Best Restaurants and Bars in Collingswood, New Jersey, Near Philly | Eater Philly

"After Tony and Patricia Massoud’s Porch and Proper was forced to close when the pandemic hit, they revitalized their establishment as something new. Now serving the Lebanese cuisine of the Massoud heritage, Li Beirut is a fine addition to the evolving Collingswood food scene. The best way to go is with A Taste of Lebanon for $55 per person. The tasting menu lets diners try an array of meze along with a choice of salad, an entree, and dessert — the Ghazal Beirut, featuring halva cotton candy and ashta ice cream, is a crowd favorite. Reservations are recommended." - Ernest Owens

Google
A restaurant like no other. This was our first time here and definitely wont be our last. The food was immaculate, we could taste every spice and how fresh it all was. We felt so taken care of. The owner was non stop making sure everyone there was enjoying their experience. He even brought us things to try that were not a part of our menu. The meat was cooked to perfection and don’t even get me started on the dessert. One had ice cream infused with cotton candy and with every bite we took we kept wanting more and more. We met the chef (who is the owners wife) and she was so kind to us. You can tell how hardworking this family is, and we were so happy to support their restaurant. This place has the rating it deserves. Cant wait to be back! Love, Michelle and Olivia.

Google
Highly anticipated reservation at Li Beirut based off the ratings and reviews online….. everything about this place was great. Went on a Friday & was able to experience the tasting menu for two. Tony is present on the floor to explain the menu and all employees are kind and attentive. The tasting menu fantastic & very good if you don’t know where to start. The food itself is amazing and chef Patricia really brings it home. I was stuffed by the main course. But then there was dessert 😍 and the Lebanese coffee. I can’t wait to go back and try more. A very cozy atmosphere. With outdoor seating for summer. Vegetarian options available. Definitely make a nut allergy known beforehand as middle eastern cuisine does incorporate an array of nuts. It really exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to visit again. $55 per person tasting menu can’t be beat.

Li Beirut is an absolute gem. The food is exceptionally authentic, every dish tastes like it was made with genuine care and tradition. The portions are generous, the flavors are vibrant, and the quality is consistently excellent. Whether you’re ordering classics like hummus, fattoush, or mixed grill, or trying one of their house specialties, you can feel the heart of Lebanese cooking in every bite. What truly sets Li Beirut apart is the owner. Their hospitality is unmatched; warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure every guest has a memorable experience. It’s rare to find a place where the atmosphere feels this personal and inviting. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Lebanese cuisine served with generosity and true hospitality, Li Beirut is the place to go. Highly recommended!

I’ve been coming to this Lebanese restaurant for a few months now, and it’s easily become one of my favorite spots. The owner’s hospitality is unmatched — he treats everyone like family and makes you feel right at home every time you walk in. The atmosphere is beautiful, cozy, and full of good energy, and the food… absolutely excellent. Every dish I’ve tried has been packed with flavor and perfectly cooked, you can really taste the authenticity and care in every bite. Plus, it’s BYOB, which makes it the perfect spot for a relaxed night out with friends or family. If you’re looking for amazing Lebanese ( Mediterranean) food and genuine hospitality, this is the place.

Google
Had a girls night and did the tasting menu at Li Beirut! (sorry the included entree isnt pictured) The freshness and taste was unmatched! Lovely staff and the environment was so cute! My favorite thing was the fact they left us alone… to catch up and not feel rushed. Great experience, even better food! I can’t wait to go back!

Google
One of the most delicious middle eastern restaurants I’ve been to! The mezze sampler was so so good. They do have kunafa if you order it, although it was not on the menu. The cotton candy ice cream was amazing and not too sweet. For those who love falafel, it’s a must! Perfect crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Can’t wait to go back to this amazing restaurant.

Google
Had a great dinner last night! My group of three opted for the à la carte menu and had a great experience. But I already know I want to come back for the tasting menu! We had six of the cold mezza and tried the fig halloumi. Everything was great. Also, originally we were only going to order three of the mezza but the server could tell we couldn’t decide which three to go with so he brought us six smaller portions so we could try them all! Our server, who seemed to be the owner or manager, brought us warm pita every time we ran out without us having to ask once. For entrées, we split the mixed grill for one (an amazing plate) and the chicken shawarma (I’m glad we tried it, but it wasn’t anything super special). The lamb chop was a standout entrée. I’d also recommend not skipping dessert here. Overall, a great experience and I’m looking forward to going back!

Yelp
Food is fabulous! Owner is charming. Waitstaff is terrific. If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular.

Yelp
Every good review written here is absolutely spot on! 6 of us enjoyed every single thing about Li Beirut. Chef Patricia's food is outstanding. Her husband Tony is charming and truly makes you feel at home. Perfect night!

Yelp
We found the sweetest spot in Collingswood. Every part of the experience was awesome. The space is really inviting and warm and the staff was as well. We got the tasting menu, which for $55 was a steal. First course is a hummus, red pepper and walnut, eggplant and yogurt. My husband and I couldn't decide which one was our favorite. For an entree, I had the mixed grill and my husband had the chicken. It was a generous portion of food and all delicious. My favorite was the lamb. For dessert, baklava and ice with shredded halva. I've never had shredded halva before. It was awesome and I think the best part of the desserts were that they weren't too sweet. We will definitely be back again and will bring our family when they come in town. High recommend this place.

