Libation Room

This was a great and fun place for a night out on the town! All staff was polite and professional, from the time we stepped inside until we left. The bartender and DJ were AMAZING! Great drinks (Paseo Rose) and great dance music! The lounge is classy and beautiful inside. I recommend Libation Room if you're looking to have a night of fun and dancing! Good vibes!

If you want to have a great time go to Libation!! No cover great atmosphere and bartenders are awesome!!! Music is amazing dance and drink the night away!!

This place opened at 9pm, my partner and I came by at 9:05. Lights on, opened door, staff all sitting at the bar. I said “are you open?” Guy inside said “uhhh” I closed the door and we went to La fe. On our way back up the street, they had “security” out front. We wanted to stop in and check it out, as we have some friends in town next week and we’re looking for places to bring a large group of people for music and drinks. The security checked my ID, and then proceeded to say “sorry boss, no hats. You can leave it up front or put it in your car if it’s close. Mind you, there were zero people inside at 10pm on a Friday… If they don’t need the business in September in Palm Desert, I’ll go to a local spot who does. Plenty of places to support other than this place. Anyway… these are the places that keep Palm Desert underwhelming.

I went to have a drink and gave a compliment to one of the waitresses and another bar tender started an argument with me because of it , I got kicked out for it , they need to fire those involved, very bad experience and environment! I recommend you do not go !!!

Nice cozy upscale place with great cocktail drinks and atmosphere. Plus a DJ! My husband and I went on a Thursday night and really had a great time.

Great place to have a yummy drink, listen to some good music and dance James at the front door was awesome dude. I plan on going back tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for a great time last night. 5 stars all day

Apparently nobody has to wear a mask but you can’t wear a baseball hat? Took my hat as I was already inside and didn’t tell me at the door! Staff very unfriendly. And they don’t check your vaccination card ? Make it make sense !

RUDE STAFF, WE went this past Saturday evening and upon arrival told us they had a wait yet other people were let in who were not a list. I had a hat and supposedly they had a no hat policy however 2 people inside had hats on and I pointed it out to the door man he acted like he couldn't be spoken to and blew off the question. Our party went to another location and spent $400 so they got our business not this place " Hire people who don't think they are high and mighty. We went to the NEST and the owner Dotty was very accommodating unlike this place.

About 30 people total at the bar, not busy as the place was winding down. Bartender spent literally 20-30 minutes serving this one customer that he was hitting on exchanging numbers and what not (after having taken a shot with her). During this time, I tried to get his attention to order a drink and close my tab. He eventually got me a beer and a shot - ordered him one too since he was clearly fine with drinking on the job - then he went back to flirting with this girl. 10 minutes pass again while I'm periodically trying to get his attention so I could close my tab. Ultimately tried to ask the bar back, she couldn't help. She got the attention the other bartender to help. Other bartender also couldn't find my tab, and swore it was the first bartender that had it. I was frustrated and emphatically said I just wanted to close my tab. Then the first bartender literally smashed a glass in front of me on the bar, then proceeded to throw another glass across the bar! He absolutely flipped his lid and threatened me and had to be restrained. They finally found my card as it was stashed in some glass on the back wall of the bar. Never seen anything like this before.

This place was good for what it is. Came here on a Saturday night as a party of six. The ambience was typical of a lounge. The bouncers were friendly, as were the bartenders and staff. Of course, there's always some trouble with nightclubbers. The drinks we ordered were two of the same. We ordered the Matcha shots. They were actually pretty good. One thing I didn't particularly like about this place was the bathroom. I went to one out of the two restrooms here, the lower one. It wasn't very well cleaned as it was one stall and high use. The DJ was somewhat decent the night we came. He played two of my requests after asking a handful of times. I would most likely try out another lounge or nightclub in the area or Palm Springs, before returning to this one.

