"This new kiosk in the Durant outdoor food court brings mulitas, super tacos, handmade tortillas, and, yes, an appropriately meat, cheesy version of quesabirria. Come on Tuesdays when the birria tacos are marked down to just $2.50 apiece." - Luke Tsai

Google
In no way were either of the two tacos that I ordered anything like the pictures and they we're both missing ingredients that were advertised. For example, the Al Pastor wasn't even Al Pastor and it was supposed to have pineapple in it and it did not. The Korean fusion did not have kimchi in it and it instead just had a bunch of cheese slapped on top of some meat and rice like it was a deconstructed burrito. I found that they literally grabbed the images directly off the Google images results page. I bet this place goes out of business within the next year.

Google
This is a small Mexican Asian fusion joint primarily for college students near Berkeley. Walk up counter ordering in an outdoor food mall type setting. At least 8 eateries in the corridor with picnic benches for communal seating down the middle. Ordered a chicken burrito, not very good, not terribly bad. Staff/cook on-site was very nice.

Google
Food was great! Their menu has a large selection of items and the portions are very generous. Best of all, their staff was very friendly and even offered free drinks and french fries. Highly recommend!

Google
My fav late night spot. The Camarones burrito is so good and I tried the birria noodles with beef 🤤 best thing is this place closes at 2am. Definitely recommend

Google
Where do I begin? The owners are phenomenal! So kind and go above and beyond. Amy, in particular, is a sweetheart and did not hesitate to assist me with even the smallest favor. The food was delicious (I ordered the al pastor burrito and al pastor tacos ). The red sauce was a little spicier than I wanted, but thats not a bad thing as I prefer green sauce and theirs is sooo good!! I 100% recommend if you are in the area. They are also open pretty late, which is another amazing thing about this perfect little fusion restaurant. 10/10 for the food, service and overall experience.

Google
Ordered fish tempura taco and beef birria taco at L’gusto, their best sellers, both are sooooooo good! Staff here are really friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend trying their beef birria taco, fusion style taco and burrito, the only restaurant offering these creative stuff in Bay Area. Will definitely come back for more!

Google
Just ordered two tacos...monsters...they gave me three. Saw them preparing the biggest burrito I've ever seen. This place is off the hook. Super cool folks

Google
Person at the front was very nice and had a very welcoming energy to them. They also were very generous with their portions and get a lot of extra food.^^

Yelp
this review is strictly for the breakfast burrito. i ate the whole thing. i saw him make the eggs fresh. the fries were good. love the chipotle sauce. kind of pricy but then again the burrito was HUGE.

Daniel J.

Yelp
seriously just bland. $15.80 for such a bad burrito i took 3 bites and just went to buy something else, wasn't even worth eating. no complimentary chips n salsa like la burrita across the street btw! + wrong sauces than what i ordered + big cheese lumps throughout my burrito. wheres the integration if u decide to go here, remember this review bc i did what? told u so

Yelp
DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This is the second time I've had a frustrating experience with this restaurant. I placed a pickup order on the app they are partnered with (Snackpass) yesterday because the store was listed as open. However, when I arrived, the store was closed. Okay, no problem. But today, I went back to request a refund, and the two male employees working there were extremely rude. They insisted that I contact the app's support team, but I had already done that, and Snackpass told me to contact the store. They refused to give me a refund, claiming it was the app's fault, not theirs. Their behavior was shockingly unprofessional. They talked to me in a very loud aggressive, rude tone to the point where it felt like they were yelling at me. One of them just stayed completely quiet and stood there, squinting and staring at me, which made me feel very uncomfortable. The other employee kept interrupting me and dismissing my concerns, making me feel disrespected and unwelcome. Keep in mind, I am a young college-aged woman by myself. I read the other reviews and it seems that many others have also had a similar experience. This is in stark contrast to my experience last week when the female employee there (Amy) handled the exact same situation professionally. She apologized for their mistake and gave me a full refund, my order, and even a free drink for the inconvenience. It's clear they can process refunds through the Snackpass platform, so I don't understand why the two male employees rudely refused. It's disappointing to see such inconsistent service and blatant unprofessionalism. Based on this experience, I won't be returning.

