Recently, I had a customer visit Lexington for a project close-out meeting. I wanted to take them to lunch and then take them to something in Lexington to showcase the city.
Well, Keeneland was a no-go. Buffalo Trace, Four Roses, Jim Beam, etc., were all too far for this customer.
Again, I wanted to show Lexington, not another city. I looked at West Sixth Brewing, but they were only open Friday and Saturday.
So, I selected the Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company.
Since the customer is a German company, I suspected they had an excellent palate for bourbon and beer. That gamble paid off, and the customer was completely blown away.
Here is a company that is not only on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail but also makes beer; most Germans love beer. Win-Win.
Our guide was thorough in his history of Lexington, the Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company, and the making of bourbon and beer.
Plus, since I had management with me, it gave them another solid option for other customers visiting Lexington.
On a side note, several of our team made purchases in their gift shop: hats, shirts, and of course, beer and bourbon.
Thank you so much, Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company.