Always a cool spot. Hot in the back room but good for medium size groups 6-10 deep. Bachelorette and birthday party groups always here. Locals start arriving around. Midnight. Good mix of music on Saturday's. With top 40 and pop hits. Drink prices are affordable and you do get some sleepy locals but call them out to the bouncers and they will address it. We've been here for a few friends birthdays. It's right on el paseo

I think that the "Libation Room" is trying to appeal to a younger crowd, who is looking for nice ambiance (aka "not a dive bar"). While the floorplan is the same as other neighborhood "shoebox" bars, the décor is sophisticated--it has a hint of Vegas. There are three booths available for bottle service. (If I recall, $200 was the lowest priced package for a booth.) Our group ordered gin / vodka tonics. The average price for a drink was $12.50--so the drinks prices aren't cheap. This is an interesting place. It's not my sort of place--but it's different, compared to a lot of other smaller sized bars in the Coachella Valley.

I always have a grate time at libation My go to bartender is Caesar his drink work is very high class and works with fresh ingredients I highly recommend asking for Cesar for a good time Libation had taken care of on my birthday and we all had a blast we were seated graciously with bottle service . The music was on point I couldn't sit down Thank you libation I will see you again This is the place to be ! 5 stars !!!

This place is a hidden Gem! The atmosphere is so electric! The staff is awesome, place is clean and it gets SUPER Lit when DJ Dyverse is on the ones and twos! Gigi is the best waitress they have! Super attentive, courteous snd always makes us feel welcome!! If your looking for a good time to meet cool people and have some drinks, look no further than Libation Room! You won't be disappointed!

Excellent customer service on a September Saturday.. not too busy but the DJ was playing some James. End of the night, after last call... security/manager made sure the creepers didn't come after us. And I get it, usually they don't have time to do this, but luckily our hotel was down the street and they made sure we got back safely.. MADE OUR NIGHT WAYYYYY BETTER because we got back safely when our Lyft was taking forever. Drinks were delicious and strong. Music was eclectic. And staff was awesome!

This bar was fun and the bartenders were very good. The other staff was friendly. I went on friday night and there was a group of girls on wedding trip so the place was getting busy. I could see some locals came in and know each other im not from palm desert so I felt a little out of place but the vibe made up for. I usually drink in the Palm Springs area as I'm from that side of The Valley, but there's too many gay bars there. So it's good to come to a bar that has lots of women and I enjoyed it.

This is probably the only decent bar that we were able to find during our stay. We came on a Saturday night and it was an enjoyable night. The DJ was great, the bartender was friendly and the drinks were good but a little pricey for small glasses. The only bad thing I have to say is this place does not have the space for a crowd. It's very small so be prepared to have a lot of people bumping into you. Overall, I'd still come back again for a night out if I'm ever in the area.

They don't allow hats???? "Because it's a liability". I smell BS lol. Super odd for a bar. Even though there is less than 30 people here. One of the servers told me to "get out of the way" uhm I'm sorry I'm standing in your way by the table designated by the establishment itself. Quite disappointed....

Dj Dyverse is a phenomenal Dj. Staff is always on point. Great safe club to visit. Manager Ryan does a great job.

This establishment is pure trash. The bartender Cesar charges your credit card for drinks you didn't order, has a very nasty and vile attitude. The owner is no better, when confronted about the unauthorized charges on my credit card, he did nothing about it. I still have a charge for over $145 that they refuse to refund. The drinks are not good and very expensive.

We were on a double date and decided to find a bar nearby after dinner. This place came up on my search on Yelp and did not disappoint! First impression: it was a lot smaller than I thought. The interior was narrow but stretched pretty far back. We sat on the bar stools right by the bar. My lemon drop was phenomenal. I'd go there just for that. We had the best time there. What a cozy little bar for hanging out. Oh and there was a DJ playing cool hits. Overall, this place had awesome vibes and a great crowd.