Yelp
This place is such a gem and an amazing getaway! I stumbled upon this elegant, upscale, Lebanese restaurant and am so glad I did. The owner is welcoming and takes great pride in his restaurants appearance, delicious courses. Our first course featured so many dips and salads with homemade pita. This was complimentary with our entrees - we also were delighted with our entrees and yummy rose water ice-cream. If you are looking for an elegant fun getaway for a date night, I strongly recommend this place.

Yelp
WOW!!! What an incredible dining experience! With family new to the area they wanted to treat us to dinner at Li Beirut. My spouse and I had never had Lebanese cuisine before and were so interested to try. We arrived for our reservation and they gave us the choice of indoor or outside porch dining. We opted for the porch and it was lovely! Collingswood is dry, so bring your own wine, they will keep it chilled for you. We had the tasting dinner for 4, the portions were generous . Starting with Fattoush, Monk Salad, Hummus, Baba Ghannouj, Labne, Mouhamara, Chankleesh, Warak Enab, Lebanese Moussaka, Soujouk , and Batata Harra. Each dish was identified as it was placed on the table and served with pita. The flavor combinations were marvelous, each dish was a culinary treat. In addition to above we also were given a list of entrees to choose from, we settled on Arnabeet, Falafel, Grilled Lamb Chops and Shawarma Chicken. I appreciate that there were so many delicious vegan options. Dessert was Baklava pistachio. At the end of the evening we brought home enough for lunch. The waitstaff were so friendly and attentive. They add so much to the evening, making you feel very welcome. The entire evening was a PHENOMENAL dining experience and we will most certainly return again when visiting!

Yelp
Easy 5 star review. Don't even have to think twice about it. My girlfriend and I came here for the first time on a Friday night and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We will be raving about this place for quite some time, I'm sure. We had a reservation for 7:15 and were given our choice of tables when we arrived. We had the choice of the large, airy and sunny front room, or the darker, smaller and more intimate back room. We chose the latter. We both ordered the taste of Lebanon for $55 per person which was phenomenal. It's a lot of money but worth every penny. First, the portions. Have you ever run an ultramarathon and worked up such an appetite that you gorged yourself afterwards? Have you ever been lost in the woods for weeks, on the brink of starvation, then brought to an all-you-can-eat buffet when the ordeal was over? Have you ever gone toe to toe with Joey Chestnut in a hotdog eating competition? None of those scenarios will come close to the amount of food you get at Li Beirut. We were stuffed by the end and practically needed a forklift to get us out of the building. Second, the taste. The amount of flavors and textures on our table throughout the meal was otherworldly, each one rich and decadent and perfectly prepared. I can't remember the last time I ate so well. Third, the overall atmosphere. Such a beautifully decorated space. Attentive and friendly staff. We never felt rushed and I'm sure we could have sat there all night talking and finishing our wine had we not finally asked for the check. Phenomenal restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
As soon as you walk into Li Beirut you will immediately be transported to another world. The smells from all the spices is absolutely intoxicating. The owner and staff are incredibly hospitable, friendly and helpful. (Someone mentioned the refilling of the water...and my date and I still laugh about that...they definitely DO NOT want anyone to go thirsty there lol) Speaking of, it is a byob. Bring a bottle or two of your favorite wine and I highly recommend getting the tasting menu if it's your first time (A Taste of Lebanon $55/pp). This way you really get to treat your tastebuds to a full sampling of the amazing kitchen specialties. Cozy, warm, inviting ambiance + delicious food...can't really go wrong.

Yelp
When you walk into Li Beirut it's like walking into your grandparents house. You feel an instant warmth and welcoming feeling and the aroma of their food tickles your taste buds. In order to eat here, you have to make a reservation and it is BYOB so bring some wine. If you dine on Fridays and Saturdays then you will order from the taste of Lebanon menu which is honestly the best way to experience Li Beirut. Li Beirut has so many amazing Mezza options to enjoy. From their Hummus, Baba Ghannouj, Labne, Mouhamara, and grilled halloumi cheese. Everything is so fresh and it makes you want to eat more and more of it. If you have a gluten allergy you can almost eat everything here! They serve pita bread on the side but they give you veggies to enjoy with their Mezza. As for entrees I recommend their falafel, their shawarma, samke harra, and their grilled lamb chops. Everything tasted delicious and was cooked to perfection. Their food left me speechless especially their dessert. Now onto the best part of the entire meal which was the dessert! I highly highly highly recommend the Ghazal Beirut. The ice cream melts in your mouth and the cotton candy and the pistachios are the perfect pairing. Next I recommend getting the Muhallabieh which is a Lebanese milk pudding. It offers an out of this world flavor that makes you want more and more of it. Besides having incredible food, the best part about dining at Li Beirut is they treat you like family. They take care of you while you are there because it's like you are eating inside their home. If you haven't dined here yet then I highly recommend you make a reservation. Trust me, you will not be disappointed and in fact you will be wanting to come back for more of their authentic Lebanese food.