Yelp
I was craving Mexican and my go-to spot, La Burrita across the street, was closed. This spot has been hyped up by some of my friends, so I went for it, especially since I didn't really have any other late night options. Came in around 1am and they had my order finished already: California burrito with K-BBQ and guac. I ordered on Snackpass and it was done in about 10 minutes. The burrito was very underwhelming and I got bored eating it. There was a ton of rice (this is the first time that I've had a "California" burrito with rice in it...). Initially, it was maybe about 40% of the filling, but as I got down to the other end, they obviously had spread the toppings unevenly as it was just full on rice and nothing else. The spicy salsa had a lot of kick though, to my surprise. The meat was also pretty sparse, since I swear there were about 3 total strips and that was it, although the seasoning was good.

Yelp
I came here with my siblings at around 11pm. There were only two workers and they seemed to be busy with the multiple orders being placed. I ordered the nacho supreme which definitely hit the spot after a long night out. The servings/portions of food were very generous for the price, but there was nothing too special in terms of flavor. Would recommend this place to anyone who is craving Mexican food, but be aware that the service may be slow due to there only being two workers.

Juanna F.

Yelp
Went here late after a concert with my brothers. They got a burrito - one with birria and one California burrito with Al pastor. I split nachos supreme with carne asada. My brothers inhaled their burritos. I tried them and they were good. We waited maybe 15-20 mins for our order because they had a lot of call in orders and we ordered right when we got there on the kiosk. We watched them prepare our order - only two workers and they were really busy preparing food nonstop. They fried their own tortilla chips and loaded the nachos generously. The nachos were very tasty and plentiful to share. The burritos were also huge and stuffed. I liked how they grilled the meat and cheese on the grill and the burrito at the end to add a nice crunchy texture.

Yelp
Had a late night and was exploring grubhub for some options. This place was rated well so my boyfriend and I gave it a try. It was disappointing to say the least. I got a Birria burrito and he got Birria Noodles. The burrito barely had meat in it, and the noodles had no consommé. And to mention, my burrito didn't even come with consommé to dip in, which I saw others mentioning the had consommé that it came with!! Both items were soggy and just, sad I guess. Both lacked flavor and we weren't satisfied after eating. Also when we walked in we weren't helped at all. I tried getting the attention of the staff to see if our order was ready, they'd look at me, and just move on. It was just... weird. Anyways, disappointing experience and flavor. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, who knows. It would probably be better if we ate in person I guess but we won't know because we won't go back.

Christian G.

Yelp
Hit up this spot on a whim and man, was I blown away! The tacos are legit - fresh, flavorful, and just plain delish. Got the carne asada and it did not disappoint. The staff? Super chill and friendly, like your buddy who always knows what you wanna order. If you're in for a good time and great eats, this place is it. Def coming back for more! 5 stars!

Kelsea B.

Yelp
I ate here today and the staff was very kind and friendly, but unfortunately there was a large bug in my food. Another reviewer has said the same thing so it must be an ongoing problem. The food was very mediocre at best even before I found the bug. I posted a photo for reference. Be cautious when eating here.

Kelly M.

Yelp
You order from a kiosk, no seating inside. The person working there was kind and made the tacos well but the recipes and the food is terrible. I ordered 3 different tacos. Two tacos were covered in some weird melted white cheese. The chicken teriyaki did not taste like chicken. And covered in cheese was strange. It didn't look like the photo. The fish in the fish taco was fried well but tasted kind of old, was again covered in gross melted cheese. Snd the al pastor taco looked like ground beef and had no flavor. The salsa tasted spoiled. I couldn't eat any of them. Beware.

Chloe E.

Yelp
The food is good but the birra burrito is NOT birra. I don't know what they consider birria but it tastes nothing like birra. Not to mention the soup tastes very different. The food is still good but the false advertising was kinda weird. My boyfriend said the same thing about their al pastor burrito.

Jeanette L.

Yelp
Walked in wasn't greeted, I had a problem with the kiosk and the attendant yelled at me that it didn't go through and I asked for help he was upset. I got a text that my food was ready and it wasn't, I was the only and first customer in the queue. The restaurant has dirty floors. Overall experience was bad and the birria is so bad. Like actually so bad.

Andrew O.

Yelp
Awesome authentic cooked food. The flavors are great and I love the different varieties of options. Not many restaurants like this around. Can't wait to come here again and try another item. Highly recommend.

Christy H.

Yelp
I ordered a carne asada taco from this restaurant. very bussin, yum. great late night cravings food. would highly recommend!

X 2.