We've celebrated two events here so far, we absolutely love the vibe here. Once was for a friends birthday, last night was for my birthday/ bachelor/ bachelorette party. We had an absolutely amazing time. I scheduled ahead of time with Danielle who was absolutely amazing at communicating with me and even let my friends decorate. I love how diligent security is with people who are being a nuisance. It feels safe. Gigi is an absolute doll! I love her attention to detail and service! She deserves a raise! Lol the drinks are amazing and the environment is so very much our vibe we're 30+ and have a hard time finding clubs that are more our scene, mature so to speak. We wore white shoes and for once they weren't covered in spills or scuffed up like they would've been normally. Totally different crowd and we appreciate that! The Djs wife wouldn't let me approach him, which I thought was odd, even after tipping $20 he only played two songs of the artists we suggested and by the time I asked we only had less than an hour left in the night. His playlist was meh but that did not stop us from having an amazing time! Truly appreciate everyone for making our party perfectly magical!

This place could be superior if they hired the right DJ. They play music that isn't reflective of the crowd. Why? Know your target market! Seriously, buzz kill. Play some 50 cent please. Play to the crowd. If they ain't bobbin their head and dripping it low, FIRED!

We have been coming here for quite some time. We love the food, entertainment, and overall experience. This place is a gem in the desert. We not to long ago had the pleasure of having Gigi as our server. She makes the expierance even better and I would highly recommend requesting her as your server. She is just the best!! If you are looking for a place to unwind, enjoy great food, maybe celebrate an event with some friends, or just relax I highly recommend it. Don't forget to request Gigi you will not regret it

Small, hot, crowded, lame music. Not a fan but it works for some people. The layout is terrible but they are trying to do the best with what they have.

Great place for a drink. The DJ sets up and the music is happening after 1000pm. The staff is very friendly and they look out for you. The place is very dark and have a dance floor in the back. The music can be all over the place but the vibes is very friendly. Come check it out!

If you enjoy drinking tiny shards of broken glass this is the place for you. Despite the fact that I mentioned to the bartender she's not supposed to jam a glass into the ice bin to fill it because if the glass breaks broken glass will be in the ice bin and get into somebody's drink ...she kept doing it all night. She took an attitude when I mentioned this to her and later refused to give me water looking straight at me and like walking away. When we arrived at 9pm no one was there and a couple workers were just talking to each other at the back of the bar meanwhile there was trash all over the floor and in the booths - they weren't set up and they didn't clean it up until 10 o'clock. The DJ is very good but this place in in serious violation Because of their unfriendly bartender jamming actual glass into an ice bin which is like absolutely unprofessional and crazy. Also somebody needs to tell the bartender when someone arrives you sit down a cocktail napkin in front of them, you ask them what they want to drink, and then you place their drink on the cocktail napkin which is not what happened and I had to ask for a cocktail napkins and the unhappy Bartender Looked at me like I asked to borrow money. Next time I will go to the NEST where they use a metal scooper to get the ice into the glass and they also are super friendly.

Don't come here. My group and I were verbally assaulted by the bouncer, Ray, who made racist comments and then denied it. He was also incredibly unprofessional and immature as we tried to talk to him as adults, asking for an apology. Instead, he got in our faces, shoved one of the girls and was saying things like, "let's do this then, let's take this outside" Instigating a PHYSICAL FIGHT. What kind of human does this to customers and guests!? Take your business elsewhere.

This place looked like fun from the outside, Since I had a hat on I was not allowed to enter however 2 people right inside had hats on, I asked the guy at the front why those 2 inside and I couldn't join that was it. After reading the reviews on Yelp and Google about the doorman named Ray I can see why he has a lot of bad press- He started to get irritated when I questioned him and he went and got another staff member to come out this guy has napoleon complex big time. We went to another place where they earned our $400.00 plus dollars we spent that night I will definitely not be back here If you want a cool spot to try the Nest or Kitch 86 IMO:) So Ray next time you decide to LIE and say " NO HATS" when someone points it out right behind you and you get squirmy and have to run inside and bring out some guy who thinks he looks tuff to try to intimidate someone try again. If I were the owner I would start looking at the review and making staff changes FAST at the named staff on here REVIEWS MATTER!

I ordered the Paseo Rose, and it's a must try! The elderflower foam is such a unique addition to a cocktail! The gin and elderflower balance each other out exquisitely! The music and atmosphere is PERFECT for a night out in Palm Desert!

