Google
Their fall specials are excellent, especially the Hot Fries and the Magic Pumpkin shake. The parking lot is very small, which could be an issue on a busy day. I had no problems, however, and received my food quickly upon arriving.

Google
This is a really really good hamburger joint. Service was friendly. Food was fresh, cooked to order and delicious. We got two burgers and the truffle fries.

Nemo S.

Google
Burger was delicious...fries were the best I have ever had as well...Ginni "the dope" (her words, not mine lol) was sensational. She was hilarious and legit! Give her a raise (no..she's not my sister). Bonus points cause the place spells Lexie the same way my daughter is spelt!

Cassie Lee B.

Google
These burgers are some of the best around! So juicy and tasty! Their shakes are also great and they take care in decorating them with the Choco drizzle! I did not personally eat the fries, but my boyfriend swears by them!

Jason S.

Google
5 stars just for having Murphy’s Irish stout! The burger was bomb too… so I got a second.

Google
This is the best burger I've ever had! I stopped by in a long road trip. I built my own burger, which was a bacon cheeseburger with veggies, and it was so tasty and full of flavor. I highly recommend, and I will go back if I'm ever in the area again.

Google
This place is great! Tasty burgers - I had beef and my wife had black bean. She has high standards for veggie burgers and really enjoyed it. She got the burning down the house version and loved the flavor. I got the classic and really enjoyed it. Bistro fries were very flavorful and crispy. One comment is I ordered burger medium and it had no color. Was still juicy and I’m not picky so I still enjoyed it. Just a caution to folks who prefer their meat less well done. Also price is very reasonable and good value. Strongly recommend!

Google
Yum! After our first visit to Lexie's, I can honestly say they have the best black bean burger I have ever had. You can tell that their patties are homemade. I ordered the Green Muenster burger and the toppings were delicious on the veggie-based patty. We were also a fan of their thick and creamy milkshakes, but the fries, while good, weren't impressive. Their location is cozy, but filled with character, and the staff is wonderful. The outdoor seating is surprisingly quiet and fun during the summer months. I prefer it over the indoor seating as it is limited. We will visit in the future to try more of their burger combinations.

Yelp
Food is great and it's cheap. Will def go back. Great burgers. Just really good. Filling, great options. I love blue cheese with a burger and I got one with bacon and added onion rings on top it was awesome. Decadent. Atmosphere is super. This isn't a romantic date place. It is a locals, good food, friendly, great service, place to go again and again. There is one in Portsmouth in addition, and I wish there was one in Beverly! We have burger place but it is much pricier and a nice restaurant. This fits a different need. You can get in and out easily. You can color while you wait and walls are covered with people's drawings, not just kids. Hubby got a special lemonade with pureed mango in it and that was great but we ended up pouring half into another cup and adding water to both. It was stronger than needed. Wait staff are so positive and helpful and quick. Food is quick. I did see someone who was obviously cook/chef and he looked like he eats there a lot! Not a healthy place for our options, but I also heard their spicy bean burger is also really good. Onion rings were quite good. I prefer when they are thinner like onion strings, but these were not at all greasy. They have ice cream for dessert but we didn't have room.

Yelp
Stopped by with a couple of friends, and I had the Bistro Fries, the Fish Tacos, and the Farmhouse burger with the runny yolk. Arrived within 15-20 minutes, and the vibe in the place is very much homely, very comfy. All I can say is this is a MUST TRY restaurant, the fish tacos tasted very delicate and fresh, with the crispiness of the fish, and the taco itself held up very very well, served with a slice of lime. The burger was fantastic, and was not too greasy or salty, the perfect amount of flavor, much credit to the aioli it was served with. The bistro fries tasted very cheesy, and saucy, making it (in my opinion) the most heavy thing I had here, which is a very good thing. I've had a rough time trying to search for food spots after moving here from San Diego, as Yelp reviews tend to wildly inflate from how I would rate different places, but this place would fit right in to San Diego's hot spots of landmark restaurants that one must experience in their life time.

Yelp
Lexie's Joint is such an amazing place!! I had the instant classic burger and it is FANTASTIC!! Burger tasted fresh and the sauce is amazing. I also got the fried pickles for the first time and it was WORTH IT. They gave me so much that I had to share with my partner! The service was quick and our server was super nice. He sat us down quick and I love how with your receipt you get a small cookie from them. It's a cute idea! The seating area itself is nice but on the smaller side. My partner and I made sure to get there early because when it's busy the seats are limited! Overall it's an amazing spot with fair prices! 100% would recommend to anyone
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
I went here on the recommendation of my cousin, who says she stops here every time she's in the area. I was so glad I did! This is such a cute, bright, fun place. The food was amazing and our server held it down. She was great!
google avatar

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Food was delicious and came out quickly!! Limited seating but the wait was not bad and there is a park nearby with benches if the weather is good. The hands drawn pictures kids drew decorating the walls are super cute. No complaints!
google avatar

Phoebe L.

