I was shopping at lidl at around 9:30 pm when I went to, what I believe was, register 2 to pay for my produce. This girl, who works at the cash register, always has an attitude. She said move your my stuff quickly, and advised her conveyor belt does that automatically. When I spoke calmly to her, she said you’re are not my manager. She also threw my receipt at me after I finished paying, but she needs to speak with management because she has a bad attitude all the time. I think she has problems with her self. She needs attention from her management to talk to her about how she behaves with customers.I don’t want her to get fired. She needs more skills with customers satisfaction. I know the store closes at around 10 pm. Maybe she wants to go home. You guys who manage the store, and company know about her behavior. I can go to other stores, but I been a member for a while, and I like to shop there because I like what you sell. This experience has really upset me.

Love my local Lidl compared to the other Food Markets in Bayonne! Their quality is excellent and amazing prices. The store is always stocked up and clean. The store associates are always friendly and helpful, especially Sumi! She’s always patiently taking my huge orders, making conversation, with a big smile. If I run to any problem, she’s there to help and very knowledgeable. & the croissants 🥲 the best!!!

Considering it's name, it's ironic they have so much! Upkeep seems somewhat questionable as misplaced items in misplaced spaces are common. One of my fave places for good prices.

Sumi was amazing .. she helped me sign up so I can get a discount... she really didn't have to .. i really appreciated it so much !!!! She was amazing!

We went to this address, Bayonne, New Jersey (good store in terms of merchandise and prices), but they had set a price different from the checkout price, and this happened to us. The item was in the correct place. All the items in the section were priced different from the checkout price. When I spoke to the cashier (Amanda), she was extremely rude to us. This was very annoying, unfortunately, until the manager came and was nice.

I went today (Dec 18, 2025 )and I was so pleasantly surprised with how clean and organized the store was and even the parking lot was clear. The shopping carts were being collected consistently making it easy to not only get a cart but to leave one when finished with it, no errant ones sticking out of the collection area or running freely across the parking lot. The produce looked fresh and the aisles so easy to maneuver. When there was more than 3 people standing in a line you would hear the announcement that another cashier was open. I have been out to many stores today and the chaos and disorganization was everywhere - except Lidl. Thank you for having enough people on staff to maintain the store and parking area, it makes such a better shopping experience. It made me think to myself - I really have no need to go to another grocery store. Great job to the Lidl Bayonne Staff!

I love LIDL. We went well out of our way to come here. Got a bunch of groceries and the best energy drink in the world: KONG STRONG!! Prices are always great. Bakery is excellent. And the aisle of shame has very neat stuff. Store typically has very low prices. Closest Lidl to me currently is over 7 hours away, so we always go if there is one nearby. Reminds me of Germany.

It's okay. I've been a few times for their baked goods. One time I went because they had a deal on sirloin steak. I saw I was about to be charged the full price instead of the sale price, so I asked the cashier how come. She said I need to use the app, and pressed send on charging me the full price. Unfortunately I had already swiped my card when I caught that, so I couldn't stop it. Instead of $24, I was charged $42. I guess their sales are made difficult to access for this exact reason. I did sign up for a Lidl account before going. I thought, as with most stores, they'd just need my phone number. How wrong I was.

This is a smaller Lidl. Everything is easy to locate. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is clean. Everything is reasonably priced.

Unfortunately I am constantly let down by this location. Things are never labeled with the appropriate price and when you earn rewards or coupons they are never in stock. You cannot get a comparable item and switch it out. It's frustrating to earn rewards and coupons that you cannot use and expire. Items that are on sale are gone by the time you get to it. Again, frustrating. This location is pretty clean and the workers are mostly friendly (there are a few that are rude but hey that's anywhere you go I guess). Prices are fine but really not that much of a deal. Better off going to aldi (if only there was one close!).

Came to Lidl on their grand opening and even though it was freezing cold, it was worth the wait. Social distancing was enforced on the line while waiting. They also gave out free bags, granola bars and apple juice. There was a DJ booth and a table to sign up for raffles. They also told everyone to download the app since there are coupons in it! Inside the store is spacious and has tons of variety. Since they only allow a certain number of people in the store it wasn't super crowded. There were so many great deals and fresh bakery items I can't wait to go back. So excited for Lidl to be in Bayonne!