Yelp
Wow what a hidden gem in Collingswood. If you think Suraya has the best Lebanese food in the greater Philadelphia area - think twice! This place is is now my favorite Lebanese food place! It's a family owned and operated restaurant. The inside is crowded but cozy. They have an indoor and outdoor seating areas for warmer weather. It's also BYOB ;) We happened to visit on a Friday night which only had the Taste of Lebanon choice which is a set menu $55/person and you get all the food I showed in my photos. We were so full by the time our entree came we just took a small bite and packed it for another meal to go. Everything was so flavorful and nicely prepared - the food was not only tasty but also visually appealing. Mediterranean cuisine is my favorite and this place taste very authentic. We got the mixed grill and the samke harra which is fish of the day dish. Amazing! For desserts we opted for the cotton candy (halva floss) ice cream and the rose water milk pudding. We savored every bite. I can't pick between the two desserts - they were both unique and delicious. Even though it was busy, the staffs were very attentive and I rarely had my water cups empty (I also drink a lot of water). Can't recommend enough the tasting menu experience! Remember it's only on Friday and Saturday nights. This place is perfect for a date night or even a night out with a small group of friends. I do have to say the only con was how loud this place gets because of how tightly places the tables are. This is now one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in the greater Philadelphia area. We need to come back again to order off their regular menu and try all the desserts.

Yelp
Before I rave too much, I have to admit I've only tried one thing from here....but the mixed grill was INCREDIBLE and they managed to pull it off to go. Every meat was delicious and the potatoes held up super well in transit. Plus the salad was a great touch. They also provided way too much bread which made for great sandwiches the next few days. If you are in the mood for meat, I highly recommend. Although just one entree, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a lot of great food on the menu with how perfect the mixed grill is.

Yelp
Wow was a good find! Never got word of this place through the grapevine, just randomly found it on online. So glad we did. We went for a Friday night date and it was crowded with a fun vibe. The ambiance upscale and elegant and we commented we felt as if we were away on vacation. The owner or manager was very welcoming and attentive to us as well as everyone in the restaurant. The food was great - $55 price fix with multiple courses. Everything was delicious and we had tons of leftovers. I had never been to a Lebanese restaurant and many of the offerings reminded me of some foods I have enjoyed for years at Mediterranean/Greek establishments including hummus, baba ganoush, eggplant dip, falafel, Bronzino with an olive tapenade, pita, labneh, grilled lamb chops and more! The first course featuring so many dips/salad with pita was my favorite. Desserts included baklava options as well as some rosewater ice cream with shavings of cotton candy perhaps as well as rose water pudding. Desserts were interesting and tasty but more for the adventurous eater. Will definitely return to enjoy other offerings. Highly recommend to any somewhat adventurous eaters.

Yelp
Wonderful and welcoming. Entering the lovely restaurant and listening to Fairuz music. I'm already under your spell! (The restaurant is named after one of her songs. It's a precious heartfelt song about the beloved homeland of the Lebanese. ) Reservations were made in advance. It's a good idea. The owner is very engaged with all guests. Attentive. The restaurant has so many flowers all around... I feel like I'm dining in his garden. Man'ouche starter. (I'm a fan of Zataar seasoning. Delicious!)) I got roasted eggplant (it was garnished with pomegranate! Colorful and fresh and yummy) And dolma ( warak enab bel zeit) Really special. Delicious. I'm a big fan of the mint lemonade, and the sherab al ward drinks. Made fresh and so refreshing! Such a delicious taste! Exquisite. The owner suggested Ghazal Beirut. He said it's a popular icecream in Lebanon garnished with pistachios & Lebanese cotton candy with pistachios. Very cool, creamy delicious and so special. Did I mention the amazing service? The owner is the most caring and kind. Yalla baA.

Yelp
If you haven't expanded your horizons and visited Li Beirut you are missing out. The flavors they produce are so exciting and will rejuvenate your senses. I mean let's face it who doesn't want to take a bite of something exciting. Tonight we were part of their pre-fix which just might be the best way to experience their menu. All the apps (and we had a child with us) were delectable. I think our 9 year old was more excited than we were to experience and try all of the dishes. When the main course came - wow - like - wow - all you naysayers about lamb need to try it here. MIND BLOWING- the seasoning is spot on and will have you going back for the second and 3rd chop. The fish - do yourself a favor grab a wine like a txakolina let that dance on your pallet and enjoy the fish topped with onions, tomatoes etc it will blow your mind. And let's not stop there dessert....every time I hear Turkish Cotton Candy I am in - I mean let's face it who doesn't love that treat. But if you are thinking American cotton candy this is 100% opposite - Turkish cotton candy is sweet but has this earthy raw sugarcane straw like texture that is captivating and when paired with rose water ice cream and pistachios is the night cap you are looking for. The staff is amazing and will steer you in the right direction, and if you need help Tony won't steer you wrong. This is a place you need to try and add to your rotation. They offer inside dining or a delightful patio. Summer nights on the patio eating food that will inspire you - why are you still reading my review just book already!!!

