L'Gros Luxe Vieux-Longueuil

Great spot for a casual bite with consistently good food and quick, attentive service. The Salade Asiatique is fresh and flavorful, perfect if you're craving something light. Fish n Chips hit the mark—crispy batter, tender fish. The Mac Classique is comfort food done right, while the GC Philly Steak packs bold flavor in every bite. The Burg. Classique rounds it out with solid execution and satisfying taste. A reliable go-to in Vieux-Longueuil for tasty eats and no-fuss dining.

Okay. Where to start. I hadn't been to gros luxe in about 8 years because I was traveling alot. I remembered loving this place ( in the miles-end ) This Vieux Longueuil location is nice, atmosphere wise. Going to the restroom slightly feels like a A24 horror indie film maze, lol. Waitress was super nice. Took a bit long to ask what we wanted to eat & for the bill but that's not an issue. Food was served quickly after. The mocktail aloha she recommended was so good. I had 2. And the pineapple one as well. Gyoza: good! Lovely taste and texture. Just very small portion. (3 gyozas only ) Cauliflower wings: so disappointing. The sauce that comes on the side made me feel nauseous a little bit. They just didnt look or taste how I would expect cauliflower wings to taste.... underwhelming. The beet salad. Taste good. But the presentation is disappointing perso. I didn't even realize that the ricotta was in the " balls " until mid salad. Lol. But thankfully it did taste good. Would have loved smaller cubes for the beets and more granny apples. The walnuts were great. It was a nice experience but I wouldn't go back.

Seemed fairly busy for Wednesdayevening 7pm. Good sign. Waitressesvery attentive, frequently visiting us for orders drinks and food. Drinks were quick. Asked us upon food order if we wanted all together or at different times. Food took 20 minutes which we felt was fast. All dishes tasted good, portions were large enough and were what was represented on menu. Mocktails were also great. We ordered vegan chicken poutine, fried pickles, beet and goat cheese salad, veggie chicken tacos, aloha and placebo mocktails. Couldn'tfinish everything. Waitress shift ended before we finished eating and she made sure we were aware. I definitely recommend food and service.

Very welcoming and friendly. They endured my attempts to speak French but also switched to English. The beet salad would be better plated as the beets are hiding at the bottom of the bowl. The basement washrooms are an adventure in themselves. Would love to hear more Quebecois music at restaurants in general.

Great service. The restaurant was accommodating and facilitated the navigation throughout the facilities with my grandmother who has limited mobility. The staff was kind, helped us with her walker and gave us a table with a lot of space to ensure her security. They really helped us make her birthday into a special occasion.

The waiter was snobby and rude. They served my bread unbuttered. I’ve never been to a restaurant where they serve breakfast and don’t butter the bread so I simply asked if they could send me buttered bread and they return with the smallest piece of bread to Slight me. The food was OK and the ambience as far as decor, was really good but the attitude of the waiter kind of put a stink in the air. Definitely not coming back for brunch again

Our waitress and hostess were both so nice! I rarely make bad reviews, and maybe we were there on a bad night...but our food was simply...not good? Undercooked calamari, cold burger (which the waitress was quick to fix for me), mushy 'crispy' chicken burger -- just strangely off-tasting food, lacking flavour/freshness. I'm not sure I'll come back, but again, maybe just a bad night or something wrong with the fryer. I hate writing bad reviews, but it had to be done - giving 3 stars and not 2 simply because the service was great.

Love the decor and mood and the Food was very tasty especially my mushroom burger which I demolished before I got a chance to take a picture. My only complaint was that the drink took sooo long to arrive (but it was delicious and it was a very busy Friday night)

Wow and wow! Great location, in downtown old longueil, with great window seatings, charming hispter decor, great service, and superbly delicious foods! Just look at those pics if you don't believe me. Everything as a little hipster vibe and twist. That Caesar drink was unique in taste and yet still get what you would expect. Those onion rings were just perfect. Our main course was the deluxe burger and fish and chips -- with a salad sub for the wife. Everything was delish. That burger was a mile high and required major compression on my part in order to make it fit, so I can devour it. The fish and chips had a unique breading and taste so fresh and delicious! They did not skip on the fish either :) What a treat! Will surely come here again and would highly recommend.