This is the best grocery store with high quality food and great prices. I love their bakery section everything is fresh baked and always delicious! Wish they opened at least one store in Los Angeles

Good store, glad it opened in Bayonne. They enticed people in with discount coupons. The store is small compared to the bigger supermarkets but has almost everything one needs. I've noticed that some products have been consistently sold out like milk and cream. Oddly enough, they had a mountain of paper towels in the entryway. There are many shelving areas that stay empty despite the fact that they're always unloading new merchandise. Food is fresh. The baked goods are nicely done and not expensive. Their house brands seem to be as good as national brands, and the store is extremely clean. They have a lot of frozen food and a good amount of organic, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free foods. The housewares and gifts are fun to see but after the first couple of times you tend to pass them by without looking. Maybe the selection will rotate more after the holidays. They have a great selection of coffee and chocolate, the essentials in life. ;) Even with the opening crowds, I've never had a long wait at the register, unlike the area supermarkets. I will keep them on my weekly shopping list.

Two words... IN LOVE!! I don't even know where to truly start. Okay from a design expert this is not your traditional supermarket; please keep this in mind. It's a small format grocery store, but it truly packs a punch. Their bakery is loaded with FRESH baked goods, their produce section is always full of fruits and vegetables. & aside from all the food they do sell -- IT'S CLEAN! Also! Make sure you sign up for their rewards. They always have deal and many ways you can save on your current and next visit. I haven't been to a large chain supermarket since this location has opened. I can get all my groceries plus more for half the cost. P.S. make sure you have your own bags!

I am going to miss having an excuse to pay $16 to drive to the Lidl in Staten Island. Prices are cheap and they have things you wouldn't find elsewhere. The only upgrade that could occur is if it fused with Walmart down the road. That way I could do all my shopping at one stop. The last time I went the line was long and guess what they did? They opened more registers. Not one register. Two. TWO. Bahgawdallmighty.

This place is Lidl on the outside and HUGE on the inside! I love their Lidl pickles so much that I haven't bought another pickle brand in months. They offer almost every single thing you can ever ask for and well priced like Walmart however, Lidl is much less chaotic.

Overcharged for two items on my receipt. Promise one price on shelf and charge a higher one upon checkout. Not coming back.

HANDS DOWN, WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE OF THEIR MUSIC IS FIREEEEEEE!!!!! I've seen people dancing while standing on line and it brings me joy to se people happy while grocery shopping! Lol I've definitely Shazammed a bunch of songs because that shit was some good ass throw back! LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Prices look good until you check out and you find out you paid full price! This is another one of those bull$417 stores that you have to have an app to get sales price!

The first time I came I did not like it. I was looking for a particular item turkey wings and I didn't see it. I also don't see a butcher or fish department. Then I gave it another try. I been impressed by the fruit area and vegetable. Suddenly some of my groceries I was able to get at a lower cost. There bakery items are good. The pretzel buns are yummy. I haven't found it to be my one stop for everything but i can get a lot of my groceries here for a lower price. They may not have as big of a selection as stop and shop but there is definitely savings to be had by knocking off some of your groceries here.

Finally a store with great prices on staple foods and fresh produce! I have stopped by Lidl a handful of times since they have opened in Bayonne and I have not had a bad experience. For me, Lidl is not a "one-stop shop", meaning that I won't be able to purchase every single item and brand I need from there, however, it is not a deal-breaker because Lidl offers amazing deals on many other items I need. Their fruit and vegetable aisles are always stocked with fresh produce that I could purchase in bulk. They're usually portioned out perfectly to provide for a family of 3-4. Items such as blueberries, strawberries, bell peppers, salads, grapes, etc... that are usually expensive at any other grocery store are always nicely priced at Lidl. I also like to take advantage of their shredded/blocked cheese options and nuts & seeds. Lastly, eggs and milk (both animal-based & plant-based options) are also great staples to purchase at Lidl. I have also noticed that the staff at Lidl are very friendly and they will ring you up pretty quickly at checkout. I highly recommend stopping by Lidl for all the staple foods on your grocery list!

Lately, every time I go, the shelves are half empty. Not sure if people are excessively buying or of Lidl is failing to restock quickly enough.

New in bayonne and in this general area. It's a German brand supermarket with a great bakery. It's known to have low prices and brand names you typically don't have here in the US. This pose is 1/3 brand name, 1/3 German brand variation, 1/3 organic.

I love food and Lidl. Low prices and high food quality. I suspect the latter is related to having European roots. No-drama delivery. Far superior to Instacart.

Customer service is trash cashiers rarely say anything to u today I had a black employee never acknowledge that I was there but next customer was black & then he started talking to him with the "hey brother treatment " just disgusting since I'm there every other day ! ShopRite is next door where they actually care about there customer's! Definitely will be returning to ShopRite were they have a good customer skills

A good first day experience. Friendly staff, nice bakery. They had a DJ and gave out free bags. Very good store!

Long lines and very chaotic once inside. They close registers while people keep piling up and there's no self-checkout unlike at other Lidl's in the area.
