"Situated at the entrance to the historic centre, this is the restaurant to make for if you’re looking for traditional Lazio cuisine with a focus on delicious and authentic meat dishes, plus the occasional fish dish and recipes from neighbouring regions. Among the many dishes offered by skilful chef Adriano Baldassarre, a whole section is dedicated to offal specialities – a truly extensive array of mouthwatering delicacies." - Michelin Inspector

Be sure to make reservations. Bilingual staff, Italian + English. They are happy to make recommendations on food + wine. Highly recommend: Oxtail Meatballs

Amazing to see what we got for the small price of the chef's menu! We got great dishes, like the renowned creamed cod but also amazing chicken filled gnocci and a wonderful dessert! The food was a true miracle! Service was quick and well timed, but sometimes a bit chaotic with different waiters and sometimes missing some information. There is room for improvement there, but overall it did not harm the full experience. A well deserved five stars!

So excellent! Something very special yet not out of reach (check out their menu on the website to see if it's in your range). I was seeking a fine dining experience in Tivoli and a series of recommendations led me to read up on various restaurants that might meet my desires. The menu, the pricing and reviews by high ranking Google Maps users led me there with crossed fingers... It exceeded my expectations! I wanted to try so many things so I opted for a series of smaller dishes so I could experience more. I was dining alone but was treated with attentive service, a great local wine selection by the Maitre d' and then left to enjoy my meal at the very slow pace I prefer. Everything was wonderful but the stand out dish for me was "Uovo e uova, soffice di patata ed erba cipollina". Their house made bread accompanied by olives and hummus of lupini was perfect, too. I chose a table near the spiral staircase leading up to the kitchen, so I could hear the chefs and other kitchen staff making the magical dishes - I was pleased to hear a happy kitchen at work, not the stereotype of aggressive head chef bawling out all the staff (I have enough Italian to know the difference between happy and angry chatter). I highly recommend this restaurant for an intimate dinner in their subterranean dining room or something more casual in their open air dining section. EDIT: The music choice was not great - an instrumental version of an old Demis Roussos song? 🤨

Expectations did not meet reality. We got seated in the corner and not in the main hall which is way more posh and presentable. Meatloaf was a very average and greasy dish, reminded me on cafeteria in a school, taste combination did not surprise me at all. Deep fried brains were interesting, young zucchini very too salty and overfried with sour/metallic taste. If you order bread with hummus you will get exactly 2 teaspoons of hummus for two. Sourdough bread was also not the greatest, very hard crust(I am making sourdough bread myself) The host was coming to us too many times(like 7-9 times asking how is everything) Oxtail in the crumb read - interesting choice but imho the breading ruins this great meat

Very bad experience. We get seatted and wait like 5 minuts for a meny card. 10 minuts after we then have orderd we get some bread. Then first when we are done with the bread we get some olive oil, but like we didnt have anymore bread soooo why give us oil? We wait for our food for in all 25 minuts. I have orderd chiken with some mushrooms and potatoes. The chiken really lacked salt. It had no taste, and was just boring. The potatoes tasted not roasted, the skin wasn't crispy. The mushrooms was okay. My friend got some lamb. He just got a bone with no meat on. The staff never came to ask how the food was. For a former Michelin chef we really was disapointed. We told the staff when they came for the plates how the food was. They just seemed anyeed, no discount no nothing. All in all VERY disapointing.

Surprisingly high quality food and service. Tivoli itself was a delight with surprisingly good food and drink choices but Li Somari was exceptional presentation and delightful tastes for what at first sight appears to be a street cafe (if it was Rome we'd probably have overpaid for an average pizza! - this was a totally different experience). We were recommended to visit by our charming hosts at the nearby Al Palazzetto B&B (also superb). We had an amazing charred potato dip and trout carpaccio to start, followed by superb Spaghetti with raw shrimp and Bistecca. Great Franciacorta too - all surprisingly good value too.

Overrated restaurant. I had tortelli with baccala’ and they were pretty bland, additionaly portion was scarce for the price: only 6 tortelli. The secondo was coda di rospo fish but it was very hard, perhaps overcooked. Location is good and service was ok. I liked the bread very much.