Yelp
How have I never posted a review? This is- by far- our favorite date night/ special occasion spot. The $55 a person feast is made of dreams. Starting with a delicious assortment of dips and pita (omg that baba ganush) the best salad I've ever tasted, the hot meze with heavenly pillows of fried potatoes and a really unique spiced sausage.. then the main event. I recommend getting the tasting platter which features a little of everything (including lamb which is succulent) or the filet kebab- can't go wrong. The desserts are killer too, so save room. The rose water pudding and cotton candy ice cream- I'm drooling.

Yelp
So we had made a reservation to a restaurant across the street of Li Beirut for my brother's birthday but after waiting for almost an hour past our reservation, I decided to call Li Beirut, skeptical that they could accommodate us - a party of 6. The lady on the phone told me to give her five minutes and she called me back and told us to come on over. As soon as we walked in, they welcomed us like we were guests of honor and treated us like family. After sharing it was my brother's birthday, they brought us a bottle of wine and served it to us. Being a Friday night, they offered us the tasting menu for $55/person and let me tell you, it is more than worth it! First, you get an array of salads and dips with pita bread portions to eat. By the way, you will never lack the bread or water - somehow they always know that you need a refill before you get a chance to realize you need a refill. After this, they brought us the Batata Harra and the Soujouk, which are the most perfectly baked/fried potatoes and a portion of meat for each of us. Then come the main entree - the specialty. Let me tell you... some of us had the shish kebab fillet (that was my specialty), other had the mixed grill and the lamb chops.... each of our specialties was absolutely delicious! Once the food is done, they brought us dessert and coffee, and this was the cherry on the top. All six of us - six grown men - left Li Beirut fully satisfied, beyond satisfied! We were also amazed and surprised at how well we were treated; like no place we have ever eaten at before. Finally, the ambiance was cozy and welcoming and you can immediately tell that the owner - who welcomed us and brought us the bottle of wine - takes much pride in his restaurant. He directs the dining room masterfully and enthusiastically. If you are in the area, you MUST try Li Beirut! Whether you come with a group or with your significant other for a date, you will leave satisfied and happy at the whole experience - from the moment you walk in, the service, and the food!

Yelp
Wow!! Stop reading reviews and make a reservation today! Thank you, Li Beruit, for an outstanding experience. Chef Patricia needs to be applauded for her delectable creations- like none other in the Collingswood area. And our host, Tony, was as helpful as he was charming! Suck a warm and welcoming restaurant. Bring some friends and get ready for a fun -and delicious - night at Li Beruit!!

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a weekend. Gets pretty packed it's somewhat small space inside. We tried their tasting menu. First was bread with zaraar spices. It was OK, not super tasty bread. Next came the appetizers. Typer hummus, yogurt, muhammara, baba Gan, cheese. Overall, the apps were pretty tasty. My favorites were the hummus and cheese. Bread that came with it is not that great compared to other tasting menu pitas. The entrees we tried the mixed grill, lamb chops, and kebab. The bread the used was not super tasty and was repeated a lot in the tasting menu. Overall pretty good, nothing amazing in the entrees. My favorite were the lamb chops. Finally dessert, which we tried the ice cream with bubble gum cotton candy, baklava, and pudding. The dessert was the strongest part of the meal. Service was very friendly and byob is a plus. Overall, it was a good meal. However, for a higher end Middle Eastern tasting menu, it is a step below others in Philly, and I would rather go back to those.

Yelp
Great food and service, very cool and relaxing setting. Outside in the spring and summer nights are nice too. My only pause for 5 stars is that the meats are always cooked well done. Other than that my wife and I love going here.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for awhile. Can't wait to go back! We showed up early for our reservation and they took us immediately. It was really busy too for a Tuesday. I do recommend a reservation for any day of the week. We did the tasting menu for 4+ people. I think it's definitely worth the price. You get to try a lot of different appetizers. Plus everyone gets their own entree and dessert. The entree was a good sized portion. Left completely full with leftovers. They were very accommodating with my nut allergies. Honestly, there wasn't much I couldn't have in the tasting menu. Just one appetizer. There was only one dessert option for me though. I had the mixed grill for my entree. So much good. The steak was tender. The lamb was my favorite. Probably the best lamb I've had in awhile. The beef kofta was a little dry but had a lot of fresh herbs and good flavor. The chicken was ok. I had the pudding for dessert. It was very light and refreshing. All of the other desserts at the table received high remarks. The sampling of appetizers was amazing. I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried - baba ghanouj, salads, yogurt, feta with tomatoes, and hummus.