I very much enjoyed my afternoon here. It being St Patrick's Day, the restaurant was pretty full, luckily I had a reservation and got a table by the window. This is a very nicely decorated place, great vibe. The waiter arrived quickly to take the drink orders, $3 mimosas, yes please!! Drinks took quite a while to come out though. When they did, we were not disappointed, for $3 we got far more than our money's worth. I had the deluxe breakfast, and everything was great. We ordered extra toast and didn't get it, however. We weren't charged for it though. 2nd round of drinks took just as long as the first. Aside from a missed order and lengthy wait times for drinks, I was very happy with L'Gros Luxe. I'll come again, but sit at the bar ;-)

Situated in the old Longueuil, L'Gros luxe is one of my go to restaurant. This was during summer time, this L'Gros luxe has a very nice terrasse which I wasn't expecting since we were in the Old Longueuil. I took the fried chicken as entrée. Salt and pepper; simple but delicious. I had their beet grilled cheese as the main dish. It was delicious. You can't go wrong with a good grilled cheese. My girlfriend had their vegan poutine. It wasn't the best. Again, me personally I find it hard to duplicate real cheese so I didn't really like it. But it's pretty awesome that they have vegan options. Overall great restaurant to try for every taste buds. Fun fact: they have special "meal" cocktails wheee they put a grilled cheese, etc., on top of your drinks.

I was very disapointed, after ordering the Deluxe Veggie Burger, they sent me a burger with beef and bacon!!! Over the top, I'm allergic to pork, so the burger is useless, can only put it into the trash... I decide to call them and they were unable to send my burger, they were asking me to order again, to hive me a second burger in the 2nd order! WTF! The first burger is of no use for me, so to get my burger I need to order 2 veggie burgers, to maybe get the right burger... tonight I won't have anything for supper and I will never order there again ever.

We came here for brunch hoping to find something good. Really disappointed with the quality. I had the grilled cheese (bread, cheeses, bacon, egg, tomato and lettuce) and it left a lot to be desired. The bread was toasted and I assume put through a salamander to melt the cheese. The bread was hard and not browned. (definitely not grilled on a flattop with butter). The bacon was fatty and undercooked (the fat was not rendered at all) It was served with potatoes and they were really good. My husband had a regular breakfast with eggs sausages and toast. His toast was also pale and hard but at least his Caesar was passable, although the huge rim of spicy seasoning was a little overwhelming. The potatoes and 3$ mimosa are the only reason this place is getting 3 stars.

If you're looking for a place with great vibe and decor, and has a great menu.. this is it! I've been here twice now and still love it! Once at night and this time it eas for brunch. Great size meal and flavoful! Love it!

Great vegan and veggie options on the south shore. The prices are fair and the decor is cool. The service could be a little more attentive, the servers are nice, but empty water isn't filled automatically, you have to ask--same with beer and soda oddly enough; it's is usually easy to pad a bill with refills especially when the weather is nice and clients are outside in the terrasse. The music inside can be a little too loud for conversation, but the portions are perfect sized and the dishes are flavourful. It's hipster vibe seems a bit out of place in Vieux Longueuil, but based on its crowded atmosphere, it's appreciated. NOTE: bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. They're in the basement.

First visit to this larger location. It was busy but not packed. We waited almost an hour for our food. When we inquired it was due to a group. Still, service was terrible. When you make people wait this long you should offer a complimentary drink. When the food finally arrived it wasn't hot. So it seemed like it might have been ready a while ago. It's hard to judge food when the temperature isn't right. Overall it wasn't anything special. Daughter who had the deluxe burger said it was good. Everyone else wasn't impressed with what they had. We didn't bring it up cause we didn't want to wait for new meals again given we were starving. Don't think I'll be back. It's a shame.

