that type of product there. They did replenish with two good chops. I still tipped the waiter 20%, the coat lady $10. I did my same 'ol thing..Lewnes though failed.

Antar W.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I was thoroughly impressed by the service, food, and experience. They have an extensive food and wine menu. Even though you don't expect to find a bevy of kid friendly options at a nice steak house, we were pleasantly surprised and pleased with the chicken tender plate that we ordered for our picky 7 year old. I had a bone in filet which was expertly prepared with a nice red center. The sides were tasty and plentiful. Highly recommend for a date night or the next time you have something to celebrate.

Rachel R.

Yelp
My bf and I came here for our anniversary a couple of days ago and it was extraordinary. From amazing service to the food you couldn't ask for much more. We even got our meal paid for by a couple sitting across from us. Needless to say it was a perfect anniversary!

Tish B.

Yelp
My favorite steak house in Annapolis. The food and atmosphere is amazing. Customer service was on point.

Melody A.

Yelp
I really had a great time here. I love the atmosphere and vibe. Very sophisticated and I loved the classical music. The Onion Bread was so good. The Seafood Bisque was incredible. The Old Fashion was bold and strong, just how I like it. They have wonderful appetizers, side dishes and desserts.

Kodi R.

Yelp
We have been to Lewnes a few times now for special occasions and it's always a great time. Huge, beautifully cooked steaks, great seafood, impeccable service, one of our favorite places

Don B.

Yelp
6 of us went Saturday night to celebrate my wife and I anniversary. None of us had been there before so we wanted to try it. The decor was old school which I liked a lot. Our server was fantastic. We order Clams Casino and Oysters Rockefeller for appetizers They were great. The issue.....the steaks. I have heard people rave about this place. I have seen it on several food channels all saying how great it was. One in our party got the Chilean Sea Bass. She said that was amazing. The rest of us...various steaks. I have to admit, one in our party will ruin a steak no matter where we take her...she likes it WELL done. Her steak was under cooked. The filet for my wife was undercooked but she ate it. My buddy and I split the Tomahawk steak. We asked for it medium since that's how my buddy likes it. I prefer it closer to medium rare. It was definitely medium rare closer to rare. The steaks didn't have great flavor. I would give this place 2nd chance due to the service alone. I think his name was Tim. I would give this place a 3.75 if it let me.

Danielle C.

Yelp
Top Notch steaks and Service! A wonderful treat for any Special Occasion! We have celebrated both of our Birthdays here and it's provided us with wonderful memories!

Scott M.

Yelp
Had a great evening at one of the best steak houses around. I Started off with a slab of bacon appetizer. After taking the first bite I wondered to myself if this is the way bacon was originally supposed to taste, best tasting bacon ever. Next we had a side salad, again very crisp cold lettuce with plenty accessories like olives, cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes. With ample amounts of ranch dressing made this salad a show stopper. Then the big guy came out. The 28 ounce porterhouse cooked medium rare showed up to my table and I instantly fell in love. Knowing there was no way I would be able to eat this mammoth steak in one setting I chose to go with a large side of the steak first saving the smaller mower tender piece for the next day. I have to admit the steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and the internal temperature was warm to the touch which is exactly the way it should've been cooked. The flavor and the aroma what tantalizing. I highly recommend eating the steak. Lastly, knowing that I was going to save room for dessert and listening to their massive dessert menu, I chose the Keylime pie which is my all-time fave. Other than outside of Key West, it's been a while since I had a piece of Keylime pie that tasted this delicious. Thank you guys for such great service. I give this place 5 starts

Patricia C.

Yelp
Excellent fine dining restaurant with superb service, intimate dining booths, and wonderful steaks, in particular. Don't let the tiny entrance lobby area that also houses the cozy bar concern you, as the remainder of the restaurant is spacious and provides for intimate, private dining. Highly recommend Lewnes for a special

Sheila F.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. The wait staff is especially helpful and friendly and ours even anticipated our needs without us asking. The sides are large enough to share and the filets were cooked to perfection. The amount of crab served in the Steak Oscar was unbelievable (had to be at least a cup of lump crabmeat) and way more than anticipated (so I got to have some)! I highly recommend this steakhouse but so make reservations.

Christine M.

