Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette - Review - Rice Village - Houston - The Infatuation

"Liberty Kitchen has expanded to Rice Village, taking over the former Gratify space with an oyster bar featuring two separate patios. Expect stacked seafood towers, bigeye tuna poke, and Texas redfish on the half shell, along with appetizers like deviled eggs and truffle fries. There's also a new Chef's Table menu debuting here before rolling out at theRiver Oaksand Memorial City locations, featuring a la carte specials like green curry mussels and duck three ways." - Brooke Viggiano

Hi T.

Google
Delicious food, outstanding cocktails, and a superb ambience made my dining experience unforgettable!! I had the pleasure of attending a private event here, and the curated menu was pure bliss and included some vegan dishes 🌱 The vegan options were thoughtfully prepared and absolutely fabulous! Dessert was so good, I found myself wanting seconds 🫣😋 Although our event featured a special menu, I was delighted to see that the regular menu also offers plenty of vegan-friendly choices. I especially enjoyed the beet hummus with avocado frites (just ask to hold the buttermilk and skip the remoulade sauce). I even ordered an off-menu avocado roll, which was exceptional. Every dish was beautifully executed, and I’ll definitely be returning to this location again. Valet is only a few steps away making any dining experience very convenient.

Google
5-star experience and I wouldn’t expect nothing less from this establishment and management. Specializing in its seafood concept with an all-around menu is what they do best. If you haven’t been to LK before, a must is their deviled eggs and seafood towers. The surf & turf is deliciously priced and picky kids would devour any of their pasta dishes. The most brilliant dish we had was their lobster bisque that came with PARKER ROLLS! Absolutely delicious! Comfortably seats parties of 4 and 6. Attention to detail from their waitstaff and managers were on point.

Liberty Kitchen never disappoints. I had the braised short rib this time and it was honestly incredible! Super tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Their food is consistently good every single visit, no matter what you order. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, the service is always friendly, and it’s just one of those places you can count on for a great experience every time. I always leave impressed and already planning my next visit.

New location in Rice Village. I have been in Post Oak … unfortunately the menu at the Rice location is limited and not as great as the other location. Some of the plates we took were good but not extraordinary and some were not so good. Again the menu is limited and all the good things are mission (why?!?!), making this just another place to eat an average seafood menu. I’m not sure I will come back again since I have better options and better food in the other location.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in, and every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Definitely a five-star experience — can’t wait to come back!

What a phenomenal addition to the Rice Village area. My family and I were lucky enough to be invited to the soft opening for brunch on Saturday and it did not disappoint. Like everything Culinary Khancepts does, the new liberty kitchen is nothing short of spectacular. I recommend any variety of the East Coast oysters, the eggs in purgatory, Lola’s poppyseed pancakes, and the deviled eggs, wow, what a treat! The service was amazing, each person taking care to make sure we had a great time. The music set the perfect vibe for brunch on the patio. They have a neat green space out back where kids (and adults) can play put-put or corn hole, or connect 4, very cool. Beautiful chandeliers and woodwork all throughout. They’ve done a fantastic job at this location and I can’t wait to go back and try all their happy hour offerings. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Liberty Kitchen was absolutely incredible! The atmosphere was so chic and the food was outstanding, but what stood out the most was their wonderful staff. Oscar effortlessly served our party of nearly 50 people with so much patience, attentiveness, and kindness. This is an amazing place to host dinner events or have an intimate dinner 10/10!

Girls who lunch, don't! First, if you know the location from before, you will be underwhelmed (Gratify was chic, this is chain like). Second, they seem to have an amazing Vietnamese chef, but in handcuffs (no Vietnamese dishes besides the mussels with green curry). The cherry on top: after 2 hours of eating and drinking, we were told no more drinks because 3 drinks for each lady after 2 hours was enough. Lets not forget that the drinks were tiny, the size of a half drink and for $18 each. Javier was very prompt to tell the ladies enough was enough, and we needed a half hour break before we could have the next drink. Thanks Javier for making our first visit the last.