We just end here not knowing what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised by the food quality, the good ambiance and the quick service. Despite the fact the it's fast food the presentation is nice and the spices delicious. Nous sommes entrés dans le restaurant par hasard, et nous avons été surpris par la qualité de la nourriture et la bonne ambiance ainsi que le service rapide !! Bien que c'est du fast-food la présentation est bien et les épices délicieuses.

First restaurant in Montreal and I was impressed! Many vegan options and the service was quick. Decor was beautiful - it was a great way to spend a Saturday evening. Highly recommend the vegan poutine!

Not impressive food and service. The vegan grilled cheese costed me like 10 dollars and it just look too sad. The bread is tougher then stone. The waitress was not attentive and did not present profession.

This L'Grox Luxe just didn't do it for me. The ones in Montreal just outshine the one in Vieux-Longueuil. My first impression when this place initially opened is that the quality wasn't right. I don't remember much from my meal because the quality was absent. I do remember something though. That fish taco was almost inedible. The fish nugget pebble only tasted like fried batter. The tortilla felt like stale playdough. You know when you leave playdough outside the container and it dries but it's not completely and it cracks when try to fold it? Yeah, I'm sticking to Montreal.

This was horrible on every level. My son and I went on a weekday evening and we were not impressed. Before I give my review, I want to say that my son and I both work and worked in the food industry. He as a server and bartender and I as I Chef and Pastry Chef with 20+ years experience. We were hungry and wanted to like this place. I do want to say that the original waiter who served us at the exterior was very polite and kind. That was the best part of the night. We were seated and then things switched, our new waitress was horrid, did not come and bring us water or menus, we had to ask after 10 minutes of waiting-no they were not busy, when we finally got service she did not know or care to elaborate on the dishes, didn't care about my gluten allergies, and forgot our drinks order so we had to ask another waiter. When he confronted her on it she shrugged her shoulders and went off in another direction, not giving a rats ass. The food (entrees) took way too long for what we ordered on a very quiet night, and it was so sub-par and bland, I could not believe how much hot sauce I had to request, (2 different bottles) just to try and add something to the wings we ordered. The fries were room temperature, we had to request condiments, my son ordered tacos that were so tasteless, he could not believe one could *#ck up tacos so badly. There was no love in the food or the drinks. I ordered a mojito and it tasted like limes with acrid horror and nothing else. It was bitter and just sadness wrapped in disappointment. When our waitress deigned to grace us with her presence, long after we were done, she asked at the end of our meal upon billing (and tipping expectations,)'was everything alright?' To which we replied no. She went to get the payment machine and ignored us with a flip of her blonde ponytail. Then had the audacity to be annoyed when she received zero tip. If you work in the industry, you always leave a tip. That tells you how bad all of it was and to add insult to injury, the cost for this crap was outrageous. We were still hungry after we left and had to go home to make food at 9:30pm. The worst, save your money and go take your hard earned dollars to a place that cares about its customers.

Heard really good reviews about this place... But I had have been waiting for more than hour for a plate of pasta... More than disappointing.

Love the food. They have vegan alternatives and all. But have stopped going there because the service is WAY too slow. I think they do it on purpose, I've had the same issue with all the restaurant chains. Bad business model.

I had the pulled pork tacos, that was great with lime and hot sauce! The taco shells were not to soft. However, the Caesar was a let down. I was expecting better. Also, they need to fix the basement.

Nothing like being starving, crossing a bridge and being told a restaurant is closing 45 mins early without warning! Disaster.

Average location, I liked the nachos. My fish tacos came out lukewarm and my salad was like something I could whip up at home. Though the food quality is above average and you get what you pay for.

I always wanted to try L'Gros Luxe and went with my wife on a Saturday evening. We showed up at 22h15 knowing that it closed at Midnight. Restaurant looked good and was lively with music playing. The main room only seemed to be 20% full so we thought we would have a nice dinner. There were 3 or 4 staff behind the bar plus others moving around in the restaurant. They clearly saw us waiting to be seated... and ignored us. After 10 minutes standing there we decided to leave. I can understand having to wait when a place is busy, or you are missing staff but this clearly did not seem to be the case.