Yelp
Didn't realize how difficult it was to get into this place when we tried on Monday to get a reservation for 4 on that Saturday even at 5:00p, but they would only take us at 4:30p. We were the first customers to arrive at 4:25p and pretty much had our choice of tables at that time. Since they only offer their $55pp tasting menu on the weekends, we only had to choose our entrees (all 4 of us opted for the mixed grill) and desserts (we got 4 different ones to share. The 2 salads, 9 cold/warm small plate appetizers and pitas came out quickly ... giving us plenty to taste and try. Everything was good ... but some of the pita seemed a bit colder and harder than it should have been. Then, our mixed grills came out and the meats were super tasty ... where sides included some veggies, breads, and more potatoes (which were too similar to the large bowl of potato apps we got). It could have used some rice (which I really wish we got) or some tzatziki (which our friend requested and got to break up the rich food). Everyone was pretty full by dessert ... but we still liked the (small portions of) cotton candy ice cream, butter cake, kanafe cheese, and milk pudding. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves ... but like everyone else, not quite sure if it was worth the price.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I were trying to find someplace we haven't been yet to go for dinner for New Year's Eve. After searching highly rated restaurants on Yelp and looking through pictures we landed on Li Beirut. The food looked delicious and the reviews were all very positive. Li Beirut was only offering their tasting menu on New Year's Eve called A Taste Of Lebanon for $55 / person (perfectly fine with us because we would've went with that option regardless). Our reservations were at 5:30 for 2 people. We arrived a few minutes early, decided to park down a side street and had a short walk to the restaurant. It looked like they had parking behind the building but I wasn't totally sure. The restaurant was very easy to get to and is byob which is always a plus! Once we walked in we were greeted and asked where we wanted to be seated. The main part of the restaurant was a little brighter and had more tables/people so we elected to be seated in the back section of the restaurant. There were no doors or barriers separating the two but there were a few steps leading up to the back and it definitely seemed more secluded and romantic. As part of the tasting menu the table received 7 different starters known as Mezza (Hummus, Baba Ghannouj, Labne, Mouhamara, Warri Enab, Soujouk, and Batata Harra), a salad to split, 1 entree per guest, and one dessert per guest. Reviews we read specifically mentioned the large portion sizes and the amount of food you receive and they were spot on. The first 5 items I mentioned above fall under the Cold Mezza and were served with fresh pita bread (and as much as you wanted so be careful not to get too full like we did lol). I love stuffed grape leaves and was the most excited about these out of all the Mezza. My girlfriend on the other hand loves Baba Ghanouj. Each of the spreads had such unique texture and flavor. Some were light, airy, and refreshing. Others were smooth and creamy. They were all so good I honestly couldn't pick my favorite. The 2 hot Mezza we were served came out after the cold Mezza and before the main courses. The sauce the sausage was cooked in and served in was delicious while the potatoes were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. We were really hoping to order the Tabbouleh salad as this is one of our favorite dishes, but we were served the Fattoush salad instead. It's okay though because it was also great. I loved the vinaigrette, radishes, and noticeable mint leaves in the salad. The kicker was the fried pita sprinkled on top! By the time we got to our main courses arrived we were stuffed! She ordered baked cod served in tahini sauce with rice. I ordered the mixed grill for one which came with a ground beef kebab, marinated chicken, filet mignon, and a lamb chop. We both love tahini so we loved the sauce the fish was served in and the cod tasted fresh. The assortment of meats I was served were all tender and seasoned so well. Again, I couldn't decide which I liked best. We ordered our dessert to go and had to take portions of our entrees home! Our first experience at Li Beirut was as good as one could hope. The food was exceptional, the service was great, the restaurant was cute inside. All of the employees were professional, respectful, and accommodating. The value for what we received was incredible. Next time we're back we agreed we'd order food off of the menu instead of doing the tasting menu just because it was so much to eat. I 100% recommend the tasting menu if you're new to Lebanese food or have not been to Li Beirut yet.

Yelp
Came here out of curiosity one Friday evening (recommend a reservation esp on weekends bc this place is VERY popular!), and have been here with a new person about every 2-3 weeks! I drive past this to get to the train every weekday morning and had only just realized I had this on my list of places to try... so lucky for me, I thankfully got a seat without a reservation on one fateful Friday in December and this might be mine and my family's new favorite place around here!! I first brought my husband who was thrilled to have food from my (unfamiliar) side of the family and something he was willing to eat over and over again. Something about "if I say I don't want shawarma, you should be worried, because I always want shawarma." Okay. Deep feelings. But, in all seriousness, thank you, Li Beirut, because once I brought my mom here, we both tasted nostalgia. We finally figured out why no shawarma tasted authentic to our old favorite back in the UAE: there was no garlic sauce! Oh, what a revelation!! We could eat that by the spoonful, now that we realized what we had been missing! I brought mom, she brought almost every friend she loves there, we celebrated my brother's 20th birthday, I brought one of my best friends, and the list will keep going, I'm sure. My mom and I have gone so much (at least 3 times every few weeks) that the lovely owner recognized us (kinda embarrassing) and recommended we come not on a fixed menu day. Again, if going on Friday or Saturday, definitely make a reservation; the menu is fixed $55 per person, and you get a taste of the most popular things. Save space for dessert because you will definitely want the ice cream that has cotton candy served in a ceramic bowl, and take your main entree home bc you won't have space after all the apps!! Enjoy and bring everyone! Hoping for an even bigger location and more parking because it's that good. Trust me, you'll wanna go.