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend for a quick dinner, and the vibe is just soo cute! He warned me that the burgers were small, so we each got a couple and split some fries. We also split a cucumber mint lemonade that was super refreshing! Our server was also such a sweetheart :) The fries were some of the best fries I've ever had no joke. The burgers were also creative and delicious! My favorite was the fun guy, and the blue cheese was perfect without being overpowering. The put a ring on it was also really good (who doesn't love an egg on their burger??). I normally hate fried pickles, but the Lexie's big mouth was great! The only one I didn't like was the green lantern since the chimichurri was kinda weird on a cheese burger. In our eyes, the only downside is that we definitely needed more than 1 burger each to feel full, so the meal ended up a little more expensive than we wanted.
google avatar

Melissa E.

Yelp
This is place fire! The food is fresh and the staff is so nice.the little cookies that they bring at the end of the meal is a treat.

Yelp
This is a solid burger joint of the sort that's been popular over the past ten years or so (think a smaller business Shake Shack, Five Guys, or SmashBurger). The burgers are pretty good. The restaurant stands out in a few ways: 1) Their fries are freaking incredible, especially in their "bistro fries" incarnation (topped with herbed aioli, bacon, Parmesan, and herbs). Maybe the best fries I've had anywhere and maybe the best options to top fries. 2) Their burger menu is more creative than most. They have options for topping combinations that make sense but that I haven't seen offered elsewhere. 3) While it's still basically a QSR, they have some quick, friendly, tableside service. 4) The small, complimentary chocolate chip cookies they give at the end of meals are . The general appearance inside is cute. The cucumber mint lemonade is also very good, and better than that drink is at other places. Generally, a pretty good burger joint.
google avatar

Luke V.

Yelp
I love Lexie's! True Portsmouth staple. Burgers are cheap and good. I love their lemonade with mint and cucumber. Service is always quick and good. They recently updated their look and it's fresh and awesome. They have little drawings on the wall.

Shaun A.

Yelp
Great fish tacos, I went here based on yelp ratings and was not unhappy with my choice.
google avatar

Lise H.

Yelp
For a local fast food joint, this really hit the spot for me and my friends! The freshly made to order burgers are simply delicious. The variety of toppings (avocado and sunny side egg, and fried pickles) caught our eyes when scouting for some good Portsmouth food. I got the farmhouse burger cooked medium with a sunny side egg. The burgers were like shake shack burgers, but the flavors and topping combos really made them standout. I wish there was Lexie's Joint in NY because if so, I would probably eat burgers more often. The staff were super friendly and offered to go above and beyond to accommodate our huge group. They also gave us some complimentary cookies after our meal. Only thing we wished was that the cook on some of our burgers requested to be medium were more well done than medium.

Deb G.

Yelp
Delicious burger! Ordered take out: 2 double patty - Burning Down the House, pink. YUMMY, juicy, flavorful. Good onion rings, just a tad salty. Also ordered the truffle fries, also salty and a bit too salty. Would absolutely go back for the burgers!!
google avatar

Angela B.

Yelp
We ordered take out..my burger (with blue cheese and bacon) was delish! The real highlight was my chocolate shake (with Oreos and whipped cream).
google avatar

Jay L.

Yelp
Amazing burgers. The fries and onion rings were had cut and delicious. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place. Shake was really thick and tasted great.
google avatar

Debbie G.

Yelp
Have been here many times in the last few years. Great food and excellent customer service, staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place for casual dining, however I have never eaten in the restaurant. But great service for take out.

Yelp
Been wanted to visit for awhile. Firstly, it was extremely difficult to find parking. There are very limited parking spots (like 3) in the lot, that were all full. We drove up and down the street trying to find street parking and had to walk a good distance. Inside, is small and intimate. You order at the counter. We took our food to go as there was limited seating inside at the time we went. I got the Farmhouse burger, and I didn't know where to start with eating it. It was loaded, juicy, and very tasty. My one complaint is the fried egg on top, though I did request a runny yoke, the egg white was still undercooked and runny and I had to scrape most of the egg off. The Hey Guy burger was also loaded and full of taste. Our regret was not getting fries, but that would have to be for next time.