Yelp
I toggled between giving Lewne's a four or five star rating. My star deduction is based off of three things (1) the starter onion bread for the table is plain with not warmth and just a big amount of wasted carb calories (2) this had to be the worst creamed spinach I've ever had (3) parking isn't the best. The restaurant is located near Ruth Chris & Blackwall Hitch, so if you know that area, it's to be expected. As for the steak, it was really good and I enjoyed every bit of it and their Greek salad was perfect too. If I were rating solely based on the steak, I would have gave them 5 stars. Our reservation was exactly at 4:00 and if you get there a little early, you're allowed to sit at the bar and order drinks before the seat you. The atmosphere was nice and customer service was great too, we'll definitely be back.

Eric M.

Yelp
It was really disappointing. For dinner for a couple of birthdays, all three steaks ordered medium were severely undercooked, very rare. The baked potato and mushrooms were cold. It was our first time there, and it was expensive and overrated, we will go to Ruth's Chris the next time. To be fair, the ice cream brownie sundae was fantastic.

Marilou Y.

Yelp
Went here with some friends for my birthday and it was such a great experience. The server was very attentive. The steak could be cut by a spoon. The crab balls and the sauce was amazing . I will definitely come back

Susan T.

Yelp
There were four of us and this was a Birthday dinner. I had the petite filet mignon medium, the steak was very good. My husband and step daughter both has the 16 oz ribeye, the steak was cooked to their order however didn't have much flavor. My step son ordered the Tuna Steak he said it was very good. The house salads were good. The onion bread was so so. The sides were atrocious. We ordered the spinach with garlic and lemon. There was absolutely no lemon or garlic and the onions in the spinach were fried!! eww.. The asparagus was ok but how do you mess that up. The mashed potatoes tasted like dish soap and were soupy and almost sticky... very strange consistency. The oysters were descent and the brownie Sunday was good. The coffee tasted burnt. I would not go back and would not recommend.. The Service was very good and the Ambiance was good however the sides did us in and we will not go back.

Danielle E.

Yelp
Great old fashioned steakhouse. USDA Prime quality meats seasoned for 48hrs and prepared to your temperature preference. I had the porterhouse steak and the hubs choice was the 40oz tomahawk ribeye special. They also had a 30oz cowboy that night. The sides are large sharable portions and our choice were the sauteed mushrooms - sauteed in butter, garlic and onions and the lyonnaise potatoes - pan fried potatoes with garlic and onions.....those were silky smooth with a crisp burn on the edges, definitely my recommendation! Service was great, we sat in the little private booth section towards the back. The high back booths with wood paneling gave the old times classic privacy vibe. We definitely love this place for intimate celebrations. Parking is street parking in downtown Annapolis, choose your dinner time wisely and make reservations. Read the street signs!

Bruce B.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance is top notch. Have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed. I have eaten all over the U.S. and haven't had better.

Pri S.

Yelp
Valentine's Day 2022 Dinner I waited to long to try this steakhouse. I have eaten at all the major franchise steakhouses and local steakhouses. This is by far the best. Spiros famous Greek salad I wasn't to impress. It was just doused in olive oil. I wish it had some vingear to brighten up the salad. It also had cooked potatoes which was interesting. They have a small salad not listed on the menu. The steak was cooked perfectly. The crust on the steak was just magic so crunchy and flavor bombs. It was a true medium well. Cooked perfect. I would ask for a tad more butter next time. I especially loved the sides it was just fresh vegetables cooked in butter and olive oil. So simple and good. The wine list is very detailed and organized. There was alot of choices. However we aren't winos we skipped out on the wine. It was a smaller cocktail list. Mostly martini drinks. I am not a huge martini drinker. But I did want to try one. I don't remember the name. I did like how it wasn't served in a traditional martini glass. For using grey goose the price on the cocktail was good. It was under $10. Also it was pretty stiff drink. The brownie sundae was the only in house made dessert. It is super rich. Delicious way to end dinner. Taking 1 star away for being so cold in the dining room. It was really cold. Towards the end of dinner I had to put on my coat. Will I ever go back yes. Will I speak up about temperature of the room yes if it's this cold again. Brrr! Parking was limited on streets. However if your lucky street parking is free. There is a garage somewhere near there but we found street parking. It's located downtown Annapolis. I will definitely recommend this steakhouse.

Michael N.

Yelp
Luckily made it here on sporadic reservation after a movie. Must say - the rustic, exterior themed corner location demands prominence. The interior isn't too cramped, featuring rustic, oak themed-palette tones encircling the walls. It's a healthy blend of spacious and compartmentalized. Came as a party of 4, and all left very pleased. 3 Tomahawks and 1 Cowboy were ordered, and all four of us shared no complaints with the cook/service. The steak was juicy and tender, the cream spinach wasn't too heavy / light, the service was friendly, and in that night it was obvious we were one of many patron groups enjoying our time. Definitely planning a return here. 5* from me!