Yelp
Guests Beware: YOU WILL LEAVE STUFFED :) If you're looking for an introduction to Middle Eastern food, I highly suggest exploring Li Beirut. Even for those that consider themselves Middle Eastern cuisine aficionados, the tasting menu is a fun way to explore a variety of dishes and flavors. We stopped in on a Friday evening with friends and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is perfect, cozy, immaculate. Everything. The cold mezzes were a great start to the evening - everyone in our group had their own favorite spread (I'm personally a big fan of the Labne and Baba Ghanouj). Our biggest downfall is that we ate too much pita bread off the bat. When the hot mezzes arrived, we knew we were in danger! If you don't opt for the tasting menu and are ordering a la carte, I can't recommend the potatoes more (I think it was the Batata Harra). For more entrée, I opted for the Tajin (baked fish in tahini sauce). I probably wouldn't order it again since I have had better tajin dishes elsewhere, however, the rest of my table ordered Shawarmas and it was very well received. For dessert, we sampled the Kanafe Cheese and Ghazal Beirut. My partner LOVES Kanafe and inhaled his piece - his comment was that he wish they would let him order more. I've never tried anything quite like the Ghazal Beirut but it was delightful. It was light, airy, and not too sweet. It was the perfect way to top off our night! Overall, a great experience - tasty food and very reasonably priced for all that you are getting. We'll definitely be back for more! We would highly recommend Li Beirut as an amazing local restaurant to support.

Yelp
We got the $55 per person menu which came with a variety of mezze dishes, a main course, and dessert. All the food was amazing, and the mezze was so filling that we basically took most of the entrees home with us. The price was well worth it for the quantity and quality of the food. This place was very crowded since it was a Friday night, but we didn't feel rushed at all and the servers were great.

Yelp
This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Everything had so much flavor. We went on a Friday night when there is a $55 per person charge for a shared appetizer spread for the table (mezza), a pick your own entree, and a chef's selection of desserts. The four in my party enjoyed everything start to finish. The mezza was phenomenal and plenty for four. We had the mixed grill, lamb chop, beef shawarma and chicken shawarma entrees and loved everything. The bowl of potatoes provided for the table was a big hit too. We sampled all the desserts. All were delish. BYOB. Can't wait to go back. Only negative is that it can get loud in the restaurant.

Yelp
We wanted to check out a new restaurant in this neighborhood and were so happy we came across this place! All of the food tasted delicious and fresh, and the portions were generous. The owner was extremely kind as well and checked up on us constantly, and even offered complimentary dessert! The outdoor patio was very peaceful for a nice meal outside, though in colder weather, the inside is very spacious and clean. We will definitely return in the future!

Yelp
Food was delicious, service was amazing. Water cups constantly filled. BYOB. Was not rushed at all. Since we went on a Saturday night we did $55 PP pre fixed menu. It was a salad with 5 different dips, pita bread, grape leaves. And then 2 entrees. My husband got the lamb which was cooked perfectly and I got the filet. Everything was so good. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Excellent place!! The tasting menu for 4 is the way to go. There is so much food I took half of my meal home. The services was wonderful, you didn't feel rushed between courses and your glass of water was always full. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my meal and I'm sure the company played a major factor as well. The highlights for me was the hummus part of the cold mezza, both salads (although one I had no idea what I was eating but it was delicious) and the potatoes that came with the hot mezza such a great seasoning and each and everyone were crispy crunchy goodness. I ordered the mix grill for one.. chicken, lamb, beef what a fabulous combination. We all ordered a different dessert to get a chance to taste 4 of the 6 offered, hands down the butter cake was the best.

Yelp
Four of us arrived on a Sunday evening. Our friend who made the reservations smartly asked to move us from the outside patio to inside. While it was a bit noisier inside (hey, everybody was having a great time!), it was a joy to get away from the Joisey heat and humidity for a cool and comfortable dinner. We were there for 2.5 hours! We opted for the $55 tasting menu for four. Honestly, it was a bit confusing about what to order and what came with the menu, but I just sat back and let the food do all the talking as each dish was just so unique and different. None of us are experts in this cuisine, but we were pretty much willing to try anything - my motto, if you can't pronounce it, try it! The cold mezza were a big hit with 5 little dishes that was just the perfect amount for 4 of us. We loved the 2 salads. By the time the 2 hot mezza dishes arrived, we were starting to fill up. And then there was the main dish. I opted for the sampler grill, and each protein was amazing - and I don't even like lamb. For dessert, four tiny samples came out but OMG, that butter cake one produced gasps of delight and pleasure. Definitely a winner if you want something unique and special and are adventurous eaters.

Yelp
Top ratings for a beautiful restaurant with a delicious menu. I really enjoy exploring Lebanese/Mediterranean cuisines and this evening's meal was on par with Suraya and almost met Zahav's standards. The only part of the meal that fell short was the pita. At Zahav and Suraya, the freshly baked, still steaming and puffed pita comes right out of the oven directly to your table. Here, pita wasn't a co-star of the meal, sadly. Just warmed in a small plate so it got lost among all the fine flavors of the tasting menu. My favorites were all the cold mezze and my filet kebab served with tahini. Best desserts were the baklava and butter cake. I'll be happy to return for another meal.

Yelp
This was by far the best meal I've had in a very very very long time. Tony who was taking care of us was excellent. Atmosphere was welcoming. Beautiful decorations. We ordered the tasting menu which was PLENTY of food. All of it was delicious. The dips came with bread which was piping hot. Hot mezze were also very fresh. The garlic sauce was amazing. We all got the mixed plate and it was delicious. It came with a lamb chop that was PHENOMENAL! Desserts were also great. We got the Halva ice cream, Knefeh, and Pudding. We will absolutely be back!!