Yelp
I got the bbq beef rice bowl and I couldn't of ask for anything better!!! Fresh and delicious but most of all affordable and the best service ever!! I shared the bowl with my hubby and toodler and we were all full and happy!

James G.

Yelp
It looks like a hole in the wall, but don't be fooled -- the food was excellent. We were hungry mid-morning and walked in because the door was open. Even though they weren't actually open yet, the owner was very kind and told us what would be ready soon and what would take longer. She came outside to bring us our food when it was ready and was very thoughtful in telling us about the food and making sure everything was as we wanted, from the spiciness of the salsa to exactly how much cilantro we preferred. I had the birria tacos, which were incredible. The tortillas were perfectly crisped, the beef was tender and juicy, the broth was rich. Best birra tacos I've eaten, and this wasn't my first birra rodeo. The portions were large, but I ate every bite.

Richard S.

Yelp
I ordered a pollo asada burrito (it was huge!)- in short it was excellent! The owners were really sweet and talkative and the atmosphere was laid back. A lot of the food is actually homemade which is nice, toppings were fresh as well. Definitely would come back as it's so close to campus and relatively affordable. Thanks again, I'll definitely return.

J P.

Yelp
Was looking for some grub on Thanksgiving Day and my options near campus were either L'Gusto, IB Hoagies or Cheng Du, and I went with L'Gusto, and I'm glad I did. Upon entering the worker is super friendly and greets you right away (I think the two working today might have been the owners: older folks manning all the stations tonight and cooking everything). It was a breeze putting in my order myself at one of their self-service kiosks near the entrance. If you're paying by cash, just tell the person at the counter and they will ring you up manually. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small, with only about three seats, so on busier days it will be cramped and hard for people to move around (Suggestion to owners: Maybe move one of the kiosks outside near the entrance, like some small restaurants with kiosks do, which will give more room for customers to walk in and out of the entrance while other customers are placing orders at the kiosk). I ordered the Cal Breakfast Burrito which was made pretty quickly and was HUGE. I was not expecting it to be as big as it was (bigger than the "Super"/large size I usually get at Gordo's but probably similar or slightly bigger than a large size burrito at Chipotle and more affordable than either), so the price is super reasonable for the portion you're getting. When I got home it was still warm. The burrito was great (egg was very tasty and hit the spot) and was very filling, I could only finish half though before I was WAY too full, so I had leftovers for tomorrow. The only downside I saw with L'Gusto is the small space (but most of the restaurants here are similarly small too), and there are plenty of seats in the Asian Ghetto's patio area if you're looking to stay and eat. I will definitely be back to try more of their burritos and tacos! Honestly surprised by it's three-star rating because the food is great, it's one of the few Asian and Latin fusion restaurants I have seen in the area (a much more common food concept on the east coast), the staff is friendly and the hours are great. It's pretty cool that Berkeley now has an Asian-Latin fusion burrito spot so close to campus. And, again, was so thankful this place was one of the few places open on Thanksgiving.

Abby F.

Yelp
I understand the one worker there is under a lot of stress creating everything on his own but there's no need to take it out on the customer. We chose this establishment because we thought it would be good when we could've chose so many other places in this plaza. Did not like his attitude and petty comments when also trying to figure out how to order and pay through the screen.

Litzy D.

Yelp
Employees were decently professional. Food sucked burrito was mid sour cream tasted water-down and made my burrito soggy also had lettuce? 8.00$ For 2 little containers of guacamole and a small bag of chips. Agua de horchata was ass, wasnt made right or was expired. If your Mexican this spot is a joke. I don't recommend going here

LeQuan W.

Yelp
I'm sad to leave a bad review but the food just isn't good. I ordered an Al Pastor burrito and I have to admit that it is large however the flavor is really bad. Funky taste to it (couldn't tell if it was the seasoning or if it was not fresh; maybe both). Also not spicy at all which is sad because al pastor is literally spicy pork. I have had lots of pastor in my life so I understand everyone makes it different however this was just plain bad. And I'm eating this after being hungover all day so theoretically anything should taste good right now. Please figure out your recipes I beg of you.

Gabby E.

Yelp
Food is usually good and well made with gloves buttttt this time nobody was wearing gloves. Grabbed everything with raw hands, cooked my mushrooms and rubbed the tortillas over the same oil/area they just cooked the chicken without scraping/wiping which as a vegetarian is a straight cringe and kept using the same tools for the meat and vegetables which completely turned me off because little traces of the meat got stuck on the spatula that mixed my mushrooms for my mushroom taco... which I got because I don't eat animals meaning I don't want traces of it mixed in my food. The orange hot sauce is good tho.