Yelp
Lexie's is on the outskirts away from the touristy attractions downtown. There is nothing fancy about this place. The burgers are fantastic whether I order "Lexie's big mouth" or the "Instant classic." Lexie's has some killer burger sauces the "Hush" sauce and" herbed aioli" that really make these burgers stand out. The burgers are not super big but so good. Lexie's has a great Grapefruit IPA from Cisco Breweries in Nantucket ABV 5.5%

Cameron L.

Yelp
I was working in the area and found Lexie's when looking for places close by to eat, luckily they were a 2 minute walk so I decided to give them a shot Lexie's is a small shop with what seems to be very friendly staff (gives you the family owned Buiness vibe) when I was looking at their menu I was very intrigued with the pricing, with me taking lunch on work daily it can tend to get expensive, however lexies serving a patty that's at least a 1/2 pound and crispy seasoned fries with it for only 7 dollars is almost a donation when comparing it to competitors (normally like $15-20 for a meal like that) It sadly does not come with a water however they have some at the store with cups I heard that you cannot sit when you order takeout however I had no issues myself.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch on our way down from Maine. Easy to find, not far from 95. Street parking. I ordered fish tacos, and the bistro fries. The pickled onions on the tacos were fairly bland, but the tacos were excellent. The fries were good, not great. Small space, a bit noisy, tables close together, informal atmosphere. I'm not planning to visit Portsmouth anytime soon, but I'd go back.

Yelp
Passing through town, in need of a burger, I was met with a decision. Do I choose the weathered looking dive or the slightly hipper place across the street? The answer was the more modest Lexie's joint. While the exterior has that weathered charm, the interior is modern beach side cuteness, to be expected of the area. The staff is friendly, personable and put in the extra effort despite the obvious lunch time rush. I ordered the green muenster and the bistro fries. I like simplicity with burgers so I was a bit out of my comfort zone with my order, but the menu sold me. I don't think it mattered what I could have ordered though. The burger was a beautiful juicy medium. The meat does all the talking but the cheese and bacon were a beautiful addition, making a solid unit with the burger. I could have gone more simple and been just as happy but I'm not upset either way. A+ The fries were packed with a variety of fun flavors. The fries themselves are a solid cook and can be enjoyed solo. My one complaint is they are too salty for my liking, but not out of standard fry expectations. They still get a high rating for the cook and flavors. I would pass through again, but this time, I would not be met with a decision to make in burger options in town.

Bonnie R.

Yelp
Delicious chicken burger and fries - both gluten free! Friendly staff, cozy location.
google avatar

Yelp
Lexie's can give lessons on how to make THE BEST fish taco to all restaurants in the area! The fish tacos are to die for. The fish is plentiful and crispy fried, the slaw is crunchy and tasty and the soft shell is heated to a mild crunch. Add avo for a perfect taste sensation. Well done, Lexie's - best fish taco around!
google avatar

Kayla Lee L.

Yelp
Amazing burger, and very good serving of onion rings. Burger was cooked perfectly. Wait staff were wonderful and very polite. Absolutely a sweet little place to stop by if you're on the road.
google avatar

Meg T.

Yelp
Three words. Buttermilk onion rings. We dropped into Lexie's Joint for a quick meal before checking into our New Castle hotel. The service was incredibly warm and friendly and I ordered the Plain Jane al a carte burger, adding on bacon, lettuce, and a fried egg. It was utterly delicious! But the pièce de résistance were definitely the delectable buttermilk onion rings. They were so light and flavorful. Easily the best onion rings I've ever had and I wanted so badly to come back the next day for more. So if you're in the area you should definitely stop by because Lexie's Joint is simply hands down amazing.

Joanna P.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for a late lunch. The restaurant was super cute with a very friendly server. We got the Cucumber mint lemonade, bistro fries, and fish tacos. All of which were delicious. We also got two takeout orders of fish tacos and they were very enjoyed by our friends too. They also gave us two little mini chocolate chip cookies on the house at the end, which was a very cute touch! Highly recommend Lexie's Joint and will certainly make a stop here again next time I'm in the area!

Louis G.

Yelp
Love their burgers and shakes!!! Recommend to everyone in and around Portsmouth!!! ....
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Awesome experience at Lexie's. We were looking for a quick lunch and Lexie's was perfect. We really enjoyed the menu options and that you can pick your meat with any of the burger menu options. The truffle fries were tasty as well. Cool place with friendly service!
google avatar

Ann F.

Yelp
Lexie's serves mostly burgers: beef, chicken, and a housemade veggie patty that is to die for. They have about a million toppings (I like the "fun guy" with sautéed mushrooms, onion rings, and blue cheese.) Even their drinks, which include either strawberry or cucumber mint lemonade, rise above. And don't get me started on the truffle fries or the milkshakes. They have several locations, we like Portsmouth .