Yelp
Wonderful service, atmosphere. Taste of Lebanon was a ton of food. Red pepper hummus stuff was great. Meats. Pita. Everything was amazing.

Yelp
Excellent delicious cuisine, service, and hospitality. Tony and family go far and beyond to make you feel at home. The tranquil ambience of Li Beirut is a perfect place for a romantic date or family gathering. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Took a step outside my normal tastes to give Li Beirut a try on the recommendation of a few people. I am glad I did. This one price feast is amazing. You get some small sharable "dips" like hummus, babba ganush, roasted peppers, olives and a salad. Plenty of pitas to dip. Then comes some potatoes and some sausage. You get to pick your main course. I picked the sampler which had chicken kabobs, a filet kabob, lamb lollipop, and you also get dessert! You won't leave hungry that is for sure. All of the food was super fresh tasting and we'll prepared. The ice cream was topped with a sesame cotton candy. Definitely don't be shy going outside your own wheelhouse and ask questions. The owner explains all the dishes to you if you ask.

Yelp
Another incredible visit for some take out to try some smaller dish items that couldn't have been more delicious. The owner and his wife treated me like family and I will not forget their generosity and warm greetings. When I got home I discovered a desert that I will definitely be ordering again. I feel that there will be nothing here that I don't love I can't wait to return for a full another dinner.

Yelp
When you have two sets of couple-friends highly recommending this place, you bring them with you for your first visit. The place is really cute, love the lights outside. The indoor space was cozy and nice. It was packed though so clearly others love it too. But given how busy it was, it meant that service would be on the slower side. We were probably sitting there for over twenty minutes before getting our menus and then another 10-15 min before placing our order. But after that, the food came out pretty quickly. Weekends are pri fixe menu- you just pick your entree and dessert. I'm telling you, I got so full from the cold and hot appetizers. Everything was delicious! I esp loved my mixed grill for one- the lamb was delicious. And the desserts were unique and tasty. I gotta give the credit to the kids working there- they're hard workers and we were impressed.

Yelp
Food great. We had tasting menu which offered all types of hummus and pita. I got the lamb which was tender and tasty. It is byob so we came prepared. The only thing was we did not notice there was designated parking on the side. Great ambience at night with lights.

Yelp
What an amazing dining experience - and it is a total experience! We did the tasting menu, and dishes just started coming out, each one a more delicious and exciting flavor than the one before. Service was friendly - efficient but not rushed. We barely emptied a glass when it was refilled and we were checked in on often, but not to the point that it was intrusive. This was our first visit and definitely the first of many to come. We loved this meal.

Yelp
Li Beirut is not just dinner, it's an experience for all of your senses! Everything looks, smells, and tastes incredible! The owner takes pride in his culture and shares it in such a beautiful way with his patrons. He was nothing but warm, kind, and generous during our entire meal, and even brought us something on the house just to try! My fiancé and I have been here twice now and will absolutely continue to keep coming back. The $55 tasting menu is 100% worth every penny and every bite! Bring your appetite because you will be stuffed by the end of your meal, and have plenty to bring home for the next day. Just make sure to save some room for the Ashta ice cream with Halva cotton candy!

Yelp
On the weekends, they only offer a tasting menu that is priced at 55/ per person. The price point is not steep compared to other middle eastern restaurants in the larger Philadelphia area. The highlights of our meal were definitely the Fattoush salad - I loved the sumac dressing and the mouhamara always. We really enjoyed the shish taouk and the shawarma but the arnabeet (veggie cauliflower specialty) was lacking in flavor compared to the mezze we had earlier. The dessert options were great, I especially enjoyed the muhallabieh, it reminded me of panna cotta but slightly different texture.

Yelp
Came here for a dinner a week ago. What an experience. Had the tasting menu for 4 people. Honestly, was just too much food. Would have been better to split those same apps between 5 or 6 people. Servers were very nice and it had a great family run vibe. Well decorated and cozy and BYOB which is great. Standouts from the apps were the feta and tomatoes, roasted peppers, and the baba ghanoush. But everything was delicious. The Monks salad was something I hadn't encountered before and has a nice slightly fermented flavor to it. Now the mains were the real stand outs. The lamb chop might have been the best lamb chop I've ever had. It was just so juicy and tender - absolutely perfectly cooked. Flavor was just as good a day later when I heated up a leftover chop. The pilaf also was a randomly delicious and perfectly cooked item. Kebabs were great as was the fish. The only thing that wasn't stellar (don't get me wrong it was still good) was the grilled eggplant. Tasted too much like the baba ghanoush and just wasn't as good as the meat entrees. Also got 4 deserts which were all excellent. Not overly sweet and the baklava actually was my least favorite of the four. Price was very reasonable for the amount of food you get and quality. Definitely recommend to any in the area and honestly, those from Philly too. This stands up well against Philly's middle eastern food for sure.

Yelp
As a Lebanese myself I can tell you, food is authentic and very tasty. Freshly done. Service was fast, efficient and the owner was present always making sure that everyone was well served. Space is great! I am definitely coming back, I finally found an authentic Lebanese place that reminds me my mon food this close to Philadelphia.

