Where Fine Dining Goes to Die****
As the editor-in-chief of a travel magazine, I’ve eaten everywhere from food trucks in Guadalajara to Michelin-starred dining in New York City... nothing compares to the catastrophe that was Li Somari.
We waited 48 minutes for entrées that arrived at 8:55 PM, both burnt to the color of charcoal on the bottom side of each dish. Too exhausted to wait another 45 mins, we asked for them to be cleared. As the bill came, staff refused to remove the dishes from the bill, offering only 10% off the incinerated plates they insisted were “a cooking choice.”
This kitchen isn’t built for fine dining, or the basics.
Verdict: a scam with garnish, a tragedy with table service, and the worst dining experience – ever.