Bernadette D.

Yelp
Lexie's is a little gem! We had a great lunch- perfect french fries and excellent burgers. The homemade chimichurri was delicious. Normal sizes, normal prices. Clean, pleasant, and welcoming space- Our server, Ginny, was friendly and fabulous! We'll be back!
google avatar

Samantha A.

Yelp
Burgers and fries are fantastic! They also have a pretty good selection of beer to choose from. I love the inside - it's quaint and cozy. Plus there is outdoor dining in the summer. The staff was very nice and food came out quick!
google avatar

Karen P.

Yelp
Great food. Delivered quickly. Good service. Small place tho so be prepared to wait a bit for a table.
google avatar

Geoff P.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service. Wish they had more merchandise! The truffle fries were so delicious, and the dining room was cozy and ambient. Overall, amazing food, and I would recommend this place to anyone!
google avatar

Ashleigh J.

Yelp
Holy mother of all that is fish sandwiches. I was in town for an appointment and decided to give Lexi's a whirl (one of the few places open on a Tuesday in Portsmouth) and I was pleasantly surprised beyond my wildest dreams. While it could be because I didn't eat at all today, I think it's because the food is truly that good. I ordered the Big Catch Fish Sandwich with avocado, an order of Truffle Fries with Herbed Aioli, and of course, what self-torturing lactose intolerant person would I be if I didn't get a Sweet and Salty milkshake with chocolate sauce? It absolutely hit the spot. Unfortunately I isn't grab the prettiest picture, but just the one I sent my husband- If these choices are any indication of the rest of the menu, whatever you get, you will NOT be disappointed! (Looking forward to hitting them back up during our next jaunt to the coast in a couple months!)
google avatar

Joshua S.

Yelp
Delicious burgers with an interesting selection of toppings. I like the Green Munster.
google avatar

Melissa W.

Yelp
Food was amazing as always! Decided I'd take my coworkers with me to order some takeout just in case we got to Lexie's and it was busy so we could take it back to the office to eat. Got over there and we must have just had our timing right because no lines no waiting. Decided we were going to take a seat and eat our yummy food however the lady behind the counter came out and told us because we ordered take out we needed to take our food to go. Told us there was a nice park near by to eat at. Honestly if there were no tables or there was a huge line waiting I could see asking us to take our food to go however when no one is there and I mean the entire restaurant was empty and you ask us to take our take out and leave it doesn't leave me with the idea of going back. We weren't unruly or fresh we just packed our things and left. I'm a huge fan of Lexie's usually but can't say I want to go back after that at least not to the Portsmouth location. Why would you ask paying customers to leave if no one was there. Perhaps you are looking to lose business. Peace, love, burgers we did not receive. Hope that others read this and think twice about ordering take out or if you do don't expect to eat your food right there.
google avatar

K. E.

Yelp
Globally top-tier burger. Period. Awesome fries and shakes, too. Extremely friendly and chill staff.
google avatar

Samantha K.

Yelp
Somehow I just had my first Lexie's experience the other day, despite being an Exeter native for years! We visited the Portsmouth location and it did not disappoint. I had the "ringer" burger and it was so awesome! Cooked just as I asked, and the sauces were excellent. The fries were super thin and crispy, which is my favorite. We also shared some onion rings that were equally delicious, and somehow it all traveled to Prescott Park really well, even despite the walk we had to do! The fries and onion rings were still crispy and awesome. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
Lexie's is great! They have lots of burger options. The patty itself is not the best I've had, but when paired with the toppings of their specialty burgers, the flavors are amazing. The customer service is great. The ambience inside the place is 50's retro. They still write their specials on chalkboards. You may have to wait for your order. Ours wasn't ready at the exoected time, but that's only because they were slammed with customers and the burgers and sides are well worth the wait. The team works very hard and is super friendly. As if all that weren't enough, the prices won't break the bank.
google avatar

Alexandra C.

Yelp
From the reviews I thought the burgers were going to be excellent. They weren't bad but they weren't too juicy or bursting with flavor. Fries were average. Service and prices were great!
google avatar

P'raka ..

Yelp
Everything about this place from the food to the service is perfect. It is small but count yourself lucky if you get to have a seat and interact with the wonderful staff here. They were so sweet with my kids! The food came out fast and Everything tasted great!
google avatar

Julia E.

Yelp
The best food ever. I would recommend the urban cowboy and bistro fries. The milkshakes are very good too. The food is made quickly and the staff is always very nice.
google avatar

renje g.

Yelp
- this is a hambuerger - very busy at 1pm on a friday - service could use some work - free water - clean bathrooms - delicious classic burger it was kind of messy
google avatar

Ji Hea K.