Courtney T.

Yelp
I went last week for a friends bday & had an amazing experience! We had the thick cut bacon - delicious & the oyster's rockefeller - just okay to me (friend loved them) but they were very fresh! We had the cowboy ribeye & petite filet, both Oscar style - AMAZING. The Greek salad & lyonnaise potatoes were all stars. I didn't enjoy the cream spinach, but I typically don't in general anywhere..my friend liked it though. Ted was our server, he made good suggestions & was super knowledgeable about the menu, he was sure to make my friends birthday special with a candle lit dessert. We will be back Lewne's! Also, try the Manhattan.

Jason C.

Yelp
I don't give 5 stars often. This place was absolutely amazing. Wonderful dinner spot for 2-4 people. Nice night out, not for an average dinner. We came here for an Anniversary. Appetizer: oysters and wedge salad- both were good. Got the ribeye medium and It was probably one of the best steaks I've had- truly amazing. And I'm a very picky steak person. Brownie and ice cream dessert was amazing. Service was fantastic. Food came out at a reasonable time and was perfect. White wine was excellent. Very cozy place with comfortable classic jazz background. Would highly recommend for a nice dinner or special occasion. Spent $165 for two with a bottle of wine. Would return.

Yelp
Went in for dinner, based upon my fellow Yelpers. (I love my fellow Yelpers!) I sat at the bar and ordered the house salad, the tuna, and a baked potato. My thoughts: *The house salad is interesting and yummy. I ate nearly all of it, except for the large slices of red onion. *The tuna was HUGE! I ate half for dinner and still had half for a nice lunch the following day. Loved it. *The baked potato is, in my opinion, a hard pass. I love a soft baked potato that has been in the oven for hours. This potato, while enormous, was quite hard. (Next time, I will try one of the other varieties: mashed, hash, or Lyonnaise.) I was so full that there was no room for dessert. (The house-made brownie sounds delicious, however. Maybe next time?!) The service was excellent. Will definitely visit Lewnes' again!

Jessica M.

Yelp
Super cute ambiance! We went Sunday evening and it was quiet and the waiter was super friendly. The food was outstanding! I got the tuna and the char on the outside of the tuna was some of the best I've ever had. It's a lot of food, the sides are huge. The waiter even brought us out a dessert for free. Overall 10/10, thank you!

Yelp
Wow. Hands down the best steak I've ever had. I got the Petite Filet with asparagus, and mushrooms to accompany and it was all amazing. The filet had a delicious crust on all sides, crisp and a little salty. It was the absolute perfect balance of flavors, I'm salivating just thinking of it now. The mushrooms were delicious as well, they were nice and buttery and the asparagus added a nice freshness to the meal. The maple bacon special appetizer was really good - definitely a slab of pork belly rather than bacon but delicious nonetheless. The Brownie a La Mode and raspberry sorbet were the perfect way to finish the meal. Great service and great food - you can't go wrong with this family owned Annapolis classic!

Yelp
Always the place to go for a steak. Excellent Greek salad and sides to complement. Service is always first rate, five star.

Yelp
Worth the hype! You won't find a huge menu here to sort through with a bunch of side options but you also won't miss them. If you want a quality, well prepared steak Lewnes will deliver it. We started with the crab balls, perfectly prepared and minimal filler although the squeeze of lemon was helpful. I had the Greek salad and was a little surprised by the potatoes on the bottom. The dressing was very zesty (the way I like it) and there was plenty of delicious feta cheese. We shared the hasbrowns which were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. A 3.5 lb lobster accompanied our filets ( I got the 8 ounce Oscar style and my husband had the 13 ounce). The waiter was kind enough to declaw it for us table side. He did notice that one claw could use a little longer steam and took it back to the kitchen to finish cooking for us. Top notch service and friendly staff. The ambience is lovely for a date night.

Yelp
Me and the wife was visiting and took my mom to Lewnes, here are my thoughts: * Wife and I as always ordered filets and they were very tasty..they cook them in butter and it shows. * Mom had crab cakes and enjoyed them, though she mentioned they were fried , not broiled, which she prefers .Her husband also has a filet , which he deemed excellent. * We got mashed potatoes as a side , while they were excellent, way too small of a portion for the price. * The onion bread was very good , but my wife hates the taste of onion , maybe have another option. We would return as all in all it was a good meal.
