Ms. Helen’s Soul Bistro’s Return to 23rd and Union Is No Longer Happening | Eater Seattle

"A focal point on the corner, the Liberty Bank Building is anchored by Black-owned businesses Communion and Avole Coffee and is cited as part of the cluster of cafes and restaurants that have made the intersection a local hub." - Harry Cheadle

The Central District’s Planned ‘Seattle Soul’ Restaurant Runs Into Delays | Eater Seattle

"I noted that the new Liberty Bank building is an affordable housing complex designed to honor the Central District's African American heritage; it's the site of the restaurant's pre-construction phase and part of a larger project that has required city partnership to address commercial equity, funding, and to make strides toward commercial affordability and ownership." - Megan Hill

Need flexible Office Space? This place works. It’s clean, reasonably attractive and is convenient to anyone working in Pittsburgh”s East End, which at this writing (Dec 2023) and under new management, has lots of construction going on around it, so it’s not exactly quiet if you are near a window. You can do phone calls in the soundproof hallway booths, though. Two nice sized conference rooms are rentable by the hour. Landlords, we hear, are by-the-bookers, so bear that in mind. They shoot a memo out the minute they view any minor infraction. Some positives are nice nearby eateries, nearest (best) shopping is Bakery Square. You are also in the theater of Duolingo, Google and other hipster companies. Parking is usually easy or tricky.

The Beauty Shoppe at the Liberty Bank Building has been my work home for nearly five years now, and I’ve enjoyed every day. I started with open space and now have a private office. Before the pandemic, I often met clients using the conference rooms and they loved it. Can’t wait for us to be fully open again. The folks who host us do a great job. Always responsive to our needs and graciously open to suggestions. They say you know you belong when people notice you’re not around and miss you! Thanks, Beauty Shoppe, for making this a place to belong! And to be in solitude in my lovely space. Folks reading this review: try it out, with however much belonging or privacy works for you. I would absolutely hate not working here! I recommend The Beauty Shoppe without hesitation!

The Liberty Bank Building is a quiet, clean, and friendly environment! Perfect for those of us that don't have an office but need a little bit of separation from home when you work. Plenty of spaces you can book to get your meetings done and always coffee and tea at the ready for long nights! Definitely recommend to any small business owner that needs a space to work/host meetings. Thanks, LBB!

Our team has worked out of the Liberty Bank Building space since 2017 and we've loved it. The staff are always supportive and helpful, always available to be responsive to our needs. The Beauty Shoppe team updates the space regularly so that it is always a comfortable and calming environment.

The spot they're in is convenient to like 19 places to grab lunch, parking behind the building is (relatively) dirt cheap, and the space is clean, quiet, and brightly lit. Front desk staff also do a solid job of responding to stuff, keeping the place in order, and upgrading over time. They're invested in making it nice, and it shows; thank you!

The Liberty Bank Building co-working space by Beauty Shoppe is one of the best spaces in Pittsburgh. My company is a member since 2019, and we've had a great experience with the management and whole staff.

The only issue with the place is parking - but I think that is just a given with the area.