Libation room is a modern day speakeasy, A fun place for the modern man and the classic. Great music, great drinks, great staff.

Came here for an event and it was very nice. Really friendly and polite bar staff. Excellent drinks. Gigi was amazing! She is super sweet and welcoming. Im not from the area but she definitely made me feel comfortable there. If your looking for a place to hang out this is great environment!

We had a girls weekend in Pam deserts and dinner with at Mastro's , had heard about Libation room so walked over to the club. The vibe was great, loved the music and the room in the back. There was a good mix of people. The service and drinks were amazing especially the white linen cocktail. Saw a few private party groups having lots of fun and bottle service was provided. Loved location and the ease of getting to the place and felt safe. Looking forward to going back when we are in town again. Lots of dancing, laughs and fun.

Drinks pricier than average. They do not allow ball caps/trucker caps. Pork pie hats and newsboy caps possibly ok idk. But sandals and swim trunks are definitely ok. Music is decent in the evenings. Recommended if you're a resort type dude. Otherwise I'd go elsewhere. Not a great date spot either. While in PD or near El Paseo there are better lounges/bars to visit. Bartenders were the best part, no problems whatsoever please tip well. Good service. Nice to visit once. Personally I see no need to visit again as a local.

What a great find! Libation Room is a classy and upscale bar in El Paseo. Bartenders make great drinks and the atmosphere is cool. Live DJ with dance music as well.

Super fun crowd, great vibes, friendly and welcoming staff. There was a Bachelorette party when we were there and everyone was having a good time. Excellent drinks- we had a White Linen and Paseo Rose (They also have bottle service). We had sliders and tacos that were really good too. DJ was playing great music all night. Will go again for sure.

If you are looking for a place to have a good time this is NOT! It's full of rude staff that need to work on their communication skills and if you are a person of COLOR the staff will make you feel uncomfortable. I had just finished having dinner with a friend ( we are both latina) and decided to check this place out. As we headed out to hand our ID to the host she gave us this rude look and told us she was not letting anyone in. Then we politely ask if she would be letting people once others leave and she said told us she was not going to let any more people in. My friend and I decided to leave and as we left we saw the host letting big groups in. The group that the host let in the lounge weren't even dress nice they were in sun dresses and chanclas(sandals). Don't waste your time here if you are looking to have a fun time you'll be greeted with rude staff.

Came here for my bachelorette weekend and Gigi was our server. She was amazing!!! Totally charismatic and gave the best service. She came to check on us multiple times to see if we needed more drinks and if we were having a good time.

What a great bar! We are from LA but every time we come to town this is our go to spot. Great for dancing and bottle service since Palm Desert doesn't really offer that. We are always very well taken care of by the owner Chris. I recommend this place if your in the desert and want to dance. Such a great atmosphere and decor!!!

Recently I visited the Libation Room for the first time. I had amazing service and was impressed by their cocktail program. The overall vibe was fun, yet dark and sexy. Best place on El Paseo to dance the night away.

It looked cool inside. That's where it ended. No one was inside, on a Saturday night and I was told once we got inside I had to remove my hat. No thanks!

Went to grab a drink after work with my girlfriend at Libation. My girlfriend told the or bartender, Miranda, that she can't drink right now and ordered a water. Without asking, when bringing me my martini, Miranda made a virgin mocktail of a Moscow mule in the tin cup so she wouldn't feel left out. Girlfriend loved it, it's things like this that keeps us coming back for more!

Excellent drinks from Ceasor, which nails the mixology of drinks. We were looking for a quiet drink so a little hesitant to go in but really glad that we did. The DJ was excellent and mixed several decades of music seamlessly. In the end we stayed for several drinks and will be going back.

This is the spot! From the brick wall to the underground bar (have to know the password) this bar gives El Paseo a sexy new late night place to dance and keep the night going. Loved the cocktails and has a friendly staff. The Dj was great, had everyone dancing. I would for sure go back.