Yelp
Super cute. Some limited parking. Seating inside and outside available, as well as take away. Milk shakes are creamy and thick but not so thick they get stuck in the straw and you can't get a good mouthful. Fan favorite is an off-menu combo of the bistro and truffle fries. A little salt but more-ish, especially when combined with the milkshakes. Urban burger had meat done medium to medium well. Juicy meat, fluffy bun, saucy but not overly sweet or salty, crisp from the onion rings. A little off the nation downtown strip but well worth the jaunt.
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
Great food selection and flavors are delightful! Prices are reasonable and service is friendly and fast !

Amanda ..

Yelp
This was perfect for us. Our group ordered a burger, a hot dog onion rings and fish tacos. Everything was 5 stars. The cucumber mint lemonade was delightful. Place was clean, service was quick and super friendly. And they brought little chocolate chip cookie bites with the check. Oh and they had a limited amount of free parking! Highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Best, juiciest and most delicious burgers anywhere. I often "fly too close to the sun" here, because it all sounds so good. Take it from me, get the fried egg on your burger, for the perfect umami experience. The onion rings a delicately greasy, with a flaky, buttery coating. Light, tender, delicious. Drinks are good, service is terrific. I've been to all the Lexie's locations, but my personal favorite, is the Dover location. I go early, beat the rush and have room to spread out. The marina location, on the bay, in Newington, probably has the best view but, I tend to focus on my food. I mean, priorities, right?
google avatar

Corrine B.

Yelp
My husband & I stopped in here for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was busy but not slammed. We sat at the bar-style seating by the windows, and a smiling server was with us in a flash. It was our first time here, so I asked a couple questions, she asked a couple questions, and I ordered her suggestion: an Urban Cowboy Beanie. I love how thoughtful the server was: knowing I was ordering a bean burger but in a creation that included bacon, she asked "Are you okay with the bacon?" I appreciated that because although I did realize I was ordering it as-is with the bacon, there was room for miscommunication. She was making sure I was getting exactly it exactly as I wanted. I ordered the Truffle Fries as well, and my husband built his own burger (beef burger, bacon, American cheese, and crispy onions) with an order of Hot Fries and a vanilla shake. Our food arrived swiftly, and it was gorgeous. Like, beautifully displayed in paper trays. It was truly love at first sight. After taking a moment to appreciate how it all looked, we dug in. OH. YESSSSSS. My Urban Cowboy Beanie was the most delicious bean burger I have ever had. Period. All seriousness, folks. THE best. The flavor profile (bean burger, cheddar, bacon, avocado, crispy onions, BBQ sauce, and chimichurri) was complex and utterly scrumptious. Intoxicating. I cannot recall any time in my 49 years where I have eaten a better burger creation, ever. I turned to my husband and whispered, "I'm in love." He could only nod in agreement, deep as he was into his own burger experience. He was in love, too. We almost didn't want to try the fries. How could they compare? But ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, we needn't have worried that they wouldn't live up to the burgers--they were each awesome in their own right. Each had a complex layer of flavors that added up to perfection. We left Lexie's full and happy, walking on clouds that we found a little gustatory heaven in Portsmouth--a new favorite haunt. We returned on Sunday for lunch. Couldn't head back to Connecticut without another "try" just to "be sure." I ordered the exact same as Friday, while my husband tried another fries creation--Bistro Fries--with the same burger order. Another amazingly delicious meal. New. Favorite. Place. (Also, gotta mention the service is excellent here--really friendly, professional, fast. Love the vibe. Appreciate the cleanliness.)

Yelp
We were looking for a quick cheap place to eat after visiting York's Wild Kingdom. 20 mins South of there we found this place on Yelp. There's a small parking lot in front that you can park at but it only fits about 3 cars, so we ended up parking on the street. They have a small outdoor dining area with tables, chairs and umbrellas, and they have a small number of tables inside. I got the big mouth burger with the black bean patty, no bacon, with mushrooms and chipotle aoili instead of the herb one. My friend got the farmhouse burger with a medium rare beef patty. We also got onion rings and truffle parm fries to share. The food came out really fast (about 10 mins). The server was really nice, and the good was really hot and fresh. The onion rings were crispy and airy, and the truffle parm fries were really thin with melted parm on top. The truffle flavor was truffle from the black truffle salt. I wish we didn't get the sides because the burgers were very big and stacked, the buns could hardly hold the burger! I thought the fried pickles were a unique choice of topping on the burger and were really enjoyable. I could hardly fit the burger into my mouth from how big it was. This place is cheap, quick, and very satisfying. I highly recommend this place!