Ken T.

Yelp
Great service and super friendly cashier. Food was amazing! Ordered three tacos and loved every one of them.

Matt F.

Yelp
I ordered the Birria tacos, but they don't include sauce for dipping. I returned to inquire and they don't actually provide sauce it turns out. What kind of birria tacos don't come with the dipping sauce...?!

Andrew T.

Yelp
This food isn't even mid, it's straight bad. It's so bad, I redownloaded Yelp just to give it one star and warn you about it. I would literally rather have spent my money at La Burrita and that place is mid as sh**! If you want a fusion burrito, go to Mad Seoul. If you want a burrito at Asian Ghetto, go to the Taco Bell across the street. If you think that L'Gusto's is tasty, I'll save you twelve dollars by recommending the puddles in front of the store instead. It's free.

Julianna R.

Yelp
service was extremely polite and nice however the food isn't good :/ i have gone on two separate occasions and have tried their tacos and burritos. They just aren't good and the price isn't worth the disappointment.

Macey F.

Yelp
I order from here late night and it always hits. The food always arrives ahead of time. And is just as good from one time to the next.

Vincent L.

Yelp
Customer service was very nice, I ordered the carne asada burrito and it tasted pretty good!

Safiullah H.

Yelp
awesome food, very quick service, and kind staff. get the beef bulgogi burrito, it's delicious! outdoor seating only

Lk L.

Yelp
It is one of largest burrito I had recently with the best combination meat flavor and fresh veggies/fries. The special asian marinade recipe is definitely a plus to Mexican burrito, and recommended to all burrito lovers to definitely give a try. Decent price, both high quality and quantity of beef/chicken would serve you well as lunch or dinner for a fast-paced day. Delicious! In deed, it is highly recommended to go for California burrito for the first time in this restaurant. The ability to order online and fast service strategy made me enjoy my hot and fresh grilled burrito, I really appreciate it!

Jasmine M.

Yelp
The male employee was rude as hell. Spoke to me in a condescending voice and shook his head at me because I asked for a side of cheese (which is an add on) said "do you see it on the menu?" In an extremely mocking tone, followed by a "tchhh". Then proceeded to continue to speak rudely as I walked out. Would take away tip if I could. Would never go back.

Julia Y.

Yelp
I tried the Beef Birria Taco, the Al Pastor and Carne Asada Taco a few months ago, honestly because it was one of the only places open at the time. Outrageously expensive for the poor food quality. Today I had the Birria Burrito, as my first order on Snackpass was 30% off and I wanted to give the place another chance. There was literally a bug in my birria sauce and the burrito alone was terrible. Will never come back

Austin L.

Yelp
The California burrito is so good! Good and price and great portion! Can't wait to try the other stuff!

Giselle S.

Yelp
food was good because i was feeling home sick and it satisfied my cravings. i got the al pastor burrito the meat was good but needed a little salt . the owner gave us free drinks because a trainee forgot to add salsa to my burrito. the horchata was really well made and creamy, straight from mexico. the beans also good. the place was sanitized and seemed clean. over all 7/10.

Aceeyah S.

Yelp
food was pretty flavorless tbh. service was fast but other than that i was really disappointed w the flavor.

Jose G.

Yelp
Honestly idk what they talking about but my the Korean bbq tacos where so good the meat had good flavor and was so soft. As soon as I walked in Jennifer was so nice very welcoming I will for sure be going back again.

Nancy S.

Yelp
The burritos are not good at all. My bf got the teriyaki burrito and I got the veggie one with mushrooms. Both were very disappointing. The chicken did not have any flavor. It was not even meat, most of it was just fat and cartilage. The rice barely had any flavor. The pico in the burrito was okay. Overall, very much a school lunch type of burrito.

Devang P.

Yelp
Great food and amazing service. They were extremely nice and all of the ingredients were fresh and in good quantity.

Diego H.

Yelp
remarkably bad. this food was so disappointing that it made me actually sit down and think about what life decisions led me to the moment i took the first bite out of these tacos. below mid.

Brenna S.

Yelp
super mid. there is no seasoning on any of the meat and the rice is cooked super poorly.