Yelp
We liked this place but didn't love it. For starters they have a price fixe menu on Fri and weekend days. This was sort of annoying. We wanted to get what we wanted . We had to opt for the mixed grill. The restaurant is very loud . This seemed to be a known problem since everyone felt like they were shouting . We had the dip samplers and all were very tasty. The pita was also good. One drawback was the slow service. Everyone who worked here looked like a teenager in a hoodie. Guess good work hard to find these days. The food Itself was good but the temperature could have been hotter. That was our one concern. We also did get dessert. The Owner told us that we didn't get his favorite so he came out and brought us his favorite. The owner was working the room and made suggestions and was very friendly. The restaurant is BYOB which is always a plus.

Yelp
the interior/exterior of this place is beautiful. ample seating outside and lots of seating inside. bathroom was clean and decor was very appeasing. loved it i was debating if i wanted to do the tasting or order a la carte but since it was my first time here i went with the tasting. the cold mezzes came out right away; loved the hummus and the salad but everything else i could do without. the warm mezzes (sausage and potatoes) were nice to have but def not a need/must. my husband wanted to try the wings so we got them but honestly nothing to rave home about. not much seasoning/flavor but they were very crispy! i got the baked tajin fish and my husband got the lambchop as entrees. not gonna lie, i did not love the fish. very bland and not much flavor but the rice it came with was tasty. the lamb chops on the other hand were very tender and flavorful. definitely recommend! the real star of the meal were the desserts. we got the famous cotton candy ice cream and semolina butter cake. both were so delicious and unique i would come back for those alone! overall it was a very nice dinner experience. service was great and the manager was very attentive. but i'll definitely order a la carte next time, i don't think i needed all the mezzes that i got. i'd be fine with just hummus & pita, salad, entree and dessert! 3.75/5

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about Li Beirut. In May 2021 I came here for the first time with my family to celebrate my birthday. I was looking for places we had never been to before and somehow stumbled on this gem. We all partook in the tasting menu and had an amazing time. At the time, not only was the food fantastic, but so was the welcoming and charming atmosphere. This time around in August 2022, I brought my best friends here after not seeing them for 5 months because I knew this would be the perfect place for a reunion. Just as it was back in 2021, Li Beirut was extremely charming -- not just from the decor and design of the establishment, but the staff as well. For appetizers, we decided to go with a cold and hot mezza so we ordered the hummus (a classic) and batata harra (fried potatoes, sautéed with lemon, garlic & cilantro). I'll just say that Tony, our server and the owner I believe, kept the pita coming like there was not tomorrow. And also threw in a plate of baba ghanouj on the house! As for the batata harra, you need to make sure that it comes with the garlic butter/aioli, because you cannot stop eating it. The entree I chose, which was probably the best thing on the menu, was the Mixed Grill for One. The reason it's so good is that it's a mix of nearly everything on the entrees menu -- like a mini tasting platter of sorts! If this is your first time here and you're not sure what you want but don't want the tasting menu, the Mixed Grill for One is the way to go. I seriously devoured everything on the plate and left no crumbs. The lamb chops, I will say, were the best part of the dish. While my group didn't end up ordering dessert, Tony, who was being incredibly hospitable all evening, ended up giving us a ghazal Beirut (Lebanese halva cotton candy with pistachios and ashta ice cream) on the house too! So I'll say this, rarely do you find a place that has both exquisite cuisine and staff that goes above and beyond for your party, but you'll find it here at Li Beirut : ) Happy eating and stay safe!

Yelp
Excellent in every way. Once in the door of the beautiful, authentic Lebanese space, your future dining experience expectations will never be met! Run by a family dedicated to the introduction of original Mediterranean foods to an area that doesn't have anything like this in the area! The family is warm and makes you feel at home the entire stay without ever making you feel rushed --even in the middle of a full house! On weekends the restaurant offers a fixed price menu for $55 and the restaurant is a BYOB! Check out their menu on the website. Personally enjoyed a plethora of Mediterranean goodies like specialty hummus and baba ghanosh, stuffed grape leaves, fried Mediterranean cheese, a fabulous salad and that was only the first go-round. For dinner I had the whole Bronzino filleted and stuffed with a secret family stuffing, closed and served whole! Beautiful! My husband had the Mixed Grill and savored every bite--Except for the lamb chop! After he shared a bite, I took the whole chop! Not nice but worth it! Dessert was --get this--cotton candy ice cream!!! And you could never imagine it! Just get it! You won't be disappointed! Finally Get the Baklava! Home made! So, mom's Chef and co-owner in the kitchen! Non stop unless you ask to see her...Tony, her husband is golden treating every guest like family...two sons and a daughter are a big part of making this place magical. Treat yourself!

Yelp
Wow! What an amazing experience! We did the tasting menu (before an event at the Scottish Rite). The welcome was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the nice guy was perfect. Come hungry (and byob). The only thing better than the food (which was amazing) was the service. Wonderful!

Yelp
Fun place to have dinner for a girls night out. Very good tasting menu. Everything was flavorful. BYOB!
